DDL Auto Creation For Various DBs

Hi,
Is there any open source/API that allows auto creation of tables/index/PK/FK ?
The same code should work on various DBs: Oracle and informix as for now. The issue is that I'm aware of the structure that I intend to create, however, there is a difference in the DB types. For example number in oracle is equivalent to integer in informix and both of them are being represented by Integer in java.
I know hibernate can generate the insertion statment and handle the DML, but is it capable to support the DDL as well? (wasn't able to find answer for that).

Ok, this still sounds like a crock, but if it's a pre-existing crock that you're stuck with that's a much better reason.

If that's not what you're talking about, please restate the problem and get someone to proof-read your post. It's not very clear what you're asking.

The problem with managing database tables dynamically is that creating tables is likely to be poorly performant, is usually not a party to transactional logic, and may require substantial parameterization to operate correctly - for example to ensure that the table data ends up on the correct partition and participates in the backup regime.
Since you're asking about DDL dialect support you evidently want support for multiple DB platforms, increasing substantially the likelihood of getting poor performance.
Whereas all databases worth the name support performance transactional usage of pre-existing tables.

Auto Po creation for Services from service PR

Dear friends,
I need to configure the same scenarion Auto PO for Service PR with item cat D and Account assignment K.
I have done following settings.
1) Auto PO marked in Vendor master
2)SproMMExternal Services ManagementSource Determination and Default Valuesfor Purchasing Organizations-Auto Po generation for service requitions.
3)PR created with Item cat --D and account assignment cat K with material group as input data.
no material number and service number.
4)Info record created for material group and vendor.
5)Source assigned to PR via T code ME56
now i am trying to create the Auto PO via ME59N but i am getting the message " no suitable PR found"
Please suggest the action.

This has to be done in WM. Activate the automatic TO creation for the releavnt Inventory/warehouse movement . Its under interafces - inventory management in the WM component in config.

Auto creation of po from shopping cart

Iam in SRM 5.o,CLASSIC Scenario.
In configuration for "Auto creation of po from shopping cart"i have given "purchase order if item data complete,otherwise PR"in SPRO>SRM>srmserver>cross application basic settings>Define objects in Backend(PR,PO,requisition)
So shopping cart is been created with PUR org,PUR GROUP,Vendor tax code,account assignment etc,but purchase requisition is created and not purchase order.Is there any settings left over

Hello Chandra,
You also could use the PR (in ECC) and try to convert it into a PO (ME57). If it asks you for some additional data (e.g. vendor, price, ..) this might indicate, that it is missing in the SC.
Also, you could try and debug transaction ME59 (auto PO creation) to see, what's missing/checked.

We are starting discussions to determine how we could auto-create requisitions based on a list of servers in order to perform periodic health checks.
One approach we thought about was creating one service request that could spawn multiple requests, again based on a list and using a set schedule (weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly, etc.)
Has anyone implemented this and can provide some guidance/tips?

Presently: 120 page Blurb publishing with 190 images
I have created a large number of INDD documents that I piece together from many sources,
such as file folders, internet searches, external drives, emails...kind of grabbing things
from all over the place. usually I publish this as a PDF for local and archival use. Sometimes
using this also for newsletters and other ways to distribute documents as pdf and epub.
I never really paid to much attention to LINKED FILES and where they might
be located, as my intent was PDF and you can publish a very
serviceable Pdf without verifying or correcting MISSING LINKS...
NOW, I am working on a higher end 120 page Photo BOOK to have printed on paper.
I did not organise my image assets into a folder, i should have first. Now as I go to
upload to the publisher I find I have to many missing links to images. So I am going
back through the whole project and organising the assets and re-linking...what a lot of work this is.
I was wondering if InDesign supports automatic creation of assets folder?
As you place images, with their links, the program creates a folder and puts a copy of the file there?
I don't see anything about this subject.
I am wondering why not? It would sure make the work flow speed up. Options for
the format, size, pip etc. Does this exist in InDesign and if not
wtf not?
Sure would appreciate anyone's thoughts on this. It is to late now to save this
relinking 190 images, but I realise I need to be better prepared with my assets in the
future. I work on a number of publications, some spontaneously and others
more carefully planned...some sort of auto process for asset-linked-folders
seems a simple enough coding issue. It is 2014 already.

Thanks to everyone for these answers. I guess the real answer is "no", Adobe software engineers see no reason to create a script which
will place linked files into a folder. To bad. A really serious and lazy oversight in my view. The package function is helpful if one has already
organised their assetts.
As great as these programs are, this is an oversight of some frustration. As I said in my comments above, it seems an easy enough routine to program
into the app. Why should a user have to worry about collecting details of resources/links for a document?
Even after all these years?

Thanks for the suggestion.
However, we thought of an alternate method that does involve changing the customers existing business process.
1) Change the field AUDISP in the network profile to 1 "Never" for the conversion.
2) Migrate the data. Program will create Networks, Activities & Components with the field AUDISP set to "Never create Reservation or Purchase Requisition".
3) Change the field in AUDISP in the network profile back to "2 From Release".
We will have to get the users to clean-up their data (close outstanding PRs or convert those PRs to POs) before this exercise for a clean cut-over.

Auto TO for 102 IM (104 WM)

I have done production with 101 IM Movt(103 WM Movt) which has crated an entry in WM with st. type 902 and Bin "Production order". After this, I have transffered to bin no S-001 with 999 WM movt.
But when I am doing 102 IM movt(104 WM Movt) , system has created an -ve entry with st. type 902 and Bin "Production Order".
Due to this, I have one +ve quantity in S-001 Bin and one -ve quantity in "Production Order" Bin in WM and nothing in IM.
To remove this diff in WM, I can use 999 movt and can remove diff.
But we dont want to do this and instead I want to generate auto TO at the time of 102 IM Movt(104 WM Movt) to transfer from bin S-001(where the stock is available) to bin Production Order.
I have tried auto TO all config but failed to craete auto TO. Please let me know is there any possibility to do the same.
If not, can I restrict 102 IM Movt document to post if the stock is not available in related interim bin "Production Order".

Once you do the putaway from 902 storage type, the interim bin is deleted. Even if you make the necessary settings for auto TO for 102 mvt type, it will fail because you don't have an interim bin to move the stock to. If you had a fixed bin in 902, then you could automate the TO creation by specifying the source and destination bins.
You could technically avoid creating 102 IM movement, if you disable the -ve quant allowed field in 902 storage type. But the very purpose of having -ve quant allowed in interim storage types is to aid in such reversal process.

in proxy program you have to call BAP_PO_create...etc function module.

Yes according to standar SAP only requisitions get created while saving production order ..........if you want to have Purchase order also to be created you can approch this way...
1.     use exit PPCO0001

create a background job id in SM36 .....call the methof for external event triggering

Repository Service for Auto Submit for Approval

Can anyone help me with the creation of a Repository Service to auto 'submit for approval' any document created.
My main problem is in two methods:
1) removeRepositoryAssignment(IRepositoryManager mgr)
In some samples, I saw always this code line:
mgr.getEventBroker().unregister(this, ResourceEvent.CREATE_CHILD);
But in my project the unregister method doesn't have that parameters
2) received(IEvent event)
I need some help to know what code should I put

Hi,
1) make sure you use com.sapportals.wcm.repository.manager.IRepositoryManager, use the JAR (bc.rf.framework_api.jar from the \usr\sap\XXX\JCXX\j2ee\cluster\serverX\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\WEB-INF\portal\portalapps\com.sap.netweaver.bc.rf\lib folder) from the portal you are willing to develop to make sure you have the actual libraries.
2) in this method you have to catch the events that creates the resource (ResourceEvent.CREATE_CHILD) - later you will see, that you have to handle also the CHANGE events and so on. When you have the event, get the resource - for CREATE_CHILD it is
event.getResource()
Now you can handle the submit for approval by yourself.

Hi experts,
Anybody worked with auto PO for services (Service created through AC01)?
We already set up auto PO for material but cannot do the same for service as we cannot create source list for service which is a mandatory condition for Auto PO set up for material.
Anybody can suggest how to set up auto PO for services. We have service contract for theseervices.

AUto Service PO is not Possible in Std SAP.
You can create the auto Service PO with DIEN service material but it will have the following disadvantage:
Material Master to be created with Material Type DIEN (Service) u2013 MM01
Material type service has NO QTY Update And NO VALUE Update takes place
No Accounting view created as there is no value and qty update in MMR.
If you create Service PR:Item category D (Services) Input not possible and No services tab will be available, where all break up of the services can be entered
1.     If these materials are used, system does not allow setting Item category as D (Services).
2.     Since the PR is not created with item category D it will no be considered as service PR.
3.     The PO Created with reference to the PR will not also be considered as a Service PO, and will not have all the functionalities of a Service PO.
4.     Procurement of services made against account assignment.
In the PO No service based IV will come.
Create Goods Receipt for Service PO.
Note: No service entry sheet creation/ release possible, only GR possible
ML81N u2013 Not possible
And Even if you do the GR>Though, 101 is done no stock update will take place.

Auto creation of SUBCONTRACT PO at GR?

As title, is subcontract PO can be auto created at GR?
When I use t-code: MB01, it shows "Please enter net price".
Is this due to subcontract info record is not considered?
Here's my setting:
Standard purchasing org assigned to plant.
Movement type 101 is ticked for auto creation of PO at GR.
PO document type is default to 'NB'.
Purhcase group is assigned in material master.
Subcontract info record for standard purchasing org, vendor, material is created. And price is effective.

               its not possible in SAP for creating the automatic PO for sub-contracting through the posting of goods receipt.. for my knowledge with out transferring the goods to sub contractor we cannot valid it as the sub-contracting process... so as the basic movements are not there how can we post out the goods receipt of subcontractor..
               and one more thing, when there is no effect in material document (no transfer postings to subcontractor) how can automatic subcontracting PO can be generated while making the GR..
               so, for my knowledge its not possible to create... if im wrong please correct me give me the solution.
