while installing Oracle apps...we come across...
select internationalization Settings
Screen...which describes...
(a) Base Language
(b) Default Territory...
I am in Middle East...I am using Base Language as ENGLISH...
What Territory I have to give here...
wethere i have to give...AMERICA or MIDDLEAST..
Please suggest me

Can I give AMERICA here...no problem for us..we are not going to install additional languages..only English...
It is the production server..I need to set up this...
If give AMERICA as the Default territory..no problems in future......I am in Bahrain now..this is the Bahrain based company..only Bahrain users will use this one...government company..

Hi Manuel,
For printing, the settings are stored within the layout. If you have one layout containing the settings you use, you can then use this layout as your template and do a 'Save As' every time you make your changes.

During R12.0.4 installation should i have to select saudi Arabiaas default territory. i am doing installation in saudi arabia with NLS Arabic patch.

During R12.0.4 installation should i have to select saudi Arabiaas default territory. i am doing installation in saudi arabia with NLS Arabic patch.The profile options for language and territory are configured at the site level when you run Rapid Install. The language you choose as the base language is used for the language profile. The default settings for date and number formats are derived from the territory profile setting. So, if you want to use KSA territory, select it here. Otherwise, keep it as it is (I would suggest you keep the default and change it later).
In Release 12, Rapid install only installs American English. If you plan to use languages other than American English in your installation, read the information in the Oracle Applications NLS Release Notes, and complete the necessary steps for installing the translated software.

It's in the download. Did you unzip the file and install it in the correct location? It's in the hp34970u.llb. And why are you using that instead of the current LabVIEW driver - the project style one?

How do i change the default Page Setup settings?

I have a recurring "bug" - whenever i open a PDF - and usually when i create new files (in any program), the default setting is to have it print horizontally at 65%.
to be more concise, if i open a blank document in "Text Edit" as an example and go to Page Setup - its already set to 65%, rotated horizontal - - instead of vertical orientation at 100%.....
This is frustrating, as I often forget this - go to print a PDF - and it comes out very small and rotated 90 degrees.
This even happened when i recently got a new printer and had to install / setup a new driver.
I was able to get it to stop a long time ago by deleting all of my printers and starting over from scratch - but the problem quickly resurfaced.
(I think it may have something to do with receiving a PDF from a third party that had this setting to allow me to print a larger drawing onto letter sized paper - - but it seems to overtake all of my files as default.)
I hope i explained this clearly.....what i would like to do is know how to definitively change this "default" setting.....

Anyway, have you tried File>Page Setup..., then setting the Scale, Size, & Orientation, then same Window>Settiungs>Page Attributes>Save as Default... or even the Restore Original Defaults there?

Set default page setup settings in adobe acrobat so adobe reader prints to tray 2 on my printer by default?

I want to set a tray on my printer to be the default for just adobe reader without setting the default for windows. When i set page setup settings it reverts to the defaults when i open new PDFs and i want this seetin to save.

I would suggest creating a second instance of the printer in Windows with tray 2 as the default tray - select that printer from Acrobat.
Control Panel > Add Printer > Create the Printer
Control Panel > Printers > Printer Properties

Per application default page setup

Is there any way to provide an application-specific, NOT system-wide, paper-size default setup for printing?
For example, with Acrobat Reader I want a custom paper-size default setup of no margins so that the PDF prints at its original size/scale, but with Safari I want a custom paper-size default setup of 1" margins for printing web pages. However, when I specify the no-margin custom paper-size default setup for Acrobat, it becomes the system-wide default for all applications. This is NOT what I want at all.

You can make use of Presets. Create different presets for Acrobat Reader and another for Safari. That way, when you print, you only have to choose the preset you want to use instead of going through each print dialog pane for your print settings.

Default page setup not matching with document size.

working on Acrobat X 10.1.4, windows7 64bit, have created lots of boards in AI saved as PDF in Legal size but when opening to print thru Acrobat it always defaults to Letter, why cant Acrobat detect size? this is very annoying.

Use Page Setup to set what you would like as defaults. Before clicking OK, choose Save As Default from the Settings popup. If you have more than one printer, I suggest selecting your default printer, as well.

I have a pdf which I need to print.
The preview window shows portrait A4.
It prints the first page portrait and then the rest as landscape with only 1/2 the page printing.
I have searched for default settings but have gotten no where.
My print dialog box default is landscape every time I open a PDF document even though the pages are portrait.
I am using Acobat XI Version 11.0.03
Can someone help?

From the menu File > Page Setup select Portrait and then in the Settings at the top, open it and select Save As Default.

Disable AutoAnalyzer as default during setup.

I was wondering if there is a way to have auto-analyzer disabled by default during the setup process, so that different user's won't have to disable it themselves?

You mean as part of the installation process?

Default radio setup for PM maintenace

When you run PM order by using transaction IW38 enter or PM1 AND period as 31.10.9999 it will show you change PM orders: list orders when double click order ie 50035549 it will open another screen change schedule maintenance .
you can see vairious tab button select the last as control and you can see planning indicator with radio button default to unplanned order. So is there any way for which It should default to radio button planned order because I have to open one by one all the order and have to change from unplanned order to planned order . Is there any setup in spro I have to do?

The control panel will NOT let me activate either CONTACTS or Calendar as it just says I do not have a default profile setup, which I do have. I have checked it over and over again but it still refuses to let me use these features. I am using Office 2010

SCCM 2012 client in capture but deploy has default step "Setup Windows and ConfigMgr"

We have our SCCM 2012 client in the capture but the deploy has a single step "Setup Windows and ConfigMgr" in which there is no option to NOT install the sccm 2012 client.
So what happens then, the client is installed a second time?
Please advise.

This is a mandatory step in order to configure Windows for a first use. In your case, the SCCM client will just be serialized, it's not a problem. The SCCM client has generally been prepared during the design capture.

Default plan - Setup issue

We are facing an issue while setting up a default plan in Benefits. Under Program Enrollment Requirements -> Life Event -> Plan, the check box for 'Assign on Default' is enabled and rest of the configuration under that tab has been made blank. However, this plan doesn't come up in the Enrollment form after the corresponding life event has been processed.
We have other default plans which have similar configuration and are working correctly. This is the only plan with the problem.
Can anyone give me some pointers on what could go wrong.

What plan type is it? Do you have a min/max number of plans attached to that plan type?
How many options are available for the plan and is one specific option set up as a default?
Did you try and make the default set-up at the plan enrollment requirements level?
You may want to set up the enrollment method as automatic for that plan under program enrollment requirements.
I would start looking at those things.
