Delete originals in Image Processor dialog

There is numerous reason for this feature: maybe somebody have images stored at external drive and don't need more original copies stored to computer, or forget to add logo or signature to processed pictures, so when need to process only once without keeping originals or second time because you forget something it will be nice to have option to delete source images if you don't need it.

>>>I'm not sure how to report this, but there's a bug in the Image Processor script that was driving me nuts so I figured out how to patch it. This may be a Windows-only bug (I'm not sure).
var selFolder = Folder.selectDialog( strPickDest, this.parent.parent.destLongText );
with this line:
var selFolder = Folder.selectDialog( strPickDest, d.destLongText); <<<<br />
John I did your bugfix, but it did not work in my CS2. I'm still taken to the Desktop. Have you done any further work on this "bug"?
Thanks,

  • How to Disable Image Processor Dialog Box?

    Hey guys,
It's driving me nuts. I'm trying to create an action where I move image folder onto a droplet, which is image processor script and have all psd files turned to images. Howerver, each time I get the dialog box asking me input/output folder information and so on... Is there are way to suppress this popup? I'm trying to automate as much as possible, including not having to click the same button in a box each time
    hope you can help

If your using photoshop cs5 or cs6 you might look at the Image Processor Pro which records in an action as an automation plugin instead of a script.

  • Image processor error - original photos gone!

I am running CS5 64bit version 12.0.1 on a windows machine. When I select a bunch of photos to be re-sized in bridge (version 4.0.2.1) the script runs, but at each photo, it asks what level of jpeg compression to save it as.  Then, when the script apear to be done running, there is an error message that it could not process a list of files (all of them it has processed) and closes.
Problem is, it does not save anything into the jpeg folder it creates, but instead saves the re-sized photos in the place of the originals, efectively deleting the originals.  At least the originals are still on the memory card, but what gives.  Am I the only one with this error?  Is there something I can do to get it working?
    Thanks for any replies,
    Jim

Check the image processor dialog and make the destination folder different
from the original folder and not set to Save in Same Location.
If your running an action, check for save steps in the action.
If you don't want an action to run, uncheck run action.

  • Problem using Image Processor from Bridge

I have been using the Image Processor to process photos from Bridge for quite some time. However, I recently received an error message when I try to initiate Image Processor from Bridge and I have not been able to find any help topics that address my problem: I select images in Bridge to process, then click "Tools>Photoshop>Image Processor". Photoshop opens and the familiar Image Processor dialog box opens. Item 1 in the dialog box says "Process files from Bridge only" and has the number of files I have selected in parenteses. I select the file type and other settings in #3, and preferences in #4. When I click "Run", I get an error message window that says: "Script Alert. There were no source files that could be opened by Photoshop". The Image Processor works if I open the files in Photoshop first, then run it by selecting "File>Scripts>Image Processor" and tell it to process all open files.
Would someone be able to help me with this problem?
    Thanks, Larry

Usually when it worked before and not now, and you have added no new software or hardware I recommend resetting the preferences.  Hold down the Ctrl key and click on the Bridge icon to start.  You should get a reset window with 3 options.

  • Bridge to PS image processor

I've done a bit of searching but this is what I'm trying to do:
I have 9 folders (unit 01, 02, etc.) with CS3 .eps files in them. I want to rasterize these files in PS CS3. I would like to use the tools>photoshop>image processor from Bridge to do so. I was successful at setting it up but the resolution was only 72 dpi. I need a 200 dpi Lambda profile TIFF. I was able to set up an action in PS to flatten and set the Lambda profile, which I could also run from the image processor dialog - but how do I adjust the dpi?
    Thanks

    >I mean View>Actual Pixels.
Then, of course, you will see side-stepping pixels in your rasterized image that you would not see in a Vector image.
What does it look like at actual "Print Size"?
6050 x 3051 pixels would produce a print of 23.8" x 12" at 254 ppi. Is that big enough or should you be creating a larger image?
Talk to your people to see if they can run from a PDF (which would retain the vectors and only rasterize them on output at the full DPI of the Durst Lambda) but it does seem that you may need to supply a Tiff and this Info. might be helpful from:
    http://www.chromatics.com/Serv-PhotoPrints.htm#PreparingFiles
    >
Preparing files for Lambda-Direct self-service printing
    >Files for Lambda-Direct prints are imaged "as received" with no adjustments. We accept tiff and JPEG files.
For predictable results, you must be using full color-management with Photoshop 6, 7 or CS and an accurately profiled monitor using one of our printer profiles for soft-proofing. These are basic tools required for preparing files for this service and we cannot be responsible for poor results if your system is not fully compliant. Sources of good information on monitor profiling and colorimeters are X-Rite , Colorvision and Dry Creek Photo.
Files should be saved at 254 ppi at the final image size you need, saved in a standard color space, like Adobe1998 RGB, ColorMatch RGB, sRGB, ProPhoto RGB or CMYK (swop2) and tagged accordingly.
Do not convert your files to our printer profiles and do not tag your files with our printer profiles. Use our printer profiles only for soft-proofing, then save your file in one of the standard color spaces.>
    So, basically:
Prepare a Tiff file for full output-size at 254 ppi.
Use the Lambda Profiles (which you can get here):
    http://www.chromatics.com/sidebar-Profiles.htm
    for Soft Proofing ONLY.
But retain the Tiff in a recognized and tagged RGB space and let your Lambda operator apply the correct Profile in the "Print" dialog.

  • Image Processor doesn't launch

Hi, I'm using CS5 Bridge and Photoshop, and I can't get my Image Processor dialog box to launch in Photoshop when I go to  Tools>Photoshop>Image Processor in Bridge. Photoshop will launch but no dialog box appears. I have updated all my programs and reset the preferences but I am still experiencing this problem. Any help you guys could give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
              View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen. Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then take one of the actions that you're having trouble with. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.

  • Problem with Image Processor

I usually use Image Processor to apply an action on tons of files on CS2. When I upgraded to CS3, I simply copied the actions over to the new action folder. Problem is, with long actions, CS3 doesn't close each file after it has performed the action unlike CS2, leaving the desktop filled with processed photos. Also a dialog box appear at the end with the message "Sorry, I could not process the following files:(list of files)". still, the processed files are saved in the destination folder. But here's the funny thing, when I run short actions, everything is ok.
what could be wrong? I tried changing a few things in Image Processor dialog box but always get the same result. again, with shorter actions at the exact settings, the results are fine.

I'm beginning to think CS3 just isn't capable of handling long actions. Just to give you an idea what I'm doing is watermarking my photos with 3 items: a text logo, url and name. each of them consists of the same steps with the difference only being on their shape, size and position. so you can imagine 3 separate actions combine into 1. to test out my hypothesis, I deactivated 2 of them and tested for each one without any problem. next, I combined any 2 and failed. so my conclusion is CS3 just can't handle long actions as well as CS2.

  • Weird image processor issue in CS4

All of a sudden this week, both of my computers stopped being able to image process via bridge > ps.
    Repro steps:
    1. Select RAW image(s) in Bridge.
    2. Tools > Photoshop > Image Processor
    Expected results:
Image processor dialog opens in PS
    Actual results:
Window switches over to PS, but nothing happens.
    Anyone else see this?

Suggest to check the files you used. If the files contain duotone or multichannel mode, then the message "Sorry, I could not process the following files" will appear.

  • Image Processor resolution

I've done a bit of searching but this is what I'm trying to do:

Not that clear what you mean, but you can either set this in the image processor settings or record it in the action.
There is however a difference in changing resolution. If only changing the resolution it is just a change of numbers but if you want a resize of the image it is another story.
You can choose image size and set the resolution to 200 and uncheck the recalculate pixels option, otherwise choose recalculate and choose the image size.

  • Image Processor Problem - Untagged profile

Have come accross an issue in Photoshop 6 when using the Image Processor to output to .jpg.  All photos are being converted without a color profile (untagged) even though the Convert Profile to sRGB is checked.  Help!

    Hi,
Do you have Include ICC Profile checked at the bottom of the Image Processor dialog?

  • Colour washed out when using image processor in Bridge CS6

    Hi there
I hope somebody can help please?!
I am editing raw files in Camera Raw 8.2, then using image processor through Bridge CS6 to save them as both jpegs and tiffs.
I am finding the colour on the saved files is coming out a little washed out and faded.
If I open them individually and save them in PS6 as jpeg and tiffs, the colour remains vibrant and true to the original raw file.
I have thousands of these files to go through and don't have time to open each one individually in this way so I am desperate to automate this process while still retaining the great colour in the original shots.
Can anyone tell me why the shots are coming out this way and help offer a solution for me please?
Any advice would be massively appreciated!
    Many thanks

  • Color washed out when using image processor in Bridge CC

    Hi,
When I use the image processor - Tool>PhotoShopS>Image Processor, via bridge my colors appear wrong and washed out.
When i choose "Include ICC profile" in the process dialog it has no effect - the colors are still wrong.
In PhotoShop my profile is set to ProPhoto RGS, can that be the reason?
When I save as JPG from Photoshop the colors are correct.
    any suggestions?

  • Is there some file setting that prevents the Image Processor from resizing?

    Problem:
Some jpg images can't be resized using the Image Processor. I'm guessing there may be some setting (?) that prevents resizing but i can't find it. The images run through the Image Processor but retain their original size.
    Platform:
    Windows XP Pro, SP2
    Photoshop CS4, Bridge CS4
    What i tried:
    - i looked at the file info in Bridge - nothing apparent there that would cause the problem
    - the file attributes in Windows only have the archive bit set (they are NOT read only)
    - when i run the Image Processor either from Bridge or Photoshop the picture remains its original size
    - i have tried many combinations in the Image Processor dialog box, e.g. Convert Profile to sRGB, Include ICC Profile, etc.  (i DO have the Resize to fit check box checked)
    - i can resize the photo manually in Photoshop
    - some photos work, some don't
    - many of the photos were edited on Roxio on my wife's computer, renamed in Bridge and then copied over to my computer
    Thank you very much!
