DBA_HIST_ACTIVE_SESS_HISTORY Top users

Hi,
In OEM you can see a list of top userid for a period of 5 minutes. User/program compared to the % of cpu used.
I would like to see this for a period of 24 hours, and I m trying to do this with DBA_HIST_ACTIVE_SESS_HISTORY. Does anybody know how to do this?

I believe the sql you can get in OEM only. There is a option for SHOW SQL.
Try to check that.

Suggestion : Have the "Top Users in Forum" report based on 30 days

Currently, the "Top Users in Forum" listing is based on cumulative points. This means that we will never see "rising stars !".
If the list were to report based on, say, points earned in the past 30 days, we'd at least be able to note some "rising stars !"

Hemant K ChitaleCan Jive handle the extra processing required to maintain both overall points for the persons status AND points in the last 30 days for the Top Users lists, per forum? Jeez, it can hardly handle serving the threads, don't give it more work to do. If we want anything we want the little dotty things back, at least they were useful, unlike the points system.

I was wondering how the left-hand side Top-Users in a given forum are determined?
Today I had a quick look in the OCI one (Oracle Call Interface (OCI) and found that all Top-Users had been registered for several years, but some had not posted since Oct 2006, and others posted very little in the forum at hand. In fact, out of the 10, only 2 are regular posters and in fact the two "pillars" on the forum, with the most expertise (from my experience on this forum for a few weeks).
All other "Top-Users" haven't been heard for months or even years on the forum, and some have very little posts on the forum itself (5 only for example).
This lead me to wonder what kind of heuristic determines Top-Users in a forum, as in the OCI example, it bares little evidence to reflect actual involvement in the forum.

Thus look at the top 10 as more of an indicator as to which are or were the 10 most noisiest users in the forum. Good point, and yes, only the posts counter is taken in account.
Quantity rate rather than quality. Quality rate should be better, the problem is who could be able to define the quality of response ?

I'm very interested in your reply. I'm a photographer, too. Am soon going to change from my MacPro tower and 22-inch cinema display to a MacBook Pro. Not so much for airport/lap/in-the-field but because I will be moving seasonally between two houses in different parts of the country, and want a more mobile setup. I had assumed I should hold out for the 17-inch model to be upgraded like the 15-inch, mostly because of the screen size. Haven't had a chance yet to get to an Apple Store to compare.
Do you find the 15-inch screen big enough, or do you do most of your hardcore photo editing on a different Mac? Did you find your former 17-inch unwieldy?

Top Users - log in

On APEX 4.0 home page there is a section for "Top Users" and I am assuming the quantity shown for each user is page events. I would like to calculate something similar but calculate the number of log-ins for each user. How would I go about doing that?

Hi John,
Check out the ApEx Views (available in the Tasks links on the Application Builder home page). The one you will probably be interested in is APEX_WORKSPACE_ACCESS_LOG. You can slice/dice this info a number of different ways, but for just a basic count of log-ins by user:
SELECT user_name, count(*) logins
FROM apex_workspace_access_log
WHERE authentication_result = 'AUTH_SUCCESS'

If I understand your post correctly then launch WorkGroup Manager and select Preferences from the WorkGroup Manager Menu. Enable the Show "All Records" tab and inspector option and click OK. In the Users/Groups/Computer tab you should now see the addition of another icon - it looks like a bullseye. Select this and under the filter field selecting 'AccessControls' will show you a long list. Scroll down and select Users. Now go back to the Users tab and you should see all users visible and invisible. You’ll see the same thing for Groups.
You will see different Users and Groups depending which directory node you are in. In the LDAP node you should only see Directory and System Administrator as well as VPN MPPE Key Access User in addition to any user you have created within that node. In the local Net Info node you should see users such as Amavisd User, Clamav User, Cyrus IMAP User etc. You’ll also see UIDs and GUIDs amongst a wealth of other information if you select a user or group and select the Inspector tab.
You can modify record attribute and values as well as adding your own. You can even use WGM in the same way you would use Net Info Manager locally if you wish.

Workspace Manage Workspace Monitor Top Users

If I open this monitoring report, it shows all of the useres that have visited my application in the given period of time. However, among the users I know there is a "ghost" user apearing - the chart shows statistics for an unknown and unnamed user. Any ideas what that means?

If I open the chart and determine the time fence, the chart shows all of my users and often a bar with no name for user - a name doesn't appear before the bar. It stays empty.

Lap top users....

I have a macbook pro with only 120 gb of space. I take a TON of pictures. I just recently downloaded iphoto library manger and put a second iphoto on an enteral hard drive.
Is this a good option? It sort of worries not having all my pictures in one location. I wish I could keep them on my laptop, but I just don't have space any longer. I know it is best to have 1 iphoto library and keep it in the pictures folder - but will this mess anything up if I use the manger software?
Also I wish I could keep smaller versions (not the high-res version) of my photos on my laptop so I can have them to see. Is it posable? Or would I have to export every pictures in a "small" version. (if so that would take months to do)
One more thing - another bad thing about having a 2nd lib. on a external drive is that Time Machine will not be able to back that library up. (I really enjoy the convenience of time machine)
Anyways, just wanted to see what other laptop users where doing out there that take lots of pictures.

The safest way to do this is to have all your pics in one Library on the external and a subset on your laptop. You can move pics/albums/events plus associated metadat between the two using iPhoto Library Manager.

You can do this with a Referenced Library, but this has other pitfalls. I don’t think it will take “months” to export a low res version of the pics in your Library - how many do you have?
If you go for the Full Second Library on the external, you could - carefully - import the thumbnails from it as low-res versions. Post back if you need more.

~/Library/Cahes/com.apple.audiounits.cache
Once I deleted that, FCP X launched fine. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

For starters, when you post on the forum, it is considered rude if you SHOUT AT PEOPLE!
It's not going to be possible for people to give you the "complete" information, because it has taken some people many years of learning and "doing" to get as good as they are.
The best place to start is to get yourself a database installed that you can play around with, i.e. install one on your local PC or get someone else to set one up for you.
Then read through the Concepts manual...
(under "Supporting Documentation" here...)

Then, if you look at the "Application Development" folder on the left hand menu of that above link, it contains lots of documentation to help you get familiar and started with SQL and PL/SQL.
You haven't said what background you've got, or whether you understand database design concepts at all. If not, I'd suggest you try and find some training course on the basics first and then build your way up over time to get better and better. The best way to learn is by having a go, whether that's by setting yourself a small development project to do i.e. write a small database application to store and retrieve your CD or book collection, or by looking at some of the simpler issues that people post on these forums and seeing if you can solve them for yourself and understand from other people's responses what is good practice and what is the wrong way to do things.

SCCM Report Top Console User Computer by User Collection

Trying to Get a report of where We can have a user collection then it comes back with that users computer information... I have this report working until I try to have it run by user collection. I have commented out the last join and where and

Users added to Profile Manager not showing up in everyone group

So profile manager was working quite well until I made a change to the workgroup group.
I removed the password policy from the workgroup group and added a new group for the password policy so we could essentially still manage non user assigned iOS devices.
Now when I add a new user to the workgroup group on the server I have them login to the mydevices site so we can enroll the device and they can login but are immediately presented with:
"You do not have permission to access the page you were looking for. Contact your system administrator."
In troubleshooting the issue I noticed that new users being added are not showing up the in the everyone group which is preventing the users from having proper access. Prior to all this I could add a user and they would show up in everyone as intended.
Any thoughts?

I'm not sure if this is the same issue, but I have a user in Server.app that is not showing up in Users group. She is listed in her sub-group, but I cannot add devices to her account. When I click on the arrow next to her name in the sub-group, it takes me to the Users list to the top user.

--> do we need to create ldapProvider in UCM after creating new provider in Admin server.
--> what is use of jpsUserProvider in above senerio.
--> for embedded ldap users group r mapped to role/account.
--> do we need to create role/account with the same name in UCM too?
these are the basic questions that i am not able to figure out in oracle docs.
any help is highly appreciable. (please provide some inputs, i hv already gone through oracle docs security section in admin guide)

WLS is the central security handler where in Security Provider authenticator like Default Authenticator (for Embedded LDAP) ,OIDAUthenticator (for OID) , ADAUthenticator ( for AD) etc are created when any external identity store is to be used for UCM .

That's correct . This is one of the steps that need to be done where in while configuring Security providers on WLS . With PS5 we can have multiple authentication providers and using the virtualize=true flag in security xml file , users can be authenticated from these multiple sources .

No .You can use credential maps to map the LDAP group / accounts to UCM roles / accounts .

But the the thing is that I did not find a appropriate Keyfigure which can determine number of calls made by each user . As is the case i could find the counter of queries ( 0TCTQUCOUNT ) counter for
webitems ( 0TCTWTCOUNT ) . These keyfigures will directly give the number of calls made to queries and webitems---
But I what i need is list of users with number of calls they made to the queries, webitems against thier name and there by i could determine top users ---
Any suggestions??
