Delete after spool at any case

hi to all experts.
Lets say I have print window displayed.In that I made default as 'Delete after print'.User unchecks that and that spool will not get deletedI want to prevent this.what ever user settings may be,user checks/unchecks,spool should be deleted after print

pls. post ur solution.

Lockbox spool deleted after print

Hi All,
We have a issue where the user has mistakenly selected delete after print option while processing the lockbox job in background. And while printing the lockbox spoolm printer was jammed and it did not print the lockbox spool correctly (unable to read anything on print).
my question: is there any way to retrive the spool if yes how? if NO then is there any standard report which will give me same details as the spool.

OS X can natively read NTFS of Windows, but not write to it.
Windows can't read or write to HFS+ of OSX, and that's a good thing from a security standpoint.
Ideally if you share files between operating systems you should have a FAT/MSDOS formated USB key or hard drive. (exFAT external drive if any of your files are over 4GB in size) both these formats are universal for OS X or Windows.
If you install software into Windows and OS X to read each others formats, then you have to pay to update/upgrade it deal with headaches.
If you swtich between Windows and OS X a lot, don't need full hardware performance for Windows, you may consider installing virtual machine software like VMFusion or Parallels which can take a copy of your Windows in Bootcamp and place it into OS X as a file then run that copy of Windows in a window in OS X like so.
Advantage here is you run most of your light weight Windows programs like this at the same time as OS X.
Benefit is you can run just about any Windows or Linux version and OSX server editions (not client versions)
Bootcamp only allows Windows 7, that's it now.
You'll also be interested in two fre pieces of software, Carbon Copy Cloner and Winclone on macupdate.com.
CCC clones OS X partition and Winclone clones the Bootcamp partition. Valuable for you.

Spool Deleted After the Payment Run

Hello SAP Guru,
My client is having one issue quite often; the problem is after running the payment run via F110 the printing spool is getting deleted specifically for one company code; however, for rest of the company codes spools don't get deleted automatically. Interestingly, the payment run is run by the same user id so why the spool gets deleted for one company code but not for others?
I've checked sp01 and there is no spool exist for that company code.
Here is the problem: Lets say when they run a payment run for over 200 checks and printer doesn't print out the checks they can't go back to locate the spool for this specific payment run. Due to this problem they have to delete each check individual and reprint via FCH7 which is really a time consuming.
Could you please let me know why the spool getting deleted or how I can print out the 200 checks again without voiding them recreating new check numbers?

Go to SP01 or SP02 select the request and go to properties and you will get a check box - "Do not delete the spool" deselct the same and your issue will get resolve.
This you have to do before printing the spool.

In Spool Retention Period adding - "Delete After 365 Days"? Is it possible?

Delete After 3 Days
Delete After 8 Days
Do Not Delete
Question: I want to add other periods like 365...
where can I maintain it.

After upgrade to iOs 7, my new notes that I wrote on icloud or email are deleted after a week. I have to take note again and again, first i did not notice because i thought i was accidently deleted, but then a week later i lost the new notes again. Fax from computer to photosmart 7525 gets cancelled after spooling

I can fax directly from printer, but when I use the HP software or print function on the computer to set up fax and send, the progress goes from spooling to cancelled without any error notices. I have a Dell XPS 8500 running 8.1 and Photosmart 7525 connected by USB and wirelessly. They communicate just fine with the scan and print functions. Both are current on updates using the check for updates utility. I have a dedicated Voip phone line from Comcast and ther most current modem that I have slowed through the fax settings. I've spent hours reading forums on HP and Microsoft searching for exactly this issue. Please help

The truth is, I don't know what is causing the fax from computer function to fail. I understand from your description that the fax is cancelling after spooling, but that you can print and scan just fine as well as fax directly from the printer. I suspect the issue has something to do with the driver, thus I suggest we remove the driver and reload it.
Please use the following steps to delete the printer/fax from device and printers, and the driver from the server properties.
1. In the ‘Devices and Printers’ folder
2. Choose ‘Print server properties’.
Win XP – With no printer selected, click ‘File’ then ‘Server Properties’.
Windows Vista – With no printer selected, press ‘Alt’ then click ‘File’ then ‘Server Properties’.
Windows 7/8 and 8.1 – Select any printer in the ‘Devices and Printers’ folder and click ‘Print Server properties’ above.
3. Click on the ‘Drivers’ tab at the top of ‘Print server properties’ window
4. Choose the printer you want to uninstall and click ‘Remove’
5. Choose 'Remove driver only'
6. The next screen will give a warning, letting you know that deleting the driver package will remove it from the system. Click ‘Yes’ to say that you are sure you want to do this.
If documents are stuck in the print spooler, you may see an error, cancel any documents pending in the print queue, or try restarting the print spooler, then try to remove the driver from ‘Print server properties’ again. If it still won’t remove the package, restarting the computer and the printer should resolve this ‘in use’ error and allow the driver to be removed.
If the you continue to get an 'in use' message follow the steps in the document here; The Specified Printer Driver is Currently in Use
After the driver is removed, open Start > All Programs > HP folder > Printer folder > HP Setup and Software (or the printer icon).
The Setup and software screen will open and you can click on Connect a new printer.

This can be done from Single User Mode. You're going to need a little nerve though since everything is command line based.
1) Enter Single User Mode by restarting and holding down Command+S on the keyboard. A whole bunch of UNIX stuff will go by on the screen in white text on a black background. When it's done, the command prompt will be sitting at:
:/root#
2) Above that, you'll see that it tells you to enter two commands. Run this one first by typing it in and pressing enter:
/sbin/fsck/ -fy
This does a system file check. A good thing to do in your case as it may be damaged. It could take a while. When it's done, you'll be back at the :/root# prompt.
3) Enter the second command and press enter:
/sbin/mount -uw /
4) Type the following at the prompt:
cd /Users/name/Desktop
Where it says "name" above, the short name of your user account goes there. If you're not sure what it is, first type:
cd /Users
Then type:
ls
That's a lower case L, not a one. It stands for "list". You'll get a listing of all files and folders in the Users folder. So if your short account name is diane, then the command will be:
cd /Users/diane/Desktop
After entering that command, the prompt should read:
:Desktop root#
Type:
rm *.jpg
Be very careful to type is exactly as shown. rm followed by a space, then *.jpg. Press enter and all files ending in .jpg will be deleted from the Desktop folder. With 450,000 of them, you could be waiting a while for the prompt to come back.
Type:
exit
and press enter to boot back into OS X.

iCloud emails in the Trash are deleted after 30 days on the website, and this over-rides the 'never' setting in Mail. There is no way of stopping this. (The Trash isn't really intended as a permanent storage area.)
Try this workaround. Go to http://www.icloud.com and go to the Mail page. In the sidebar, click on '+' to the right of 'Folders' to create a new folder; give it a suitable name.
Now click on the cogwheel icon at bottom left. At the bottom of the pane which opens, set the 'Move deleted messages to' drop-down menu to your new folder.
I'm not sure whether, when you delete messages in the Mail application, they will go to the Trash or your new folder - you'll need to experiment. I have a nasty feeling that Mail will simply move them to the Trash as before. If this is the case you will have to move them to your new folder manually - dragging messages directly to this folder rather than hitting the delete key will be the easiest way.

Delete after output- su01 settings

We are facing an issue with user settings.
we enabled the option 'Delete after output' in Default Tab, in thought of decrease spool requests in SAP and to regulate my database increase.
User is creating large amount spools and spools are not deleting after print.

Whart type of output are the spool requests that are not being deleted?
If they are forms (e.g. Purchase orders, sales orders, invoices etc.) then the print definitions are defined by the outout conditions in the application rather than the user-specific settings. In this case you need to update your output conditions to delete after output. Speak to the business about updating these if this is acceptable.
Or is the output generated via periodic background jobs? Updating the user settings will not affect jobs already setup. If you see similar output being generated at regular intervals is probably being generated from a background job. In which case find and update the background job responsible. I have often see jobs that run every 5 minutes generating large numbers of unneccesary spool requests.
I am assuming that the output is completed? As spool requests will only be deleted if they have been printed (and that the output has had no errors, as the output will not be deleted if it has an error).

You can check with following path
SPRO> MM > Purchasing > Message > Fields Relevant to Printouts of Changes.

Sure-glad to help you. You will not lose any data by changing synching to MacBook Pro from imac. You have set up Time Machine, right? that's how you'd do your backup, so I was told, and how I do my backup on my mac. You should be able to set a password for it. Save it. Your stuff should be saved there. So if you want to make your MacBook Pro your primary computer, I suppose, back up your stuff with Time machine, turn off Time machine on the iMac, turn it on on the new MacBook Pro, select the hard drive in your Time Capsule, enter your password, and do a backup from there. It might work, and it might take a while, but it should go. As for clogging the hard drive, I can't say. Depends how much stuff you have, and the hard drive's capacity. As for moving syncing from your iMac to your macbook pro, should be the same. Your phone uses iTunes to sync and so that data should be in the cloud. You can move your iTunes Library to your new Macbook pro
you should be able to sync your phone on your new MacBook Pro. Don't know if you can move the older backups yet-maybe try someone else, anyways,

don't forget to de-authorize your iMac if you don't want to play purchased stuff there
and re-authorize your new macBook Pro
time machine is an application, and should be found in the Applications folder. it is built in to OS X, so there is nothing else to buy. double click on it, get it going, choose the Hard drive in your Time capsule/Airport as your backup Time Machine and go for it. You should see a circle with an arrow on the top right hand of your screen (the Desktop), next to the bluetooth icon, and just after the wifi and eject key (looks sorta like a clock face). This will do automatic backups of your stuff.

Sound on clips gets deleted after quiting FCP X, why?

Sound on some clips I imported from my GoPro gets deleted after I have quit the program and go back to it. However, in the FCP X events folder, the original media still has the sound in the clip. I do not understand why this is happening.
Does anybody have any advice?

One slight point about Patrick's info.
Since version 10.0.3, FCP X has been able to edit multicam and most people agree that it does so in a far superior and easy way.
I would also suggest that as a beginner you completely ignore the "Help" menu as it can be very confusing.
