  • Set delay for process in process chain (BI7)

    Hi gurus.
    Can anybody advice me on how to set delay for a process in process chain in BI7
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    If you right-click on a process in the Process Chain, there should be an option called Debug Loop. Here you can enter the number of seconds to delay a process.
    The only difference between 3.5 and 7.0 is that Option Waiting Time in context menu of "any" process is replaced by Debug Loop.Here you can enter the # of seconds for which you want your process to be delayed.
    See below:

  • To set delay in process chain using a program

    Hi all,
    We have a requirement in which the loads from nearly 15 sources (DSO) gets loaded into the Cube thro 15 process chains. The source gets loaded from the PI interface. So it might happen that simultaneously 10 loads will be started and reach the cube.
    In the cube we have delete overlapping request, so its gives a deadlock when the chains try to delete the prev. request at the same time.
    What we have planned is if we can write a program that will set a delay depending on the lock entries present for that particular cube. But still we are not sure how far this will help.
    If anyone has faced a similar issue or can anyone suggest on this would be much appreciated.
    Thanks
    Merlin

    I believe in each of your 15 local chains you have the load to Cube process.Why dont you take the load to the Cube out of the local chains and in the meta chain you could sequence the loads from the 15 ODSs so that you can have a parallel processing upto the ODSs ( assuming the rest of the local chain is used to fetch from R3 ) and then sequential to Cube.
    I dont think writing a program will help much here.

  • SendToPrinter delays when processing multiple prints with Watermark

    Hi LC friends,
    We are running a JBoss turnkey LC ES2 SLB (Server Load Balancing) setup. We have a process where we merge .xml data and .xdp form-design to a pdf.
    The pdf with Watermark is achieved and printed once or twice. When we loop and print the 2 times - the first print is quickly BUT with the second print takes 17 seconds to process.
    This is the flow of the print routine
    *) PDF with watermark produced with invokeDDX
    1) convert PDF to postScript  (Service: LC Output > Convert to PS)     about 500 ms to process
    2) sendToPrinter     (prints first copy)     about 100 ms to process
    3) setValue     (add one to count and loops back to SendToPrinter)
    4) sendToPrinter     (Delays - then prints second copy)     about 17 SECONDS to process
    I have tried to print pdf without watermark. In this case the SendToPrinter only delays in 1400 ms. Can anyone tell me why LC SendToPrinter is waiting??.
    I would expect it just print by coping to printer, and therefore have no delay. Any ideas??
    A java custom component might be a more effective way, but would expect Adobe LiveCycle to handle this out-of-the-box!
    Help is very much appreciated
    cheers,
    Thomas Groenbaek

    Try a controlled test - create a new blank file, say 6 x 4 @ 300ppi with a white background and save it as a psd. Then run Process Multiple Files against this one file using the rename files option and with your watermark settings and see if it works on that.

  • Introduce delay in processing a JMS  message

    Hi All
    Looking for clean solution to introduce a fixed time delay (n minutes) in processing messages from a MQ Queue?
    The sending and receiving applications both using SOA Suite 11g JMS adapter.
    regards.

    Hi
    Thanks a lot for the suggestion. Such "time to deliver" (i.e. delay before the message is delivered to destination) is supported by almost all other providers - Weblogic, AQ, JBoss, ActiveMQ etc, but I could not find how to set it for Websphere MQ, doubtful if it supports same. Any idea?
    Also no clear documentation on if Oracle JMS Adapter supports dynamic message selector.

  • Delay message processing until after a given datetime?

    Using Service Broker, is it possible to delay a given message from being processed until some future date/time has gone by?
    scott

    Depends on what you want to achieve, but maybe you can use a conversation timer? BEGIN CONVERSATION TIMER sets up a timeout that produces a message on the local queue in the given time frame.

  • Delay not processing in new db

    Hi,
    Running 10.204
    We have several application queues (i.e. built by developers without involving the dba) that were working fine. We created a new database and imported the schemas containing the ques. Two of the three queues are working fine. But one of the queues involves delay processing. The job running against that que seems to be making its deque requests, but messages that should have been retrieved - with delay times past - are not being retrieved. If I stop the que, I start getting expected complaints from its job that the que is not enabled for deque. When I start it up, those messages stop.
    I have verified that AQ_TM_PROCESSES = 1 and that if grep for ora processes I get a ora_q000 and an ora_q001.
    Any suggestions? Unfortunately, our dba (me) is pretty clueless about queues.
    Thanks,
    Steve

    Well, I found an obscure reference to DBMS_AQADM.START_TIME_MANAGER and even though the package has no word of comment about it, I decided to give it a try. I stopped my troublesome que with its job. I issued STOP_TIME_MANAGER and START_TIME_MANAGER. I suddenly got 1 more q00 process and a new process ora_qmnc that was not there before. When I restarted things, all the old messages disappeared and things seem to be "working."
    So, is this the "proper" way to set things up for delay processing in a new database ? Will this stay started when I restart the instance?
    Thanks,
    Steve

  • Delay in processing Recurring Payments?

    Hello, Has anyone seen a delay in the processing of recurring payments (7-26-2015). I have subscriptions that are normally processed first thing every morning, and they've still not processed today.  New subscriptions (from new customers) are being created just fine - but none of the subscriptions that were due to be processed today have been yet, which looks an awful lot like a similar issue that occurred late last year: https://www.paypal-community.com/t5/About-Business/Recurring-payments-not-charged/m-p/898969#M12260 All the subs remain "active" in the system, and their "next payment" date is today. If there is another glitch in the system, I sure wish they'd communicate that to us.

    Seeing this as well.  Ill flip a coin with you to see who has the "pleasure" of calling in to support to see what they say? lol  Actually, may be best if all affected calls in so they can get something going.  Problem is, it is sunday.

  • How to delay the process?

    Hi,
      I am doing file to idoc scenario. When bulk of files came XI is picking all the files at the same point of time and sending to SAP system.  In SAP system all IDOCs are not processing. So how to slow down the processing or how to make sequential processing.

  • How to delay background processing

    Hi,
    I am writing a submit statement in the Delivery Order exit USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE. It triggers on saving the Delivery.
    The submit statement calls my Z Program in background (Im using Job Open and Job Close).
    My requirement is that once the submit statement is executed, the cursor should come back to my driver program (User exit) and save the delivery document.
    The background Z program should get triggered after say 5 minutes only on the condition that a delivery document exists for the particular delivery.
    Could someone tell me how to write the SUBMIT statement to send my z program in background and ask it to start/release after a lag of 5 minutes.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Shobhit

    Hi Shobhit,
      Try the below way. Pass what time you want to start the
      job(time & Date ) to job close.
    IF V_DATE > SY-DATUM OR
         ( V_DATE = SY-DATUM AND V_TIME >= SY-UZEIT ).
        CALL FUNCTION 'JOB_CLOSE'
             EXPORTING
                  JOBCOUNT             = V_JOBNUMBER
                  JOBNAME              = V_JOBNAME
                  SDLSTRTDT            = V_DATE
                  SDLSTRTTM            = V_TIME
                  TARGETSYSTEM         = SY-HOST
             IMPORTING
                  JOB_WAS_RELEASED     = V_REL
             EXCEPTIONS
                  CANT_START_IMMEDIATE = 1
                  INVALID_STARTDATE    = 2
                  JOBNAME_MISSING      = 3
                  JOB_CLOSE_FAILED     = 4
                  JOB_NOSTEPS          = 5
                  JOB_NOTEX            = 6
                  LOCK_FAILED          = 7
                  OTHERS               = 8.
    Dynamically if you want to give option to user when to
    schdule job use the below and pass the particular time and date.
    CLEAR I_HELPVAL.
      REFRESH I_HELPVAL.
      I_HELPVAL-LENGTH = 8.
      I_HELPVAL-KEYWORD = 'DATE ( YYYYMMDD )'.
      I_HELPVAL-VALUE = SY-DATUM.
      APPEND I_HELPVAL.
      I_HELPVAL-LENGTH = 6.
      I_HELPVAL-KEYWORD = 'TIME ( HHMMSS )'.
      I_HELPVAL-VALUE = SY-UZEIT.
      APPEND I_HELPVAL.
      CALL FUNCTION 'HELP_GET_VALUES'
           EXPORTING
                POPUP_TITLE = 'Batch Job - Enter Date and Time'(023)
           IMPORTING
                RETURNCODE  = V_REL
           TABLES
                FIELDS      = I_HELPVAL
           EXCEPTIONS
                NO_ENTRIES  = 1
                OTHERS      = 2.
    Hope this is useful.
    Thanks&Regards,

  • Report for delay in Production

    Dear all,
    In cases of any change in the production plan after the release of the process order, we delete the process order and revoke the same whenever we plan to produce the same, otherwise the originally assigned batch no, is skipped by the system. By doing this, whenever we run the COOISPI report, the start date of the process order is shown as the original creation date before deleting. This has been highlighted by the auditors many times as delay in processing, which actually is not the case. Pls clarify whether the report can show the date of last revoke as the creation date OR is there any report which shows the date of deletion and revoke of the process order so that auditors have a trail.
    Regards.
    Rishi

    Hi,
    There is no standard report which can give you startdate as the revoke date. What you can do is inform the team doing revoke to update the revoke date as the start date. They have to do it at the time of revoke. This can be done as in normal business scenario there will not be many revoke orders.
    Hope this will help.

  • Complaint: very delayed BT order - engineers miss...

    Can anyone advise me on the best way to proceed on this issue below? Essentially we placed an order with BT nearly 6 weeks ago and after a series of missed appointments/ones where the central work had not been done for the line to be ready we still don't have a phone line let alone an internet connection.
    Each time an engineer's appointment is missed or they turn up and can't do anything we have to wait weeks for another appointment. They also invariably log the appointment as "customer's property not ready" and "customer not present for appointment", when in fact central work was not ready and the engineer just did not show up.
    Clearly we would have taken our business elsewhere long ago if we could, but as I understand it any other provider would have to contract BT to lay the line to our property anyway so switching would just delay our process further.
    Any idea how to solve this or complain effectively? Does BT offer compensation for missed appointments and delayed services? 3 weeks without phone or internet is very inconvenient/expensive for us.
    The irony is that with no phone line or internet it's very hard to investigate/contact BT/complain. I'm currently trying to use a BT openzone which keeps cutting out and losing this message.
    Thanks for any help you can give.
    Enquiry reference number: XXXXXX-XXXXXX
    Order number AXXXXXXXXX.
    Situation:  had engineer's appointment 0800-1300 23/10/2012 to install line at property. Engineer missed appointment, yet was logged as customer not present for appointment. We were present at flat all morning and no engineer came.
    Background:
      -  order first placed 14/09/2012, XXXXXXXXX, agreement that line would be installed free of charge and internet connection ready 01/10/2012
      -  original appointment for 01/10/2012 1300-1800, missed by engineer and no contact from BT to apologise/acknowledge this.
      -  Chased missed appointment on phone and engineer came next day, but couldn't do connection as work at the exchange not complete.
      -  Engineer next came 09/10/2012 but couldn't get a connection from phone sockets. Traced a wire around flat to behind a shelf. Said he would return for another appointment if we moved the shelf first.
      -  Next appointment booked for 23/10/2012. Despite complaints about previous missed appointment and previous appointment where exchange work was not complete, was told could not get an earlier appointment.
      -  Engineer did not come for appointment on 23/10/2012. We had spent evening moving all furniture away from walls to allow access and flatmate not left the property all morning or afternoon.
      -  1600 on 23/10/2012 contacted BT about missed appointment and told that the engineer logged it as attended but customer not present at the address. Received a text saying "We're sorry you missed your appointment". Spoke with Shiva Pasasad in Order Management Department - Complained about missed appointment and the fact that we had been blamed, was apologised to that we were unhappy but told there was nothing that could be done and the next available appointment was 08/01/2012 (8weeks after order placed). Complained further and told that order would be put through to engineers faster, and that it should be done within the next 3-4 working days but that we could not have an exact date. Would receive no apology and could not contact the engineer department directly.
      -  Now awaiting another call within next 48hours to explain what will happen next.
      -  We are a flat of four young professionals and one 5th year student. One of the professionals is self-employed and requires an internet connection for his work. The medical needs internet for studies. Each appointment has required half a day or more off work at considerable inconvenience. Delays to our order (current 3 weeks since we were told we would have a phone liner and internet connection by the sales team on placing the order) have caused considerable inconvenience and cost.
    Assessment:
      -  Firstly, a failure by the sales team where we were told on placing the order that we would have an internet connection available on 01/10/2012, but later told by another team that we would have to separately order an internet connection after our phone line went active on 01/10/2012 so it would take longer.
      -  Secondly the engineer did not turn up to 01/10/2012 appointment. No apology was received nor compensation offered for the half day of work lost. Engineer came the next day at only hours' notice on 02/10/2012.
      -  When the engineer came on 02/10/2012 they could do nothing as they said central work either on the part of the BT accounts team or the exchange (this was not made clear) had not been done. Again loss of work time, considerable inconvenience, and further delay to us having a phone line or internet connection.
      -  After the appointment on 09/10/2012 the engineer had to leave before completing the job - could not get a follow up appointment for 14days afterwards, at which stage it was 5.5 weeks after placing the original order .
      -  Engineer did not come for appointment on 23/10/2012 - yet was logged that we were not present which was incorrect. On complaining of this to order management was told that we had not been present at the property which was incorrect and what we were complaining of. No apology for missed appointment given nor explanation.
      -  Next appointment not available to 08/11/2012. Order put through to a team, and told would hear back with 48hours.
    Recommendation:
      -  First and foremost we would like a phone line and internet connection as soon as possible. We have now been waiting over 5.5 weeks.
      -  We would like it clarified on our file that we did not miss our appointment on 23/10/2012, the property was occupied all day, our doorbell works and our phones were switched on.
      -  We have been made to understand that we cannot go with another provider as they will need to get BT to lay a line for us anyway and that this will further delay our connection. Is this correct?
      -  We would like further explanation as to how these mistakes have occurred and an apology and compensation for work time lost, inconvenience and delay where appropriate.
    Many thanks for a speedy resolution to this issue. An internet connection really is essential to us and we have been without one now for over  5.5 weeks since placing the order, which is 3weeks longer than we were originally led to believe by the sales team when we placed the order.

    I was shocked to read HAZWYATT's complaint, because it mirrors my daughter's almost exactly. My daughter is disabled and has just been given an adapted bungalow for her needs. She needs a landline for the Careline emergency contact facility in her home. The BT phone line had been completely removed back to the box according to the salesperson who took her order to replace it. Like Hazwyatt she cannot use another supplier as BT must connect the line first. Cable is not available in her area either.  Her work was scheduled for Nov 22nd after waiting 4 weeks.  She was home. Afternoon engineer arrived to install phone, tv and BB but said could not do anything as work had not been done outside. Left without any return time or contact details. I rang Order Tracking for her ( she has no phone! - this sort of thing is difficult on a mobile) and was given another appointment for January 4th. However the operator said she would email BT Outreach for a reply on installation. Has promised to call back on Monday next - not holding my breath.
    My shock about the comparison came because the engineer had logged the exact same report as customer not being in !     Also that Hazwyatt has been given futurer dates. I can also see all the other customer complaints of a similar nature. There does not seem to be anyone to contact.    Would TV' Watchdog' relish this?

  • Sender File adapter to process each file with time gap

    Hi All,
    I have a sender file adapter which is picking 2 files in a folder. I want to delay the processing of each file by 5 minutes. For ex: PI should process the first file, then wait 5 minutes and the process the next etc.  Is this achievable ?
    Is there a way  to create 2 sender agreements if I create 2 separate comm channels for each file .
    I am using PI 7.0

    Hi Sarvesh...
    U r correct ... but i am nt wrong.... Just joking...
    S u r correct in normal cases..
    But this interface also involves BPM too.....
    Dev didnt mention the whole prblm in clear....
    The prblm is as following..
    When he runs the CC at sender , if u have multiple files, then every file will initiate a BPM instance.
    And in turn every BPM instance is waiting fr a message from PROXY....
    The proxy messages coming from the ECC are not able to go fr exact BPM instance..
    Eg: 2 Proxy message gng fr 1 BPM instance...etc..
    FYI , no correlation on the messages....

  • Delaying the message delivery by 1 hour in XI

    Hi Gurus,
    Is it possible to hold the message with in XI for a specified time period?
    As an alternate - I am developing a BPM where I am using wait step for 1 hour. I think using BPM for this purpose is not recommended as wait step consumes more resources.
    I have gone through the Blog names 'Delayed message processing'. This procedure works well if we know the start time of the job and to pick up the messages in periodic times. It is not holding the messages to be processed by 1 hour.
    Let me know if there is any other way of doing it.
    Thanks

  • Process of incoming mails including Excel attachment

    Hello Forum,
    we are looking for a possibility to process incoming e-mails including an Excel attachment.
    We are already able to receive e-mails in SAP, but we are not able to process/read the attachment in Excel format.
    I already checked the blogs of Thomas Jung and Gregor Wolf, but both didn't help for the XLS-attachments.
    Any ideas? Please help...
    Thanks
    Matthias

    Okay, so the question is not really about mail (that's just the context).
    I deduce from "Excel = hex" that you have to process native Excel files. In that case, this will be an issue as SAP doesn't offer software to decode native files.
    From ABAP, the only possibility is to use OLE2 (ABAP statements CREATE OBJECT ... OF, CALL METHOD ... OF, etc.) but that can only work when code is executed in dialog workprocesses, that is not the case here as you are processing inbound mails.
    So, I think you can only:
    1) ask users to save Excel files as any text type (CSV, XML...)
    2) delay the processing of the native excel files, users will have to later launch online (dialog) transactions that will read these files using OLE2
    3) get a specialized software (free or not) to read native Excel files
    4) Install a server (Microsoft OS) with Excel installed (licence cost probably), which will be called by SAP to decode the file and return the result
