Define My Own Theme Resources

Again,
Probably very simplistic but I still retain that computers do what I tell them, not what someone else up the food chain decreed I "should" tell them.
I create an App and the color scheme is all wonky (for my tastes).  Every new page i create defaults to this be-damned "ThemeResource" moniker.  So how do I create my own.  I want to open the "ThemeResource" file and change
the values.  Or at least create my own ThemeResource and define what those resources are.
This "should" be possible but I cannot find a simple guide to how.

Well,
I guess I'm thinking more in terms of inheritance (which is not XML or XAML i know).  Id like to have everything work of the base theme, light or dark, but if I want to customize the colors in anyway I'd wouldn't want to have to declare them direct.
Like if the top border of all my pages I want a shade of light blue, i'd want to define "CustomHeaderBackColor" and thus have that set, instead of overriding a theme defined color that might be used else where and still desired.
I'm still leaning the model here for the Store App framework so the nuanced details are a bit of anathema to my more traditional programming style.
I've read all the spec sheets for ThemeDictionaries but none of them seem to describe what i'm talking about.  It's either override 20 specific color identifiers or I list the colors in ever control directly.  I thought there should be some happy
medium, but maybe there isn't.

  • How owns the resources in a domain

Hi: guys, I am bit confused about who own the resources (datasources, resource adapters, JTA etc) in a domain. Are the resources owned by managed servers? If yes can the resources be shared between two managed servers in a same domain.
My second question is that can we share the same resource between two web application deployed under the same managed server or same domain?
    Regards,
    RJ.

    Hi RJ,
Resources like JDBC datasources or JTA are for the whole domain, so more than only one managed server can use them and in fact you can deploy them to a cluster when you are creating or configuring one of these resources.
Regarding your second question the answer is yes. You can share the same resource between two web application deployed under the same managed server cluster, single managed server or same domain.

  • Define our own Exceptions in th function builder

    hi
how to define our own Exceptions in th function builder in the Exception tab and how to use them in functon definiton.
    regards
    ravish

    Hi,
    <b>Exceptions</b>
The exception of a function module are defined on the Exceptions tab page in the Function Builder. Here you can select exception classes to define whether class-based exceptions are declared or non-class-based exception are defined. Class-based exceptions are represented in the above syntax by RAISING, and non-class-based exceptions are represented by EXCEPTIONS.
The addition RAISING is used to declare class-based exceptions that can be propagated from the function module to the caller. Exceptions in the categories CX_STATIC_CHECK and CX_DYNAMIC_CHECK must be explicitly declared, otherwise a propagation can lead to an interface violation. A violation of the interface leads to the treatable exception CX_SY_NO_HANDLER. Exceptions of the category CX_NO_CHECK are implicitly always declared. The declaration of exceptions of the category CX_STATIC_CHECK is statically checked in the syntax check. For exceptions of the category CX_DYNAMIC_CHECK, the check is not performed until runtime. In a function module in which class-based exceptions are declared with the RAISING addition, the statement CATCH SYSTEM-EXCEPTIONS cannot be used. Instead, the relevant treatable exceptions should be handled in a TRY control structure.
The addition EXCEPTIONS is used to define a list of non-class-based exceptions that can be triggered in the function module using the statements RAISE or MESSAGE RAISING. Exceptions defined in this way - as with formal parameters - are bound to the function module and cannot be propagated. If an exception of this type is triggered in a function module, and no return value has been assigned to it with the homonymous addition EXCEPTIONS of the CALL FUNCTION statement when the call was made, this leads to a runtime error.
    <b>Note</b>
For new developments after release 6.10, SAP recommends that you work with class-based exceptions that are independent of the function module.

  • Sharepoint foundation create your own theme

    Hi,
I was wondering.. We recently had a visit from a person who have giving us a presentation of Sharepoint in our company.
That person was talking about the free version of Sharepoint -> Sharepoint Foundation and he told us that it was possible just like the normal Sharepoint version to develop an own theme.
I have been searching alot over the internet the past days but did not really found where i was looking for. My main job is developing websites (PHP, HTML, Javascript & jQuery, CSS, ...) so i could make a business theme to use in the Sharepoint enviroment.
But since there is no Design Manager in the foundation version i was wondering how i could link that self made theme to the foundation version?
This person who was here for the presentation even gave us some examples of foundation enviroments where they have completely changed the look & feel and style (metro style i.e.) and i was wondering how they have done that with the Sharepoint Foundation?
Can someone help me on the way?
    Thanks!

  • Can you save your own theme and button set up so I can use the same format

Can you save your own theme and button set up, so I can use this same format for similar content. I want to keep the button content and the theme the same without having to create it everytime? I am trying to streamline the process for multiple dvd's with the same menu and buttons but different content. Does that make sense?

I am only new to this caper too, but I am pretty sure you can save a theme as a favourite by pressing the "save theme as favourite" button under file. If you have edited an existing theme but don't want to lose it, make sure you untick the replace existing button.

  • Can you create your own Themes

Please help I'm new to iweb and I'm trying to figure out who to create my own theme, complete with my own color palette, fonts etc? I maintain my sororities website and everything has to be pink and green but I would like for our site to have the professional look iweb provides without all of the hassel of custom coding. I just need a few text pages, calendar, photo album, etc. Feel free to check out our current site if will help you point me in the right direction. http://www.akaupsilontauomega.org/
    thanks in advance.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. To create a complete theme with all the different pages takes considerable coding knowledge.
I think it would be more expedient to start with a blank page of the white theme and add your shapes, colors, photos, etc. that you want to use. Be careful regarding use of non web safe fonts. If you do it can change how the site looks when viewed by visitors on PCs which might not have that font on their machine. See the following regarding web safe fonts:

  • Creating your own theme-templates for printing?

Can I create my own theme-templates for printing?
    /BonneSwe

No, iTunes printing is quite simple and only works off it's own templates. If you want to customise templates you'd be better advised to look at on of the specialised cover printing programs that are available. DiskLabel is one that springs to mind.

  • How do you create your own theme?

I'm into astronomy and I'd like to create my own theme on my phone (6300) for when I'm at a dark site.  We use red light only at dark sites because white light ruins your night vision for longer.  How can I create a red-based colour theme/wallpaper/text etc?

Actually, the .nth files used as themes for S40 phones such as the 6300 are very simple and you don't really need any software other than a text editor to create them.
These .nth files are in fact renamed .zip files. Rename one back to a .zip file, unzip it and look at the structure. At the core of it you have a simple XML file describing the various aspects of the theme. If any media (wallpaper, screensaver, ringtone etc.) is referred to in the XML file it'll be bundled in the archive along with the XML.
Make any changes you want, zip the lot up again, rename it as a .nth file and you're done.

  • How to create your own theme?

Is it possible to create your own theme for use with iDVD?
I know there are some commercially available (e.g. www.ithemez.com), but what tools are needed to create your own?
    Thanks,
    Pete.

Actually, DVDSP has the ability to do everything that iDVD can do and much much more. The idea is to author your own themes in DVDSP, not use pre-made off the shelf ones... if you want cookie cutter design, go with iDVD. Even with the tutorials below, you are still limited on what you can do... that is a limitation built into the application itself. Perhaps a future version may change all that, but with added flexibility also comes added complexity. Some prefer keeping things simple.

  • Style Elements - defining your own ?

    hi,
I have a list of typography elements to define styles
for - can map most to 'heading1', 'heading2', 'Portlet
Header', etc. style elements in the portal style.
however, to make more meaningful names for our site -
e.g. 'Content Header', 'copy text' etc - would be
useful to define our own style elements (while still
utilising the portal's 'edit style' page - don't want
to have to resort to our own css style sheets).
I have used item attributes to force new elements on
the Item Element Type - and this will work (exposes
our own defined style elements in the style sheet, and
    allows our own naming system).
question is - are there any other ways of achieving
this? has anyone else done something similar?
also - can we rename 'heading1','heading2' etc to
    our own more meaningful names?
also - anyone else think it would be useful to be
able to specify pixels as well as point for font
    size?
    thanks

    - I edited the theme.css and theme_V2.css and changed all .t9 to .t109
    - I copied the theme inside APEX:
