Define a different administrator user for map_admin_role

Hi,
I have deployed Mapviewer 11.1.1 into Weblogic 10.3.2. I need to create a new user which would have the permissions to run some MV admin requests, without providing the master weblogic admin user.
All the documentation I have read so far, indicates that I just need to change the "weblogic.xml" file in the Mapviewer exploded directory. The principal name in the file has a value of "Administrator" which is a role in weblogic, not a user. Why is this value set to a role instead of a user?
If I change the principal name to a new user, I am not able to access the weblogic console thru a proxy, but on the actual app server, I am able to access the console. I receive the HTTP 403 error from the web server.
I don't understand the behaviour since the web sever is only a "passthru", so should have no effect.
Can someone help?

Run Labview as different windows user (for database connectivity)

I have to connect to a corporate remote MSSQL-Database on the network, using the database connectivity toolkit for LabVIEW.
The db-authentification is realized checking the windows user (ads) who acceses the datebase (not a database user / password which is standard in the database vis)
Therefore I have to run LabVIEW as the defined windows user, different than the logged in user on the pc.
Is that possible to realize with LabVIEW?
Other Windows-tools allow to define the windows user/password which "run" an application - how can I do that with LabVIEW?

Hi Zav. There is a windows command 'runas' which _may_ let you do what you want; I haven't
tried what you need to do, but is has worked for other tasks for us. Try 'runas /?' for the switches.
You will have to build your LV program into an executable, then use runas to launch it. Is there
a reason you can't just login to Windows as the required user?
If you can get your db admin to allow dbuser/password authentication that would be a much better
way to go.

Administrator user rename

I'm using OBIEE 11g.
I usually log in as Administrator to admin tool and to browser for generating reports.
My customers log in as users without editing permissions. just viewing dashboards and reports.
Since I want to integrate with SSO DB, whcih already has Administrator user for other purposes, I want to rename OBIEE Administrator username.
What is the procedure for modifying that user name and password (for both GUI and Admin tool)?

Yes, but it's somewhat difficult. See the following article's last procedure: Macworld | Changing the short username in Leopard. The procedure is the same in Snow Leopard as it is in Leopard.
You cannot rename a folder to the same name as another. But you can choose to keep the user folder you restored from your backup and delete the other one. This will work as long as both have different short names. I assume you have the original folder created after it was returned from repair. I also assume that the short name is not the one you used on your old system - the one you restored from your backup. You can log into your restored Home folder, open Accounts preferences, delete the unwanted Home folder, then reset the auto-login to the kept Home folder.

We use RMAN catalog that backup our production database using "oracle" user (OS user is "oracle") account. We wanted to clone this database to different host and to different OS user (for example is "oradev") account. Both user has same group (oradba). Can I able to restore the control fies/data files to different user account (the account that wasn't backed up).

Yes, the user account should be transparent assuming the backuppieces have the appropriate user/group permissions.

How can you define a different homepage for a user?

I am fairly new to Application express, I have created an application but I would like to define a different homepage for a user when they login. Of course I can modifiy the PLSQL code:

Are Sql functions different from user defined functions ?

SQL functions are built into Oracle Database and are available for use in various appropriate SQL statements. Do not >confuse SQL functions with user-defined functions written in PL/SQL.according to first paragraph of this document Sql functions are different from user defined functions . How is that ?
Is they really differ from each other ?

How do I set up different icloud accounts for each family member and make them able to access them on our common mac using their user name on the mac. I am doing this to make sure kids don't get access to our messages.

We have several apple products in the family. I would like to set up different icloud accounts for each memeber. I lately noticed having activated different devices with same icloud account that each device can access everyones messages by going in their settings and clicking which number or email they want to use to see messages. Let me make sure I am understood, on my sons ipod in his messages settings he can switch to my cell number and see all my messages. Re setting the devices isn't my great issue but can i set up each kids user account on my mac to their individual icloud accounts?

Any devices connected to the same icloud account can sync all the data on that account. For this reason an icloud account is really for a single user.
On a mac, if each user has their own account, then the itunes for that mac account should be set up to connect to that user's icloud account (System preferences>icloud).

Um, there is no such thing as NAS4.1.
I'm assuming that you mean NAS4.0 (maybe NAS4.0sp1?). If so, then the session timeouts are specified in the session section of the NTV configuration files.
AFAIK, you can specify session timeouts on a per user basis.

Different Password Policy for Different User Groups in ACS 4.2

Can some one provide a solution for the below requirement?
We do have ACS 4.2 appliance managing firewalls of different clients. The users are common i.e, helpdesk administrators. One of the client came up with setting different password policy for managing their devices i.e, the client wants to have min 15 characters as password length. We do have currently 8 characters as min password length. Can we change the password policy to min 15 characters only for managing the firewalls of this client whereas for all other client firewalls we feel better to have 8 characters as min password length?
It seems that these password policies are global & affects all the users.
This is something like, having two sets of password (for each user) policy depending on the client which he is going to manage.
For my knowledge, i think that this is not possible. But, thought to cross-check with experts!

Yor're correct. Password policy on ACS will affect all internal user. We can't create different password policies for diferent clients/connections/set_of_users
Password validation options apply only to user passwords that are stored in the ACS internal database. They do not apply to passwords in user records in external user databases; nor do they apply to enable or admin passwords for Cisco IOS network devices.

We have a requirement to use different stylesheets (xsls) for employees and customers in OAM. How we can configure different XSLs for user first time logon to OAM (i.e for change password and configuring challenge and responses).

XSLs displayed are controlled by the StyleCookie. So if you can set the value of this cookie to be different front customers and employees, they will see different styles.
You can do this in various locations -> from the web server, from the url, custom plugins, etc....

Brooks lansing if you create a new Administrator account does the same issue occur? If so then it is likely that there is a file permission failure and file permissions have been set for the existing Users instead of the groups they belong to.
Have you removed and reinstalled Photoshop Elements 11? This may reset the file permissions to the correct state to allow it to work under new accounts.
