Defining DataSource name in Datatemplate sqlStatement tag giving error

Hi,
I have a data template in which i want to define the datasource name in the sqlStatement dataSourceRef field.following is my datatemplate

But when I run this report its giving me error java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect
please help me...

dataSourceRef is mandatory attribute in this element
<dataTemplate name="dt" dataSourceRef="DMT_WORK_ODI">dataSourceRef is an optional attribute in the sqlStatement element

How to use one Datasource name with different pools

Hi,
I am using WLS 814 with 4 managed servers.
Our application uses (Entity) EJBs with a defined datasource name.
Each managed server should have its own connection pool pointing to a separate database.
Now I want to deploy the same EAR on all servers.
But how can I use the same datasource name across all servers?

f:ajax Tag Lib supports namespace but no tag was defined for name: ajax

We are using 10.3.3 and trying to use JSF 2.0. the war deploys correctly and we cans see it on the server console. Most JSF tags and features work but when we use the <f:ajax> tag it gives the following exception.
com.sun.facelets.tag.TagException: //C:/java/pai/NonGLSWeb/WebContent/pages/discSalesHeader.xhtml @80,112 <f:ajax> Tag Library supports namespace: http://java.sun.com/jsf/core, but no tag was defined for name: ajax
at com.sun.facelets.compiler.CompilationManager.pushTag(CompilationManager.java:193)
Are we missing something?

Generally, when you use ajax you don't need the <h:commandButton> anymore. The commandButton still does what it does even when you add an ajax tag to it.
Try adding an ajax tag to your <h:inputText> elements with the valueChange event attribute, and render="o1" like you have it. You should see the outputText update the way you expect.

Java classpath error while crawling sample user defined datasource (SampleA

Hi All,
I am trying to run the sample crawler agent provided by ultra search "SampleAgent.java". For this
I have created and configured the user defined datasource type and the user defined data source (for the NEWS TABLE) as per the readme file of the Sample Crawler agent.
I have also created a schedule for this user defined type.
However, while executing the schedule I am getting the following error:
WKG-30116: Can not find agent class "SampleAgent" from the java class path
Please let me know the reason for the error. Am I right in creating and executing a schedule for user defined data source? (the doucmentation never says that, for user defined datasource, I need to create a schedule and execute it!!)
Also, after going through some of the postings in this discussion forum I understood that I need to check my java classpath from the WK$CRAWLER_DEFAULT_CONFIG table.
In this table my the value for

How to check the Datasource name for Virtual cube

I have a report which is built on one multiproviider for which we are getting balance sheet data reporting on company code,enduser told us that he wanted to see the data on plant level...
The problem here is that I have checked the data flow for the multiprovider,It is showing as getting data from virtual cube.
So,from there It is not showing the datasource and infosource under it(under virtual cube)..so how can I check the datasource name for it,so that I can go and enhance the datasource in case the plant(WERKS) is not there

go virtual cube lavel and see the data flow with "downward & upward" option in RSA1
Go to RSA1
Select the Virtual cube> right click > display data flow> select "downward & upward"

How can I define a name in Excel using Powershell?

I know how to reference existing names using the RANGE function but how can I create a new defined name using Powershell?
My specific case involves defining a name for a single cell with a workbook scope. Just as if you were to right-click a cell in Excel and choose Define Name.
The closest I've gotten is the NAMES object for the workbook but when I "gm" that all I see is a method for delete - nothing for adding.
$xlsx = "c:\Sample.xlsx"
$excel = new-object -comobject Excel.Application
$xlb = $excel.Workbooks.Open($xlsx)
$xlb.names | gm

In Excel a Range has a name. You can create a range and name it. "Names" is just a list of the names that have been defined.
So what is it that you are asking? If your spreadsheet has names this will find them for you.
Try this:
$xlb.names|select name
$r=$xlb.sheets.item(1).UsedRange
$r.Name='all'
# now do this again
$xlb.names|select name
So now you know everything about "names" or, as us old pros say "named ranges" like in the old west.

I searched the forum, but couldnt find the answer (or in the API). In my custom tag handler, I want to know what the name of the custom tag was. Is this possible?

Hmm, that's unfortunate. Thanks a lot for your work. I had a feeling since it wasn't in the API that it wasn't possible. Here's why, and maybe they will add this feature later...
We are making our own tags for buttons on our app (the button will be an HTML table, with a clickable background, that looks like an image, but isnt).
The HTML designers want tags they can drag and drop to the screen in DreamWeaver, including visual feedback on what they dragged and dropped. So the tag <fast:blueButton>Continue</fast:blueButton> will show a blue button image in dreamWeaver with "Continue" as the text. There are a lot of parameters to set for each button, like height, width, border, etc. that will be configured in an XML config file for each button.
It would be nice if all the buttons we invent in the tld point to the same generic button class, and when the generic button class runs, sees which button called it, and gets its config from an XML file.
This way the designer could add more buttons with the tld and XML config, and no more java classes are needed. However, if a generic button is sent with a type param: <fast:button type="blue">Continue</fast:button> then there is no visual feedback in the tool (in the first case we could have set the fast:blueButton to be the image of a blue button) and it cant be picked from a list in the tool (the designer needs to remember which types exist). It seems not important to programmers, but for designers it is important.
Oh well, I will see if there is another way to NOT have tons of Java classes to support.

Sorting files by file name rather than ID Tags

Some of my files have incomplete or missing ID Tags ( a lot of mp3's from vinyl) making sorting more difficult and I typically find it more usefull to sort by file name rather than ID Tag anyway. Does anyone know how to sort by file name?

While this is not possible in iTunes right now, I might be able to help.
It sounds like you've taken care to ensure that your music is properly labeled. That should make it easy to use a third party app to tag the lot as a batch. I am aware of one application that folks around here seem to like called "Tag & Rename" that can build a set of tags for you from folder and file names. I believe it has (or had) a free demo period as well. Try a google search or check out sites like versiontracker and you will find several apps that can do the task for you.
Once done, iTunes will be able to handle the collection that has apparently been with you for some time. Hope this helps you decide on a course of action.

If you want to change template based on parameter. you have to use below syntax

Give the table name : RSOSFIELDMAP
Click on DISPLAY
click on CONTENTS 4th from last button
Give the FIELDNM : MATNR (example)
And click on EXECUTE Button
it displays all the datasource names which are having that MATNR field. Like this you can find out the comfortable business content datasource.
you can find out the datasource which is having the more required fields.
if you dont have that required fields in any datasource, then you should go for Customised Datasource.

Basic questions about PL/SQL web services and datasource names

Hi there,
I successfully generated a web service for a PL/SQL packaged procedure in JDeveloper 11.1.1.3.0).
In the web service base class the following code was generated:
__dataSource = (javax.sql.DataSource) __initCtx.lookup("java:comp/env/jdbc/dbconnectionDS");However in the weblogic server the datasource name is jdbc/somethingelse so the deployment fails at first.
What is the recommended procedure to solve this issue? The obvious solution is to manually edit the source -- that is what I did and it worked fine. However if I re-generate the web service I will lose my change. Is there a better way to do this?
Another question -- in the generated web.xml file, there is a resource-ref for the datasource. I was hoping that changing the datasource name there would help but it didn't work. What is it used for in this context?

1 - I re-generated the web service from the PL/SQL package. The constructor in CFBTestWSBase class looks likes this:
