Default Access type is Open!

The default Access type when uploading a file is "Open",
which means anyone can access the file if they have the URL (or
guess it). Surely this should be "Restricted" until you decide to
open the file?
Or at the very least, an option in the preferences to allow
you the choice for the default?

Hi ,
Select that entire cell in the RTF template --->rightclick -->Borders and Shading --> Shading..
there you select the color you want...that will be applied to the excel tempalte output also
i checked its working....
Thanks.

  • Will EC support setting default file type and Open With from file menu?

The default file types I can live without, but at least allow for Open With on right click from Windows Explorer.
I currently have EC set in the Open With programs list, but EC does not comply for any files I opt to open it with (.css, .php, .html etc).
EC open but not the file I choose.
Also, even though the above use case is not ideal when if I do attempt an Open With when EC is already open, a new application session starts instead of attempting to open in the currently active app frame. It would be ideal to allow for single app frame, multiple files when Open With is employed.
    Darrell

    Hey Darrell,
Thanks for the feedback. How Edge Code treats files is definitely something we know isn't ideal and it's something we're looking at fixing soon. There's currently a story on the Brackets backlog that adresses the Open With issue - https://trello.com/c/GhF1Bgf9
And it based on howit ranks in that priority it looks like we could potentially take that into Edge Code over the next couple of months.
This is definitely a feature that we think is important before we consider ourselves 1.0 so it's high priority.

  • Content type for OPEN WITH dialogbox

+     // set the http content type to "APPLICATION/OCTET-STREAM+

                        String disHeader = "Attachment;Filename=\""+fileNameStr+"\"";
                        response.setHeader("Content-Disposition", disHeader);
when I am using above code to open the files from the database, and filename stored with the extension then open dialog box is gets opened and and click on open will open the document/ file in respective/default software installed.
I want open with dialog box to select the software by which the file should be opened, for that when I remove the extension from the filename, its taking html as a default content type and opening in the browser.
How to do it .. ?

you are correct but its client requirement that when he click on the the filname he want to look open/save dialog box and when he clicks on the open , OPEN WITH DIALOG should appear where he can choose the program/software to open the file.

  • How can I change the default "file type" in the open file dialog when using Firefox on certain web pages?

I work for a bankruptcy attorney. We use the Court's file upload to file our documents. When I am on the Court's site and I have to pick a file to upload, the "open file" dialog box pops up. In Firefox, the default "file type" is always "image" files. I need it to be "all files". How can I change this setting?

    Two observations.
First — "Tools-> ...." is specific to Acrobat X and XI. It did not exist prior to Acrobat X.
Second — Acrobat 9 Pro / Standard (nor earlier release) does not support viewing a PDF page containing a scanned image and performing a right-click  ... Save Image As.
The context menu provided by Acrobat 9 Pro with a right-click on a scanned image is:
The context menu, from a right-click with the TouchUp Object tool selected, for Acrobat 9 Pro is:
So, to paraphrase what Paul Harvey used to say ... What's the rest of the story?

  • I want to change the default file type in the Open File dialog - e.g. from Word to All Files

I want to change the default file type in the Open File dialog - most recently specifically in Adobe Acrobat, from Adobe Files to All Files, so I don't have to do it again and again manually.  Is this possible?  Is it an OS setting or an app-specific setting?

The Apps set the default to the file type it can open, sort of. However, there normally isn't a type specified. All document types that the app can handle will be offered.
Adobe, and Microsoft, tend to roll their own dialogs, so they may not be standard. I don't have Acrobat, so I can't verify that. If Adobe is puting a file type selector in their open file dialogs, it would be up to them to store the preferences.
EDIT: I checked Reader, and i see what you mean. Not terribly useful.

  • Can one set "Navigation Pane Buttons" Left Sidebar to 'Default Hidden' and 'Not Open' upon opening Any .pdf document?

Can one set "Navigation Pane Buttons" Left Sidebar to 'Default Hidden' and 'Not Open' upon opening Any .pdf document?

Photoshop has to have full administrator rights to have read/write access.
This means you need to run Photoshop CS5.1 in an Administrator account and set it up to "Run as Administrator."
    1. Close Photoshop if it's open.
    2. Right click on your Photoshop CS5.1 launch icon then select "Run as Administrator" from the context menu. (You will have to enter Admin Password if UAC is enabled to change this setting.)
    3. Launch Photoshop CS5.
    4. See if you create and save a document.
Even if you are in an Administrator account you have to do this as Vista's Admin account isn't really the Super Admin as it is in XP so you have to elevate the rights by selecting "Run as Administrator". This setting is sticky so you should only have to do this once. I am not sure why CS3 is suddenly acting as if it does't have Admin rights unless you are running it in a new account that isn't an administrator or maybe uninstalled (cleanScript?) then reinstalled.
If can't create or save a document, check that the account that Photoshop is in is an Administrator account.
To check if you are in an Administrator account...
    1. Type user account in your Vista or Windows7 start search bar. (Start search bar is at the bottom of the panel that opens when you click the start Windows start globe located on the far left hand side of your Windows task bar.)
    2.  Click on "User Accounts" which should show up at the top of the list. This will open the dialog to User Accounts where you can "Change Your Account Type". If UAC (User Account Control) is turned on, you will need to enter the Admin password to change this setting.

  • When I opt to "download this as a file" from my email account, Firefox defaults to notepad to open the file. How can I change the default to MS Word?

    Question
When I opt to "download this as a file" from my email account, Firefox defaults to notepad to open the file. How can I change the default to MS Word?

Is FF downloading the file as a .txt file? If so, go to "Folder Options" in the windows control panel. Click on the "File Types" tab. Scroll down until you reach the TXT file extension. Look to see what that extension opens with (lower part of panel). It probably shows notepad. Click on the <Change> button. Scroll down until you find "Microsoft Word." Select it and click the <OK> button. That should show the TXT extension is now associated with Microsoft Word. Click the <Close> button at the bottom of the panel.
If FF is downloading the file as any other type, use the same process as above except look for the corresponding extension instead. If the extension is not listed click on the <New> button and create an association using the extension in the file name and then associate it with MS Word.

  • CS4 Set default file type when placing file

The File->Place dialog box has a default file type of 'Importable files.'  Is it possible to set the default to All files (or anything else)?  Making the change manually does not seem to stick.  I have the same general question regarding File->Open.  A search of the forums returned one hit (unanswered) in the Dreamweaver forum.
    Thank you.
    Dick Conrad

    Peter:
Good question.  One of our editors made this request, and I believe that he works with files that lack extensions.  But controlling the default would also let us go in the other direction: quickly see only .rtf or .txt files, for example.
Any trick would be impractical if it lived in InDesign Defaults.  All ID users get the same copy, and no two editors would want the same filter.
    Thanks for your response.

  • How to default payment type to invoice in istore billing page

We are using B2B user scenario in iStore and we have a requirement to default payment type to invoice in billing page of iStore and user can change it to credit card if required.

    Hi,
This is controlled in the ibeCPmdPmtOptions.jsp
selected_pmt_opt  IN   value in order to specify which radio button to have selected
    |                          Possible values: "new_purchase_order", "invoice",
    |                                           "new_credit_card", "existing_credit_card", "fax_cc", "readonly_cc"
However, the current design/behavior will default to credit card once the user has one setup -
If the iStore user has a default credit card, then the default credit card is defaulted into the cart as the payment option when the user adds the first item to a new cart.  If credit card is not enabled by the merchant as a payment type, then Invoice, Cash and Check (in this order) will be chosen, depending on which payment types have been enabled by the merchant.
If the user does not have a default credit card in his profile and creates a new credit card, the new credit card is used in the checkout process and becomes the default credit card; this card then will be defaulted the next time.
See:  Oracle iStore Implementation and Administration Guide
Section for "Defaulting for Billing Data"
We have the following Enhancement Request (ER) open to have no defaulted payment making the iStore user choose -
ER / Bug 15998841 - ISTORE TO HAVE NO DEFAULTED PAYMENT METHOD AND USER MUST CHOOSE

  • Creating Historical based Security Access Type

I am trying to create a Security Access Type for PPLJOB that will look at the Reg_Region of an employee and if the historical rows of JOB contain the reg_region, use the employee in a Data Permission for Security. I want to know if anyone has tried this before and how the SQLID for Where needed to be coded. I created a SQLID with the following statement which didn't pull any employees:
    PA.EMPLID = JOB.EMPLID AND PA.EMPL_RCD = JOB.EMPL_RCD AND JOB.EFFDT = (SELECT MAX(EFFDT) FROM PS_JOB JOB2 WHERE JOB.EMPLID = JOB2.EMPLID AND JOB.EMPL_RCD = JOB2.EMPL_RCD AND JOB2.EFFDT <= %CurrentDateIn) AND JOB.EFFSEQ = (SELECT MAX(EFFSEQ) FROM PS_JOB JOB3 WHERE JOB.EMPLID = JOB3.EMPLID AND JOB.EMPL_RCD = JOB3.EMPL_RCD AND JOB.EFFDT = JOB3.EFFDT) AND JR.EMPLID = JOB.EMPLID AND JR.EMPL_RCD = JOB.EMPL_RCD AND JR.EFFDT = JOB.EFFDT AND JR.EFFSEQ = JOB.EFFSEQ AND JOB.REG_REGION <> %Bind(SCRTY_KEY1) AND EXISTS (SELECT 'X' FROM PS_JOB JOB4 WHERE JOB.EMPLID = JOB4.EMPLID AND JOB.EMPL_RCD = JOB4.EMPL_RCD AND JOB4.EFFDT < JOB.EFFDT AND JOB4.REG_REGION = %Bind(SCRTY_KEY1))

Thank you for the feedback Carl. Again, I am new to this, so please be patient with me. I am not sure what you mean about adding the parameter to the record selection formula. I have drug the parameter field into the report so that it will prompt for parameters before running, but I do not think that is what you are talking about. Please advise.
To your question about the Submit Date field in the report, when I open up the report and I point at the field for Submit Date the popup shows HPD_Help_Desk.Submit_Date (DateTime). That being the case, I think the answer to your question is that the data type of the data being returned is DateTime. Thanks again for the assistance.

  • Required default Output type in billing types.

    Hi all,
While doing the Billing, we have to manually add the Output
Type. We need the default output type to populate while issuing output. We have already maintain output procedure, condition record for the key combination, Checked assignment of output type & output determination procedure in Billing Type configuration, Checked output type configuration settings. Inspite of this we are not able to get default output type.  Pl advise us as to solve this problem .
One more question, is output type default setting can be customised to the specific user i.e. If  "X"  user logins then only give default output otherwise don't ??
    Regards,
    Srini

    Hi
Have you created your own Z condition type or using the standard RD00.
If it was a Z output type, copy from RD00. Similarly for the access sequence as well, copy from the standard.
Chek for the access sequence assignment to the condition type in V/40.
Assign output type to the partner functions - V/31.
Check for the procedure in V/42.
Assign your procedure in V/25 for the billing type.
In VOFA check whether the procedure and condition type has updated.
    Maintain condition records in VV31.

  • F-44 ...change default doc type

    Good afternoon Experts,
I'm trying to accomodate a request by users to have the default doc type on F-44 tcode changed.  I tried first to go to OBU1, but F-44 isn't listed here and I cannot add an entry.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Matt

The easiest way I've found is: go to IMG -> Financial Accounting -> Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable -> Business Transactions -> Open Item clearing -> Define Posting Key for Clearing Items
Then double click on clearing transaction UMBUCHNG and change the document type A/P to whichever you want. That way next time you use F-44 it will post with the doc type you entered. Same works for F-32 by changing the A/R Document type and for F-02 at G/L Document type field.

  • Default License Type in SU01

    Hi experts,
We have recently had a change in our licensing agreement such that almost all of our users (approximately 99%) will be assigned to one license type going forward.  With respect to creating new users with this license type, is there any way to default the license type in SU01, so we don't have to fill out this field every time (since all users will now be created with the same type)?
    Thanks,
    HC

Thanks.  I had seen that and read it several times.  I reread it again.  It's still not what I'm after.  It looks to be a work-around to not having USMM access and was not actually implemented.  I have the needed USMM access.
    Let me phrase my issue...
On Production, I start USMM.  In the lower half of the screen, I slect the "Price lists" tab.  Only the "SW Component Price List" is checked.  The "Default User Type" shows "Operational."
I want it to be "SAP Business Warehouse User."  Thus when new users are created through SU01 the new user creation process will not have to include changing the license type from "Operational" to "SAP Business Warehouse User."
Ultimately I just after having each new user created as an "SAP Business Warehouse User" when nothing is done through the SU01 license tab.
