Delete or stop Workflow

Hello,
we want to delete or stop a running Workflow, which is still running and running.
So we cannot stop or delete the workflow.
How can we handle this workflow?

Hi is there a way to stop the workflow from running?
So that all workflow processes are halted.
Which job, process, etc would I have to stop, delete, etc in the DB? And how to start it again?

Remi,
There are no seperate processes to monitor. The database itself is the main process.
The workflow processes are initiated and resumed using API's. If there are no such API's being invoked, you are essentially not processing any workflow. However, workflow does use the background engine to process deferred processes. These could be submitted as dbms_jobs. So, you want to stop these processes to stop workflows from progressing forward.
If you want a particular process from not getting processed, you can stop them by using the API's (wf_engine.abortprocess).

Start by deleting the configuration/Menus/Cache folder.
If that doesn't fix it, then try deleting the entire configuration folder

The delete key stopped working last night after updating both safari and itubnes.

No one has any ideas?

What does the Stop Workflow and log... action do?

I have used the stop workflow action in my SPD workflows but it doesn't seem to do what I thought it would. It doesn't stop....it goes right on to the next step!
I want to be able to say if a condition is true, stop the workflow, do not go any further, quit!
If the condition is false, then go on to the next action or step.
How do I get a workflow to completely stop even if there are more steps!

Hi Judy,
The Stop Workflow action is really stopping the current workflow instance.
The possibility of your issue is the condition does not get the value as expected.
I suggest you to put Log to History List action before the condition to find out if the condition value is correct or not.
And then do some further troubleshooting.

Rejection of Item deletion in Approval workflow?

Hi,
How to handle rejection and approval in the following situation?
- when I delete an item , it will send a mail to PM(Project manager) and If PM approved , it will allow to delete that item.
Incase he rejected his request then item should not be deleted.
How to do this by using spd 2010??

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to prevent items from being deleted in Approval workflow when the task was rejected.
Per my knowledge, the workflow created in SharePoint Designer cannot achieve this goal.
I recommend to create Event Receiver to prevent items from being deleted.

On iPad in iTunes purchased tv show during download its been processing for days, how do I delete or stop it

In iTunes on my iPad I'm downloading a tv show, it's been processing for days, I can't delete or stop it. Which is blocking anything else from downloading. I've turn shutting off but that doesn't work. It wouldn't let me tap it to stop it,

• Log out of your iTunes store account. Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
• Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
• After restart, the Waiting should be gone.

You could use the transaction SWIA to manually complete workitems. If you use the the workitem ID of the workflow instance you set the status of the workflow to logically deleted.
Other option is to use the object FLOWITEM with method statuschange to change the status to completed. Also go in there with the ID of your workflow instance.
However, my question is why you want to do this? If you're testing you could also just execute the workitem in the inboxes. Undo work which is done has to be executed manually.

Sun IDM - Stopping workflow trace into Catalina.out

When I delete a user via IDM UI or run a custom workflow, no trace of the steps of the workflow/rules has been output to Catalina.out (except exceptions /errors). But suddenly something changed .... do not know where
Now for every activity, I see the trace of the workflow/rule steps in the Tomcat output (even in case of no errors). Last chunck of workflow/rule statements and outcomes are verbosed in the Catalina.out.
I have no "block trace='true'" in the custom workflows and this happens for the activities done via IDM UI.
Please help me to stop this.

Did you check the '+System Configuration+' Object, search for trace, in the attribute "workflow" - anything set to true there?
What do you see on debug/Show_Trace.jsp?
And I think you can activate tracing for a workflow in its attributes; it is the "trace" attribute of the WFProcess or a workflow variable called "trace".
If all that fails, just look at the "System Administrator'sGuide" in Chapter 5 and go through the various tracing options.

How do I delete and stop online storage?

For the last day or so PE9 has been running terrible.
I finally gave up and went back to PE8 and it isn't running right either.
Then I noticed that it said that my online back up was full.
I have never intentionally used online backup but I'm pretty sure that what ever it is doing is why they are both running so bad.
I don't want to store my stuff online and I can't find out how to stop it from doing what it's doing and delete what's there.
It only took about 12 files to fill it up anyway.
Not ever a whole video.
I clicked on the manage your online storage and removed all the stuff but I didn't know if I should click the remove items from hard drive button.
I don't want the stuff removed from my hard drive, it they are talking about their hard drive then OK.
When I restarted the program it still said it was full.
So I'm guessing I have to say remove it from the hard drive but I don't want to risk my files until I know what I'm doing.
Both of these programs have always run fine on my computer.
I must have selected something to start this, now I just want it to stop.
It used to ask me to log in, now it's doing it on it's own.
Any help welcome.

The items you are looking for should be under the Edit> Preferences in the Elements Organizer (your first screen shot) - NOT in Premiere Elements itself (your second screen shot).
But the confusing point is that your Organizer menus are not showing !!!
I've had this myself in the past and I think it is caused either when you apply a too large a custom font size in the Window Color and Appearance dialog;
Or when you have selected a too large DPI size (or too large a custom DPI in Display properties;
If you can recall doing something like that I suggest you reset them and your menus should reappear.
For a quick workaround if you look at the following image closely you can see to the left of my red pointer arrow a '>>' symbol. If you click that '>>' all the Organizer menus will reappear as one large menu tree.
Whichever method you choose to fix the issue, the menu option you are looking for is as shown here:

Mass deletion/ transfer of workflow items - Urgent

Hi Experts,
We have a situation where there are around 1.2 million open workflow items in work flow of employee due to wrong assignment of workflow agents in PPOM. Now we need to clear all these workflow items from user's inbox either through deleting them or through un assignining them from his workflow.
It is not possible to process these workflow items individually from his inbox through transaction SBWP. I understand that we can delete maximum of 999 items at a time through transaction SWWL. This will not be of use for us.
Can some onpe please suggest how do we go about this issue.

Delete Warning stopped appearing.

Suddenly this morning the "delete warning/confirmation" stopped popping up when I try to delete a bunch of files from a folder. I didn't change any settings and have tried "resetting all warnings" and restarting the program. I am on a Mac. Any ideas on how to fix this so the warnings start appearing again?
