Dear, most awesome Apple, please allow us to downgrade our phones back to iOS 6

We, the users will greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
Here's the thing. Yesterday I upgraded my most awesome iPhone to not so awesome iOS7 and now I cannot sync it with the iTunes. The iTunes refuses to recognize my phone and keeps telling me that I need new iTunes. I go to iTunes.com and try to download it, no luck. I use my T-Mobile cellular network (it ***** as well) so I cannot download big apps like itunes. What is the solution if I don't wanna pay one dollar more for internet.

There is no Apple in this user to user forum.
apple has never supported downgrading.

Apple, please allow downgrade to iOS7 for iPad 2 users. iOS8 is vera slow!

I had the same problem with my iPad 2 after upgrading to ios8.  I went to Apple Store to ask and confirmed that it is a very common problem to ipad2 owners.  I asked the techician why didn't we get a "warning" from Apple, and he said Apply was not responsible and simply not in their agenda for that.  I was very disappointed as I thought essentially Apple wanted to push older iPad owners to buy the ne, because my iPad 2 is basically a piece of crap after the upgrade.  I understand, our machines get old and not powerful enough to take newer updates.  But what is unreasonable and unacceptable is the fact that Apple did not provide any guidance on this before owners decided to upgrade iOS or not.

  • Please allow us to downgrade back to Anna!

Many people are disappointed with the new Belle update. I'm one of them. I accept that there is currently no way to roll-back to a former version, but I would like to ask... Why?
I'm sure many people would apprecciate the ability to roll-back to an operating system they prefer, and I can't see why there would be an issue with doing so. There was no "try-before-you-buy" with Belle, and for those who tried it and don't like it, they have no way of going back to what they were familar with.
In some instances, such as mine, Belle has actually caused more problems than it's solved. I would choose Anna any day over Belle, despite Anna's few flaws. At least it worked as I expected it to (more or less)!
If you "upgrade" your car with a body kit, you can always restore it back to how it was. If you update your PC's operating system from XP / Vista to Windows 7, you always have the choice to go back to an older version. So why is it such an issue to be able to downgrade our phone's software to a previous version? A version, I might add, which is currently pre-installed on all brand new handsets...
I could easily go out and buy a brand new handset with Anna pre-installed, and I would be able to use it without updating to Belle - But why should I when Nokia could quite easily offer us the option of downgrading to Anna?
Just because Belle is newer, it doesn't necessarily make it better than what preceeded it! You only have to take one look at Microsoft Vista as an example of how an update can be worse than what came before! Windows '98 was so flawed that Microsoft were forced to release Windows '98 Second Edition to fix many of the problems imposed by the former release. This analogy can be compared to Symbian Belle
If Belle is indeed going to be the last major update available for the N8 (as rumoured), then I believe Nokia owe it to us to either fix what they've broken, or give us the option to downgrade back to Anna via Nokia Suite, or as a last resort, sending our handsets to a service centre for downgrading
I didn't pay all that money for a brand new handset 15 months ago for Nokia to just ruin it with broken updates! I love my N8 to bits, but I just wish the software would compliment the hardware. I was perfectly happy with Anna, but I can't go day-to-day using broken Belle...

I don't think belle is that horrible.   (really beautiful)
now I can watch movies that I wasn't able with Anna.
" remember me android - something that I hate "
but I agree it comes with some problems
like one of my most important app doesn't run on belle.
PED is a ide for symbian
Word ( quick office ) is now better, but haven't any fuction that ped has. ( run )
I miss the power saving option from battery icon -.-
and they doesn't care about give us a widget to replace it.
I hate the new browser because I doesn't see any full screen option.
     and many others thing.
isn't for all that minimal bug that will make me go back to Anna
if u care about unsigned app j-  just wait for modified CWF.

I'm having same problem with my iPhone 4.  Even after restoring twice.   Simple tasks casue the phone to lock up and restart, which, thanks to iOS 7 takes much longer than with iOS 6.
I love my phone, but it is almost unsuable after update.

  • My iPad2 (wifi only) is significantly slower since upgrading to iOS 8.0.2. Is Apple addressing this?  Any way to go back to iOS 7?

I run an iPad 2 on iOS 8.0.2 and have no significant speed issues (FWIW).
Try resetting the iPad by holding the home and power keys down until the Apple logo appears.
Any way to go back to iOS 7?
No. Apple does not support iOS downgrades.

  • Apple please allow the user to edit the genres

You know after apple revamped iTunes 12, and I think that they did a great job,, I started to think about the  genres.  I really wish that I had control over what genres appeared in my list because the overwhelming majority go unused and I'd like to have only the ones that are pertinent to me in my list.  So apple if you are reading this please allow the end user to choose which genres appear in their list and allow them to delete the rest.

  • APPLE please allow us 1 Calendar Restore

So...tonight I merged my wife's iCloud and MobileMe accounts.  When I merged the data with her PC, it merged the calendars (as suppose to).  However, I did not know it removed ALL of her data off her Outlook calendar and created the NEW "calendar" calendar in Outlook.  So when I logged in to her iCloud account and saw 2 calendars, I deleted one of them. You guessed it, it was the main calendar with ALL her data.  the only way I can get this is with Apple doing a server restore that I know of.
I am begging APPLE to please allow us 1 do over...now I know what not to do.
    HELP!

Apple isn't here. This is a user to user forum.
So no matter how much you beg you are never going to get their attention here.

  • $600 I phone stolen and Apple will allow thief to reactivate MY phone!!!

Ridiculous.  Apple says "we aren't the police".  In other words when someone calls to set up an account with Apple and gives them the serial number of their new phone (stolen from me) Apple allows them to activate it.  I'm not asking Apple to turn in this thief.  I'm asking them not to allow anyone to use MY phone.
When I call Apple they ask for my user name and password, etc.  But a thief calls in with a phone that Apple knows is stolen and allows him to open an account.
    What is going on?

What's going on is that Apple manufactures phones.  That's it.  Just like Samsung, LG, Nokia and Motorola. None of those companies is in the policing business.  Apple doesn't "activate" the phone, the carrier does. You don't call Apple and open an account.  You call a carrier.  Carriers are the ones to block a phone from being activated on their service.  Most don't get into the policing business either.
Call you carrier and the police and report the theft.  That's all you can do.

  • HT204053 Dear Apple: Please allow us to merge Apple ID's

I know it's not possible now, but I've been needing this for years.  I set up two (or three?) Apple ID's over the years, not remembering passwords and such and it's much more complicated than I'd like.  It seems like a simple request, but one I've made for the last few years with no result.  I'm sure I'm not alone in this—it's at the top of your FAQ's about Apple ID's.  Please make it possible for people to merge their Apple ID's if they want to and save themselves a lot of confusion and headaches.  It's honestly the only reason why I don't like using iTunes and stay away from it if I can—I don't feel like I have control over what I buy and can listen to.  Thanks.

Count me as one of the many that really want this to happen.
With all the years of going through the .mac, .me, and now icloud, I've lost track of some I've used in the past. When you change career paths over a decade you often have a reason to switch to a new username.
I'd give anything (OK...maybe $100) if I could merge my accounts.

  • Apple please allow us to forward ports without rebooting airport extreme

    Dear Apple,
today i managed to finally get 7.6 firmware running correctly...
it seems that latest firmware breaks the dhcp relay between wireless and wired lan segments when running in bridge mode....
as a workaround of this issue i changed my dsl router to bridge mode and now i have airport extreme getting the public ip on it and i need to manage NAT ports on airport and not on dsl router as before...
why all modern dsl routers allow to dinamically add/edit/delete nat port forwarding without dropping connectivity and rebooting the router and airport extreme being a more expensive and more powerful unit does require resetting it for the slighest changes?
i understand some service changes might require reboots... but simple things like changing a password, or adding a dhcp lease reservation or opening/closing ports should be able to be done on the run ....
    please apple... makes us happy....

We pay for your service and we have had no notification that anything is even being worked on. If this is going to continue I think you will be losing lost of .mac customers!
Please take a look at the message above!
    Thanks

    Admit you have a problem.
Wh? What good will it do?
Besides, I (and hundreds of thousands of other users) don't have any problems at all with it.
    It's the first step.
Don't you think the first step would be to analyze the info and see exactly what the problems are?

  • I have restored my iphone and its saying time remaining is about 24 hours can you please help. can i switch the phone back on ? please help ??? :(

after there being an error in trying to update the software it said i have to restore my phone which i have done but says time remaining is about 24 hours . can you please help ? i just want to switch my phone on again .

    Hello lyndsey1430,
From what I can gather, it sounds like you're having issues restoring your device. After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help in this situation. It contains helpful advice concerning recovery mode:
If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
    Use recovery mode
You might need to use recovery mode to restore your device in these cases:
iTunes doesn't recognize your device or says it's in recovery mode.
You see the Apple logo onscreen for several minutes with no progress bar.
You see the Connect to iTunes screen.
Learn what to do if you see the progress bar onscreen for several minutes.
To put your device into recovery mode, follow these steps:
Turn off your device and leave it off.
Plug in your device's USB cable to a computer with iTunes.
Hold down the Home button on your device as you connect the USB cable. Keep holding down the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
When you see this screen, release the Home button. If you don't see this screen, try steps 1 through 3 again.
When your device is connected, iTunes will open. You'll see a message saying that iTunes has detected an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch in recovery mode.
Use iTunes to restore your device. Restoring in recovery mode will erase your device. If you previously synced with iTunes or iCloud, you might be able to restore from your backup.
    Get more help
Learn what to do if you don't see your device in iTunes for OS X, or in iTunes for Windows.
If you put your device into recovery mode by mistake, restart it. Or you can wait 15 minutes and your device will exit recovery mode by itself.
Thank you for contributing to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    BobbyD

  • Please, gave to us a chance to back for ios 6, i realy hate ios 7

IOS 6 was not perfect, but they always had the philosophy to do better in the next system, this time they changed completely the system interface and copied to other systems (Android and WindowsPhone), creating shortcuts to some functions and taking other functions, worsening the application of music, calendar, notepad, security ... and is because ir that I want the iOS 6 back.

My current work phone is a Samsung Galaxy S4 and I've had Windows phones. iOS 7 doesn't look anything like either of them. Except for some very superfical differences, mostly in the colors, it looks an awful lot like iOS 6.
I think they did a pretty brilliant job. iOS 7 has a couple of issues, but, overall, it's the best yet.
