Defining Accounts Receivable Pledging Indicator ...

Hi All,
Following the customizing navigation = Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable / Customer Accounts / Master Records / Preparations for Creating Customer Master Records / Define Accounts Receivable Pledging Indicator -, I can define the Accounts receivable pledging. Particularly, I can find the field "Accounts Receivable Pledging Status".
According to the F1 guide, "The pledging status appears as additional information in the customer master record and is therefore visible in the line item and open item list." But I can't find there.... Could anyone help me?
Thanks
Gandalf

Hi Satya,
I did it, but I can see only the field "Accounts Receivable Pledging Indicator". Not the "Accounts Receivable Pledging Status
Moreover, do you know the function of the field "... Status"
Thanks

• Which custom. steps for "Accounts Receivable Pledging Indicator" (KNB1)?

Hi All,
Could anyone show me the customizing steps to set the "Accounts Receivable Pledging Indicator" (KNB1-CESSION_KZ)?
Thanks
Galdalf

Hi ,
Pledging indicator is basically used in the Accounts Receivable Factoring Process. Factoring is the process of the transfer of a receivable from the previous creditor (assignor) to a new creditor (assignee).
The Menu Path for creating the Pledging indicator is as below:
Financial Accounting > Accouts Receivable and Accounts Payable> Customer Account > Master Data > Preperation for creating master data > Define Accounts Receivable Pledging Indocator
This indicates in the master record that a customer should be involved in the accounts receivable factoring procedure. The indicator is automatically transferred to the line item during posting but can also be entered manually.
Also you can refer to the thread A/R Functionality in SAP for more details of the process.
Hope it helps

• Pledging indicator

Hello,
We have defined accounts receivable pledging indicator and also defined
in customer Master data. When we use transaction FB02, we could not see
the field BSEG-Cession_KZ. Why?
Moreover, when I checked the screen layout for screen SAPMF05L 301
the field is not there. Why?
Thank you for your help
Kind regards
Laurent

Hi,
Go to OBD2. Click on Account Group under which you have created the Customer.
Go to Company Code data and check the payment transaction tab. You will see the AR Pledging indicator there.

• Account Receivable Factoring/Pledging Process

Hi SAP guru,
We are implementing a Factoring solution in SAP ECC6.0 and would like anyoen of you to share the knowledge around SAP standard solution
- What functionality does Pledging indicator/Procedure do?
- What would be the Business Process?
- How would the system handle the factoring fee?
- If any documentation available, please share with us.
I would appreciate it if you could provide more of your expertise.
taro

In SAP, the term used for Factoring is Pledging.
You have to first activate the Pledging Procedure per Co. Code, by following the path: Financial Accounting Global Settings -> Company Code -> Activate Accounts Receivable Factoring Procedure per Company Code.
After that, navigate to Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable -> Customer accounts -> Master Records -> Preparations for Creating Customer Master Records -> Define Accounts Receivable Factoring Indicator to define your pledging indicators.
Be sure to read the IMG notes at these nodes. Also, check out this page:

• Interst calculation of Accounts receivable.

Hi,
Kindly provide the configuration stepsl for the Interst calculation of Accounts receivable.
Points will be assigned.

Hello,
Interest calculation :-
Define Interest Calculation Types:-
In this step, you create your interest indicators and determine whether they are to be used for the item interest calculation or account balance interest calculation.
Activities:-
1. Create the required interest indicators.
2. Make sure an interest indicator is entered in the master records of the required accounts.
Interest Calculation Type:-
Decides whether the interest indicator participates in the calculation of interest on arrears (per item) or in the account balance interest calculation (interest scale).
Define Number Ranges for Interest Forms:-
In this activity you create number ranges for interest forms by:
u2022 Specifying an interval of numbers to assign to the interest forms.
u2022 Selecting the type of number assignment (internal).
The system assigns a unique number from the number range interval.
Once you post an interest document, the number of the form is stored in the "Reference" field.
Activities:-
Create a separate number range with internal number assignment for interest calculation.
Prepare Interest on Arrears Calculation:-
In this step you make general specifications for each interest indicator for the calculation of interest on arrears. To do this, you make specifications for the selection of items as well as for calculating interest. You can make further specifications as to the subsequent processing of interest, output control and for posting.
Activities:-
Make your specifications for each interest indicator and make the required specifications.
Calendar type
The calendar type determines how many interest days per month and year are used as a basis for calculating interest on financial investments. The number of days in the year is used as the divisor for the interest rate to calculate the daily interest rate from the annual interest rate.
u2022 B - 30/360
(1 year = 360 days, 1 month = 30 days)
u2022 F - 28,..,31/360
Prepare Item Interest Calculation
In this activity you make the general settings for the individual interest indicators for the item interest calculation (report RFINTITAR). These include settings for selecting the items and for calculating the interest. You can also enter specifications for interest post processing, output control, and for posting.
In this activity, you generally make the same settings as in the previous activity, Prepare Calculation of Interest on Arrears. Changes that you make there have an effect here, and vice versa.
An exception to this is the specification that in the item interest calculation, cleared items are not to be considered in the interest run. If you make this specification here, in Prepare Calculation of Interest on Arrears, you will see that interest is calculated on either all items cleared or only items cleared with payment; these conflicting specifications have no effect on the settings you make here.
Activities:-
Here you define all of the settings relevant for the require interest indicator.
Define Reference Interest Rates:-
You define your reference interest rates by entering a key and a mnemonic name. All other fields are purely informative.
Activities
1. Define your reference interest rates.
2. Specify the interest rates for the reference interest rates in the "Enter interest values" step.
Define Time-Based Terms
You specify how the system determines an interest rate for each interest indicator. You can make these settings based on the currency and a validity date. Each entry is assigned a term that determines the type of interest that is calculated (debit or credit interest).
You also specify the interest rates that you want to use. You can:
u2022 Specify a reference interest rate for which the interest rate is defined.
u2022 Specify the required interest rate directly in the Premium field without specifying a reference interest rate.
u2022 Specify a reference interest rate and an interest rate in the Premium field. The interest premium is added to the reference interest rate during interest calculation.
u2022 You can graduate interest rates by specifying an amount in the Amount from field.
Activities
1. Make the required specifications for each interest indicator.
2. After having specified a reference interest rate, ensure that it is defined in the following steps.
Sequential number
The sequential number is required to define staggered, amount-dependent interest rates. Keep in mind that the same "Valid from" date is used for staggered interest rates. In addition, an entry with an "Amount from" of 0 is required.
Examples
Int.ind. Currency Valid from Seq.no. ... Amount from
01 USD 01/01/1996 1 0
01 USD 01/01/1996 2 1000
01 USD 01/01/1996 3 50000
Enter Interest Values
You specify the required interest rates dependent on the date for the reference interest rates.
Activities
Specify the interest rates for your reference interest rates.
A/R: Calculation of Interest on Arrears
The account determination is carried out via the posting interface of application 0002 (interest on arrears). The following specifications are necessary:
u2022 Account determination keys and posting details:-
First you determine which account determination keys are used. For the business transaction account determination key, 1000 (interest earned) and 2000(interest paid) should be entered. The other account determination keys (company code, interest indicator, business area) are optional. You use them if you want to define interest posting in more detail.
For every combination of the account determination keys, you specify a debit posting key, a credit posting key and account symbols (posting details). You use the account symbol 1000 for the customer posting. It is not necessary to specify an account since the posting is made to the customer account. You do, however, have to specify the posting keys.
u2022 G/L accounts:-
For each G/L account symbol, you specify the account allocation for interest earned and interest paid in full. You can differentiate the account specifications according to currencies.
Activities:-
Make the necessary specifications for posting the interest.
Regards
Ravi

• FI Account Receivable

Hello,
In FI, we have a datasource for Accounts Receivable Line Items 0FI_AR_04 that loads data from BSID(Open Items) and BSAD (Cleared Items)
My question is how do I identify that the extractor has loaded from BSID or BSAD, I mean how do I know whether a record from load is open item or cleared items. Is there any indicator or anything ?

Hi there,
Yes you can check the field:

Status of the FI item (O = open, C = cleared)

Thank you Wolfrad-
It's a good start. I think the best method in creating roles is to create the name myself and add the t-codes pertaining to that function such as cash application and credit.
I have a list of t-codes (it says all FI transactions) but I don't see credit management t-codes like FD32. Does anyone have a list of credit management t-codes?

Hi,
Some of the companies are having a practice of paying payables with the rounding off rules. This rounding of in India could be from Rs.0.01 to Rs.10.00. For examble, there is a payable amount of Rs.125125.25 this can be rounded off to Rs.125125.00 or Rs.125130.00 while making payment. The balance amount should hit the rounding off difference account.
The same things is applicable for receivables also.
Over/under payment GL can be configured by using T Code OBXL
There is an another use, for details see the below link,
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/01/a9b9a6455711d182b40000e829fbfe/frameset.htm
There may be some more reason where you need to do this configuration,
Disc. difference
Incorrect cash discount rate
To be paid without deduction
Credit memo without backdated cash disct
Cash discount period exceeded
Reduction without doc.number allocation
Incomplete payment advice note
Payment amount is different
Debit reduced not paid
Debit reduced not paid
Reduced twice
Paid not reduced
Damaged goods - disputed
Goods damaged during transport
Quant.delivered not same as order quant.
Freight charges not paid
Miscellaneous deductions
Price variances - disputed
Partial payment
Returns
Residual item creation
Trade Promotion
Payment differences on debit side
Hope it clears your doubt.

• Internal-Profit Center Accounts Receivables/Payables

Dear All,
Within a single Company Code, Profit Center 1 is assigned to Plant 1 while Profit Center 2 is assigned to Plant 2. To track inter-divisional revenues and costs between Profit Center 1 & 2 during stock transfer, Transfer Pricing will be activated using Profit Center Valuation in Profit Center Accounting.
Only Legal Valaution is turned on in FI. No Profit Center Valuation will be turned in FI.
We understand that Inter-divisional Accounts Receivables/Payables can be generated for Profit Centers if these Profit Centers belong to 2 different company codes.
Thus we would like to clarify if Inter-divisional Accounts Receivables/Payables can be generated in the scenario within a Company Code where Profit Center is assigned to Plant 1 while Profit Center 2 is assigned to Plant 2?
Prompt respose is appreciated!
Million Thanks in Advance!

Dear Suraj,
I realiee appreciate your prompt response.
I have been reading SAP HELP and forums. The internal-divisional AR/AP scenario between Profit Centers are usually between 2 Plants and 2 Company Codes.
We understand that we can Define Account Determination for Internal Goods Movements for P/L Accounts in PCA for Internal Revenues, Internal Change in Stock and Delivery from Profit Center.
Would you please give us some pointers where and how internal-divisional AR/AP between Profit Centers within a Company Code can be configured in IMG?

• Account Receivable Calculation

Hi,
I have to write a program to calculate the amount of account receivables for a customer, do I just add the amount of all the entries in table BSID and BSAD, and also what is the Debit/Credit key used for?
Please explain with more details as I having done much programming in the FI module
Thanks and please kindly assist.

Table BSID stores the cutomer open items i.e invoices raised and amount is pending to be receiced. This is shown with Debit indicator. For any reasons if customer has paid excess amount or amount paid without reference to any specific invoice it is reflected with Credit indicator.
All cleared items are shown in BSAD table.
Please refer to Tcode FBL5N with open items option to get the cutomer o/s. You may have to build the saame logic in your report.

• Accounts receivable in PA reporting

Hello everyone,
I am trying to bring account receivable as one of the key figurs in PA reporting. Is there a keyfigure already defined in SAP or do I need to create one?

Currency of reporting: USD
Accounts Receivables: Invoice Amount + Debits - Credits along with freight and Tax (These two vary because some of the freight is paid by our coompany and then is collected and some of it is paid by customer. And about Tax, we do not sell to end customers and so most of our transactiosn are tax exempt except for some European customers)

• Accounts Receivable in DTW

Hello Experts - can anyone please help with the following?
I am trying to import some BP details through the DTW. Part of the import will need to populate the Accounts Receivable field on the accounting tab of the BP record. Currently, it doesn't matter what account code I am putting in the BPAccountsReceivable spreadsheet, it seems to be using a default from somewhere else.
I did think that maybe it was because I had a code in the Domestic Accounts Payable field of the G/L Account Determination screen, but even if I take this code out, the DTW is still not bringing in the account code that I have put in the spreadsheet.
Strangely though, if I remove the code from the G/L account determination screen, and then add a BP manually, it does not default any account code into the field on the BP record!
Can anyone offer any thoughts?

Hi Stuart,
If you define the code from the G/L account determination screen then it automatically
picks the code when add the new BP manually or through DTW.
If you are not define code from the G/L account determination screen then you cannot add the
BP manually or Through DTW it shown the error message.
If you define the code from the G/L account determination screen then you want to
change the code in accounting tab at the time of BP added manually or through DTW
you can change the code it will allow.
*Close the thread if issue solved.

• Defining Account Determination for Real-Time Integr

Dear all,
I haven't understood yet about Account determination for the real-time integration of Controlling (CO) with Financial Accounting (FI).
Please tell accounting process that use this account. And give me a detail example.
Thanks so much
Minhtb

Hello
This is the new feature in New GL accounting
During allocations in Controlling, most of the postings created do not affect Financial Accounting. These postings do not update any G/L account transaction figures; they are postings within Controlling. If, however, an allocation in Controlling leads to a change in the functional area or any other characteristic (such as Profit Center or Segment) that is relevant for evaluations in Financial Accounting, a shift occurs between the affected items in the profit and loss statement. For this reason, this information has to be transferred to Financial Accounting. This reconciliation between Controlling and Financial Accounting takes place by means of real-time integration.
As a result of real-time integration, all Controlling documents that are relevant for General Ledger Accounting are transferred from Controlling to General Ledger Accounting in real time. This means that Financial Accounting is always reconciled with Controlling.
A document is created in Financial Accounting for each posting in Controlling. This means that the detailed information contained in the CO documents is always available in reports in New General Ledger Accounting. This information can be sorted by the following, for example:
● Functional area
● Cost center
● Internal order
Real-time integration replaces the reconciliation postings from the reconciliation ledger. Consequently, you do not need a reconciliation ledger.
If, however, you do not set the Reconciliation Ledger Active indicator in Customizing for the controlling area, you cannot use the reports belonging to report groups 5A* (5AA1-5AW1). You set this indicator in Customizing for Controlling under General Controlling ® Organization ® Maintain Controlling Area. The reconciliation ledger serves as the data source for reports belonging to the report groups 5A*. You find these reports in the SAP Easy Access menu under Accounting ® Controlling ® Cost Element Accounting ® Information System ® Reports for Cost and Revenue Element Accounting.
Replacement reports are available as follows:
● You find the reports in the SAP Easy Access menu under Accounting ® Controlling ® Cost Element Accounting ® Information System ® Reports for Cost and Revenue Element Accounting (New).
● You can create additional reports in report group 5A21. You can assign the report group to any drilldown report of New General Ledger Accounting using the report-report interface.
● From the report Financial Statements Actual/Actual Comparison, you can call up the report Cost Elements: Breakdown by Company Code. You find the report Financial Statement: Actual/Actual Comparison in the SAP Easy Access menu under Accounting ® Financial Accounting ® General Ledger ® Information System ® General Ledger Reports (New) ® Balance Sheet/Profit and Loss Statement/Cash Flow ® General ® Actual/Actual Comparisons.
You can define account determination for each controlling area. You do this in Customizing for Financial Accounting (New) under Financial Accounting Global Settings (New) ® Ledgers ® Real-Time Integration of Controlling with Financial Accounting ® Account Determination for Real-Time Integration. In this way, you use the same account determination as for the reconciliation ledger (transaction OK17). You can then use the reconciliation ledger reports to compare FI balances with CO balances.
Prerequisites
If you use real-time integration in at least one company code, you need to have activated company code validation for the related controlling area. You do this in Customizing for Controlling under General Controlling ® Organization ® Maintain Controlling Area ® Activate Components/Control Indicators. Otherwise, the reconciliation between Financial Accounting and Controlling at company code level is not possible.
In Customizing for Financial Accounting (New), you have processed the IMG activities under Financial Accounting Global Settings (New) ® Ledgers ® Real-Time Integration of Controlling with Financial Accounting.
Activate real-time integration for all company codes between which you want to make CO-internal allocations.
In the IMG activity Define Variants for Real-Time Integration, do not select all CO line items for transfer. If the same line items are to be transferred as through the reconciliation posting from the reconciliation ledger, select the following line items:
● Cross-Company Code
● Cross-Business Area
● Cross-Functional Area
● Cross-Fund (if you use Public Sector Management)
● Cross-Grant (if you use Public Sector Management)
Features
Value flows within Controlling that are relevant for General Ledger Accounting – such as assessments, distributions, confirmations, and CO-internal settlements – are transferred immediately. The FI documents are posted with the business transaction COFI. They contain the number of the CO document. This means that you can call up the CO document from the FI document, and vice versa.
Activities
If a document could not be transferred because the posting period was blocked in Financial Accounting or no account was found, for example, the document is included in a postprocessing worklist. You need to check this worklist regularly and process any documents in it. From the SAP Easy Access menu, choose Accounting ® Financial Accounting ® General Ledger ® Corrections ®Post CO Documents to FI.
Example
An internal order for business area 0001 is settled to a cost center of business area 0002. The document from this allocation is transferred in real time to Financial Accounting.
