Define New Class Types

Hello Experts,
is it possible to create my own Class Types? When it's possible in which TA can I do that?
thank you.

Hi Daniel,
Please refer the following steps copied from SPRO transaction.
SPRO->Cross-Application Components->Classification System->Classes->Maintain Object Types and Class Types. Then click on the Documentation icon.
Defining new classifiable object types
Prequisites:
Define the object key of the object in Maintain Object Keys. You can display possible entries for the key fields. You see all key fields in structure RMCLX. If the key fields of the new object type are not in structure RMCLX, you must assign them to structure RMCLY. Structure RMCLY is embedded in structure RMCLX and defined for customers.
The key fields for entering the object key are displayed in the assignment functions in the Classification System. You must define special subscreens for the object key and embed them in the assignment screens (see Defining Subscreens).
Create a function module that checks whether the object that you are are classifying exists and is valid (see Function Module Object_Check).
If you want to classify your object in its master record, call function module CLFM_OBJECT_CLASSIFICATION from the application for the object.
Procedure for Customizing the Classification System
1. Starting from the list of classifiable object types, choose New entries.
Enter the object table and a description for the object type.
Save your entries.
2. Enter the detail data for the object table.
Enter the numbers of the subscreens for assignment functions.
Select the screens that you want to process in classes of this object type.
Defining class types
1. Select the object table for which you want to create a new class type. Go to the class types overview.
2. Choose New entries.
You see the detail screen for settings for a class type.
a) Enter a name for your class type.
This name can contain letters and figures, and must contain at least one letter.
b) Enter a description for your class type.
c) Enter the object table for the class type.
d) Select the screens you want to process in classes of this class type.
e) Define how changes to classification data are recorded.
f) Select settings for classification.
Each object type must have exactly one standard class type.
Each object type can have just one distribution class type.
3. Confirm your entries and return to the class types overview.
Save your new entry.
Hope this helps
Thanks

  • Creating a new class type in the classification system

We are wanting to classify objects in a ZTABLE.  We have a home grown system for defining our customer requirements that is used as the way for the sales people to communicate to the engineering dept. what the customer wants.  A new need has come up that seems to be a good fit to be able to classify our customer requirements.  I have been trying to create a new class type that is linked to our ZTABLE.  However, even though it looks like we should be able to do this I have not been able to do it.  I ran across some documentation that seems to imply that adding a new class type used to be possible, but no longer is.
Can anyone verify that creating a new class type is still possible to do?  We are on ECC 5.0.

Can someone point me in the right direction as to how to create my own Class Type.  Is there some documentation as to how to dow this? Other than what is fould in SPRO I have tried and tried but no joy for me.
This is what I have done so far:
    in SPRO:
    1) Created an Object Key for my table ZLO_CUSTREQ.  This table has a primary key of CRQNR (custormer requirements number which is I created)  The documentation says that I need to add this key field to structure RMCLY (I did that).  BUT, it also says the RMCLY is embeded in structure RMCLX and it is not.  Do I need to modify RMCLX to add RMCLY as an append structure?
    2) Went to Maintain Object types and Class types and selected my table. Double clicked on Class Types in the Dialog Structure tree, which displayed an empty list of class types.
I then Clicked New Entries button and filled in the fields: Class type(Z10), Description(Customer Requirements), Table(ZLO_CUSTREQ).  in the Screens group I selected Keywords and Characteristics.  In the Functions group I selected: Standard class type and Multiple classifications. I then Clicked the back arrow.  This returned me to the Class Types list which now displayed my new class type.
When I click the save button it kicks me out the the SPRO menu screen and I get the warning message "Class type Z10 does not have the classification status incomplete system" .
Then, it won't let me re-enter the Maintain Object types and Class Types screen due to an error "View cluster is already open, go back with F3"
When I hit F3 I am returned to the main SPRO screen.  After navigating back to the Maintain Object types and Class types I continue to get the View cluster already open error.  The only way I can get back to Maintain Object types and Class types  is to completely exit SPRO and start over.  When I do, class type Z10 is gone.
I have repeated this procedure several times with always the same results.
    Can anyone please help me?

  • How define new project type SAP CRM

    Dear All,
How we can define New project type required when creating the Lead in SAP CRM.
    Screen shot attached.
    Regards'
    Kumar

    Dear Suma,
Why do you need BAPI for creating Business Partner. You can do that by using standard transaction "BP"..you can create the business partner of type "Person", "Group" or organization.
You need to do some of the following configurations (as applicable) for the Business Partner:
    <b>Number Range:</b>
       Define Number ranges
Assign Standard Number Range to Groupings
<b>Middleware Setting for Transferring BP from CRM to R/3</b>
Setup the Function Modules in the table CRMC_BUT_CALL_FU through transaction SM30 transaction in CRM
Setup the Function Modules in the table COM_BUPA_CALL_FU through the transaction SM30 transaction in R/3
<b>Set up of Custom Roles and Relationships</b>
            Define the BP view
         Create BP Roles
         Creation of Role Categories
         Creation of Relationships
Configure Field Attributes for Each BP <b>Relationship Category
    Creation of Partner Functions
    Creation of Access Sequence</b>
    <b>Maintain Title
    Define Salutation
    Define Partner Determination Procedure     </b>
Assign Partner Determination procedure to Transaction Type
         Assign procedure to item categories
<b>Define cutomer price group (Customer Credit Tier)
    Define Customer Group     </b>
    <b>Business Agreement     </b>
         FI CA Activation in CRM
Define No. Range for Business Agreement

  • Creating a new "Class type" in release procedure.

    Hi guys,
how can I create a new <b>"Class type"</b> in release procedure?

    Hi,
But I do not know why anyone would create a new batch type for release strategies, it is totally unnecessary and provides no additional options. The class type indicates which objects can be classified and there is already one for release strategies.
You can create a new class or add characteristics to the existing class used in the release strategy anyway.
Ther is also NO WAY that two classes can be used in the release strategy and this new class type would not change this either???

  • Defining New product type in CRM 5.0

    Hi Guys,
Can anyone tell me how to define new Product Type for CRM(Standalone Products) like material, Service, warranty, financing .
    Thanks in advance
    amar

    Hi Kovela,
I haven't come across any IMG activity which allows to create a new product type in CRM. Why do you want to have a separate product type. It is not so easy to create a product type because you also need to create additional attributes and set types. In general all existing product types are stored to table COMC_PR_TYPE. Also you need to maintain a separate structure (COMT_PROD_MAT_MAINTAIN_API) for each product type.
Why don;t you enhance the existing product type by creating new attributes and set types as per your requirement.

  • Define New Partner Types

    Hi,
Where and how do we define new Partner Types (e.g., KU - Customer, WK - Plant etc.) ?
    Regards,
    Piyush

    Hi Piyush,
You can go to the following path.
SPROSDBFPartner determinationSet up partner determination---Set up Partner determination for Customer master (or for any other transaction too)
Here you can see that partner types are also defined along with the partner functions we use. We can copy the partner type and create a new one.
Whenever we create a new Partner Function, the function has to be assigned to one of the partner types so that the partner function can behave as the partner type. For example if a partner function is assigned to partner type KU, then a partner of that PF can behave like a partner type.

    Hello Anu.
The PAYMENT TYPE lookup code is System access level so you cannot create a new one. What is the bussiness requirement? I believe the existing payment methods can cover any bussiness requirement.

  • Classification System CA-CL: Problems / Dumps while using a new class type

    Hi All,
You'd really make my day by helping me out w. hints or even a solution. Would reward points for your efforts...
The problem: in order to develop a class hierachy of product groups (in industry system, Rel. 6.40) I created a new class type (let's call it ZWG).
While doing so R/3 requsted me to provide info on the objects to assign to this class type as well as the transaction for displaying these objects. For Product Groups (material classes) this is object-table T023 and transaction WG24.
Furthermore the sys demands the implementation of a function module. This module's task is to check the existence of a given object as well as the locking and later unlocking in the process of classifying objects. Following SAP's naming convention I implemented and activated FM OBJECT_CHECK_T023.
After that I created a new class (FIRST_CLASS) of class-type ZWG.
I managed to assign exactly one (1) prod-grp to this class but afterwards I only receive dumps while using transactions CL20N, CL24N  to assign objects.
    The Message from ST22 says:
Assignment error: Overwriting a protected field.
    Error in ABAP application program.
The current ABAP program "SAPLCLCV" had to be terminated because one of the
    statements could not be executed.
This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.
Do I have to debug throughout thís enormous amount of coding now? :-(((

  • How to define new variable types in BPEL?

Is there a way to define a new variable type directly in BPEL, without modifying any of the WSDL files used by Partnerlinks?
Or to import an XSD with variable definitions?

It depends on what you want to use the variable for. You may not need to do it yourself. Let's assume you have a main wsdl for your service that you can't change but it has the inputs and outputs already defined.
In the middle you want to grab the input and shove it into a database table. You can create a new partner link. Rright click in the swim lanes on the BPEL page and pick the little database icon. Go through the steps to link to the db via an insert or package. You will need a db connection to do this.
jdeveloper will create the partner link wsdl and schema for you to match the table or the ins/outs of the package/procedure automatically.
Then drag an invoke onto the page and pull the arrow to your new partner link. Use the magic wand on the invoke screen to create the input/output variables.
Then you can use a transformation or assign/copy to pull the data from the input message variable of the main wsdl into the input variable of your database wsdl.
Or your situation may not be that complicated...if you click the little (X) on the edge of the box on the BPEL screen you can go through a picking process.

  • Steps to define new delivery type

    Hi ,
I want to know that, what is the complete step to define the new delivery type ,that can be use in exsiting order type to complete the sales cycle process.
    Regards

    Consignment Stock Processing:
    Consignment Stock Processing
    Purpose
Consignment goods are goods which are stored at the customer location but which are owned by the company. The customer is not obliged to pay for these goods until they remove them from consignment stock. Otherwise, the customer can usually return consignment goods that are not required.
Consignment Fill-Up: Consignment fill-up replenishes the stock at the customer site. Since the goods remain the property of the company, this process is not relevant for pricing and consequently not for invoicing either.
Create a sales order using order type KB.
Enter the required data on the customer, the consignment goods and the delivering plant.
Enter all other relevant data and save the order.
Create a delivery as the subsequent document for this sales order and, after picking has been completed successfully, post goods issue.
The underlying goods movement type is a stock transfer. This ensures that when goods issue is posted, consignment special stock is created for the customer concerned. If special stock of this kind already exists in the delivering plant for this customer, the goods are posted to this special stock.
Order type: KB (document category C: sales order)
    Std. Delivery type: LF
Item category: KBN (not relevant for pricing and billing)
Schedule line category: E1 (relevant for deliveries, uses availability check, 631 (GI consignment: lending) to post the stock into a special consignment category in the delivering plants stock for that particular customer and material)
Copy control rules for the sales doc, item category, and schedule line category.
Use trans MB58 or MMBE to check the stock.
Consignment Issue: The Consignment issue enables the customer to withdraw consignment goods from the special stock that are to be used or sold.
Create a sales order using order type KE.
Enter the required data for the customer, the consignment goods and the plant to which the goods are to be returned.
Enter all other relevant data and save the order.
Create a delivery as the subsequent document for this sales order and, after picking has been completed successfully, post goods issue.
The goods are then reduced by the relevant quantity in the special stock assigned to the customer. This goods issue also reduces your total stock.
Invoice the delivery which issues the consignment goods.
Order type: KE (document category C: sales order)
    Std. Delivery type: LF
    Invoice: F2
Item category: KEN (relevant for pricing and deliver related billing, special stock indicator W, should determine cost too)
Schedule line category: C1 (relevant for deliveries, uses availability check, 633 (GI issue: customer consignment)
Consignment returns: proceed as follows: Consignment returns enable your customer to return goods to the consignment stock that has already been issued from it.
Create a sales order using sales order type CR.
Enter the required data on the customer and the consignment goods.
Enter all other relevant data and save the order.
Create a returns delivery for the sales order (the system automatically chooses delivery type LR). The goods issue posting cancels the goods issue posting which was carried out when the consignment goods were issued. This posting records the return of the goods to the plant where goods receipt was carried out.
Create a credit memo for the consignment return you created in Step 1.
Order type: KR (document category H: returns)
    Delivery type: LR
Credit for Returns Order type: RE (delivery or order related billing)
Item category: KRN (relevant for pricing and deliver related billing, special stock indicator W
Schedule line category: D0 (relevant for deliveries, no availability check, 634
Consignment Pick-Up: The company uses consignment pick-up to take back consignment goods that are faulty or excess materials that the customer does not need. This process is not relevant for billing since the goods remain the property of the company.
It may be beneficial to have a mandatory reference such as the consignment fill-up. In addition to it copy control rules can be used to further control it. In the copy control rules indicate the document flow. As the stock is coming back into the warehouse or plant, you can specify a returns shipping point to be automatically determined. No invoice is necessary, as the goods are not changing ownership.
Create a sales order using order type KA.
Enter the required data for the customer, the consignment goods and the plant to which the goods are to be returned.
Enter all other relevant data and save the order.
Create a returns delivery for the sales order (the system automatically chooses delivery type LR). The transaction is completed by the goods issue posting which initiates a transfer posting from the customer's special stock to your plant stock.
Order type: KA (document category C: sales order)
    Delivery type: LR
    No invoice
    Item category: KAN
Schedule line category: F1 (relevant for deliveries, availability check against the stock on the customer’s consignment, 632 (Consignment pickup)
    Reward points if useful

  • Define new document type for purchase order

    Hello
I want to create a new document type for purchase ordre with also new number range.
And within my conditions, the shopping card will be generate either document type ECPO with number range 44 or document type ZOS with number range 33.
The document type is still a purchase order.
Is it possible to do that? To assign new document type for purcharse order?
If yes, is there any Badi to put my conditions of generation of my document type?
    Thank you for your help.
    Regards,
    Peggy

    Hi Markus
Thank you four your response. Unfortuntly, i do not want to create a new transaction type.
It is still a purchase order which could be visibled in standard transaction. The behaviour is still like standard PO, and could be visible in standard transaction PO.
I just want to create 2 types of purchases orders to identify them, so create a new number range and so a new document type for purchase order..
I have a condition to do "the shopping card will be created in this document type, and this schopping card will be created in this document type".
But standard document type is ECPO, and I don't really know if it is possible to create new document type for purchase order...
    Peggy.

  • Unable to define new Movement Type

    Hello Experts,
I'm new with WM and trying to add a movement type 601 to my Warehouse. I know I can do it as follows.
    SPRO>Logistics Execution->Warehouse Management>Activities>Transfers>Define Movement Types
However the issue is when I'm trying to copy from an existing record then getting error as follows.
Entry A01 A  does not exist in T333A (check entry)
Can anyone tell me what is wrong or am I missing something in configuration?
    Many thanks in advance.

you copy a movement type record which has a shipment type A, however this A is not anymore available in table T333A Shipment types.
it got probably deleted in the wrong sequence.
But in general you either create a A entry in table T333A  or you remove this A from the referenced movement type, save, and copy then.
I am not on a SAP system this evening, so I cant tell you the customizing path, not do I exactly know how this table looks like.
Usually this setting is not far away from the customizing where you are. But if you execute SM30 and enter table T333a and click then customizing button, then SAP takes you usually  to the IMG activity.

  • Create new Z-class type

    Hello,
I will classify a completely new object (such as building construction, based on new Z-table) by using the SAP class system. For this I will create a <b>new class type</b> as well and <b>new classes</b> with <b>new attributes</b>; classes and can be created, but as for now I didn’t find any way to create an own class type.
Is it possible to create a new class type (like Z01) to classify and evaluate the new object?
    Thanks for your hints.
    Regards,
    Kurt

When I go in SPRO to Cross-Application Components>Classification System>Classes-->Maintain Object Types and Class types, I get an initial view at the object table level.  If I select a table and choose the Class types level, I get to a Change View "Class Types" Overview with a New Entries button.
