Dear Creative, Mac OS X Is A BIG DEAL. We Need Drivers?

Dear Creative, During the past five years, Apple has grown 500% (five-hundred percent) while Microsoft has grown 0.75% (three-quaters of one percent) yet we still have no Creative drivers for Mac OS. I don't get it? I kindly ask someone in management with Creative that you guys get drivers/software out for Mac OS very quickly. It will be a VERY wise business decision. Think about the sales it will drive....

You can't take it off. Just delete the old Xcode installer (look at the version number by selecting the Xcode installer and pressing command+i in the finder. The one that equals the Xcode from the link I posted is the new one)

Dear Creative,?My advice is to just continue to ignore them. After all, they've already spent their money and it's in your bank, so why waste time and resources on them...when there's a whole new crop of customers out there to be harvested. It's just simple common sense. These losers who complain about spending a few hundred dollars for a piece of equipment that won't work are entirely missing the point, that Creative is a massi've company involved in many things and cannot be bothered by trivialities and customer pettiness. Dear Creative,?I really enjoy your X-FI ExtremeMusic product. I think it's a tremendous piece of engineering, and represents?an excellent?final result in audio quality. Virtually all my games work as expected - except Battlefield 242. As with the other members of the forum, I am able to play the game with medium settings in Hardware mode,?or X-FI modem in the "Entertainment" mode setting. Unfortunately, all these options required a reduction in quality. The alternati've for me is horrible static which eventually leads to a BSOD. My equipment:?AMD Athlon 64 3200+MSI Socket 754 (MS-745)XFI Xtrememusic.5GB RAM300GB HDXP Home SP 2EVGA 7600GT CO6. Speaker Setup (Logitech X-630, I think)?Nothing on my system is overclocked. I had the fortune and misfortune of sending my soundcard in for warranty repair. This resolved an overheating problem I had with the card, and I do appreciate the speedy service. However, the static problem with BF242 still exists. We can now rule out any benefits associated with a higher firmware version on the soundcard. Battlefield 242 has been patched to version .5, and this has not had a positi've impact on the problem. As of this date, I am using?the latest drivers on your website. I would be grateful if you could post a confirmation of the problem, and steps being taken to remedy the issue. Again, please keep up the good work as I do think the XFI series is a tremendous product line.

I have experienced this too. It seemed to be the worst when I use speakers cranked up very high as well as my device volume being cranked to over 90%. I would get awful digitized noises (not analog distortion or clipping). It was terrible. It did manifest itself the most in Camp Gibralter 64 player conquest when there were MANY audio events happening... between VOIP, arty, gun noises, defib noises and the like, after about 5 minutes of gameplay in hardware mode with the volume cranked, my X-Fi would do this too.
Now for the solution:
I realized that when I play with headphones, I turn the headphones volume on the headset itself all the way up and turn the sound card down to keep from murdering my ears... never had a problem in 242 when playing headphones... using speakers with the speaker system and the X-Fi volume cranked I would get the wierd noises and problems in 242. I honestly think at high volume the X-Fi works WAY too hard in 242 with hardware acceleration along with high volumes/pre-amping in the card.
So, what I did was use Arctic Silver thermal adhesi've and I installed a heat sink on my X-Fi processor. The heat-sink seems to be doing the trick. So far I have been in 20 minute matches with the volume on 90% on the X-Fi and have not heard any glitches at all. I do hear minor clipping on the arty strikes but nothing like the digitized garbage sounding noises that I was hearing. Hope this helps you guys out.

Mac iOS version 10.5.8 and iTunes on Mac is 10.6.1. iPad and iPhone version is 6.0(10A403). When I check for updates on the Mac book pro it says software versions are up to date.
When I check for iTunes version 10.6.3 it looks like it is for snow leopard operating system which I am not on. How to I get my devices to sync with computer. Everything worked prior to iOS 6 upgrade on remote devices.

iTunes 10.6.3 (i.e. latest update - which hasn't had an issues apart from syncing).
I tried 3 different USB sync cables. Still not syncing.
Do I really have to update my Mac OS to 10.6.8 in order to sync my phone ? I thought as long as you have iTunes 10.6.3 you're ok...
Is there a way to update to Mac OS 10.6.8 (or later) without wiping the hard drive and doing a new install?..

Mac Pro Slow Shutting down Disk Ut says needs repair

Hi hope someone can help,
My mac pro has been taking a long time to shut down recently and this morning when i booted up all i had was a black screen with my mouse pointer (really weird).
I used Disk Utility to "verify disk" and it said that repairs were necessary. Here's the log:

I have a clone of my drive on an external drive so i booted from that i tried to repair permissions on mac pros drives but it said repairs weren't needed, Log:

Two things off the top:
128MB are GUID partitions that are not user volumes.
There is also a 200MB EFI partition as well.
Drive Genius needs to get their program updated.
You need to work from an "emergency" boot drive to repair your boot drive, RAID or no. I hope you are and not from CD or DVDs.
Forget about Permissions. They are very minor. They only have to do with ownership and security and based on what is in
/Library/Receipts
Trying to verify? all you want to do is repair and rebuild.
If you ran DU and DW and did repair and rebuild and WROTE NEW DIRECTORY and the problem remains, erase and restore, or...

Don't use it except to test, learn, experiment with. But not for system drive.
Above I asked, "are these a matched pair of drives" ie, same make, (looks like same size), vendor, model? they should be. Less chance of trouble if nothing else.
ON the boot volume, do a Get Info when you click on the drive, look for "Ignore Ownership on this Volume" and make sure it is NOT CHECKED. It can't be to repair permissions and be bootable.
The underlying cause of disk errors may be marginal or bad RAM. Test those FBDIMMs. Run Apple Hardware Test and Memtest (even Microsoft uses Memtest for Vista).
Drives rarely break. Systems do. Directory and btree catalogue and volume information blocks do.

You would know for a fact if the device is in use, but if you go back to the find my iPhone app in iCloud.com, you can either select to erase it, or place it in lost mode, in which case, once the device makes a connection to the internet, it will automatically go into that mode.

Are you sharing the same iCloud account as your daughter? If so, that would explain why your contacts are merged. To fix this, you would need to migrate her device(s) to her own iCloud account. After doing so, you could then delete her contacts from your Mac without effecting the contacts on her device(s).

If you didn’t erase the drive and install using you AppleID, then the OS and the purchased apps are still registered to the other AppleID. You cannot change that by logging into iCloud. Apps are forever tied to the AppleID used to purchase/download them.
You have to erase the drive and download/install the Apps using your AppleID.

You don't. Since you have an Intel Mac, buy a Mac OS X 10.6 DVD from the online Apple Store.

Choose About this Mac from the Apple menu and check the processor.
