Define printer for Zebra

Hi Sapfans,
We created one form in PDF-based forms for print in Zebra printers. This form has ZPL code.
After we have created in SAP one output device for this printer with all steps of the note 685571, XDC file AZPL203.
Now, when I run this form for one laser printer, we don't have any problem, if I choose the output device for zebra, I have the below error message:
ADS: com.adobe.ProcessingException: XMLFM Exception - P(200101)
Message no. FPRUNX001
I have tested other forms with others printers, run without errors. So my ADS definitions and connections seems to be ok.
Can you help me on zebra output device???
All ideas/comments are welcome.

Hi All,
I have a requirement to print company logo after executing MIGO using Zebra printer. I have added the Zebra print parameters in SAPscript and uploaded the ITF file of logo to SO10 and from there copied to my SAPscript and tried printing, there is no logo displayed. I have tried using including standard text in sapcript with help of INCLUDE text statement that also is not working. Please help me to print logo using SAPscript for zebra printers.

If I directly printing the uploaded ITF file from standard text, I am able to print the logo. But when copy paste the same code in SAPscript its not printing. Please can anybody explain why?

How do we enable cutter option in the SAP Script for Zebra Label Printer

We use Zebra Label(ZM400) printers to print the material documents(SAP Script). Could someone please tell me how do we enable the cutter option in the Zebra printer for the SAP Script?

Hi Manoj,
In Script you dont want to add any logic for Label Cutter, It should be in the Zebra printer settings if the printing is over it should cut the paper. If the print area is predefined for your material label then you can make use of standard label papers (Like 2"x4", 3"x4"....)

How to modify & use Printer Defination files for Character Mode Report

How can use & modify printer defination files for changing formats & orientation in character mode report. I donot know how to use printer defination files I tried to set the system parameter (Desformat) but it doesn't work.

I m also faced same problem that u face,
If u want to make character mode report so plz follow these instructions:
1. Set the properties of Report Name Node in Character Cell is Yes.
2. Change the mode of the System Parameter Mode is Character.
3. Goto the Layout---> Main Section Properties and set the Character Report Width and Height like 132 and 66
4. Create Formula Column and write this code "RETURN(CHR(14));"
5. Goto Layout Model and map this formula column into Header of the Body Like If ur Company Name is "ABC COMPANY" attached with field and map Formula Column.
5. Goto Printer Definition File DFLT.prt open in NotePad and set width and hieght that u set in Main Section of Report.
6. At Last u Run the Report with Some System Parameter or User Parameter and View as Character Mode Report.
In My Case I used EPSON LQ2180 Printer

Command to move content left/right in Smartform label for zebra printer

Issue : Command to move print content left/right in Smartform label for zebra printer.
Requirement : If you changed the printer setting top position and left position, Print should start from a specific (X,Y) position.
I am facing an issue while printing a smartfroms in different zebra printer. We had tried all
S_LZPL_SETUP_X (Where X is LH/SPD/MD/PM/FT )
But these command are not working in smartforms.
We had used ZPL II printer command like u2018LH X,Yu2019 and u2018FT,X,Yu2019 in main window as well as in subsequent windows. But that also not working.
Please advice.

Hi,
If you follow notes #750002 and #750772 and use a smartforms and device type LZEB2, then the you cn just adjust the position of the text in the smartform. e.g. Use tab-stops, spaces or adjust the position of the window. There is no need to use ZPL2 commands directly.

Hi,
In the Functuion module 'OPEN_FORM' you can give set DEVICE as a PRINTER and in that you have one more exporintg parameter called OPTIONS in that you can pass printer name directly
OPTIONS-TDPRINTER = printer name
width and height for a form .
Thid is depend upon the page format you select in the basic settings.
If you want to have particulaer size then look into the pageformats avialble and select suitable one.

Hi, you need to install Label Design for mySAP otherwise you will not understand these control codes.
Also you need to read Note 179534 - Label printing with Zebra printers (SAPscript).

BarTender for Zebra Barcode Label printing using Smartform

HI Experts,
Does anyone know how to use BarTender 7.10 software to create barcode labels for Zebra printer?
I have to include a jpg Logo into the Label using BarTender.
But when I test using the Zebra printer - the logo/picture won't print out.
Any idea?

Hi There,
I had problems with using Bartender when I tried to print a logo onto my labels, but I contacted a [labelling company |www.iidsolutions.net] who specialise in barcode label printing and the bartender software, they sorted out my problem but then after a chat with them I decided it would be easier to get them to print the labels for me as I had loads of changes and they were quite cheap. See if they can help you. :~)

1. smartform is not printing on zebra printer
2. suggest me if there are any ways to print smartform on zebra printer
3. does it requires any native programming language for printing labels on zebra printer

hi Krishna,
This printer does not support ZPL2 so I thnk you cnnot use the device types like LZEB2. It should work to print via windows and a device type like SAPWIN or SWINCF.

Header text not printed for scheduling agreement

Hi All,
I have issue with header text print out for scheduling agreement (SA).
In SA when I am manually writing some note and then taking print out, system is giving me correct output with maual note.
I have one standard text (ST) which I need to be printed in evry SA, so in SPRO I created new head text for vendor and in copying rule for text for SA, I created linkage of SA header text with Vendor head text.
In vendor master, I inserted ST in newly created vendor header text.
So now when ever I create new SA for vendor system will determin header text from vendor master.
Now after creating SA when I check the SA, I am able to my ST in SA, but at the time of print out this ST in not printing.
Please let me know what could be the reson.

I dont understand about what you mean by expand.
When you a print PO, PO text (header or item) it will check to the configuration setting.
The system didnt care if its adopted from vendor master or info record, or whatever you make in the copying rule.
In your case : you create a standard text then it get copied into PO , then you set the standard text to the PO for print out, example the standard text : word is
"xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
Then in the PO the text appear will be like below(the same, because it get copied)
"xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hello,
The transactions 'Actions for Document Output' help tells me the following:
If the processing type External Communication is used for document output using SAP Interactive Forms, the following configuration needs to be done:
SRM Document (Action Profile) Form Name Format
Purchase Order (BBP_PD_PO) BBP_PO_ADB BBP_PO_ADB_PRN
The interactive forms are available in our SRM system. Still up on searching the forms for f.e. the Purchase Order definition it can not be found. Only smartforms are listed. How come?
Has the setting in transaction 'PDF-based Forms for SAP ERP' -> 'Activate PDF-Based Forms' got anything to do with this?

Hi Jay,
I tried searching for it where you should link the form with the BUS object.
Following path (PO): Cross-Application Basic Settings -> Set Output Actions and Output Format -> Define Actions for Document Output -> Action Profile: BBP_PD_PO -> Tab: Processing Types -> Smart Forms Print -> Search for Form doesn't include the Interactive forms.
I just realised: I need to add a new entry 'External Communication', would this entry be applicable for all communication methods? Thus fax + print + e-mail? And how did you go about setting it up, i suppose adding an 'external communication' entry next to the smartform entries in the std. SAP BBP_PO would be double (system wouldn't know which 1 to choose).

Inventory Management-Change designated printer for Goods Receipts

Hi,
I am trying to change the designated printer that is assigned for printing our Goods Receipts. We are on 4.6C. I have looked at all of the IMG configuration tools and have not found the one that has the currently assigned printer shown. This includes IMG->Materials Management->Output Determination->Printer Determination and the current printer is not listed.
Are there more than one way to set the default printer for the GR print function when using transaction MIGO? Where or how is the printer defined?

One way is to maintain default printer for user, in SAP menu bar select System -> User Profile -> Own Data -> under Defaults tab enter printer name in output device.

I see that printer is assigned in several places for GR output- OMJ3, MN21 and in the user defaults. Could you please let me know from where is the printer determined. Which one takes priority?

This is the sequence.
A Define Printer...at OMBR
B. Enable material doc OMB5
C. Assign form at OMBU
D. Also Assign the printer to WE01 output type in OMJ3 Tcode with combination of Plant + Storage location
E. Maintain the condition record in MN21 or NACE for individual slips or collective slips.

has done for 100 dcuments we will be able to print the vourchers at a strech ; in fb03 we are able to view all

Kindly use T code F.62 for mass printing of corrspondence .
As the corrospondece would require a programme for printing and a script for the same you will have to check the settings in the following nodes .
SPRO - financial accounting new - general ledger accounting new - business transactions - corrospondence : internal documents - make and check settings for correspondence - 1. assign programmes for corrosponence types . 2. define form names for corrospondence .
If you want any modifications in the scripts then go to se71 the give F4 and you will get all the form name application wise , select the relevant script and make the necessary changes .
