History of the default printers maintained for a user to analyze
BOL and packing list trigger the activity based on the user profile . So we need the history of the default printers maintained for a user to analyze there issues.
Hi Raj,
If you want to check activity of perticular user for the problems then you can use trace on for particular user only for the time period. Please be careful trace on is not recommended by SAP.
I hope your problem will be solve.

How to change the default operators in sap web ui Search screen?
How to change the default operators in sap web ui Search screen?
For eg. Using advance search option , I have some fields with default operators like equals, contains,is between, is less than and is greater than. I don't need all these operators for this field.
I need only "equals" operator. How do i remove the rest of the operators? There is a view cluster crmvc_dq where all the standard setting is present related to you r issue. Please try if you can modify that, that way you will avoid the code.
Incase you are not able to make any changes there then in that case you have to redefine the method GET_DQUERY_DEFINITION () of the IMPL class to delete the operators for a particular serach field.

I'm trying to connect my Kodak ESP c310 to my Mac mini but it's not coming up in my default printers menu and everything else is working. Their on the same network, software and drivers up to date, but can't get it to connect.
You can purchase recovery disks from HP. Here is a webpage showing you how to do that:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&docname=bph07143
If HP no longer supplies your specific recovery disk, you can usually find one from a 3rd party site, such as www.restoredisks.com for between $20 and $30. -

CA Forum: Crystal Reports
I had SQL Server 2000 and Crystal Reports 8.0 installed on Windows 2000. ASP intranet application was working fine and users had their crystal reports on their default printers. After upgrading Windows 2000 to Windows 2003 Crystal doesn't recognize users default printers any more and choose one particular printer on network no matter what users default printer is. They can choose the necessary one still, but it realy bothers them because they get use to have it in a right way. Please, help! What information should I provide?

Wireless Networks not available under Manage Default Printers.
I have a client who has 4 offices he travels between. He needs the default printer to change based on the name of the wireless network he connects to. This feature worked for a while, but after some unknown point stopped accepting new networks into the list
under "manage default printer". We changed the SSID of two locations a month ago, and I can not get them to show up in the list under "manage default printer". I went through and removed every listing under the "manage default printer"
list, hoping to start fresh, but after a week, in the dropdown menu, only the old networks are there.
Bottom line is I need to find out why these new SSID are not showing as an option to select inside of "manage default printers". Or find a way to manually add them. I (believe) have found where they appear to be in the registry, but the values
for network name seem to be encrypted. Is there a file I can edit somewhere to manually add in these entries?
The target networks are remembered and can be managed by windows, and connect automatically.
This is a Windows 7 Pro laptop.
Thanks!
-OzzyHi,
Based on my research,it may be caused that you have not deleted network locations completely.
Please follow the steps to check the result.
1.open the Network and Sharing Center console in Control Panel.
2.Click on the "Icon" under "View your active networks". This will open the "Set Network Properties" dialogue. Here you can rename a network connection or change the icon for that network connection.
3.Click on "Merge or Delete Network Locations" to see a list of stored network connections. You can delete the old SSID.

Setting the default resolution for sap logon
Hi, ALL!
I'm terribly tired of SAP interface. It's so uncomfortable for work.
For example maybe you know khow to set the default resolution for sap logon to make it use its widgets of proper size. e.g. when i work with transfer rules, it has only half of screen for useful area (i use 1400x1050), and right part is just empty, but on the left very many small fields and you should constantly use scrollbars (i think you know it well). Maybe there is system customizing for this purpose.Hello Dmitry,
There is no customizing for this - atleast to my knowledge.
However, you should have to redo the settings again and again unless you are continuously re-sizing the main window.
Cheers

Can anyone give me some info. as to which would be better or which would SAP recommend as Best Practice - whether to use external <b>Netegrity tool for Authentication & Security</b> or the default provided by SAP Web AS.
Thanks & Regards,
JeetuFirstly, I completely agree with Nicks comments and in any case the original question was Best Practice and desgin phase not technical "how to" implemenation.
@Jeetendra,
Actually, overall the decisions are normally made for you as a basic project requirement eg. Constraint: Users need to access Portal from a web link in intranet site secured by Netegrity without reauthentication. So as mentioned above its usually a pure SSO constraint. Thereafter it is more of 'How best' and what are the technical limitations. Otherwise there is no real need to make life more difficult. Could you describe why you are having to make this feasability study?
Since Netegrity is an external component, Performance will never be a reason to include Netegrity as it only adds complexity. The performance impact will depend on agent configuration and policies and size of Netegrity infrastructure etc. This needs to be evaluated with the Netegrity team based on the estimated number of concurrent users/requests etc. Concrete info will not be possible unless you do a load test with / without Netegrity and compare results.
Security aspects have to be looked at across the whole spectrum based on the local environment and requirements. Netegrity is complementary to WAS security but can actually reduce security eg. If basic header authentication is configured without additional checks. It also may or may not be required to cover requests to back end systems.
Take a look at the SAP security guide.
If you are still unsure of how best to proceed you may need to get specialist assistance as I doubt someone will be able/willing to provide the detail you require without some kind of intervention. -
Manage default printers in Windows 7
I understand that the manage default printers option is only available in premium editions of Windows 7, but I guess Home PREMIUM is not considered a premium edition because I don't see the option.
Is there any work around besides manually changing the default every other week? Is there a registry entry that I can set/change?This feature is only available in premium editions of Windows 7. It's also only found on laptops and other portable devices that use a battery.
Take a look at the following links

any ideas?Hi,
Are you enable POP account in internal Exchange server or using POP from ISP outside?
Check File > Accounts Setting > Email > Select this account > Change > More Setting... > Outgoing Server tab > Check the first box: My outgoing server (smtp) requires authentication and don’t circle: Log on to incoming mail server before
sending e-mail.
If you are using check the LDAP, please also check the server address is correct or connection port is right.
If there is nothing wrong with your client. The problem could be on the mail server. Sometimes it could be due to maintain of the mail server of your recipient, and it is not available . You can give a try other time. If still failing, very possible the
email is no longer available.
Please let me know the result and feel free to post back.
