Debugger won't halt on Breakpoint in any project

In my Cs6 Flash (I still use it because it supports TFL) the debugging function suddenly stopped working. Debugging mode will not be shown on breakpoints. Throwing an Error brings it up but breakpoints do nothing. I compared this in cc and there the breakpoints did still work.
How could I find a solution to this?
I saw another thread here with this question marked as answered but the answers didn't work for me.
One thing I did before this stopped working tried to open a fla from recent files that I moved to another folder. Don't know is this has anything to do with it.

And next day it doesn't halt on my breakpoints anymore.... very strange.
Edit:
Found out breakpoint does work when I add it while the swf is already running.

  • Flash cs6 debugger won't stop on breakpoints - productivity killer bug

    hey all
help me before i punch the screen out of frustration!!!
Flash cs6 says "Breakpoint not set; No executable code at..." and won't stop at the breakpoint although i checked everything (believe me i did). I also googled for answers.
This is a bug since it comes and goes randomly (mostly comes, rarly goes).
The actionscript side on my project is very large - so you may not be able to reproduce this yourself. (i suspect this is something to do with a lot of actionscript, memory stuff - like code completion problems).
Is there anyway to clear some kind of FLA metadata that might hold the debugging info?
    thank you!!!

Hi Amy, thanks for showing concern. No, there were no such scenario with my SWF since I had created a new AIR type of project with Flash CS6 installed. I don't know how really we can explain this problem (debugging) with a newly installed software; but simply the debugger never worked with the installation, so I just removed and moved to MacOS where it was working at least.
I am not sure even if the Flash CS has some dependencies - if I consider its the issue with my PC (installation).

  • Debugger not halted on breakpoints

    Hi,
I'm having a problem with the latest jdev 9.0.5.2. I'm trying to debug a struts-action on the embedded oc4j. My program works fine, but the execution is never halted.
I checked already the properties of the breakpoints, altered
the most preferences, etc. but the progran doesn't stop.
What am I doing wrong? Can anyone help me please?
    thanks

I'm not too familiar with struts-actions, but I know about the debugger. Here are some things that could cause such a problem:
    1. Make sure you are debugging and not just running.
    2. Make sure you set the breakpont in code that will definitely be executed.
    3. If you are using 3rd party jars or classes and you want to set a breakpoints in those classes, make sure that the classes have not been obfuscated or stripped. Some people/companies remove the source file and line number table attributes from classes before releasing them. The debugger's classes window will show obfuscated/stripped classes with a red circle and slash around the icon. The debugger can not stop at breakpoints or step in those classes.
    4. Make sure that your own classes are not obfuscated.

  • Jdeveloper 10.1.2.1 debugger won't start  **** URGENT ****

I posted this in an older thread at the end:
    Re: jdev 10 (9.0.5.2) debugger won't start
I can't run the debugger using the runner: jvm option of ojvm, hotspot, or client, and can't debug a simple standalone java class w/o an error window within the same project:
When I try to debug a standalone class (HelloWorld.java)
    Status line showed connection problem.
    got errors:
(can't gab the command line since JDEveloper is locked up - I have an hourglass and the only thing I can do is minimize, maximize, or close it)
    c:\jdev10121\jdk\bin\]javaw.exe -ojvm -XXdebug,quiet,port2651 -classpath C:\Projects\jdev10121\MSI\MSI\
    Debugger connected to local process.
Debugger connection to debugee process has been lost.
    Debugger disconnected from local process.
    Process exited.
Debugger unable to connect to local processIf I try to debug using client or hotspot, the application will start, but it does not recognize any of the breakpoints at all, so the debugger never kicks in. It does on a windows xp workstation running the same version of jdeveloper. Also, I can't recompile classes and replace on the fly.
I am able to run the web application regular (w/o debug) using ojvm.
My J2EE settings are 1.4.2_06. This is what resides in c:\jdev10121\jdk\bin. That same path is in my system path. The java_home env var is set to: c:\jdev10121\jdk.
I run the JDEV.exe rather than JDEVw.exe and nothing appears in the console window.
I can't recall anything about the machine that caused this to stop working as it was working less than 1 week ago. The machine is a Windows 2000 Dell workstation. I thought the problem might be caused by adding the Oracle XML Parser to the project, but I removed that library and commented out the code.
The only way the debugger works is to do REMOTE DEBUGGING (I'm connecting to my embedded oc4j via localhost though):
    1. Start the application using hotspot in debug mode. Note the port that is sent to oc4j.
    2. Create another project for remote debugging, and set the tools->project properties->remote debugging on for that project. right click and select remote debug, and type in the port from the other window. Once connected, I can set breakpoints and examine code, etc.
This is really troubling as putting system.debug messages for debugging is like going back to the early days of cobol on the vax for me -- no wait, the debugger under motif in 1994 worked... well, maybe before cobol then....
Anyway, please let me know if there's a solution to this.
    Thanks,
    Eric

Debugger unable to connect to local process
I tried reinstalling JDeveloper but the debug function still does not work.
I just found this to be funny:
No search results for "debugger AND ojvm AND "won't start"". You should try a
    less restrictive search.
Did you mean: debugger AND ovum AND "won't start"  Again, thanks for reading this? (Am I talking to myself?)

  • Debugger not stopping at the breakpoint

    Hello all,
I am running transaction F110(Automatic Payment Transactions). I follow the below process for Check Payments.
Step - 1 : Put Run date and Identification.
    Step - 2 : Set Parameters
Step - 3 : Set fields in the Additional Log Tab
Step - 4 : Choose a Program variant for program RFFOUS_C in Printout/Data medium Tab.
Now I have put a break point in the program RFFOUS_C. But when I run the Payment it does not stop at the breakpoint in the program RFFOUS_C.
This program in turn calls a sap script which prints a check. I also tried activating the debugger for sap script.
I dont know how to stop at the program. It goes to the spool and I can see the output in the spool request for the form i have created, but it does not stop at the breakpoint.
    Any ideas or suggestions ?
    Regards,
    Salil

Run F110 all the way to where you create the payment run.  When doing the payment run, do not check "Print Immediatly".
After the run is complete, go to SE38 and run RFFOUS_C with your variant.  You will have to enter the Run Date and Payment ID on the RFFOUS_C selection screen.  Execute this program and you will hit your breakpoint.

  • WINCE 7 - Debug application from SDK - debugger won't kick in

    Hi,
Here is a scenario that doesn't work anymore since a few weeks and I don't know why. Maybe you can help!
Using VS2008 and a SDK from my WINCE 7 osdesign, I create an application based on the SDK and I try to deploy it and remote debug it. It was working great (using cmaccept and conmanclient2 on the device). But since a while, VS2008 is able to deploy but the
debugger won't start. After a while, I get the following message "".
I installed VS2008 and the OSdesign SDK on another machine but same result.
Service pack 1 is installed, patch for Embedded compact 7 also installed, firewall on the device is turned off.
I can't find the reason why it is not working anymore. Any ideas?
Which SYSGEN are required to have that working? Maybe the corporate firewall is blocking traffic? How do I verify that? Can't find the way it works under the hood validate where exactly it fails.
    Thanks for your help!
    David

I found it, but can't explain it.
Here is a part of the e-mail I sent to the support guys at Microsoft
We define SYSGEN_SMART_DEVICES to have the possibility to create an SDK. Then, SYSGEN_STANDARDSHELL is included because it is required by SYSGEN_SMART_DEVICES. But
we don’t want explorer.exe to start, so we removed it from the [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\init] key, leaving “Launch50”=”” instead of
"Launch50"="explorer.exe". This way, explorer.exe is not starting at system startup but it
appears remote debugging is not working when we do this. When I replace explorer.exe in the startup sequence, the remote debugging is working.
I don't understand the real utility of SYSGEN_SMART_DEVICES because when I remove it, I can still create SDKs. I thought it was necessary to create an SDK. Is it the case?
    Thanks
    David

  • Flash debugger doesn't stop on breakpoints

I don't know why but i've got fla files that I can't debug.
I'm able to launch debugger and the swf file is correctly run when I do it, but if for instance I add a trace in my code and add a breakpoint on it, it will appear in the output but the debugger doesn't stop on the breakpoint.
It's a pretty big project that uses a quite numbers of external swc libraries, home produced for the most, and I can't figure where could this bug come from. All the more if I create a simple fla file with a simple document class attached to it the debugger works perfectly.
So if anyone already encountered the problem or got an idea over any reason that could make the debugger to not stop on breakpoint, I'd appreciate.

I'm back but I have still not found the cause of the problem.
I answered if the fact I work on a server could be the cause, but moving my files to local didn't resolve the problem.
I also have the problem sometimes even without using swc libraries, just with as3 source files.
I even tried to add the breakpoints manually in the Flash's xml debug file but successless.
However, I found a little trick that can be helpful. When the debugger bugs like that, instead of adding breakpoints, I throw Errors, and then the debugger stop on the line where the error is thrown, giving you access to the content of all the variables at that point. But you still cannot use step by step.

  • My iPhone 5 won't discover my iPad or any other devices via Bluetooth. Has anyone else experienced this?

My iPhone 5 won't discover my iPad or any other devices via Bluetooth. Has anyone else experienced this?

You haven't said which generation iPad you have, but this article might help you regardless:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3647
I imagine Keynote Remote uses Audio/Video Remote Control Profile which should be available on both your iPhone and iPad.
I think you're saying that since you got the new iPhone 5, these two things occur:
    1.  Your iPhone cannot discover your iPad
    2.  Your iPad cannot discover your iPhone.
If that's true, when you turn on Bluetooth on each of the devices, you might see old devices listed that are no longer used.  If you do, I suggest clicking the white arrow to the right of such devices and clicking "Forget this device".

  • Imovie won't open any projects after upgrading to yosemite

Can anyone help? I upgraded to yosemite and imovie 10.0.6 and now imovie won't open. IPhoto and Garageband open just fine. After clicking Imovie, it appears in the menu bar but all options from the drop down menus are grayed out. I cannot open any projects and there is no imovie window opening. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the program twice with the same result. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Apple introduced a new document architecture with Pages v5, that is not backwards compatible with Pages '09. With Pages v5.5.2 (Yosemite) installed, a simple double-click on a Pages '09 document will default open it in Pages v5. Once you save, or Pages autosaves this document, it is no longer directly compatible with Pages '09, without first exporting it to Pages '09 format. Pages v5 documents do not contain index.xml files, and Pages '09 documents do.

    Hello goreckim,
Thanks for the question, and welcome to Apple Support Communities.
I understand you are having some issues with iTunes on your Mac Pro. You may want to isolate the issue further by testing to see if it persists in a new user account:

Assuming you have these accounts set up in Mail, open preferences and under Accounts tab, edit the SMTP outgoing server list. Do you have a .mac address in the list? If so, delete it.
    Are you using iCloud?
For the troubled account, select the correct SMTP server for that account in the box and check the box to use only that server with that account.

Sync your iPhone to iTunes to copy the iTunes purchases to the computer.
    Or iTunes prefs > Store.
Tick Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases then click the Cloud icon after the song names to download them.
