If you have a backup, restore the ENTIRE iTunes folder to the computer. This restores the library and device association files. If for some reason you chose to only back up the media and not the entire iTunes folder, then the only option is to let iTunes wipe the drive and re-sync.

So, the article you have there, HT4895, is pretty good. Just look at the FAQ section of it.
But basically, you will want to create a backup on your computer through iTunes...Just plug your current iPad into it and make sure your iPad and iTunes are logged in with the same Apple ID. At that point, just create a backup.
When you get your new iPad, and before you plug it in or set it up, follow the directions in this link to change your Apple ID. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5621?viewlocale=en_US
Once you have that done, plug your new iPad into your computer to sync up with iTunes. Follow the directions for Restore from Backup and it should bring all that info back to your new iPad.
And changing your Apple ID email info will allow you to have your own!!! This should solve all your issues and GL!!!

Copy the entire itunes folder from the old computer to the new computer.

After deleting all data and trying to restore from icloud, How long does it sit on the choose backup screen after choosing your backup?

I backed up on icloud and then went to settings and deleted all data. When my phone restarted and I got all the way to choose icloud back up to restore, my phone has now sat on that same screen for over 2 hours now. Only thing that has happened was a message that popped up and said that could not connect to itunes server. Is it just frozen or is it actually restoring? Something has gone wrong. Turn your phone off, then force it into recovery mode:
Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new. In your case, select "new".

You are right by your approach to update from PSA to ODS as u have wrritten before. Just got to PSA tree select the PSA request and choose update Immediatly or scedule for update.
(and if u have 0FI_GL_4 but u r not using it ..it is fine. I was telling that in case u have that and you are trying to use somethin with 0FI_AP_4)

You cannot undo commands. When you delete/remove files with the rm command the files are not put in the trash where they could be recovered. They are gone.
You should have your system backed up with Time machine and/or backup clone of your system. Use them to recover you files.

New software has deleted all data!

i've just updated my iphone3GS to the new software and it has deleted all data including contacts, photos, text messages, apps etc! i've tried restoring it again and the latest back up i can get is may 2010!!! I back up my iphone on a weekly basis so realistically i should be able to get my latest back up but the option isn't there! any help would be appreciated!!!

Fixed my problem by re-booting phone. Which I shud of done to start!

I find that when I synchronise with my pc and laptop I get multiple copies of each contact. I reckon the best thing is to delete all data and start again.

A hard reset will return it to an out-of-the-box state
1. Switch off the phone.
2. Hold down the following three buttons: Green (the call answer button), * button, and '3' button.
3. While holding these buttons, press the power button and switch on the phone.
4. When the message 'Formatting' appears on the screen, release all of the buttons.

Time Capsule hangs in initial backup after having deleted all data.

Hi,
I'm having a big problem trying to set up my time capsule after deleting all data on it again.
In the beginning the problem was that I have used the time capsule as a file server and a backup volume. I guess it was the main problem was that the disk was full and time machine had no more place to backup any longer.
So I always got an error that the time machine had a problem to backup.
I decided to delete all data on time capsule and start from the beginning.
After deleting all data and trying to start from zero, Time Machine is trying to initiate the backup.
But nothing more happens. It seems to hang up while initiating. I tried to delete the disc several times but the problem is still occuring.
Maybe you had the same difficulties and found a solution?

same here although I get to "finishing Backup" and then mine hangs and it can be hard to shut down. I discovered the only way I could get it to stop once was to launch Disk Utility and eject the sparsebundle listed there. I have no backups at all.I will call Apple on Monday and see if they have anything floating around there that might fix us. I will report back-If you make any progress please let us know here! We will get this thing working I am sure of it!

How to delete all data in a table

What's the best way to delete all of the data from a table? I wan't to do a data wipe of our database to eliminate all of the test data we've been putting into it over the last few months.
I've tried using: DELETE FROM TABLENAME; but killed SQL+ after it ran for 13 hours and still wasn't done. There are approximately 900,000 records in this table and I would prefer not to drop/recreate the table because of the various dependencies within the database.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Try the TRUNCATE TABLE command. That's quick and easy.
e.g.
TRUNCATE TABLE mytable;

I need to delete transactional data in an planning application. I've run a "clear" and I clears all the data, but unfortunately, it's "only a delta" delete. So there are still several datapackage request in my application. Of course the sum is zero, but there are still lot's of data.
How to I do a full delete af all transactional data and request ?
i need this in order to delete all masterdata and reload it.

Hi,
Easiest way of complete deletion of transactional data from application is from back end.
Login into back end(BPC BW) via logon pad
--Goto tcode RSA1 and click on infoproviders tab
   --Search for Application (from where you want to delete data)
   --Select the application and change from planning mode to data load mode from context menu
   --Select delete data from context menu
     --Select No to keep dimension data
   --Once data deleted from application(infocube) change back planing mode(from context menu)
