Deleting a potential customer record from SAP

Hello
Does anyone know how to delete a potential customer that has been created in SAP. As once you have created it, if you dont transfer it into a proper customer record, then the potential customer record will sit there is SAP. This then takes up space. So I wanted to know whether there is a way deleting the potential record.

A potential customer is one that has been created and their account group is set to 'Potential Customer'. This means at this stage that no transaction can be carried out against the customer as they have not been transfer into a proper customer account. A credit check, etc is then carried out on the customer, and if successful then customers account group is changed from 'Potential Customer' to 'Sold to Party' for example. However if the record is not transfered and is still in the system as a Potential Customer then we need to be able to remove these.
Is there way to delete these. I tried the above methods however was not successful.

Deleting 3 millon duplicated records from 4 million records

Hi,
I want to delete 3 million duplicate records from 4 million records in production. We dont have the partitions. I cann't recreate table using CTAS Option. So I have to delete the data in batch because of shared environment and people acceessing the data.
Is there any fastest way to delete the data in stead of using bulk delete by using max rowid.
please help me out.

After deletion of data( with suggestion given by Justin), make sure that latest statistics are also taken.
After such a heavy delete there is always a mismatch between num_rows and actual count.
the best way is to shrink space and then gather table statistics, other wise optimizer will get confused and it will not take into consideration correct statistics.
For e.g.

16:44:24 SQL> We can see how the no. of blocks changes. It changed from 2942 to 1471 which is half and in your case it will be 1/4th times of what it was using.
There are other options for shrinking space as well other than MOVE.
alter table <table_name> shrink space;Try it out and you can see the difference yourself.

Issue while importing customer records from Staging tables

hi,
we are trying to insert customer records from other erp system to oracle ebs.
We are able to push the data into staging table and call the procedure 'hz_cust_account_v2pub.create_cust_account'
Now we could see the data being entered in 'HZ_PARTIES'
but could not see the records from frontend.
On the other hand in case of vendors and employee we could see the data from frontend as well
Is there any particular flag or field we are missing?

Has the " DQM Serial Sync Index Program" run after you have run the import? If not try and manually submit this job and see if you can view your changes

Hi,
I would suggest you not to write your own code to delete the entries.
BAPI_MATERIAL_DELETE, this would mark all materials selected for deletion. But still the material would exist in SAP.
Another solution: Delete a material manually and in another session execute the transaction SM04. This would display the tables which get locked when you do the operation, Then you can write your own code to delete the material numbers from all the related tables.

You can only flag the material for deletion. You do this via MM02, or you can do it via BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA. THe material can only be fully deleted when the archive process has been ran for the object.

As you know we can use the concept of DELETE ADJACENT DUPLICATES FROM with options according to your specifications like
COMPARING
OR
COMPARING ALL FIELDS... (ADDITIONS).
But, don't forget to sort the table according to the COMPARISON ORDER.

SAP Query: How to filter records from SAP Query output before display

Hi Friends,
Can I delete records from an SAP query basic list before it is displayed?
For example I want to delte all the orders whose system status is "RELEASED" before the basic list of that SAP query is displayed.
I have gone through SAP help and found out that we can write some code in END code section which will execute before the basic list of the query is displayed. But I could not figure out how the code this...following is an excerpt form SAP help.
"The END-OF-SELECTION code consists of two parts (Before list output and After list output). The first part is processed before the list is output and the second part afterwards."
Can anybody help me?

Try this simple procedure. Hope this should work for you.
You do the slection of the status in the List-Processing. say your final field of status flag is GF_STATUS.
Immediatly after that use this within the List-Processing.
CHECK GF_STATUS EQ '<RELEASED STATUS>'
How it works:
SELECT <> "<-------Query processing(system code).
*< Your code put in the List processing
CHECK GF_STATUS EQ '<RELEASED STATUS>' "< --only released records passed.
*>
ENDSELECT "<-----Query endselect(system code).

Deletion of a particular record from database table

i want to delete (or) insert particular record from predefined sap table... that is with out module pool programming... can i delete or insert a record to or from the table..

ucan do it without module pool programming in your normal report program.
To insert a line into an index table, use the statement:
INSERT <line> INTO <itab> [INDEX <idx>].
<line> is either a work area that is convertible to the line type, or the expression INITIAL LINE. If you use <wa>, the system adds a new line to the internal table <itab> and fills it with the contents of the work area. INITIAL LINE inserts a blank line containing the correct initial value for each field of the structure.
To select the lines that you want to delete using a condition, use the following:
DELETE FROM <target> WHERE <cond> .
All of the lines in the database table that satisfy the conditions in the WHERE clause are deleted. The FROM expression must occur between the keyword and the database table.
You should take particular care when programming the WHERE clause to ensure that you do not delete the wrong lines. For example, if you specify an empty internal table in a dynamic WHERE clause, all of the lines in the table are deleted.
If at least one line is deleted, the system sets SY-SUBRC to 0, otherwise to 4. SY-DBCNT contains the number of lines deleted.

How to delete all the crystal reports from SAP B1 ?

Dear Experts,
I have one problem and I need to Delete all the Crystal PLD's and Crystal Reports from SAP B1.
I can delete a PLD or Report using delete option from Report and layout manager or layout designer.
But I need to select delete option for each PLD and It makes very time.I have some 200 Reports and I need to delete fully.
Is there any possible to multi delete option in SAP B1?
I have searched many but i will not receive proper solution. Any one can explain how to do This?

Dear Karthikeyan,
Manual deletion is actually the most safe way to delete them. If you try update B1 tables directly, you are against SAP support rule.

Unable to delete a set of records from PSA

Hello All,
I am trying to delete a PSA request (INIT With data transfer) which had about crores of records. But in my PSA, I can still see about 16000 records from the earlier deleted request.
Please advice as my next INIT is not brininging in any records. the issue is very critical...

Hi,
Check out for any other History Init Request available in the PSA and delete it. Or use the program - RSAR_PSA_CLEANUP_DIRECTORY to clean the PSA Completely. Next, check out in the InfoPackage menu, Scheduler - > Initialization for source system, whether there is any successful Initialization request is available or not. If available delete the request by selecting delete from all the systems.
Now, you can again use the Init Infopackage to initialize the delta.
