Default locale support for texts datasources

Hi,
I faced with problem - does BW support default locales ?
I have some texts datasources which contain some list of entries for default locale. The question is - what value of LANGU field I should setup for these entries in order to BW recognize them as for default locales ?

well I am not sure about your requirement, but it sounds like you want to add a default value to langu in case the source system doesn't deliver it.
If this is the case, create a update routine in your transfer rules for 0langu. In the routine add the following coding:
if tran_structure-spras is initial. "no language specified
usually the R/3-field is called spras
result = sy-langu. "or a literal like 'EN' ...
else.
pass the given language to the result of the routine.
result = tran_structure-spras.
endif.
That's it.
In case your datasource doesn't even deliver a field for the language, you can just set a constant value to 0langu in your transfer rules.

My InfoPath 2010 text field borders are defaulting to white for some reason (which basically means invisible on a white form). Do y'all know if there's a way to set this somewhere? Drop-downs (for example) are still showing up as the light-grey.

Default font size for Text screen in customer document

We use the text function to enter additional customer data for customer invoice correspondence. The data is pasted from a Word document onto an existing invoice document using menu Extras - Texts - select Correspondence then paste.
Once pasted the tab funstion is used to line up the data.
The default font within the 'Text' screen is different from the default font used in the correspondence. This causes a misalighnment of the text when printing the invoice.
How do I change the default font size in the 'Text' screen. This is probably more of a techie than functional uestion. The SAP screen is SAPLSTXX (via either FB03 or FBl5N)

0langu IOBJ for text datasources

Hello,
I have created a text datasource with language as a selection criteria. I have then replicated it to BW. When i now create an infopackage, it does not show me the 0langu infoobject in the selection criteria. Is there something I have missed, or is this the way text datasources work?

Hi,
if you assign SPRAS to 0LANGU, the system will manage the language vectors by itself and will not let you select the laguage loaded (BW will request systematically all its installed languages form the source system).
There is however (and always...) a trick:
remove the mapping 0LANGU <> SPRAS and write a routine for 0LANGU
RESULT = TRAN-STRUCTURE-SPRAS.
The system will then let you SELECT in your IPack.

CP5 - Default display times for Text Captions

Hi there,
I'm using Captivate 5.0.1 and trying to figure out how to do something that was in Captivate 4. In CP 4, I could edit the Preferences and set a default display time for new text captions. By default it is set to 3 seconds for all new text captions, but you could change it. In CP 5 the default is set to 3, does anyone know how to change it?

It is exactly in the same place as in Captivate 4: Preferences, Global, Defaults. See screenshot. Or perhaps I do not understand your question well? If you are looking for Apply to all, you have to go in the Properties, but I did not understand that this was your question.

No support for text files attached in emails

I was shocked to discover that a simple RTF (Rich Text File) is not supported by iPhone. I was sent a small attachment as a text file and was unable to open it. Surely something as simple as a text file attachment should be easy to display.

my computer setting is German, i want to keep this.
And i want the java appliacations to start in english.
any idea how can i change the JVM default lacal value?

I'm not sure if there's some global setting, take a look in the options that can be passed to "java" (executable).
Anyway, you could just use a
Locale germanLocale = Locale.GERMAN;

I tried to use that in similar way but it is not acceptable.

How to create support for ADF unsupported locale?

I am working with JDeveloper 11g tp4 and I would like to add support for fo locale (which I've seen that is currently unsupported in adf). I've written a MessageBundle_fo class in oracle.adf.view.faces.resource package extending java.util.ListResourceBundle but seems not enough (In a jspx page I have a form with a number inputText; when run, only the loading image is shown and no message is displayed on server log.. changing the locale in faces-config.xml to one of the supporting locales, works just fine).
Any guideline is welcome.

1. Created AdcsResourceBundle_fo.java in the same package as AdcsResourceBundle.java
2. Configured locale in faces-config.xml

      <supported-locale>fo</supported-locale>
    </locale-config>Indeed the messages are taken from AdcsResourceBundle_fo.java (I've tested the PanelCollection), but the problem with the number inputText is still there.
Test scenario:
Drag and drop DepartmentsView1 from Data Control to showDetailItem 1 in Table.jspx -> Create -> Forms -> ADF Form
When the page is run, the 'Splash' image and 'Loading..' remains on the browser window and nothing else happens. And again, no messages in the server log.
Is there anything else that needs to be configured?

I am using Build JDEVADF_11.1.1.4.0_GENERIC_101227.1736.5923
I have a basic query. I was playing around with locales. I set my application default locale and supported locale as below in the faces-config.xml

<supported-locale>ja</supported-locale>
</locale-config>Now I launched my application on a browser set to 'en' language. In this case FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getViewRoot().getLocale() indicates 'en' locale and when I set the browser locale to 'ja', FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getViewRoot().getLocale() indicates 'ja' locale. Does this mean that FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getViewRoot().getLocale() returns the locale of the browser? How do I programatically find the default locale of my application that was defined above (i.e. en)?

I want to show everything on my application in English.
I dont want to user f:view locale="en"
Also, i dont have any Java code where i case setLocale. I want to set at the time when my application is loading in the browser.
When i set it in faces-config, the browser locale over rides the value set in faces-config.
Is there a way by which i define the locale for my application and my browser dont override this value.

Default search value for Query By Example Report

Is there any way I can add the wildcard % as a default search value for text fields in the customization screen for a QBE report? The aim is to relieve the user from knowing that you have to input the wildcard % in the search field.
Also, Is there a way to change the label of the standard 'Close' button, which is a bit misleading as it actually takes you back to the report customisation window?

You can give default values for bind variables in sql report and not for QBE reports. Also it is not possible to remove the close button.

EXIT_SAPLRSAP_003 is obselete. You can use EXIT_SAPLRSAP_002 for text datasource enhancement. See OSS note 413539. Also have a look into below link

Greek Language support for C1-01

I've just bought a C1-01 over the internet and it turns out that there is no Greek language support for texting.
Is there anyway I can resolve this?

You have to visit your nearest nokia care point. They will be able to add the greek language in your phone. But note that you will have to pay for this (I think it's about 15euros).
