Deleting account message

I have a
user account delete form, but it is not working. It will not delete the account, even though the credentials are right. here is my php:

is the problem that i have to store 'Pword' to a variable BEFORE i can compare it to another?

Did the issue happen only for the Lync account which you recreated before or also happen for multiple users?
Please check if you have assigned the correct number in Line URI in user settings.
Please also check if there any policy influence it.

Can I delete account without deleting messages?

I have old email messages from friends and family that I want to keep in my mail folders, but I no longer use that email account. Can I delete the account without deleting all the historic email associated with it? Or do I have to look at that now grayed account name forever in my sidebar?

thanks. That is just what I needed. I currently have three accounts, including the one I'm deleting.
If I understand you right, all I need to do is move all my messages out of the INBOX of the account I'm deleting, and into other folders I created under the ON MY MAC section. Deleted account messages will only be deleted from the INBOX. (well, HELP should have said so, instead it just said ALL mail from that account will be deleted).
Now, if I SENT mail from the account I delete, that account's mail in the SENT folder be deleted also because it has not been moved into a folder I created in the ON MY MAC section, Correct?

Sorry, but it's not possible to select all in the mail app to delete all messages at once. One at a time is the way that you have to go.

Hello. I have icloud synchronized with outlook 2007 (contacts, accounts, and calendar). The problem is that when delete a message in outlook does not send it to the Recycle Bin, that message appears crossed out. Why does this happen? Can I make it work with normal outlook?

Have you contacted your email provider to make sure there are no problems on their end? If they say their email servers are working properly, check the outgoing and incoming mail servers entries on your iPhone to make sure both are entered correctly. Enter the outgoing mail server even if the account setup indicates that is optional.

Deleted mail messages not reflected in online account

I download my email from yahoo into mail. I want to keep the messages on the server, so I don't remove them from the server. However, when I delete the messages in mail, I would like to have them deleted in my yahoo account. Currently, they are not deleted. How can I accomplish this?

My ISP is Sympatico in Toronto. Unfortunately, Sympatico uses Microsoft's Hotmail servers to manage customers' email. Apparently, according to Sympatico, Microsoft will not allow you to use a mail client (other than their own?) to delete messages off its servers. I have to go into my mail account via browser to do so. That way, I guess, I can see all the MS propaganda.
Boy, you buy a Mac to get away from that Billy Boy tyrant...

either use the pop protocol to get your mails, or move mail into a "local Folder" from your mail account and it will delete on the server as well as from the account in Thunderbird.

O ly if the email account is IMAP or exchange based. A POP account will not accomplish this.

Will deleting account delete On My Mac messages

When I have time I take messages from my POP account Inbox and drag them to a "mailbox"/folder that is listed under the heading On My Mac. For instance I have a folder On My Mac/Waiting. The messages in the "Waiting" mailbox/folder were actually emailed to various POP and IMAP accounts. I have just taken them and put them in this folder. I want to keep all the messages in their individual On My Mac folders. The Inbox of the POP and IMAP accounts are empty. I want to remove the POP account from the computer. I do not want to receive anymore messages into the inbox or send any from the POP account. I do want to keep the messages that I have moved into place under the On My Mac section.
Will deleting the POP account also delete all the messages that I have moved into various folders? The messages are in mailboxes/folders and mixed with other accounts. I understand the practice of exporting (in Lion) and archiving (in SL and before). This is not what I am asking about. I am just wondering if the messages will dissappear from the folders if I delete the accounts. That is precicelly what I do not want to happen.

You didn't buy the apps, so you really have no right to keep them.
You don't delete accounts off of the device, you sign in and out of accounts. Settings>iTumes & App Stores>Apple ID. You can sign out of the wrong account in there and sign in with your own account.

Recovering mail messages after deleting Account

After deleting and recreating my account, I lost all my Inbox and Sent messages. I did a back up before I did this (mbox). However when I try to reimport (Import data from "other"), I navigate to the messages folder (which I backed up to an external drive), but I get a message "Error: No valid mbox files were found". The messages are all there, in a folder as .emix files, and I can open them up when I double click. I realize that I can reimport them into Mail by the Move command, but it appears I would have to do this one message at a time (and I have hundreds!).
Is there something I can be doing here to remedy the problem?

If your accounts are POP and you didn't delete the messages, then I suspect they are still there, but Mail doesn't know it. So try this:
1. Quit Mail if it's running.
2. Go to ~/Library/Mail and delete the Envelope Index file(s).
3. Restart Mail and wait for it to import your existing messages. When it's finished, Mail should function normally and all your email should be back where it belongs with any luck.

How can I retrieve emails from a deleted account?

Hi, I've done a stupid thing. I was setting up a new account and only wanted to disable my old account but deleted the account details instead of disabling, not realising that this would actually delete the emails as well and I had most of my emails sitting in the inbox and sent folders. Does anyone know how I get these back? I don't have any backups.

If the account was an IMAP account, and e-mails that were on the server should still be there. However, I get the impression that isn't the case. For a POP account that has deleted the messages from the server, unfortunately, no, there isn't an easy way to get them back. You could try a file recovery utility, but I'd put my money against getting much useful data back that way. If you want to try, I believe that TechTool includes a file recovery tool.
Since you don't have any backups, take this as your cue that you need to start keeping them regularly. Start today!

How can I delete saved messages from my iphone 5s to be able to update it?

I have needed to update my Iphone 5s from the past 2 updates but it says that I have 4.2 GB of saved messages. I don't know where to go to delete them. I delete regular messages from my phone daily so I'm not sure what is being saved and where.

You would need to set up your mail account as a POP account instead of IMAP.

How do you delete 'SAVED MESSAGES' on iPhone 5s? It's taking up about 10GB of 32 GB capacity.

After much searching on the web and reading many (sometimes amusing) posts on this topic here is what I have found.
In Settings>General>Usage my saved mesages were using 3.2Gb and no apparently immediate way of deleting them.
However as the good book says "seek and ye shall find".
SO this is where I went:
Settings>iCloud>Account> then scroll down to ADVANCED and select Mail; again scroll down to the bottom and select Advanced and yet again scroll to the bottom (well at least to DELETED MESSAGES) and tap on the line called Remove.
Here at last you will find a setting that enables you to select the period after which iOS will remove your deleted messages.
The shortest period is one day so you will haev to wait 24 hours to finally have that memory back but it should work and is a nice feature in iOS although it is well burried!!

Iphone deletes sent messages on my mac

Hi guys - I have searched on this subject but to no avail.
When I sync my iPhone with my mac, it deletes all my messages from my Sent Folder on both my Mac and .mac and only keeps the ones on my iPhone (approx 34 messages)
This means if I want to search for an old email that I have sent from my Mac - I cannot find it which could be disastrous!
Is there anyway that I can set it so it doesn't delete messages from my mac or do I just have to turn off syncing mail?

I am sure that your iPhone has absolutely nothing to do with this. Your iPhone and iTunes does not sync messages in Mail. All that is sync'd is simply the account information (name, type, password).
What is more likely happening, is that you have set Mail to not retain sent messages locally, and the server side with sent messages to be auto deleted once sent, or upon quitting Mail. Or you have set up IMAP like settings, in that a deletion on one client (either Mail or iPhone) deletes the message from the server
You only need to sync your Mail accounts one time, then you can turn it off. You would turn it back on, when you modify account settings in Mail, add a new account that you also want on your phone, and you simply don't want to double enter that information again on the iPhone.

TS3899 deleted account and reopened it , made it worse, now cant do anything, it wont open emails says has no content and cant access them at all

Cant get into email account all of a sudden. Tried shutting down, deleted account and then opened new account....get into mail....says there are messages but they have no content, cant, delete them or even get into them....help!!! oh and when I go throug HOTMAIL on safari I have no problems
