DB links for SYS to use

All,
I have a script that I will be running and it will be accessing multiple schemas in a remote database. The thought is to execute to script as SYS instead of re-connecting with a different schema throughout the script. But the question is what type of db link should I use for SYS to be able to run the script without any issues? Should I use a private link?

You have a couple of options:
you can create a public database link, but I generally advise against doing this - poor security practice.
You can create a db_link in the SYS schema, but then using the "connect to <user> identified by <password> using <SID>" syntax.
I personally don't like doing it this way, but it will work.
I would personally suggest creating the private db_link in the schema that will connect to the same schema in the remote database.
It's just cleaner all the way around and easier to manage (IMHO).

How to create an URL link for product cancellation using an FM

Hi,
I have tried creating an external attachment i.e URL link for a workorder by triggering a custom FM by exporting business object type , order id ,realtion type , title and link with return parameter as a message .
But i'm not being able to create URL link for workorder using the custom FM.
Kindly please suggest some solutions regarding how the URL link can be created using an FM instead of manual creation.

given that there can be a variety of reasons for something to crash, you can sometimes initialize a buffer by wiring a non-null data structure to the left terminal of the call library function node. for example, if the output is to be a string no more than 100 characters long, create a string that long of nulls, blanks or anything and attach that to the left terminal for that output. no guarantees, but i have seen that work.

Photoshop CS3 Download Link for new laptop using serial number

Hi all,
I need a download link for Adobe Photoshop CS3 for installing onto my new laptop as I bought a new laptop to run my photography work on mostly, as I use it for work. I have my serial number but not the cd package to install it as I have lost that. I am having trouble finding a link for cs3 though, can anyone help me find one?

Give me link which provides step by step tutorial or video tutorial for the following:
1. where should i save the template.fmb and library files in my local machine
2. how to create customize form using template.fmb
3. how to do test run that form in local machine (i'm asking this because the template form having reference to app libraries)
3. how to convert .fmb to .fmx
4. how to register that form in apps
i understood about how to do the above process through existing threads in this forum, but i getting lot of errors and confusion while i'm implementing. so please tell me steps or give link which provides details.

What Forms version are you using? While you're at it, what is your database and OS versions also? Can you provide us with an example of the type of errors you are getting?

Your BEST resource for developing EBS Forms is the Oracle Applications Documentation library. Select your EBS version and then find scroll to the Standards section and review the following documents:

<li>Oracle Application Framework Personalization Guide

For most of your questions, you'll find the answers in the aforementioned documents.

The APPSTAND.fmb, TEMPLATE.fmb and all of the Apps Libraries (.pll) must be in the FORMS_PATH. Which means you will need to modify the FORMS_PATH registry entry for your Forms version (6i or 10g) and EBS version (R11 or R12).
3. how to do test run that form in local machine (i'm asking this because the template form having reference to app libraries)You can't - there are too many EBS Framework calls that will generate errors when the form runs outside of the EBS Framework. You have to test your form in a Test/Dev EBS system.
3. how to convert .fmb to .fmxUse the Forms compiler executable. (frmcmp.exe - on Windows)
4. how to register that form in appsThis process is too indepth to explain in the Forum - read the Administrator Guides ;-)
I get the feeling you are trying to learn this on your own rather than attend a class. My advise is to attend some classes. They are well worth the investment! :)
As to videos, you might want to try searching uTube. I've seen some Forms tutorial videos out there in the past.
Lastly, your best source of 'Forum' help is the General EBS Discussion forum.

Disable link for a Image in Content editor web part

i want to disable hyperlink for a banner added using content editor web part. Instead of hiding using Target Audience, i want to disable the link.

Hi Vinay,
I recommend to disable the link for an image using Jquery in Content Editor web part.
First, you need to use F12 tool in Internet Explorer(IE) to get the html tag for the image, and you’d better find the class or id value for the tag of the image.
For example, if the class for the image is test, then the code should be:

I believe that our “Werbung problem” adds an additional second hyperlink to the pop-up window. This second link is activated whenever you trigger a saved hyperlink to a Mail.com site.
I had the same problem and eliminated it by deleting all bookmarks, hyperlinks and automatic links that take firefox to a mail.com address. So I just deleted all bookmarks I had saved for mail.com. I also changed my home page link because it also went to my email at mail.com. I then did a warm boot, opened firefox and re-saved my bookmarks and homepage to the desired addresses. Good luck.

How to read ZIP files(having PDFs,Image) using MQ Series link for R/3

1)Is it possible to transfer a zip file (having an image or pdf) using IDocs in SAP 4.6C using MQ Series link for R/?
Scenario: "MQ Series link for R/3" converts Business-Reports from a third-party software,into SAP IDocs.Each Business-Report contains one XML file and one ZIP file.
2)Being on ABAP side,do I have to worry about how the zip file would be converted into IDocs?

We have an old database server we use for testing/development and it's running very low on diskspace on one of the filesystems on the box. At this point in time, adding space is not a simple option for several reasons. However, there are several other data partitions on this server with plenty of space available.
I read a paper published by Sun Microsystems that advocates the use of symbolic links for dbf, ctl, and log files:

Are there any drawbacks/caveats we need to be aware of, or is this really as simple as just stopping the db, moving a few files to another fs, symlinking their locations, and restarting the db?

Well with the MS Hotmail/Outlook.com account that is hard. But she should be able to link all of it to the iCloud system using her Apple ID.
I suggest you do a Google search for "link contacts, Calendars, iMessage with iCloud".
For some stupid reason MS has limited the syncing/linking of only emails and Notes with the Hotmail/Live Mail/Outlook.com system.
They have not included any Exchange features for syncing all that info. That is unless you are using Outlook 2013 and that is only for Windows.

Speedgrade pros:
Extremeley powerful for color-grating (perhaps not quite to the level of resolve, but plenty for most users)
Well integrated with Pr and AE via dynamic link (especially compared to a non-adobe app)
Speedgrade cons:
A bit of a learning curve (but probably nothing a few good tutorials can't remedy)
So, if you're using PrPro and AE as your main editing and effects tools (not to mention photoshop, audition and perhaps lightroom), then Speedgrade seems like a no brainer to me unless you already have a lot of time and assets fully invested in some other color grading solution. I'm truly not just trying to hawk out producs, it just seems to make the most sense in your case.
