Default value port in expression......

Hi ,I have 5 versions of a mapping. (power centre 9.1.0)Now I want to start working with the 3rd version and want my modification to be saved as the 6th version.When I export the 3rd version xml & re-import it would replace the existing mapping & its previous versions, which I don't want.How can I achieve this ?-Subho

Can anyone please tell me the solution for the below scenario in Informatica. I have seen this scenario in folkstalk.com Take a look at the following tree structure diagram. From the tree  structure, you can easily derive the parent-child relationship between  the elements. For example, B is parent of D and E.    The above tree structure data is represented in a table as shown below. SOURCE TABLE:  C1C2C3C4ABDHABDIABENULLACFNULLACGNULL  Here in this table, column C1 is parent of column C2, column C2 is parent of column C3, column C3 is parent of column C4. Design a mapping to load the target table with the below data. Here you  need to generate sequence numbers for each element and then you have to  get the parent id. As the element "A" is at root, it does not have any  parent and its parent_id is NULL. TARGET TABLE Seq_IDELEMENTParent_ID   1    A   NULL   2    B   1   3    C   1   4    D   2   5    E   2   6    F   3   7    G   3   8    H   4   9    I   4  Both Source and Target are Oracle tables.Please help me how to acheive this in Informatica.

  • SSRS Cascading Parameter Setting Default Value of Parameter by Expression

    Hi All,
    I need some help on an issue I am running into in SQL server 2008 report parameters. I have the following Report Parameters defined:
    1) @PredefinedDateSelection - Boolean (User Selectable True/False, Default Value - 'False')
    2) @StartDate - Text (User input text box)
    If @PredefinedDateSelection = TRUE, then I would like to provide a particular default value to the StartDate textbox (i.e. @StartDate Default Value), If @PredefinedDateSelection = FALSE, then I would like to provide a different default value.
    I have the following code for the Expression for the Default value of @StartDate: =code.GetStartDate(Parameters!PreDefinedTimeSelection.Value)
    where GetStartDate is a very simple VB function defined as :
    Public Function GetStartDate(x as boolean ) As String
    Dim a as string
    Dim b as string
    a = "Report Uses Predefined Values"
    b = "Please Input Value"
    If (x) then
    Return a
    else
    Return b
    end if
    end function.
    Now the default value of @StartDate stays set as "Please Input Value", and does not change when I toggle @PredefinedDateSelection from False to True and vice versa. I was expecting to see the Default value to change between the two messages depending on my selection in the report preview.
    Another parameter which is a dropdown and uses a dataset to display two different set of selectable items depending on the value of @PredefinedDateSelection is working just fine. I am not sure if I am missing something or I am doing something wrong.
    Instead of using the VB code I also tried : =iif(Parameters!PreDefinedTimeSelection.Value = True,"Report Uses Predefined Values","Please Input Value")
    I also tried changing the default value using a dataset with SQL query and the available value set to NONE, so that the user could input. But the Default value does not refresh or change values.
     I hope I have explained my question clearly. I would really appreciate any thoughts and comments.
    Thanks,
    Arunesh

    Thank you much for your response.
    I tried that and it did work. But my requirement is to have a user input the date. The basic idea is if the user decides on a predefined time range like Day Shift Today or Yesterday and so on... then the report would automatically calculate the values based on predefined date time values. On the other hand, if the intent is to run the report for an arbitrary period then the user supplies the date and time limits.
    What I am trying to achieve is have the same parameter available for user input , but when the User decides he wants Predefined then the "textbox" populates with date and time as per his choice of predefind range.
    I understand that by this the user can still overwrite the date and time on the text box, but the report will run the predefined values as long as he has the @PredefinedDateSelection Set to true.
    Is there a way I can impement this?
    Once again I thank you and appreciate  your input.

  • Possible to set a default column value to an expression?

    Hi,
    Is it possible to set a default column name to an expression when creating a table?
    For example, I wish to set the default value of a column to read from another table's column and do some arithmetic....is this possible?
    Thanks.

    Yes, you can, with trigger Before Insert for Each row
    But be carefull, you can hit the mutating table problem...

    Sudha,
    For a default value type of PL/SQL Expression, you could create a function that accepts an input and returns a value. If the function (not a procedure) is named GET_REFNO, you would call it using an expression in the default value field like:
    get_refno(:P3_REFTYPE)
    For a default value type of PL/SQL Function Body, you could call your existing procedure with a default value like:declare
        l_value varchar2(32767);
    begin
        get_refno(:P3_REFTYPE, l_value);
        return l_value;
    end;Scott

  • PL/SQL function/Expression in a default value

    Hi,
    I want to generate a sequence number using oracle sequence and populate a field when user hits create button. I tried using PL/SQL expression in the default value of a field. What is the exact syntax for this. I tried this
    :P18_PROJECT_NUMBER := MNT_PROJECTS_NUMBER_S.NEXTVAL;
    Did not work.
    select MNT_PROJECTS_NUMBER_S.NEXTVAL into :P18_PROJECT_NUMBER
    from dual;
    Did not work. Can anyone help me with this ?
    Thanks

    Naresh - You should never say something "did not work" without saying what happened. It is useless otherwise.

  • Vivado 2015.1 Bug Report: Adding Required Port without Default Value in Custom Interface Definition

    When adding a port using the Custom Interface Definition window and not defining a Default Value, the attached error message appears.  Not only are the html tags visible, but this error should not be thrown in the first place if both Master/Slave Presense is set to "required".  As it is, a port can only be added if a Default Value is given, but can be removed later from the ports table.

    yes,I have successfully install petalinux2015.2,but,the issue still be the same as before,the axi 16550 is not working,when I run echo 123 > /dev/ttyS1,my ttyPS0 stop working and axi com keeping null output...
    then,I try petalinux2014.4+petalinux2014.4,the difference is the ttyPS0 still alive but axi-com still null...
    I found that pl.dtsi file is quite different between the three mode:
    M1,petalinux2014.4+vivado2015.1
    M2,petalinux2015.2+vivado2015.1
    M3,petalinux2014.4+vivado2014.4
    most confuse for me is the interrupt ID,
    in vivado I connect the axi intterrupt to ID 62 but I get different auto generate dts file
    M1:nothing about interrupt and i add manuually in system-top.file
    M2:vivado ID is 61 but dts "interrupts = <0 30 4>"
    M3:vivado ID is 62 but dts "interrupts = <0 31 4>"
    does petalinux auto detect the vivado interrupt connection and ID and write to dts file right or User have to verify and rewrite in ststem-top.dts?
    working hard for the issue and hope for a axi demo including petalinux + vivado ,help please

  • Using expression in Default Value for Parameter in BI Publisher Model

    Hi Everyone,
    I have created a BI publisher data model with bind parameters. It works fine, however, I need to put a default value in the parameter that is the result of a query. I have a month and a year parameter and for month parameter, I want the default to be always the current month when the report is first opened. I put the sql query in the default column but it does not seem to work.
    Any help is greatly appreciated,
    Thanks,

    Did you get a resolution for this?
    I might be able to use the solution

  • Wsdl host:port default values

    Hi,
    I've deployed a webservice in Weblogic 12.1.3, I expect that when I invoke the WSDL the binding address will be:
    http://host:port/contextPath/serviceUri?WSDL
    where host should be the host with which I've invoked the webservice and port the portnumber I've used in the webservice call. I mean if I call the webservice invoking directly a managed server instance with port 7103 the binding addres should be:
    <service name="ComplexService">
         <port binding="s0:ComplexServiceSoapBinding" name="ComplexServicePort">
           <s1:address location="http://myhost:7103/complex/ComplexService"/>
         </port>
       </service>
    The problem is that the WSDL is avoiding the managed server instance port 7103 and always is using the default protocol port 80 for http and 443 for https.
    <s1:address location="http://myhost:80/complex/ComplexService"/>
    Any ideas why is happening that?
    Thank you.

    Hi, I've checked what you said, but the configurations seems right:

  • Report Builder 2.0 loses parameter Null default value when deployed

    When a parameter is set to a default value of (Null) and the report is saved to the sever, the default is lost when the report is re-opened in RB2.  This problem doesn't seem to occur in BIDS.  I've tried to use an expression to set the value to System.DBNull but this can no longer be done.
    Any ideas for a work-around?
    Is there a bug report open for this?  I couldn't find an open bug on the Connections site and there's an issue on that site right now when submitting feedback.Paul Turley [Hitachi Consulting]
    SQLServerBIBlog.com

    Hi All,
    I just had an almost identical issue using report builder 3.0 so I don't believe it is fixed. I had 4 parameters set to default to (Null) and I added a new one with identical settings but it would continually come up blank and not check the null box automatically
    when going into my sub report.
    To make matters worse I experimented changing one of the old parameters and it then started exhibiting the same behaviour. Using Luke's post above solved the issue (though it was Manage in my version not Administrate).
    Using System.DBNull.Value resulted in it being treated as a literal string "System.DBNull.Value" and putting that in the filter for me.
    Hope it helps.

  • How to use Default value in a column in Tabular form in insertion or upda

    Hello,
    I am trying to use Default values so that user need not have to enter data, but when I select default type and put a default value, I see an error message, if I try to add a new row.
    How can I use a default value in a Column in a Tabular Form?
    Gouri
    Edited by: user1046395 on Apr 3, 2009 9:58 AM

    Gouri,
    You can just simply edit to each column's report attribute. For example,
    To set default date,
    Default Type: PL/SQL Expression of Function
    Default: sysdate
    To set default text,
    Default Type: PL/SQL Expression of Function
    Default: *'CLERK'*
    If you still have an error, what is the error message?

  • Opening Build Specification - Error 7 occurred at Get LV Class Default Value.vi

    I recently ported my project to a new PC. Everything seems to run fine uncompiled, and I am able to build an executable without issue. However, my build specification shows up in the project explorer with question mark next to it. When I try to build again or edit the properties I get a popup with the information below:
    Error 7 occurred at Get LV Class Default Value.vi
    Possible reason(s):
    LabVIEW: File not found. The file might be in a different location or deleted. Use the command prompt or the file explorer to verify that the path is correct.
    =========================
    NI-488: Nonexistent GPIB interface.

    AB_UI_Initialize_Framework.vi
    AB_UI_FRAMEWORK.vi
    AB_Item_OnDoProperties.vi

    LabVIEW attempted to load the class at this path:
    <Empty Path>
    I've seen messages from people getting the same error when trying to run a compiled executable, but mine actually runs fine. I am just unable to open the build specification to rebuild or edit its properties.

    This application is for a Windows machine, and I am not using the Report Generation Toolkit. However, I shut down my computer last night and when I booted it up this morning my Build Specification now opens fine and I am able to edit it. My only thought as to why it occured in the first place is that I had added several files to user.lib and instr.lib and restarted LabVIEW, but it appears that it required my computer to be restarted as well.

  • Setting a Default Value in SQL Query Report

    Hello:
    We are using a SQL Query Report to provide a mass update to a table. We are using the apex.collection and having it display a number of records in a SQL Query Report for mass update. We have 14 columns in the report, for which the first 11 are populated via the collection. The remaining 3 are open for input but the individual making the updates. We've were able to provide a default value for 2 of the remaining 3 columns using a named LOV's - however the fourth column we would like to default a sysdate - but we are not successful.
    We've attempted many things but none seem to work, including adding that column to the collection and assigning it a default sysdate value. We've also tried changing the settings in the report attributes --> Tabular Form Elements by setting the Display as to: Datepicker, Default type to PL/SQL Expression and setting the default to sysdate. We've also tried caputuring a date on the previous page and loading it onto the report page and trying to default the date column to a page item default.
    I'd appreciate any help.
    Thanks
    FYI - we are using version 3.2

    use as default
    to_char(sysdate, 'dd/mm/yyy') where the format is your application or item date format

  • How to set a default value for a page item

    I am working with a facility table that has name and address information. The user can add contact name information on a separate page. Since the address for the facility and contact is usually the same, I want to add a default value for the contact address. The facility page is on 201 and the link to add a new contact row is on page 202. I showed in the default value :P201_street for the contact's address. But, when I run the page, the contact address field shows the :P201_street, not the actual facility address. What am I leaving out? Must be something obvious?!
    Thanks very much.
    Judy

    In the default value, I showed: v('P201_STREET1') with the default value type of: PL/SQL Expression and received the following oracle error ==> Item default is not a PL/SQL expression. Use &ITEM syntax. The v('ITEM') syntax is not valid for item defaults. So I changed it to: &P201_STREET1 and got another oracle error , ERR-9132 error in PLSQL expression for item default code, item=P202_STREET1.
    Any more suggestions? Thx.

  • How to set the default value of a LOV that is found in a view criteria

    HI,
    I need to set the default value of an LOV that is found in a view criteria. I tried to set a groovy expression but unfortunately it wasn't read. i also tried to bind the LOV to a bind variable and set the value of the bind variable in the constructor of my backing bean but unfortunately the default value appeared the second time i entered the screen and not on page load.
    Can anyone advise where can i set the default value,
    Thanks

    if you want some default value in LOV. you go to edit list of value wizard-> UI hint->include no selection Item checkbox -checked.use labeled item first of list- and beside that put the label. but when you try to get value, it will show null.but you can manipulate in ur java , if it default value

  • How to set default value for vc2_255_arr in plsql parameter directive?

    Hi,
    I would like to set a default values for a plsql parameter which is of vc2_255_arr type. How to do that?
    Below is the example from PL/SQL Server Page.
    +" To set a default value, so that the parameter becomes optional, include a default="expression" attribute in the directive. The values for this attribute are substituted directly into a PL/SQL statement, so any strings must be single-quoted, and you can use special values such as null, as in the following example:+
    +<%@ plsql parameter="p_last_name" default="null" %> "+
    My plsql parameter is p_arr which is of "TYPE vc2_255_arr IS TABLE OF VARCHAR2(255) INDEX BY BINARY_INTEGER"
    *<%@ plsql parameter="p_arr" type="PMP_LIB.VC2_255_ARR" %>*
    Thanks in advance!
    kwong

    My plsql parameter is p_arr which is of "TYPE vc2_255_arr IS TABLE OF VARCHAR2(255) INDEX BY BINARY_INTEGER"You need to declare it in a package specification and initialize in the package body:
    SQL> create or replace package pmp_lib
    as
       type vc2_255_arr is table of varchar2 (255)
                              index by binary_integer;
       vc2_255_arr_default   vc2_255_arr;
    end pmp_lib;
    Package created.
    SQL> create or replace package body pmp_lib
    as
    begin
       vc2_255_arr_default (1) := 'abc';
       vc2_255_arr_default (2) := 'def';
    end pmp_lib;
    Package body created.
    SQL> declare
       arr   pmp_lib.vc2_255_arr := pmp_lib.vc2_255_arr_default;
    begin
       for i in 1 .. arr.count
       loop
          dbms_output.put_line (arr (i));
       end loop;
    end;
    abc
    def
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.so in your case it would probably be sth like (assuming pmp_lib is a package):
    <%@ plsql parameter="p_arr" type="PMP_LIB.VC2_255_ARR" default = "PMP_LIB.vc2_255_arr_default" %>
