Cannot save a changed form

This happened to my most complicated form in Access 2007.
When I try to edit the form in design view, if i make any changes and then try to close the form the dialogue asking if I want to save the changes appears.  The only way to close the form is to click No.  If I click yes or cancel the form stays
open.  Also, I cannot rename the form in the Navigation pane.  The option is there, but the change is ignored.  Also, I cannot use the ofiice button save as to get a copy of the form.  This problem only occurs on this one form.  Solution
of last resort:  recreate from scratch.

Drat!  I was going to suggest decompiling next.
> Very frustrating and an absolutely critical database...
If you can import the *data* from the corrupted database, and you have a
backup that contains uncorrupted forms and reports, maybe you can reassemble
a working database by combining the two.  Unfortunately, if you've done a
lot of development on the forms and reports since you made that backup,
you'll have a lot to redo.
If that isn't a workable solution, I'm out of suggestions for things you can
do yourself.  Seeing as it's a critical database, I'd suggest you contact
one of the professional database repair companies.  I know of two with good
reputations:
    PKSolutions:
http://pksolutions.com/t4.htm
   Everything Access:
http://www.everythingaccess.com/accessdatabaserepair.htm
Neither of those will charge you anything if they can't repair your
database.  I'm sure there are other companies that do similar work, but
these are the ones with which I am familiar.

Cannot save contact changes in outlook, always reverts back to what it was
    before.

    Hi
As per the information and details provided by you, to save the all contacts in Outlook, please follow these steps: -
By default, when you double-click on a contact in Outlook, the new
Contact Card displays for that contact. The Contact Card does not contain all the fields from the full contact editing window that opens when you create a new contact.
    The
Contact Card also displays by default when you search for a contact. You can still open the full contact editing window when editing a contact or when searching for a contact. To switch to your
Contact folder, click the People link at the bottom of the
    Outlook window or press Ctrl+3.
I hope this information will be helpful for you.

  • InfoPath Cannot Save The Following Form - SharePoint 2013

I've setup my SharePoint 2013 farm to allow to support InfoPath Services, however when I try to publish a form I keep getting the following error:
InfoPath cannot save the following form: https://pathto.com/form/library/file.xsn
Network Problems are preventing this file from being saved. If this problem persists, contact your network administrator.
I've confirmed there's no firewall between my Windows 8.1 workstations (where I'm running InfoPath 2013 from) and the Windows Server 2012 server that's hosting the SharePoint 2013 farm. Any insight would be much appreciated.

    Hi,
I recommend to verify the things below:
Check if the WebClient service is started. If not, start the WebClient service.
Use another user account to publish the InfoPath form to see how it works.
Check if the form library is a valid library in the browser. If not, publish the form to a valid library.
Check ULS log for detailed error message.

  • Infopath cannot save the following form - this document library was either renamed or deleted

    Hi there,
I'm working in InfoPath 2013, using a remote desktop connection to a Windows 7 machine publishing to an on-prem SharePoint 2013 server.
When creating my form, I go to publish it to a form library and get the following error:
InfoPath cannot save the following form http://myformlocationandname This document library was either renamed or deleted, or network problems are preventing the file from being saved. If this problem persists, please contact your network administrator
I've tried updating a library, creating a new library, but neither work. I can however, edit a list and customise the form to then publish back without a problem.
If anyone could offer any advice, I'd be very grateful! :-)
    Thanks very much,
    Alex

  • I cannot save any changes without renaming

Acrobat X Pro - Windows 7 - no matter how slight as change (e.g., rotate a page, insert or delete a page) I cannot save the document without being forced to rename it thereby necessitating deleting the old one and always having to creat new names - terribly irritating and this did not used to happen.

From what I have seen it may be necessary to re-install Adobe to see if that fixes the problem. However, I would first check the processes in "msconfig" in Windows to ensure you do not have an issue with multiple instances of Adobe running at the same time. There may also be another Adobe program running in the background that could be causing this issue. I have researched online and could not find a specific fix to this issue except from what I found about re-installing Adobe and seeing if that fixes the problem. I would also first try to close all programs and processes that are not needed and see if that works, if it does then one of the programs is interfering with Adobe to handle the processes you are trying to complete. As everything else seems to be working OK I tend to lean towards an update or another program that has been installed conflicting with Adobe. I will continue to look into this issue as I have not seen it before or maybe someone else will also have some insight on how this can be corrected.

Check the enabled and readOnly property of the InteractiveFormUI element in your application.
enabled should be true and readOnly should be false.
Also just FYI interactive forms are licensable in Productive environment for which you need Adobe Credentials. You may contact SAP Account Manager and Note 736902 for it.

  • Cannot save data in form create in acrobat

We have a form created in Acrobat 9 pro and it is setup so that it can be filled out and saved in Adobe Reader 11. We use this form on our small business domain and most of the time the form will save but lately we see an error that tells us very little just "Unexpected Error Occurred" and then no matter what you do you cannot save the form data. It's setup with a master form, then they save it individually by a new name. When this error occurs we just can't save it, nor can we print it! It's as if the data isn't there any more. I'm not sure what is happening but was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this.

    Hi,
First of all, check the PDF producer of your form. Open Form in Acrobat -> Go to File -> Properties -> Look for PDF Producer in "Description" (Tab).
    1. If your form is created by Acrobat then Reader XI should be able to save the form.
    2. If it is created by LC Designer then you need extend the rights for Reader in the form.
    For Acrobat 9 Pro --
Go to Advanced > Extended Features in Adobe Reader

  • I cannot save any changes made in the Preferences box. I go to Edit, then Preferences. When the window opens, I can check or uncheck boxes in the General window BUT, there are no Cancel or OK buttons at the bottom of the window. HELP!!

There are no "Cancel" or "OK" buttons at the botton of my "Preferences" box that allow me save any changes that I might mak in the "General" window.  The box opens without problem and changes can be made in the "General" window however, these changes cannot be saved.  If I close the window with the "X" in the upper right hand corner and then reopen it, any changes made are lost.  I'm running Windows XP and would appreciate any help that I can get.

I would like to change the "When you insert a CD:" option
Oh good, that one's pretty straightforward. When you make that change in the pane, the OK is the active button. For example, I just quickly changed mine to "Import CD and Eject", and you can see that the OK button is blue in my screenshot:
... so to make that setting stick, all you need to do is to hit your "Enter" key, and that should press the OK.
Unfortunately, I don't have any music in the iTunes library on the PC I'm working from at the moment. So I can't check my "Automatically download album artwork" checkbox.
Ed, could you check for us which item is active after changing that setting? (If it's the OK button, then hitting enter should press the invisible button, just like "When you insert a CD".)
Changing "Import Settings" is trickier, because after you get out of the "Import Settings" subdialog, the "Import Settings" button is active. So you then have to hit the tab key precisely five times (to get OK active again) and then hit Enter to get Import Settings changes to stick.

  • I cannot save a fillable form for future use. It wont open in preview either...what do I need to do?

I am a paid subscriber and have a fillable form that I want to save and pick up later.
    Do I have no option?
I tried to even install a pdf driver as a printer and upon print, the fillable form says print not allowed and I have to save...and when I try to save, it says I can only save a blank form!!
What do I need to do here?

    Hi mlleslie,
If I understand correctly, you've converted a file and now want to download it and remove it from your Acrobat.com account. Is that correct? What happens when you try to download it from https://cloud.acrobat.com/files? Do you get an error?
Once you've downloaded it, you can delete it from your account by selecting it and clicking the trash can icon.
Please let us know how it goes.

  • Cannot save any changes - Microsoft Forefront 2010 for exchange is unable to perform the requested function

HI, I have Forefront 2010 for Exchange installed for an Exchange 2007 SP2 running on Windows 2003 x64 SP2. Exchange has all roles installed on the same server.
When I try to save any change on Forefront I got the following message:
Microsoft Forefront 2010 for Exchange is unable to perform the requested function. This may be because Forefront services are unavailable. Ensure that all Microsoft Forefront services are running and that WindowsPower Shell is functional
Well, our FF services are running and PowerShell is functional. I checked some forums and found some problems when there is entries in the IP Allow / Block lists in Exchange UI. I removed those entries but problem remains.
    Any ideas would be appreciated.
    Xavier Villafuerte

In my case, I was able to work around this issue by using  PowerShell directly.  For example, to run an on-demand scan for all mailboxes, this worked:
    #open EMS
    $aliases = (get-mailbox -result unlimited).alias
    Add-PsSnapin FSSPSSnapin
    set-FseOnDemandScan -MailboxList $aliases
    Start-FseOnDemandScan -EnableVirusScan $true
    Windows 2008 R2 SP1
    Exchange 2010 SP3, RU9
PowerShell 4.0 present on the machine (though EMS runs PS 2.0)

  • Imovie 11 on macbook pro get error message cannot save project changes

imovie 11 on macbook pro get error message cannto save project changes:
Please check the disk to ensure there is enough free space and you have permission to write projects. iMovie will try to save periodically, but your changes will be lost if you quit iMovie before the problem is resolved.  I have 462 GB disc space available.  I don't know about "permission to write projects".

OK - bad luck about that. I hope you weren't too far advanced into your project. Sorry to hear that repairing permissions didn't help.
When working on a long project, it's advisable to duplicate the project from time to time. In Project Library view click on your project then select File>Duplicate Project from iMovie's menu. A number will be appended to the name of the duplicate, otherwise you can rename it. A short-cut is to control-click (or right-click) on the project name, then select Duplicate Project from the pop-up menu. Duplicating doesn't take up much extra space, as the project points to the clips in the Event (or Events) and doesn't contain actual video as such (it's basically a text file which also holds information about your edits, added photos, music, titles and so forth).
Also, it's best to have a backup, such as Time Machine. It gives you peace of mind when things go wrong!

  • Cannot save or print form.

Hello I created a form using Livecycle but when I upload the form to our website others cannot print or save the form from their computer.  Please help!!  Also when the "submit" button is clicked our e-mail recieves the form but it is a bunch of code!

See your other thread. Can you post a link?

  • Cannot save profile changes

I login using my microsoft account. I cannot edit my skype profile. When it asks for confirmation password, it says I entered the wrong password. I did not. My microsoft account works fine.
Skype does seem to point to a deleted hotmail account from ages ago not my microsoft account. The hotmail account no longer exists and cannot be recovered.

I am replying since I'm new to Skype and the forum and I don't see an option for posting. This is an old thread, but with no solution given that I can find. Please let me know the solution by posting, because my e-mail address is wrong (see below).
Simply said: I have the same problem, including Skype having an e-mail address for me that doesn't work. Since Skype won't let me change my Profile (rejects the same MS Outlook password I signed in with), I can't fix the e-mail or add phone numbers to my Profile.
I'm here because I contacted Support and they've never answered. Perhaps I can't add a new comment because no confirmation message for a new user could be sent to me, because Skype WON'T LET ME CHANGE MY PROFILE!
