Dblink adds any value in this case ?

Our application has an Oracle db.
We have to get some data (via C# / ODP.NET) from our db tables, call a stored procedure in a totally different (geographically dispersed) database, and then insert some rows in our database based on the stored procedure's output.
A colleague asked if we should set up a dblink from our db to this other db. I hadn't thought about it, and my initial impression is that the dblink gives us no value in this case. Do you agree?

If the processing is being done in the C program then I cant see how it will give you benefit other then youll only be making one connection rather then 2.
currently C program runs
call rows from db1
calls proc at db2, depending on results inserts rows into a table at db1
with a link

I dont see where theres benefit there other then you only have connection but you gotta rewrite your C to deal with the rows coming over the link. maybe not everythings obvious though. where are the rows to be insert? db2 or db1? if they are in DB2 you could pull them straight in to DB over the link without having to go through the C program. maybe a benefit there.

It sounds like you are unable to turn on Wi-Fi because the option is grayed out in Settings. Use these steps from the following article named:

Scripting problem: Add any value to GPRM0 and get 65535?

Here's the beginning part of a script I've written:
1 mov GPRM0, Last Track
2 mov GPRM4, GPRM0
3 add GPRM0, 128
4 mov GPRM5, GPRM0
As an example, Last Track is 49920 (track 6).
GPRM4 and GPRM5 I'm using only for debugging purposes to monitor what happens as a result of the mov and add operations. The actual problem is with GPRM0.
At the time when line 4 is executed:
GPRM0=65535
GPRM4=49920 (as expected)
GPRM5=65535
I can't figure out why GPRM0/GPRM5 contain 65535 instead of 50048. I'm not causing an over- or underflow with the "add" that I can see. What could cause this?
I even tried changing line 3 to be:
3 add GPRM0, 1
and even
3 add GPRM0, 0
but the result is the same with GPRM0/GPRM5=65535.
What am I doing wrong?

I have no idea if the two problems are related and I don't know how to find out.
Because of these problems and not finding a work around or knowing what else to do, I started the project over, and when I did I wanted to see if I could do something that would take fewer scripts (and therefore, I thought, less time to redo).
The play-all-1 tutorial is similar to what I tried before. But today, maybe because the sun and moon are in a different place it'll work. It's worth a shot.

How to add statiscal value in intrastat report for free of charge Pur Order

Hi Experts,
In Purchase Order if 'free of charge' check box is ticked then it wont allow us to have condition tab ( as there should not be any pricing for FOC) - SAP Standard functionality.
But since I want to report this purchase order in Intrastat report, I need to have some statiscal value for this purchase order.
Can somebody help me how I can add statistical Value to this PO in Intrastat Report ?
I have already tried following option :
1) I try to update through user exit but it is again coming as ZERO - Hence not allowing to update.
2) VEFU- Manually update the records - Not possible to edit Stats/Invoice Value of PO - Hence ruled out.
3) Incompletion log - It is showing/ directing me to the PO in change mode but I cannot edit this as there is no condition tab - Hence not possible.
Can somebody help me ?

If you check the data element and domain associated with this field (LTAK_SPEZI) in SE11. You can see that the value range for the domain has been defined there as A and B only.
So if you want to add a new value you can ask and ABAP/technical consulatnt to add new values to this Domain.
However i am not sure it will be useful (unless you have a specific requirement and want to modify the standard programs) as the field is checked in different program (eg in inculde LL03AF4V , LL03AF7F ) against these fixed values A and B.

I'm guessing your problem is caused by code validation errors: orphaned division tags for example, or mismatched code and document type (i.e. XHTML /> mixed with HTML > style closures).
Start by using the code validation tools below and fix any reported. You'll need an Internet connection for this:

I'm working on JSP that allows the user in this case to add a new restaurant to the database. I have 2 database tables, one being RestaurantTable and containing the columns:
Id (Restaurant Id) type: int (primary key)
Name (Restaurant Name) type: varchar
Address (Restaurant Address) type: varchar
PhoneNumber (Restaurant Phone Number) type: varchar
Category (Type of Restaurant) type: varchar
and the other being Rank and containing the columns:
Value (Restaurant rank number) type: float
Id (Restaurant Id same as in the RestaurantTable) type: varchar
Since all of my restaurants which are already in the database have ideas, if a user were to add a restaurant I want my JSP to give it the next Id that follows. For that I have created a SQL sequence which is rest_id_seq.
There error I'm getting is : Invalid column type
I understand that the value for Id must be an integer because that is what I defined it as when I created my table, but I don't understand anyother way to do it then to put the sequence in as it's value.
I'm really confused as to what to do. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

If you follow the advice of the previous poster Julie Kmoch and then gradualy add presets back in one at a time you might be able to find the one that is causing the issue. I may be guessing, but I believe the issue has something to do with either an incompatible Preset setting (eg a older preset in newer version of LR) or a corrupt Preset.
Say you bought LR2 and imported a bunch of Presets from the internet, cuz 'Hey these effects are cool and I don't have to recreate the wheel', and then you upgraded to LR3 (not a clean install) and now one of the Presets that calls a certain slider setting or value that is different in LR3 doesn't work anymore. This might be why it throws the error, but again I am just speculating.
Location of LR Preset folder in Windows Vista/ Windows 7
C:/Users/<YourUserName>/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Lightroom/Develop Presets
If you do not see the folder AppData, you may need to change the settings in Windows Explorer to 'Show Hidden Files and Folders'. To do that in Windows Vista/ Windows 7, open a Windows Explorer window, Click on Organize, then Foler and Search Options. Then click on the View tab and select the option button next to Show hidden files, folders and drives.

Yes, if you choose the Erase and Sync option (or restore your iPod) you will be allowed to sync your iPod with the new computer.

I have a domain with 2 DCs (both virtual machines) in 2 different Hyper-V Hosts, and one of the perform as a PDC Emulator.
Dose this case make any influence on the time sync?
i.e. Both of the VMs sync with Hyper-V host, instead the other host should sync with the PDC Emulator?
I run w32tm command and get the following result:

It looks like your PDC is successfully pulling time from an external source. DC8 is not longer pulling from Hyper-V so that is good.
When you set a client to pull from a source ( and in this case DC8 is pulling from NT5DS, which tells it to pull from the PDC), and it CAN'T pull from that source, it will default to Local CMOS Clock. This is likely an easy fix.
First, check connectivity:
- Method one- Download Portqry and run this command: portqry -n HPVZH05 -p both -e 123 and see if the results say listening, or
- Method two- Run this command from DC8: w32tm /stripchart /computer:HPVZH05
If you get any kind of error using method two, it's a connectivity issue. (Maybe you have a firewall that's blocking access?)
The other cause of this, and probably more likely in your case, is that your PDC isn't properly advertising as a reliable time source, so DC8 isn't 'allowed' to pull from it.
Try running this command on your PDC: w32tm /config /reliable:yes
Then go restart time on your PDC, THEN DC8 again. (net stop w32time & net start w32time)

That usually means your phone was previously sync to a different iTunes media library.
by syncing to your Mac now, if want to wipe the data off the phone and sync it with the data currently in the iTunes media library.
