Debuging Javascript code in LC is not smooth. Is there a better way?

I'm new to LC and I am finding the debugging process very cumbersome. I save my form, open it in Acrobat and enable debugging window there. I know there is a way to the have debugging window in PDF preview but that would not make much of difference. I actually prefer to have it in Acrobat because when it crashes I wouldn't loose my LC.
Is this the best way of debuging Javascript?
It would be nice to have access to variable dump. I am creating temproary text fields and pop up messages.

I cant believe Adobe releases such a large project like LiveCycle with no "officially supported" debuger.

Timeline not working - is there a better way?

First, what I'm trying to accomplish:
I have a div layer the explains how to navigate the ensuing
page.
I want this to display for about 25 seconds and then hide
while the other two divs on the page become visible.
I set up a timeline with three layers and made it
automatically play back.
I made the first layer visible for 25 seconds and then made
it hidden.
The other two divs started hidden and I made them visible
after 25 seconds.
It worked for a while but I went back to fine tune it but the
timeline appeared to be blank. I tried to set it up again but now
things are all screwed up.
Is there a better way to show and hide divs for specific
amounts of time?
Are there tricks to using timelines that I'm missing?

This doesn't really answer your question - but your post
raises some
other questions. If you have to explain to users how to
navigate your
site, isn't that a red flag that there are other more serious
issues?
Like making the site usable? If you still want to display
those DIVs,
not all people read at the same speed. After 25 or whatever
seconds some
people will be bored having to stare at that so long while
others will
not have had enough time to read it. Best to let the user
decide when to
close the DIV. The last thing to note is the Timeline is
pretty awful.
So bad in fact that it is being removed from Dreamweaver CS4.
You might
consider using Flash for "Timeline animations" instead.

I can't debug javascript code in JDeveloper 11

I'm trying to debug a javascript code in JDeveloper 11. I created a simple html page with a simple javascrit. The page and the call to javascript are ok. When I start the debug I receive some messages,please see below. I can see through window task manager that firefox is started, but it doesn't appear and therefore it is impossible to debug, The messages I receive in JDeveloper console are:

It was a bug that got fixed recently. Please download the latest version and try. If you are still able to reproduce please let me know the build (Help -->> About).
Another workaround
unselect "Stop on Exception" it can be found from.
Project Properties >> Run/Debug/Profile >> Select JavaScript run configurations >> Edit >> select JavaScript >> unselect "Stop on Exception"

We set up Airprint to our Xerox machine but we have codes set up so each department has to enter their code in before they print. Airprint will not work because we have the codes. Does any one know if there is a way to override this?

Our Xerox rep helped us set up Airprint to our copier machine. We have department codes set up on our copier so when any one goes to copy or print something they need to punch their code in. Airprint will not work because we have those codes (something prints out to the copier saying error due to accounting codes being set up). if you want a local test/development setup of Oracle why don't you just install Oracle 11gR2 XE (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/products/express-edition/downloads/index.html) ?
If you install this you get a database, APEX (4.1), client etc all in one install, this includes a webserver (EPG) on port 8080 without having to configure anything. It's a simple next-next-next installation without much configuration.
If you would like to seperate database and software you can always do this later when you understand the concepts of database/control files etc.
If you would like to upgrade to APEX 4.2 you can download this afterwards and easily install this by running two scripts in SQL*Plus ( apexins.sql and apxldimg.sql ), just check the apex 4.2 installtion guid section EPG for this.

b.t.w. If you're running windows 7 - 64 bits just use the 32 bits XE for windows, might get some warnings but you should be able to install and run, good enough for test/dev

Does Firefox have developer tools for debugging javascript code?

I am learning to write javascript in web pages. I have written some code that does not work as expected. I would like to set break points and check variables as the code executes. Are there add-ons or built-in tools that provide this functionality in Firefox? Thanks for your help.

It is not so much a matter of ODT supporting object types as it is whether ODP.NET does since ODP.NET is the underlying data access layer for ODT. Unfortunately ODP.NET does not support object types.
Possibly leading to some confusion about this is that the "PL/SQL User's Guide and Reference" is included in the ODT documentation that integrates into Visual Studio .NET combined help collection. Chapter 5 in the User's Guide is about "Using PL/SQL Collections and Records". However, PL/SQL Associative Arrays (which are described in this chapter along with VARRAYs and nested tables) are the only supported collection you can use at this time.

i am changing the standard masthead of portal with the following java script. it comes for the first time, there is an auto refresh in the code. it refreshes once and then only the javascript is visible . All other parts of masthead goes off. What is wrong with this code

Playing music the screen freezes and if i want to make changes it will not let me.I go to restore factory settings and afterwards i am able to listen,view album covers,and change the type of music i want.Is there a better way to do this? Thx

When playing music on my ipad the screen freezes and i am not able to view album covers or make any changes i am only able to hear what i selected.
This is the third time it has happened since i updated to the new IOS 5.1. It never happened before.
If i go to Summary and restore the ipad to the factory settings then i'm able to run it as normal.
Is this a glitch in the new software,or a problem with my ipad?

I'm finding Multicam, combined with Compound Clips to be extrememly efficient.
I started with 2 different video clips, along with 2 different audio clips.
Layed out both clips side by side (visually, they are on top of each other on the timeline),and made that a single compound clip.
Then I laid out both audio clips on top of each other on the timeline and made those a compound clip.
So now I have
2 original individual Video shots
1 compound video shot of the 2 above side by side.
2 original audio tracks
1 compound audio track
Next I made a multicam track, and added to it all 3 video shots (2 original + 1 compound) And I added the compound audio track. I set that audio track to be "the" track.
It's just a little bit of setup, but really not that bad, and the ability to use the multicam feature to switch between shots, while keeping everything in sync is fantastic!

Boris Crawl/ Roll Titles not smooth - Help anyone?

Does any of you FCP pros out there know how to get the roll or crawl titles to come out smooth?
I'm using the Boris Crawl in FCP 5.04 and I checked the deflicker option (not sure if that made matters better or worse... ?). The roll titles look fine on the computer monitor, but they look bad in the DVD version on my TV monitor. (at the moment I don't have a camera or another way of connecting the monitor directly to the computer). The crawl titles look bad in both places... a bit shaky and flickering, making it hard to read them.
Is there a better way? or is this the best FCP can put out?

I've been generally unhappy with credit scrolls in FCP over the years, so what I do when I have to create credit scrolls is make a 640x3000 JPG file in Photoshop and type my credits in there. Then I just use the motion controls in FCP to make it appear as if this image scrolls from -3000 through +3000. I never get any sort of pixelation or flicker, and I could swear it scrolls a little smoother than the scroll generator in Boris, LiveType or FCP. Why does my javascript code work fine in all other browsers, but not Safari

Previously, I have asked how Safari handles javascript trying to resolve a problem with a slide menu, (http://www.designoutput.com/testslide.html) being directed to validator. I have corrected as many things as possible and still have code work in other browsers. Why will my code work in all other browsers (IE 5.2, Firfox, Netscape, and Opera) and not Safari. It appears that Apple would address some of the problems that people are listing. Possibly, my problem is not with Safari, but my code, if so why does it work in all other browsers. Having more knowledge of how Safari accepts code or handles code differently than other browsers would be helpful. It would be nice if I could debug my code in Safari step by step to know where the problem is at. I'm just frustrated with Safari after working on my problem for over a month. Would be very greatful to anyone that could just being to get my code to appear in Safari (only a blank page in Safari, menu appears in all other browsers)

you seem to have deleted even more end tags. elements (<a>, <div>, <td>, etc.) need to be closed (</a>, </div>, </td>, etc.) to structure the code properly.
incorrect:

check out w3schools for html and javascript help.
the ilayer tag should only be in your NS (i.e. not NS6) code, but it too needs to be closed.
i don't use IE, but with these fixes i've gotten your page to display fine in safari, firefox and opera.

I need HELP...!
I have a problem my board did not post , did not start and i have the DEBUG LED CODE # 67 displayed.
There is my build

When I put the power on, the power supply activated fans and drives spin, all the LEDs on the motherboard light up but nothing appears on the screen.
No video signal at all and the computer stop and restrart every 15 seconds. When these reset occurs there is no beep on the speaker , nothing at all, no flashing screen either, nothing.
The DEBUG LED display a sequence of flashing numbers 19 - 60 - 19- 60 - 67 and stop showing still the number # 67 for about ten seconds and then he reset again.
I carefully followed the instruction manual for the installation, I installed the memory modules in slots 1 3 5 7, i put my video card in slot PCI-E2. all the power wire are connected correctly 1 x 24 pins ATX, 2 x 8 pins ATX, 1 X 6 pins , all the wire from the front panel are correctly connected to the m-connector in JFP1 & 2.
Did i forget something, I don’t know what the debug led code # 67 exactly mean and what i have to do to fix-it

I followed some advice to remove the memory modules and this is actually caused by the use of memory but you will see I still have a curious bug.
I referred to the instructions manual to the letter for the choice of DIMM SLOT to put the memory module in single, double, triple and quad channels.
If I install 1 memory module in the DIMM SLOT 1 to operate in single channel, everything is normal and the motherboard POST normally and show the SETUP SCREEN.
If I install 2 memory modules in DIMM SLOT 1 & 3 to run in dual channel, everything is normal and the motherboard POST normally and show the SETUP SCREEN.
If I install three memory modules in DIMM SLOT 1 - 3 - 5 to run in triple channel, everything is normal and the motherboard POST normally and show the SETUP SCREEN.
As soon as I install four DIMMs modules mémoiredans SLOT 1 - 3 - 5 - 7 to run in quad channel, the motherboard freezes and does NOT POST and show code 67 on the debug led and has reset itself every 20 seconds.
I tried all my RAM modules alternately in both single channel and everything works normally.
I did the same thing in rotation for both dual and triple channel and everything is still normal with all fourth memory modules individually.
As soon as I put a fourth memory module it freezes and displays the code 67 or L9 dependent side as you look.
So my bug is my motherboard MSI Big Bang Xpower II do not want to work in quad channel.
Do you have any idea where I should look for, is a setting in the BIOS , I have flashed the bios to the latest version V1.5
I included the screenshot of the BIOS to see if you can notice something wrong.
