Deadline Facility

Hi,
I am absolutely new to this DEADLINE feature.
We have a requirement of sending an EMail initmation for every 5 minutes till the WORKITEM is executed. Is this possible?
Can anyone help me out.

Well I just said roughly 5 mins, in reality it will be 24 hours.
Thanks for your reply. I tried the Latest End Reached tab and it's working as expected. So this should solve my problem.
BTW...We have designed 5 level WORKFLOWS and now the USER is asking for this DEADLINE FACILITY. Is it suggestible to change the TEMPLATE?
I feel...Redesigning the WHOLE TEMPLATE with DEADLINE FEATURE with LOOPS is very troublesome process.
Can you give your idea?

I hope people don't mind me offering this as a token of my gratitude, should someone be able to resolve this-
I'm completely stuck now and feel powerless, unable to finish this edit because of this technical problem...
Basically, when I apply Time Remapping to a nested sequence, it becomes black from about halfway through, onwards. If I disable Mercury Playback Engine, it solves this issue and the blackness is replaced by the remainder of the clip but other problems happen (edge feathering suddenly isn't possible[!?] and obviously performance)
Not sure if it's directly related but if I apply a new Edge feather it curiously slips clips back or forward a few frames..

I think there should be a law stipulating that companies like Adobe must make it clear when a feature in their (pretty expensive) product doesn't work properly, so people like me don't stuck in a situation where they have a deadline they risk not meeting because the software doesn't work as advertised...
I'll have a think about a workaround I guess.. maybe something in After Effects..

Unless I misunderstand the question, you can't do what you're asking to do. Apple doesn't allow you to bypass their store and host public apps on a website. The exception is an enterprise app, which requires an Enterprise account with both Apple and Adobe. This type of enterprise app can be distributed only within the company. If that's what you want to do, you can learn more here:

Another option is to add the development app to several devices and use those for your demo.

After the latest update to Photoshop 2014, something went wrong and started spray-like black oil on canvas. I have deadline with cover. Can you help me please?

How do I undo whatever went wrong after installing the latest update to Photoshop 2014 and suddenly when I tried to paint or touch up my illustration (book cover I'd drawn and painted, then scanned in and continued painting, changing. It's mostly done but I needed to send it like yesterday!!) OR touch up a photograph, black-like oily smudge-like substance sprayed around the point of the brush. I tried to fix by resetting but really didn't know what to do and probably made it worse. However, the problem happened after I updated the Photoshop Creative Cloud 2014 on my desktop 8.1 Windows and after a Tech helped update the regular CC Photoshop on my laptop 2007, 64 bit Windows to 2014. He promised to call back after giving it time to install but didn't for whatever reason on Friday. That happened to go up to the same update I did on my Windows 8.1 Windows. I have this deadline and really stressed. COULD IT BE THE UPDATE OR BOTH. REGARDLESS, CAN SOME EXPERT HELP ME UNDO WHATEVER THE UPDATE AND/OR I DID? how can i view and apply new custom patterns without going to preset manager? i had this facility but have now lost it. i design patterns but am fairly new to photoshop. i used to be able to click on the drop down menu in patterns in the 'fill' box but cannot now do this. have i inadvertently clicked on something to turn this facility off? i now have to go to 'preset manager' and manually move my new design to the first box and click 'done' so that i can use it.

Which version of photoshop are you using?
After you define a custom pattern it should be added to the bottom of whatever patterns are already loaded.
For example, if you define a custom pattern and then go to Edit>Fill>Pattern, the newly defined pattern should have been added to the existing loaded patterns.

Urgent Deadline to Fix PC Mess Displaying iWeb Created Site -- Please Help!

IWeb 08 and web-design-savvy Mac users, I really need your help... and I'm on a tight deadline.
I've designed the website promoting our group's big event by using iWeb 08; I was very troubled when I discovered tonight that there are major display problems in Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 on Windows PCs. This website is essential to promoting the event and I can't afford to lose traffic because of display issues.

Can anyone walk me through the best fixes for the following problems?
On a PC in Internet Explorer:
1) The home page display chokes up during scrolling; there's a sort of "stuttering" effect in rendering of simple images that slows down the PC and gums things up.
2) The layout of the center-justified text is trashed by Explorer's insertion of large blocks of blank spaces and a line return in an area where I change the color of the text for emphasis.
On my web pages that display the iWeb-generated navigation links:
3) The label for the final navigation link drops down to a second row, creating a ragged, poorly formatted look.
4) If you click on the navigation link for the current page, it takes you to the home page instead of keeping you on the current page.
None of these problems happen in Safari for Windows.
In Firefox for Windows, I believe that only problem 3 happens.
Explorer 7 for Windows appears to fix only problem 2.
-Will an "optimizer" program fix any or all of these problems?
-Can I open the iWeb-created html files in Netscape Composer, SeaMonkey, TextEdit, or any other application, change the html code to fix any of this, and save the repaired result?
-Is there any change in the formating within iWeb that I should try that will put things right on a PC?
Thanks for any help you can offer. I have to fix this somehow this weekend.

I'm still struggling with the decision of how to deal with issues 1 and 2 On a PC in Internet Explorer. (See below.)

Here are options I'm considering.
One is to take screenshots of the site's current iWeb-generated graphics, turn them into jpegs, and reinsert them into the page as jpegs. My thinking is that it would eliminate any Explorer problems with rendering png images and effects.
Another option is to rebuild the entire site in another program, trying to imitate the look of my current iWeb-created site. The problem is, I don't know if I have to skills to properly create my PayPal online registration section, which is essential. If I do try to redo the entire site, I haven't decided to use Netscape Composer (my old method), SeaMonkey (its successor), or some other application with which I have no experience. If I do recreate the entire site, I'm going to have to be careful to exactly duplicate the individual page names, so that I don't break the links for anyone who has linked to the current pages.

I have written a little book on 'Pages' initially I was able to download it to friends, however, this facility is now not working. Can anyone tell me what I can do to resolve this. Please.

I have just written a little book, on my iPad, using 'Pages' I was able to download it for proofreading, however, this facility has now ceased. When I press 'send' it makes the 'rushing sound' but in fact does not download!

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10-15 seconds).

I tried to download an e-filing client software from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) website [http://www.wipo.int/pct-safe/en/download/download_client.htm] using Firefox. Clicking the link to download yielded no activity. I eventually tried the same link in internet explorer and it worked. This occurred last week. I have a deadline to complete an international patent filing today; and in order to do so online, I had to request a Secure Digital ID from WIPO. It was approved and received early this morning (Central European Time Zone); and the accompanying guidelines suggested that I use the same computer and browser to retrieve the ID. This meant that since I use Firefox as my default browser my request was also made and had to be retrieved in Firefox. Following the WIPO support instructions I ran into exactly the same problem of inactivity when trying to "Backup" my newly installed ID certificate per WIPO instruction, so that it may be imported into the e-filing software. Please help as soon as you can as my patent deadline is merely hours away. Please also see a response from the WIPO helpdesk below:

Just to follow up on my findings. My last issue regarding the digital certificate was not at the time of initial download into Firefox, but my application required that I backup the certificate into a folder which can then be accessed to sign a submission generated by a third-party Client software.
After finally steering away from the digital signing route by opting for a non digital filing of my project, I later revisited the Firefox certificates list only to find that the 'Backup' button still didn't work or respond in any way whatsoever; however since I only had a single certificate on my list... I threw my hand up in the air and tried the 'Backup All' button... guess what - that worked!! My browser then navigated to a file browser which allowed me to save the certificate to a folder of my choice. Of course this was after the fact as my deadline had already passed and and I had the Administrator who initially granted my secure ID revoke it once I was blocked from downloading it by Firefox.
Just an update/FYI for y'all... But I'm not sure if this type of anomoly is due to a glitch on my computer or a glitch on the browser - but it certainly did catch me off-guard during a deadline.

regarding the transport request :
when i was trying to execute the step : "Schedule bakgrd for missed deadlines " MANUEL it was giving me an option of SAVE AND SCHEDULE . which was creating the transport request . but when i executed it automatically it worked fine without asking a request to me ... i don't know why )-: ... probablly we can specify a different interval then the standard of three minutes and which will be transported (it's just a guess) . i have executed it automatically ...

Unfortunately not. Lion has made many adjustments to the previous system. Try opening your pdfs in keynote.

How do I use my Email facility

I am a new Blackberry user and being of advanced years find some of the new technology difficult to understand. I have now posted 3 questions on this forum and have been delighted with the help I have received.
My 4th question is as follows:
I have now updated the phone from my service provider (Orange) and now have an "Orange World" browser which gives me access to the internet and with this I have no problems.
From the same source I also have an Email facility and would appreciate some help.
I have 2 email addresses one is @demon.co.uk and the other is @virgin.net. I do not want any more. When I am away from home I would like to be able to redirect my incoming Emails to my Blackberry and be able to reply to them by Blackberry but when I am back home receive them on my desktop as normal.
Is this possible and if so how do I set it up?

You don't need to worry about BB fetching all emails and leaving none on the server for you to download via your regular email client on the computer. The way BB's mail service is (normally) working is to push a copy of the email to your handheld device, while leaving a copy on the server. Now, if this wold prove to be untrue, there's bound to be a setting for always leaving a copy. Log in to your email settings page via a web browser on the computer, to familiarize yourself with the options. To get there, you might need to have a word with your operator. In my case, they didn't know, but using the url: operatorname.blackberry.com did the trick. You can also do this from the bb phone, and you need to set up a user login.
The second part of your question is about syncronizing your email box on the computer with the inbox on the phone. I don't have a straight answer but there are ways to do it. For example, when you download email to your computer it is usually done via a protocol called POP. If you can change this to another protocol, called IMAP, it will synch the inbox folders on every client you are using with the email server so that you never have to read an email twice. But that is if your ISP / email provider can enable this. And having said that, I'm pretty sure there is a smarter way, let's leave room for someone else to provide a better answer.

I am having a problem sending photos by way of the share facility in iPhoto. I have looked in accounts and i cloud is not listed as an option. I removed MobileMe and reloaded it and that enabled me to send the photos but then the email didn't arrive

When I first tried to email photos from the share facility of iPhoto 9.2.3 I received a message something along the lines of server didn't recognise your id and password. Read other peoples posts that suggested removing and reloading icloud in the iPhone account section. No icloud in my accounts just email and mobile me so I removed and reloaded mobile me. After that I sent a test email to myself. It arrived eventually but disappeared the instant I tried to open it. Shut down my Macbook completely and then switched it on again with exactly the same results. I am using OS X 10.7.4. Can anyone tell me how to get icloud as an option for my iPhoto emails? I use icloud for my normal emails.

I've resolved my problem now. It wasn't iphoto: preferences:@ that I needed but iphoto:preferences:general where there is the option to choose email for sending photos. Can't believe I missed that before.
