User Settings - To Clear a default value stored by the Users

Hi All,
Are the user settings like default values will stored in any table? if so can anybody provide me that table name? I do want to clear the default COQ category value stored by all the users. If not in table, how can i clear this value?
Thanks
Mugundhan

Hi,
The settings saved for a user can be seen in SU01 - Personalization tab. You can delete the required default settings for user from Personalization tab.

I do not know how to put the values stored in the session object into the html text box

    3. If the id is correct then pulled the record of the corresponding employee and stored it in the session object.do you really need to store this in session object?
    5. Now i need to set the session values in the text field of the html form which form? in a new html/jsp page? i suggest go for a JSP
In your JSP page use JSP expression tags to put the session attributes.
    it's something like : <input type='text' name='employeeid' value='<%= session.getAttribute("employeeid") %>' >and you need to generateanother servlet for saving the details/modifications to the database.
    I think i m clear enough.
if you need more clarifications. just try it and then post your problem.

At least twice the size does not mean exactly the doubled size.
There is no contradiction between the documentation and your observation in this case.

The events of BDT can be used to default some fields on creating a partner.
For this create a function module for ISDAT. attach that event in BUS7.
In the ISDAT funtion modulethe following code should be used.
For example to set the nationality:
    I_BUSDEFAULT-NATIO = 'DE.
    CALL FUNCTION 'BUP_BUPA_FIELDVALUES_SET'

  • Issue with Popup LOV field not clearing out "default" value

    I am using APEX 4.0 & Oracle 10g
I have a form that displays a default value on a "Popup LOV" field (say P1_POPUP) when the Form is initially displayed to the user. The default value is part of the Popup LOV list of values. If the field is "manually cleared" *i.e. I clear the default value by backspacing and don't touch the LOV) and I Refresh (submit) the form (REFRESH button to display the same Form again), the default value is still displayed.
In Post Processing, I debugged the value of P1_POPUP to see if holds the default value and yes it does. I was expecting no value in P1_POPUP.
Is this an APEX standard behavior?
Any way how I can get rid of this value on an manually clearing action of this Pop Up field?
    Looking forward for your response.
    Thank very much in advance.
    Ed.

I apologize, the default value was NULL indeed. However, it seems like I may need to manually clear this value so that it will not be displayed.

  • What is the best way to implement default values stored in a DB table?

    [JHeadstart 10.1.3 build 78]
    [JDeveloper 10.1.3 SU4]
We are struggling on how to best implement default values that are stored in a DB table. What we have is a database table with (CODE_TYPE, TABLE_NAME, COLUMN_NAME, DEFAULT_VALUE) as columns. This way the application administrator can administer default values himself/herself. Now we need to find the best way to set these table supplied default values in new rows. Globally we are aware of two ways:
    - override create() method on VO
    - probably create a View Object on top of the database table with default values (we are capable of transposing the table and return exactly one row with a column for each default value) and use JHeadstarts item property 'Default Value'.
We prefer the latter, since this is more declarative, however we struggle with the EL expression needed to indicate the default value.
If we have a VO named "DefaultValues" with a SELECT on a view on top of our database table (transposed) returning exactly one row, let us say:
    SELECT orglanguage, orgtype, orgstatus [...]
    FROM v_default_values
    --> returning exactly one row
and we want an EL expression on an item that needs the value from orglanguage. What will the EL expression be? Something like:
#{data.DefaultValuesPageDef.currentrow.orglanguage.inputValue}? We tried several things but they do not work. A static default value works, but every EL expression so far does not. We know that using "data" can be dangerous, but thought JHeadstart takes care of preparing the other Page Definitions, so it might be possible when you use JHeadstart.
Or is overriding the create() method the preferred way? Or do we have to look at a Managed Bean for our default values that we refer to from EL (let us say MyAppDefaultValuesBean) and in that case: how do you associate a Managed Bean with a VO?
Any help would be appreciated. Apart from these default values, things are going rather well in this first J2EE/JHS project for us!
    Toine

    Steven,
Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately whatever we try, we cannot get it to work. We started looking at the second option (since we do need default values also in table lay-out new rows). We created a DefaultValues ViewObject, added it to the Application Module, added an EL expressiona to the Default Display Value property (replacing your ending ")" with a "}" offcourse ;-)), ran the JAG so that a page definition was generated for DefaultValues and we managed to get it prepared when loading for example the Organisation's jspx page. However no default value appears in a new row (not in Form, not in Table layout).
I then created a quick application on top of the HR schema, added a DefaultValues ViewObject using one calculated attribute (set Salary fixed to 1000), added the EL expression to the Salary Default Display Value property in the Employees Group, made sure the DefaultValuesPageDef is prepared by adding it to the parameter section and I see it getting prepared. I also see a managed Bean is created in the Employees-bean.xml.
In the Embedded OC4J log we see:
    16:01:01 DEBUG (JhsPageLifecycle) -executing onCreate
16:01:01 DEBUG (JhsPageLifecycle) -CreateEmployeesDefaultValues bean found, applying default values to new row
2006-08-02 16:01:01.825 WARNING [ADFc] Warning: No Method onCreateEmployees and no actionBinding CreateEmployees found.
Is it this warning we should be worried about? Since no default value is created.

We do not understand what is wrong and why the default values do not get created in the new rows (and it is taking us far too much time). Any chance the EL expression is still wrong? It is a shame that any syntax errors in EL expressions are not visible in some logfile. It looks like when EL expressions are wrong, they are ignored instead of raising an error...

  • How can I get a default value to show the name instead of the ID.

I have a field with with a LOV that works great! It displays first & last name and returns the ID to the field.
The problem is the users want the first & last name to automatically default in the field without selecting from the LOV. However, I still need to store(return) the ID.
Also are application users username and passwords case sensitive?

Angie, Can you provide some more details.
This is a popup LOV correct? So the field in question is the source database column or is it static or what is it currently?
I am not sure if I understand your business rule of "automatically default in the field without selecting from the LOV" if that is the case why select from the LOV.
None the less try this.. Here is what I am assuming you would like: a value is set on a previous page or throughout yoru application when you arrive on page X a LOV is there that could have it's value derived from an item on a previous page.
So your LOV query should be like this
select a,b from your_table where foo = 'abc' OR :ITEM_VALUE_OF_LOV
make sure you add the "or clause" on your query otherwise the LOV will display the numerical value in the LOV and not the display value
If your LOV source column is a database value and you want to override it in essenece with your default value you can do something like this:
set a pl/sql process on load to:
    select value into :P_ITEM_VALUE_OF_LOV from table;
or you could set your source used as "only when null" and set a default value within the element as well..

  • Default value determination at the sales documents

There are different types of delivery or billing blocks at the sales document header (such as "02 - Political reasons", "01 Credit limit" and etc....). There exist other types of selectable issues at the sales, delivery document or other types of documents. How can I have a default value that I have etermined before? How is this determination or assignment of default value can be done? I don't mean a user spesific default value.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
You can try to use the item category (in SPRO), billing block field. Select a billing block in the item category, and this will put default billing block when a sales order is created.

  • Where is the UniqueID value stored in the SharePoint database?

I'm trying to find where the 'UniqueId' field is stored in the SharePoint database for a list item. Not the GUID, but the UniqueID. This value is usually formatted like [ID#;GUID]. The guid here is different than the item guid.
In the documentation the column has a description, 'Lookup to a GUID for an item.' ( http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd961684(v=office.12).aspx )
but I can't find it in the database.
Here is the query I tried.
    SELECT UserData.*
    FROM dbo.Lists INNER JOIN dbo.UserData
    ON dbo.Lists.tp_ID = dbo.UserData.tp_ListId
    WHERE dbo.UserData.tp_ListId = '[my list]'
This should pull all values from the AllUserData table but it doesn't list 'UniqueID' as a column.

If you have 2 lists, List A contains custom names, List B has a lookup field that points to List A. I go into list B and select a client name ("Contoso"), enter some info, and save it. On the back end, the list item will contain a value of something like:
    34#;Contoso
In this scenario the 34 is the SPListItem.ID value of that item in List A. They start at 1 in each list and increment by 1.
Also, running queries against the database directly is not supported and can take your database out of Microsoft's supportability.

The Internal order group details are found in the table SETHEADER & SETLEAF, SETHEADER-SETNAME would be the internal order group for the setclass for the order group set class '0103',

    You can use fm K_HIERARCHY_TABLES_READ.

  • How to validate and pass a value stored in the Check box to a SQL report

I have a menu(parameter form) with select lists and two check boxes(one option for DD/MM/YY(called CHK_BOX_MTH) and other for Quarter(Called CHK_BOX_QTR)).
If the user selects the check box for month, he should be only be able to select list of values for Month, Day and Year. The user should not be able to choose Quarter(or should be prompted with a message, "Check only one option"). Similarly if Quarter is chosen, DD/MM/YY should be disallowed.
How do I code this validation in HTML DB and where would it reside on the item?

The only reason I am not able to use the radio group because I am not able to place the items shown adjacent to Month in the page. The From Date and To date (user enterable fields) should appear to the right of the Month radio button and quarter item to the right of the quarter radio button.
From Date : "Month" "Day" "Year" (should be displayed to the right of Month )
End Date : "Month" "Day" "Year" (should be displayed to the bottom right of
Month and above the Quarter line)
I hope I am making sense.
