Delete Source Table from Repository

Hi:
I created a custom folder (XXCUSTOM) in the Informatica repository and in the Sources subfolder I imported a standard EBS table. I now know that the same standard table exists in the Sources subfolder for a SDE folder. So, I went to the custom folder and attempted to delete the EBS table from the Sources subfolder, but I get the response:
"The source table RA_TERMS_B will be deleted from the repository and any Mappings which use this source will be invalidated."
Does anyone know if this means that ALL occurrences of the table (including in the SDE folder) will be deleted?
Thanks.

Thanks!

  • What is the source table for repository browser info?

    Hi guys,
    I need to create report for everyday's data refresh, mostly like what repository browser does. So what is the source table for repository browser info? I am in OWB 10gR2. Thanks a lot.

    I believe the runtime audit browser uses the views that start with "RAB" in the control center.
    But it would probably better if you used the Audit Execution views. More information can be found in the "API and Scripting Reference" document...
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31080_01/doc/owb.102/b28225/api_2runviews.htm
    In order to get access to the Public views from SQL Plus using a schema other than the control center, I believe you need to grant the ACCESS_PUBLICVIEW_BROWSER sys privilege to each OWB user. Look at Note:434718.1 for more information.

  • Delete temporary tables from namespace /BI0/0W - Failed to delete BPC Dim

    Hi guys,
    we have a problem while trying to delete a BPC Dimension which is no more used in any Application.
    Dimension deletion fails because BW InfoObject deletion fails. From SLG1 we see there are some reference still in use.
    Data Element /B28/OIJ2D30F1 is used in a couple of tables (/BI0/0W00000231 and /BI0/0W00000233).
    These tables seems to be "where used list" tables.
    We found an OSS Note [1042921|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1042921] related to DB6.
    But it is not suitable: we are on ORACLE.
    Anyway it says:
    you may have to delete temporary tables from namespace /BI0/0W*, which also use the data element
    These are exactly our symptoms
    Does anyboy of you know how to delete this tables in /BI0/0W namespace?
    Package is blank
    SE11 -> Delete requires to register the object (created by BPC_ADMIN)
    Thanks in advance

    in the table ddd02l you can see the temporary table..
    TCode db02, you can ask your basis team to delete temp  table...you can see it 'under missing table and indexe'

  • I want to define the Source Table from the Oralce Database. 11.1.1.3

    Dear all,
    How can i Define the Source table to take data from Oracle Database, and the target to be Essbase ?
    Another Qusetion
    Have i use the ERPi in FDQM ?
    If i have Why u should use ERPi ? ?

    Please note that the example in the admin guide is looping through a recordset and doing an append. If you are importing a large amount of data from a source table, this script is not efficent and will result in out of memory errors. You would want to do an insert into on the work table during the import process. This can be done using the FDM API.

  • Insert a query on the source table from ODI to Planning

    Hi, I'm creating an ODI Interface. As source I have a table and as target a Planning dimension.
    I'd like to extract record from my source table in a specified order (select * from MYTABLE order by ORD).
    Where can I write this command?
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi,
    Would it not just be easy to create a view on top of your table to extract in the way you want then use that view as the source in ODI.

  • Subversion -- Problem After Deleting a File from Repository

    I am using Dreamweaver CS6 and am using Subversion as a Repository server.
    In doing a massive check-in, Subversion reported an error with one file:
    SVN: #160024, Commit failed (details to follow):
    File or directory ‘aff.php’ is out of date; try updating
                Resource out of date; try updating
    I tried reverting that file and then tried the update, all to no avail.  In the end, I deleted that file, figuring that I could then simply add it.
    When I tried to add it, I got the following error:
    SVN: #155011, Commit failed (details to follow):
    File ‘aff.php’ is out of date
    File not found: transaction ‘150-4w’, path ‘/whmcs/aff.php’
    The reference to '150-4w' was to the "successful' transaction in which I deleted the file, 'aff.php'.
    Can anyone please help me to check this file in?

    Hi UndeniablyRexer,
    I've learned that deleted files stay on Adobe's server for 30 days. Section 3.3 of  General-terms governs access rights to your content.  It reads:
    3.3 Our Access. We will not access, view, or listen to any of your content, except as reasonably necessary to perform the Services. Actions reasonably necessary to perform the Services may include (but are not limited to) (a) responding to support requests; (b) detecting, preventing, or otherwise addressing fraud, security, unlawful, or technical issues; and (c) enforcing these terms.

  • Deletion of data from change log table and PSA

    Hi,
    For a DSO  I want to delete data from "Chnage log table"  and " PSA Tabel".
    For the DSO manage screen I have seen " Environment-> " Delete changelog table" from this we can delete chnage log table data as per my understanding.
    at PSA Level Mange screen also I have seen " Environment-> " Delete changelog table" from this option also it deletes the data from change log table or it deletes data from PSA table?.
    if this option also deletes data from changelog table then how we can delete data from PSA table?
    Please clarify me

    Hi,
      I am not sure what are you referring to from your point "PSA Level Mange screen also I have seen " Environment-> " Delete changelog table". When ever you click on manage for your psa you will be routed to a popup where you can see all your requests in the PSA table & there after if you click on any single request you will get Environment menu option but there wotn be any change log deletion option available. Please check again? Right clicking on your data source will take you to the manage requests for PSA. You can selectively delete the requests as required.
    For DSO when you right click on manage you can directly find Delete change log data option in the Environment tab. there you can select the requests you want to delete.
    Also if you want to automate the deletion process then you can simply create a chain and include the steps for PSA deletion & change Log deletion accordingly.
    Also it is recommended to keep on clearing the PSA table & Chage log data at regular intervals as it saves the disk space & thus helping in performance optimization
    Please refer the below doc at SDN, it will be helpful for you in automating the process of change log deletion & PSA deletion.

  • Who deleted my tables???

    Hi,
    We have an Oracle 8.i database server with some users, and somebody deleted some tables from one user.
    I would like to know if there's some way to find out what user dropped the tables, in a log file, a historical table or something like that.
    Thank U in advance.

  • Workflow for deleting extra footage from session/hard drive

    I want to save hard drive space. I have several session of 40gb each. I am new to video editing and realize the way to work is to trim the 4gb files so that I only have the needed footage on the drive, deleting the prerolls and extras from my drive. BUT, I dont know how to do this in Premiere Pro CS6. Is this task better done before I create a project?
    So what is the best workflow?
    Workflow A
    1. Insert SD Media to Computer and edit using MPEG Streamclip or Quicktime(trimming)
    2. Export clips into Session/Scene based folders on main footage hard drive
    3. delete source files from SD media - large files never get saced to hard drive
    If this is best, what export settings are best for Premiere Pro CS6.
    Can this task be as easily done in CS6?
    Workflow B
    1. Insert SD card into computer and open clips in Premiere Pro CS6
    2. Add Scenes/Sessoins into a Sequence and use in/out points to drop clips/subclips into the project(per scene)
    3. export them to hard drive and delete session footage.
    Id this is best, how do you export from Premiere Pro CS6 so that the clips in the sequence are now referenced, the audio and video are stored where I can access them/labeled and I can trash the source footage.
    I hope this makes sense. I want to trim away the wwasted footage and drive space. My 250GB drive is almost full and only 20-30GB is useufl footage. I need a workflow to reduce the file sizes.
    For the current footage  I have the resolution of the export doesnt matter, no one will see them but me. Rehearsal footage. I need the audio and video to stay linked(is that what rendering does?)
    Thanks.

    So an example of what i'm doing is this.
    Last week I  captured 4 rehearsals (musicians and dancers) each lasting one hour. Each rehearsal contains only 2o mins of usefull footage. But the 20 mins are spread out so that if i edited each session there would be 5 4min clips. There will be rehearsals ongoing for twelve weeks so I''ll be duplicating this process many times. I want to save space on the drive by doing some initial editing to reduce each hour session to 5 4min clips.
    What is the best workflow  so that at the end of each week I have 4folders each holding the 20mins of good footage(and audio) on my drive and all the unneccessary footage is trashed. A few sessions will comprise a multicamera setup. All sessions have audio from the cameras and audio from a mixing console. I want all the audio from every source kept.
    I want to preedit each week so that 12 weeks from now when I do the master edit, I have already saved rive space, matched audio sources to the clips(even if I havent edited multicamera clips)
    Can you help me with the front end of the post capture workflow? What is the best way to save space and time given my goal of documenting the rehearsals and for havign a compilation video later? Thanks !!!!

  • Insert data from source table to destination table dependning up on a criteria.once inserted delete from source table.

    HI,
    I have a source table with millions of records .I need to insert some of the data (depending on a condition) to a repository table.
    Once they are inserted they can be deleted from the source table.
    The deletion is taking a lot of time .
    I need to reduce the time to delete the records.
    ex:-  1 million records in 8 seconds.
    Had already used bulk collect and cursors but cannot succeed.
    Please suggest how to increase the performance.
    Thanks & Regards

    APPROACH 1:-
    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE SP_BC
    AS
    DETAILS_REC SOURCETBL%ROWTYPE;
    COUNTER NUMBER:=1;
    RCOUNT NUMBER:= 1;
    START_TIME PLS_INTEGER;
    END_TIME PLS_INTEGER;
    CURSOR C1 IS
    SELECT * FROM SOURCETBL WHERE DOJ<SYDATE;
    BEGIN
    START_TIME := DBMS_UTILITY.GET_TIME;
        DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE(START_TIME/100);
        OPEN C1;
        LOOP
        FETCH C1 INTO DETAILS_ROW;
        EXIT WHEN  C1%NOTFOUND;
               BEGIN
                EXIT WHEN COUNTER >10000;
                INSERT INTO DESTINATIONTBL VALUES DETAILS_REC;
                IF SQL%FOUND THEN
                    DELETE FROM SOURCETABLE WHERE ID= DETAILS_REC.ID;
                  COUNTER:=COUNTER+1;
            END IF;
        COMMIT;
            END;
         COUNTER:=1;
        END LOOP;
        COMMIT;
    END;
    APPROACH 2:-
        CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE SP_BC1
    IS
    TYPE T_DET IS TABLE OF SOURCETBL%ROWTYPE;
    T_REC T_DET;
    BEGIN
        SELECT *  BULK COLLECT INTO T_REC FROM SOURCETBL
         WHERE NAME=@NAME;
        FOR I IN  T_REC .FIRST ..T_REC .LAST
           LOOP
             INSERT INTO DESTINATIONTBL VALUES T_REC (I);
          IF SQL%FOUND THEN
          DELETE FROM SOURCETBL WHERE ID =
           WHERE ID = T_REC (I).ID;
           END IF;
           EXIT WHEN T_REC=0;
        END LOOP;
        COMMIT;
    END;
    APPROACH 3:-
    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE SP_BC2
    AS
    TYPE REC_TYPE IS TABLE OF SOURCETBL%ROWTYPE ;
    DETAILS_ROW REC_TYPE;
    CURSOR C1 IS
    SELECT * FROM
         SOURCETBL WHERE END<SYSDATE;
        BEGIN
        OPEN C1;
        LOOP
        FETCH C1 BULK COLLECT INTO DETAILS_ROW LIMIT 999;
        FORALL I IN 1..DETAILS_ROW.COUNT
                  /* A BATCH OF 999 RECORDS WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR DATA MOVEMENT*/
    INSERT INTO DESTINATIONTBL VALUES DETAILS_ROW(I);
    --            IF SQL%FOUND  THEN
    --                DELETE from SOURCETBL WHERE ID IN DETAILS_ROW(I).ID;
    --           END IF;
            EXIT WHEN  C1%NOTFOUND;
        COMMIT;
        END LOOP;
        COMMIT;
    3rd approach seems better but i have an issue with referring the fileds of a record type.

  • Merge update source table and delete from target table problem

    Hello Friends,
    I am a newbie in SQL Server world and I am in a situation where I need to delete the bunch of records from the TARGET table using the values from the SOURCE table.
    The TARGET table has close to 400 Million records, so I need to delete the records in small batches of about ~10,000 rows.
    I figured out a way to delete in batches by refering the following 2 posts
    http://sqlperformance.com/2013/03/io-subsystem/chunk-deletes
    http://dba.stackexchange.com/questions/1750/methods-of-speeding-up-a-huge-delete-from-table-with-no-clauses
    I think my best option to delete and update in 1 pass would be through using Merge statement, so for that I constructed following SQL.
    MERGE dbo.table1 AS TARGET
    USING
    SELECT File_name FROM dbo.table2
    WHERE  FILE_DESC = 'EDI'
    AND [Processed_date] < DATEADD (WEEK, -10, Getdate ()) AS SOURCE
    ON (TARGET.File_name = SOURCE.File_name)
    WHEN MATCHED THEN DELETE (FROM THE TARGET)
    WHEN MATCHED
        THEN UPDATE SET SOURCE.PROCESS_delete_date = GETDATE()
    But, when executed, it throws following error and I am struggling to figure out what is wrong with the above syntax.
    Msg 156, Level 15, State 1, Line 3
    Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'SELECT'.
    Msg 156, Level 15, State 1, Line 5
    Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'AS'.
    Can any expert please help a newbie as I learn the new way.
    Thanks a lot.

    Visakh, we can have more than 1 matched clause in merge as per the Microsoft sql statement, but we need to add a condition along with the match. thanks for your prompt response on this query. your query is logically fine but when executed, it throws
    following error. Msg 156, Level 15, State 1, Line 2 Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'DELETE'. Msg 102, Level 15, State 1, Line 8 Incorrect syntax near ')'. remember, my server machine is 2005 version & my work machine is 2012. dont know why your query
    is not working.
    MERGE is available only from 2008 onwards
    Yes you're correct but again not more than two  MATCHED clauses even if you specify condition
    see MSDN documentation below
    WHEN MATCHED THEN <merge_matched>
    Specifies that all rows of target_table that match the rows returned by <table_source> ON <merge_search_condition>, and satisfy any additional search condition, are either updated or deleted according to the <merge_matched> clause.
    The MERGE statement can have at most two WHEN MATCHED clauses. If two clauses are specified, then the first clause must be accompanied by an AND <search_condition> clause
    from
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb510625.aspx
    Also I guess Composable DML which used is also not present in 2005
    So in your case you can try this instead
    DECLARE @DELETED_FILES table
    File_Name varchar(100)
    DELETE t
    OUTPUT DELETED.File_Name INTO @DELETED_FILES
    FROM dbo.table1 t
    INNER JOIN dbo.table2 s
    ON t.File_name = s.File_name
    WHERE s.FILE_DESC = 'EDI'
    AND s.[Processed_date] < DATEADD (WEEK, -10, Getdate ())
    UPDATE r
    SET r.Process_Delete_Date = GETDATE()
    FROM dbo.table2 r
    INNER JOIN @DELETED_FILES AS p
    ON p.File_Name = r.File_Name

  • I HAVE A SOURCE TABLE WITH 10 RECORDS AND TARGET TABLE 15 RECORDS. MY WUESTION IS USING WITH THE TABLE COMPARISON TRANSFORM I WANT TO DELETE UNMATCHED RECORDS FROM THE TARGET TABLE ??

    I HAVE A SOURCE TABLE WITH 10 RECORDS AND TARGET TABLE 15 RECORDS. MY QUESTION IS USING WITH THE TABLE COMPARISON TRANSFORM .I WANT TO DELETE UNMATCHED RECORDS FROM THE TARGET TABLE ?? HOW IT IS ??

    Hi Kishore,
    First identify deleted records by selecting "Detect deleted rows from comparison table" feature in Table Comparison
    Then Use Map Operation with Input row type as "delete" and output row type as "delete" to delete records from target table.

  • How to delete a row from a SQL Server CE Table with multiple JOINs?

    I want to delete a record from a SQL Server CE table.
    There are 3 tables scripts, options and results. I would like to remove a record from the results table. The where clause contains dynamic information which retrieved via other queries to different tables in the same database. These queries work fine and deliver
    the desired data.
    The Compact server is a clone of a remote table created using the sync framework. The same query to the remote table works fine.
    The error I get is:
    There was an error parsing the query. [ Token line number = 1,Token line offset = 10,Token in error = from ]
    The code that throws the exception is as follows:
    Dim connLoc As SqlCeConnection = New SqlCeConnection(My.Settings.ConnectionString)connLoc.Open()     Dim strDel As String = "Delete r from ResultsTable r inner join OptionsTable o ON o.TestName=r.TestName inner join ScriptTable c ON r.TestName=c.TestName WHERE r.TestName = '" & ds1Loc.Tables(0).Rows(0)(1) & "' AND [Index] = '" & lstIndex & "'"Dim cmdDel As SqlCeCommand = New SqlCeCommandcmdDel.CommandText = strDelcmdDel.Connection = connLoccmdDel.ExecuteNonQuery()
    The values held in ds1Loc.Tables(0).Rows(0)(1) and lstIndex are
    correct so should not be the problem.
    I also tried using parameterised queries
    Dim strDel As String = "Delete r from [ResultsTable] r inner join [OptionsTable] o ON o.TestName=r.TestName inner join [ScriptTable] c ON r.TestName=c.TestName WHERE r.TestName = @TestName AND [Index] = @lstIndex"
    Dim cmdDel As SqlCeCommand = New SqlCeCommand        cmdDel.CommandText = strDel
    With cmdDel.Parameters
    .Add(New SqlCeParameter("@TestName", ds1Loc.Tables(0).Rows(0)(1)))
    .Add(New SqlCeParameter("@lstIndex", lstIndex))
    End With
    cmdDel.Connection = connLoc        cmdDel.ExecuteNonQuery()
    I have tried replacing the "=" with "IN" in the the WHERE clause but this has not worked.
    Is it the join that is causing the problem? I can do a select with the same search criteria and joins from the same database.
    Also this query works with SQL Server. Is it perhaps that SQL CE does not support the Delete function the same as SQL Server 2008? I have been looking at this for a while now and cannot find the source of the error. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello,
    In SQL Server Compact, we can use join in FROM clause. The DELETE statement fail may be caused by the FOREIGN KEY constraint.
    Please refer to:
    DELETE (SQL Server Compact)

    Could you please guide me the logic how to crack this???
    Let me know if you need more Info
    Thanks
    Sanju

    Hi Sanjana,
    What you can do is to use the ABAP keyword INSERT or MODIFY to add or modify records to a given database table. Here are the syntax taken from SAP documentation:
    *Insert Statement
    INSERT dbtab
    Syntax
    INSERT { {INTO target VALUES source }
           | {     target FROM   source } }.
    Effect
    The INSERT statement inserts one or more rows specified in source in the database table specified in target. The two variants with INTO and VALUES or without INTO with FROM behave identically, with the exception that you cannot specify any internal tables in source after VALUES.
    System Fields
    The INSERT statement sets the values of the system fields sy-subrc and sy-dbcnt.
    sy-subrc Meaning
    0 At least one row was inserted.
    4 At least one row could not be inserted, because the database table already contains a row with the same primary key or a unique secondary index.
    The INSERT statement sets sy-dbcnt to the number of rows inserted.
    Note
    The inserted rows are finally included in the table in the next database commit. Up until this point, they can still be removed by a database rollback.
    *Modify Statement
    MODIFY dbtab
    Syntax
    MODIFY target FROM source.
    Effect
    The MODIFY statement inserts one or several lines specified in source in the database table specified in target, or overwrites existing lines.
    System fields
    The MODIFY statement sets the values of the sy-subrc and sy-dbcnt system fields.
    sy-subrc Meaning
    0 At least one line is inserted or changed.
    4 At least one line could not be processed since there is already a line with the same unique name secondary index in the database table.
    The MODIFY statement sets sy-dbcnt to the number of processed lines.
    Note
    The changes are transferred finally to the database table with the next database commit. Up to that point, they can be reversed using a database rollback.
    Hope it helps...
    P.S. Please award points if it helps...
