Deatiled navigation is hanging

Hello,
We are using NW04s SP9.
The problem is that every detailed navigation we are creating for a role is hanging when we want to navigate at the folders inside it.
Any ideas why?

Hi Vineeth,
We have someting like 20 folders, each folder has 2 iViews inside it.
When we preview the iViews it is working but when we go to the detailed navigation and click on the foldrer to see it's content it shows "loading..." forever and doesn't open it's content...
The problem is happenin even with SAP detailed navigation, such as at System administration role...

  • Permissions in portal

    Hi All,
    Below is my project requirement
    Once a user logs on to the portal Lets say that he will see a role  "ROLE1"
    Once he clicks on this "ROLE1" then he will see a folder structure in the deatiled navigation
    Lets say that there are around three folders
    FOLDER1,FOLDER2,FOLDER3
    Once he expands the folders he will see two iviews(iviwe1,iveiw2)
    Once he clicks on first iview1 he will be able to view the documents which are uploaded using ivew2.
    I am able to do this perfectly
    My,problem is that who ever the user has been assinged with "ROLE1" must only be able to view the documents but he will not be given the permission to upload the documents only adminstartor must have the permission to upload the documents
    Can anyone help me out how to restrict the user from uploading the documents...
    thanks in advance

    Hi,
    You can change the permissions given to the users to access a particular portal content.
    Go to System Administration -> Permissions. Open your ivew and change the permissions accordingly.
    Regards,
    Becky.

  • EP using mozilla

    The deatailed navigation pane hangs when I use mozilla,  this happens In the portal content studio and the monitoring.  However, it works fine from IE 6.  Anyone know any tips for mozilla.
    Jeremy

    Hi Jeremy,
    Unfortunately not working detailed navigation is not the only problem plaguing SAP EP in the connection with open browsers like mozilla or firefox. It seems therefore that one of the major advantages of the portal - platform independency - is not realized by this product of SAP (i.e. ceteris paribus IE can be only installed on windowz).
    I would like to repeat your question and address it directly to SAP representatives here: when will it possible to use portal with mozilla?
    Thanks,
    ds

  • Help. When you save the file, no "OAM", check the settings necessary.

    Help. When you save the file, no "OAM", check the settings necessary.

    You presume correctly. It's only when I need to do a file-open or save. The initial window opens up but as soon as you try to start navigation, the hang occurs. I also have drives mapped on these two computers, so I wonder if that could be a possible cause...

  • RemoveMovieClip not working

    Hi there,
    I built a website for our company, but because my boss kept
    adding stuff as I was building, the navigation-function became a
    total mess. On top of that, the need has risen to make the site
    multi-lingual, and I would like to get the back-button and
    deep-linking to work properly.
    So, I decided to rewrite the navigation-function using the
    exanimo
    stateManager. The site structure basically has two levels: Six
    main sections (L1), most of which have subsections (L2). All these
    "pages" are library items that get attached to a holder MC (L0). So
    for instance, the first page is built by attaching "home_NL" to L0
    and calling it L1, and then attaching "home_welkom_NL" to L1 and
    calling it L2.
    This all works fine, until I've clicked “Voices”.
    If I click a section after that, the L0 gets faded out, but L1 is
    not removed. And since the function then tries to attach a new
    library item as L1 and will not continue until it is loaded,
    navigation simply hangs.
    Unfortunately “luister_NL”, which is loaded when
    you click “Voices”, is a fairly complex movie clip (by
    my standards, at least). It allows the visitor to listen to samples
    of our voice-talents based on language, style and gender. These can
    also be selected and “ordered” through a form.
    Something in this movie clip is preventing Flash from
    removing it from the stage, but I can’t figure out what.
    I’ve
    uploaded the
    .fla so you can check it out if you want.
    Any suggestions on what could be causing this behaviour would
    be very welcome.
    Thanks in advance!
    Yours,
    Andra

    Now this is weird. I already had that trace in my code, and
    was about to post the results here, when I noticed I was tracing
    the depth at the wrong point in my code. I traced it before the
    swap, which always gave me 0.
    Here's a part of my current code:
    var mTemp:MovieClip = _root.L0.getInstanceAtDepth(0);
    trace("mTemp = "+mTemp);
    trace("mTemp.getDepth() = "+mTemp.getDepth());
    trace("_root.L0.L1 = "+_root.L0.L1);
    trace("_root.L0.L1.getDepth() = "+_root.L0.L1.getDepth());
    _root.L0.L1.swapDepths(0);
    _root.L0.L1.removeMovieClip();
    if (mTemp != undefined) { mTemp.swapDepths(0); }
    trace("_root.L0.L1 = "+_root.L0.L1);
    trace("_root.L0.L1.getDepth() = "+_root.L0.L1.getDepth());
    When I move from, for instance, "People" to "News" i get the
    following output:
    mTemp = _level0.L0.L1
    mTemp.getDepth() = 0
    _root.L0.L1 = _level0.L0.L1
    _root.L0.L1.getDepth() = 0
    _root.L0.L1 = undefined
    _root.L0.L1.getDepth() = undefined
    But when I move from "Voices" to any other section i get this
    output:
    mTemp = _level0.L0.L1
    mTemp.getDepth() = 0
    _root.L0.L1 = _level0.L0.L1
    _root.L0.L1.getDepth() = 0
    _root.L0.L1 = _level0.L0.L1
    _root.L0.L1.getDepth() =
    -32769
    It seems as though trying to remove the luister_NL MC moves
    it to depth -32769.
    Any ideas?
    Yours,
    Andra

  • Treemenu navigation hangs when there are many subitems

    Hi,
    I am using Treemenu (http://www.treemenu.com) for left navigation. After I have added some sub-items, after some level, I am not able to add anymore sub-items. The page just hangs and doesn't show anything. I was under the impression that one can add any number of sub-itmes in a treemenu. Please help me with this.
    Ramesh

    Your best bet is to post your problem on the message board at the site, most people wouldn't like to go through such a complex third party program to correct it:
    http://www.treemenu.com/board/
    Also you might want to take a look at known bugs at:
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/jsmenu

  • HFM/Workspace Navigation Hang Ups

    Hello Experts,
    I have been facing an issue in my environment where users will intermittnelty become hung up within workspace while accessing the HFM application. A lot of times it seems like when you double click on a grid, run a consolidation, navigate between screents, HFM will hang up and the user will be forced to close out of internet explorer and reopen to temporarily resolve the issue. Has anyone else seen this issue or does anyone have any advice for how to make navigation of HFM within workspace more managable or smoother?
    Thank you for your help
    HFM/Workspace Version: 11.1.2.2
    IE: 8
    HFM Application Server Specs: 8 CPUs  24 GB of RAM
    HFM JVM Settings: 8 gb of allocated RAM
    SQL Server 2008 R2
    I have investigated at the OS and database layer and have not been able to itentify a bottleneck.

    It looks like there might be some errors but I cant understand it really, here is some of what I am seeing:

  • [4.0] Production SQL Developer hangs when attempting to expand Java in the Connection Navigator

    Folks,
    I'm running production SQL Developer on Oracle Linux 5.8 and whenever I click the Java link in the Connections Navigator with a SYS AS SYSDBA connection SQL Developer hangs.
    Oracle Enterprise Edition 11.2.0.1.0
    SQLDeveloper 4.0.0.13.80
    Oracle Linux 6
    JDK Version 1.7.0_45
    Doing the same thing with user SCOTT (no SYSDBA) works fine (although there are not any Java objects).
    Thanks,
    Rich

    This has been logged as a bug.
    The bad plan/performance has been logged as a bug. SQL Developer didn't hang for me - I was able to cancel the query using the Task Progress panel.

  • FCE 4 hanging/not responding when navigating through photos to import/open

    Hi all,
    when I select the OPEN (or IMPORT) item in the FILE menu and I navigate through or scroll the images (presented as thumbnails and to be potentially imported) in my HDD or in iphoto events, after a certain moment the spinning wheel appears and FCE hangs / does not respond at all: only solution is the forced quit. CPU seems to work at this moment but not at full throttle because of the hang. This does not happen by doing the same with Imovie...
    May you please tell me if you have a similar behavior please? I have FCE 4.0.1 and all latest updates have been installed;
    thanks
    Emanuele

    Small precision:
    the hanging / freezing occurs when navigating inside the iphoto library (under the MEDIA title of the right bar of the finder-like window of the OPEN or IMPORT option). No hanging occurs when I scroll the thumbnail images of the ALL IMAGES folder: in spite of this the scrolling may be choppy with transient spinning wheel appearance but without hang...This problem has been reported in another post too, and I would like please to have confirmation then that it is normal to have this hang with iphoto library navigation in FCE from the open / import option.
    May you please also tell me if you have a choppy thumbnail scrolling of all your images (in the ALL IMAGES folder) when trying to IMPORT / OPEN?
    Cheers and thanks

    l_strOfferNameHyperlink = oracle.apps.jtf.base.session.ServletSessionManager.getURL(l_strOfferNameHyperlink);
    Pls let us know what is the better way to handle the navigation from JTT to OA to avoid this issue.

  • Nokia 6110 Navigator 5.11 Buglist

    Nokia, after a year of no support for the Nokia 6110 Navigator despite many bugs, please readd firmware-update-support in Nokia software updater, and fix those bugs remaining in the firmware 5.11 installed by most Nokia service centers since July 2008:
    1- when alarm is set to workdays "monday-to-friday" (or whatever 5 day-period) the date on the phone doesn't change on saturday night. On sundays it still shows saturday although the time is correct, and the alarm doesn't work till the date is reset and then everything goes normal till the next sunday when the problem happens again.
    2- No matter if you use the original Nokia Sound recorder or third party software, all the recordings have a loud crack sound in the beginning.
    3-Volume +/- does not function while playing games.
    4- Dual line 32kb sim cards fail to switch to the second line and resets the phone when switched to the second line.
    5-Line 1 ringtone and Line 2 ringtone options in profiles disappear for no reason although using a dual line.
    6-Deleted numbers in Logs->Recent Calls-> missed/received/dialled logs still remain in the log list view which shows coloured arrows.
    7-Even if the sent message history is turned off, the numbers which were sent messages are still shown in the log list shown with arrows.
    8- Numbers dialed/received calls list occasionally clears if phone turned off
    9- If the phone gets connected to computer over usb cable, and used once on pc suite mode and then once in the data transfer mode, then the vibration is disabled until you reboot the phone. (Settings suggest the vibration is on, but in fact it is simply turned off)
    10- On the internet bookmarks view, (accessed through the web icon) if a bookmark is deleted or moved to a different folder they are still shown in the root until the application is closed and re-opened. And if tried to open them by mistake the phone responds "it doesn' exist".
    11- If you conect the phone to Nokia software updater by usb cable in pc sync mode, then connect it by data-transfer-mode, all your own created folders including moved icons will be lost and reset to default.
    12-It's not possible to use voice dial with voice synthesis turned on.
    13- No flash lite 3.0 support
    14- If a memo is set or synchronised from outlook the memo still shows on the screen even if the date has been passed.
    15- If we try to change the date of a past memo by changing both the start and end date to a future date the phone gives an odd error message that says: "Alarm time already passed" What alarm time? There's no alarm option or alarm time field in memos.
    16- The phone occasionally shuts down completely (turns itself off) without any warning for some users.
    17- Nokia CK 7W bluetooth carkit and other carkits from other companies (for example Funkwerk-Dabendorf Audio2000 with Bluetooth Adapter version 2) have an echo problem where the remote person hears its own voice and a terrible echo. This seems to be due to the fact, that inbuild microphone on the phone is not turned of completely.
    18- While entering a new phone number after typing the number a phone type is selected such as telephone, mobile, work mobile etc.If selected the wrong type there is no way to change tis type unless the number is deleted and re-entered which is a hassle.
    19- If there are more than one mobile numbers assigned for a contact as "mobile" type (like mentioned above) set default option does not work.
    20- The bluetooth A2DP quality has gone worse. It is skip-happy, and degrading of audio quality is very obvious.
    21- If any mp3s have embedded images in the id3 tag, which are not quite square (e.g. 194pxls by 197pxls in one of my files), the music will play, but the phone will almost totally lock up if you try to use another application, and the album art won't show at all.
    22- Notes in the organiser on the phone cannot be synchronised with the PC via Nokia PC Suite(Outlook 2003).
    23- Music Player on the phone finds "zero" audio files when connected to Nokia Suite via USB.
    24- If a call is made while connected to a bluetooth carkit (CK 7W in my case) the latest number dialed won't appear in the logs.
    25- When navigating in the standard "Nokia Navigator" Route66 application, if the display mode with all info at the bottom (the only mode that display ETA) is set the phone normally remembers this mode between sessions. When signal is lost (typically after a tunnel), the display mode is reset back to default. Please add the newest Route66 updates! As easy as that! Route66 already released 3 new official updates during this time.
    26- If an internet connection is established via the browser and closed, the internet connection stays on constantly until the battery is very hot and voltage is drained only if the e-mail update (push e-mail) is set to "ON".
    27-The streaming mode is problematic. An H.264 video encoded in 320x240 resolution could be watched full screen in the streaming mode in the previous firmware however the phone will freeze within 1 or 2 seconds after switching from the standard window size to full screen size after 4.22 if watched during streaming.
    28- Real Player(Or music player) doesn't update the playlist unless the phone is not restarted.
    29- For some of the users some videos start with the first frame and then shows a black screen for a while and then the video plays normally. (DivX Avi files?)
    30- System startup dramatically slows up if using a HCSD memory card.
    31- Sound cracks occur in high bit rate mp3's if using an HCSD memory card.
    32- The flash provides such an artificial colour tone to the picture which makes the picture looks almost blue or green in all cases.
    33- If a user decides to use an alternative navigation software he/she should be able to remap the dedicated navigator button to the executeable of the 3rd party software.
    34- Sometimes Nokia Navigator-Program is unable to get a satfix, even if satellite-signal is good enough (3 satellites and more above 70% signal-strength). You have to restat the program to get a satfix. Also new Nokia Navigator/Route66-mobile8-version would fix this problem.
    35- When you receive via bluetooth a file with an "unknown extension", there is no way to open the message that contains the attached file and, therefore, there is no way to save the file itself.
    There are certainly more bugs, those ones are the ones found by a few customers, the most obvious ones, that keep us nagging since a year now. It seems, you are not testing your phones, as bug #1 (alarm-clock) for example is obvious and was not fixed since the release of the phone.

    And I'd like to add these remaining ones from our other threads..
    36- When listening to music on the handset and a call comes through, the sound switches to Mono after you hang up and the music resumes playing. And the only way to restore stereo sound is to restart the phone.
    37-6110 keeps showing alot of devices in the "send to" bluetooth menu that was paired with and deleted long ago.
    38-Joystick press can be used for accepting commands at all areas except for messaging. When message is ready to be sent you cannot click joystick and send message. You need to select options and send and then choose select from the menu.

  • Flash (latest) causing Safari 4.0.4 to "hang" every time

    So in another thread I was told that Safari is "hanging" rather than "crashing" - I know that deep in the technical side of code there's a difference, but on the user end, they look and act the same, hence my extreme confusion and frustration. How long must one let Safari "hang" before it becomes a "crash"? If you literally can't do anything other than Force-Quit, how is that not the same thing? I was also told that given my report (the first one below), I'm running Safari in 64 bit, but according to the "Get Info" screen for Safari, I'm running in 32 bit, and Activity Window does not show the (64 bit) in the Kind tab for Safari - can someone explain that one to me also? I see where it's indicating that, but like I said, I'm not according to all the places I've been told to look. Also, as I noticed in another thread about a different issue, I do NOT have the "Open in Rosetta" box checked either. Before I posted, I forced this issue again so I could have a new report to have for comparison's sake.
    Yesterday (and for about 2-3 days now) when I tried to access sites with Flash (for the sake of someone wanting to try and duplicate the issue, we'll make it easy, mindjolt.com, a simple Flash games site) it would lock up, and I was able to kill the Flash module using Activity Window and continue on to other sites until I hit the next piece of Flash, in which case I'd have to use Activity Window again and keep going. The only problem with this "solution" is that I NEED Flash to work for websites for my volunteer job. I've tried ClickToFlash, and it only keeps it from locking up until I try to activate one of the Flash modules and then it locks up and requires me to use Activity Window to shut it down.
    Today when I try to recreate the issue I no longer have the Flash plug-in showing in the Activity Window so I can't shut it down and keep going, I have to completely Force Quit Safari and open it back up. I've tried five different times with mindjolt.com (trying to launch game), Facebook (trying to launch flash based app), azcentral.com (news site, was able to navigate through 3 pages), youtube (locked up nearly instantly), nbcolympics.com (navigated to a specific athlete's tweet page on the site)
    I've refreshed the cache, reset Safari, uninstalled/reinstalled Flash, reverted to an earlier version of Flash (9.?), completely emptied the Internet Plug-ins folder before reinstalling the newest Flash again, my Input Methods folder was empty to start with, and it's causing the same problem in Firefox. Those are the only two browsers I have, and typically I only use Safari because it runs just about everything I need it to.
    Below are three (3) reports: one (1) from yesterday (before the Flash plug-in disappeared from Activity Monitor) and two (2) from today, the first one I ran and the fifth one I ran.

    Hi
    sorry that the explanation asked for by someone else added to your frustration - one point was that your problem is different to theirs, and hence easier dealt with in its own thread.
    If activity monitor says it's 32 bit and Safari's option for 32 bit is checked - it must be in 32 bit... I only mentioned that the report posted on the other thread seemed to show otherwise - +Architecture: x86_64+
    slightly off-topic... crash reports are nicer, cuz they show more detail of what plugins/input managers etc etc might be loaded & causing trouble. Which is handy, since people often overlook one in the jumble of unfamiliar filenames & folders.
    More ot - but you mentioned it... one of the advantages of 64 bit, is that plugins are run as separate processes, hence they show in activity monitor, and when they crash, don't take the browser with them.

    Firefox is very slow to respond when opening and nearly always stops responding altogether, even refusing to react to the Task Manager "End Program" command. The "not responding" error message also comes up during navigation on line. Several attempt have to be made to get on line. A loss of stability seems to be endemic at the moment.

  • Time Machine hangs...  Takes hours to do an incremental back up

    Hello All,
    I'm having trouble with Time Machine as of late. It seems to hang and not finish a backup (I'm not talking about the initial back up, I know they take a while).
    I leave my MBP running all the time (fans are on to keep it cool, over heating not an issue) and I've noticed that after the 4th day all bets are off on a reliable backup. Usually it waits till the 2 week mark then freaks out but now it's happening more often and sooner.
    I'll refrain from expressing my opinion as the Apple people don't seem to like freedom of speech as my last post got flagged when I expressed my displeasure with Snow Leopard. I'm having a lot of problems that I didn't have before the upgrade.
    To the Apple people, THIS IS A REAL ISSUE I'M HAVING; note the opening statement explaining my problem. Please don't remove my post again unless you're going to contact me with how to fix it. This should not be considered "Feed Back" as I'm asking my fellow OSX users for help. Thank you!
    Thank you for any advice or tips on how to fix the problem.

    Your best bet is to omit opinions, especially negative ones. Mainly because they don't help us help you. And if they don't get deleted, many of us who try to help people just skip them, as the posters often are more interesting in ranting than working through a problem. And "freedom of speech" doesn't apply here -- this is not a government throwing you in jail, it's Apple saying you agreed to certain terms and conditions when you signed-up to use the forums they provide at no cost. Like it or not, those are the rules.
    That said, you can use the Time Machine Buddy to navigate back a few days in your logs. Use the small navigation arrows after the title "Messages;" the arrow in front will show or drop the message detail. If you can find the most recent backup that was a problem, copy and post the messages here.
    Do the sizes of the backups seem reasonable, considering what you've added or changed since the last one? If they seem too large, that may be part of the problem. See #D4 in the Time Machine - Troubleshooting *User Tip* at the top of this forum.
    You might also try the things in #D2 of that Tip.

  • Finder hangs when sorting in list view on external USB3 portable Seagate

    This seems to be a specific Mavericks Finder issue as I have a Mountain Lion backup that does not have this problem. Finder hangs on the Seagate when selecting the Music folder that holds all of my music files (over 300 GB) organized by iTunes in artist and album folders.
    I keep two backups, one on an external 1 TB portable USB 3 Seagate drive (5400rpm) and one on an external 2 TB portable USB 3 Toshiba (5400rpm) drive. Sorting thru the iTunes Media/Music folder in any way on my internal HD and on the Toshiba is almost instant and navigation/scrolling is fast. On the Seagate, using Column and grid view works well, even setting the column view to sort (I use Modification Date) causes no hangs and I can easily scroll and select any artist, album or song. But as soon as I select List View for the Music Folder, it starts counting the files and hangs with a spinning beach ball FOREVER. I have to relaunch the Finder and instantly click off the window as it will otherwise hang immediately.
    This only happens on the external Seagate, I can easily navigate and scroll the Music folders - which are identical - on my main and external Toshiba drive.
    Here's what I did to troubleshoot this issue:
    Deleted Finder pref. files (com.apple.finder.plist including lock file inside my Library folder, there were 4 who had some random numbers at the end.
    Set all and specific folder views and list views to not sort
    Ran Disk Utility from both internal and Rescue partition (no errors found)
    Ran Onyx scripts to clean up and do maintenance (no issues popped up)
    Booted up in Safe Mode and deleted pref files (as suggested on another forum)
    Reset PRAM
    Confirmed this issue with other Mavericks boot drives and one Mountain Lion full backup.
    I use Soundflower (mentioned in another post), Caffeine, and MenuMeters
    Any ideas? Any other preference files to delete?

    Thanks so much for getting back to me so quickly!
    FYI, it seems specifically to happen when I expand a lot of folders in List View, and especially when I have multiple finder tabs/windows open—but that could just be subjective impression. There are no crash reports or anything in Console—I don't know of any other way to monitor the process.
    I deleted the finder plist. I also uninstalled and reinstalled XtraFinder—which I’m quite sure wasn’t the problem, since it happened regardless of whether it was installed. In fact, if anything, it seems to crash less when Xtrafinder is active. I did have an additional (second) finder plist file which I deleted—I believe it was left over from TotalFinder—but that didn’t seem to fix it, although it also seems to be happening less frequently.
    It’s definitely some sort of bug, and really only bothers me when trying to sort by Date—which can be done other ways, of course.
    Will definitely keep you up to date if it changes, and thanks kindly again for your response.
