I have a requirement to insert/update non English data using command line.
I know that Sql*Plus cannot be used for this. I have tried Sql*Loader and that works fine for inserts.
Question is can SQL*loader be used for updates and deletes too.
Also which utility is the best one to be used in this scenario.

In another forum I found out that SQL*Plus can actually be used for inserting unicode data.

  • Deleting other Company Code data

    Hello
Has anyone any good experience in deleting other Company Code datas. We had in mind archiving but seems it is more like"mission impossible" due to many opened documents whivch prevent to come to the customer in order to be deleted.
I know SAP SLO service, but it is much too expensive. Also we are not such perfectionist as they are.
Does anyone knows some  product which could help us in this regads
    Thank you in advance

  • Creating a Crystal Report from a non-SAP data base

    I have the following scenario
    server1\myDataBase
    server1\SAP\sapDataBases
in sapDataBases I have about 30 company databases. I am trying to create a report, that gets informatino from a table/view/SP from server1\myDataBase, when I try to PREVIEW or SAVE such report on SAP Business One, I always get errors as
I understand that this eerror means taht I can't invoke the data from out of SAP; it needs to be inside SAP (at least the SP, incoking some other data bases and stuff..)
Some bodies have told me that it is beacuase I can only create a report from a table/view/sp that resides in the running/currently SAP company database. Is this right?
Also, If this is the case, this means that If I have an SP taht I use for a crystal report, and 30 companies, I have to create such SP in the 30 companies?
    This is my software details:
    SQL Server 2012
SAP Business One 9 PL 11
SAP BusinessObjects Crystal Reports 2013 Support Pack 2 version 14.1.2.1121
What I want to do is to create a non-SAP data base to create all the SPs/Views for reports, to centralize it, and the just create one reporte and do the 30-imports in each company database, without the need of creating such sps/views in each company-database. Is this possible?
    Thanks

    Moved to Integration Kit forum.
The people in this forum will know more about the data structure than the CR Design forum which typically doesn't know much about the SAP Data sources Structure.

  • How to create a sales order having incomplete non-sap data as input start

We have facing the following problem in our company. We have a non-SAP system where we pull data from. We built a webservice that enables a user to pull data from the non-sap sustem by entering a key value (e.g. project number). Pulling the non-sap data is not a problem. However, once the user have pulled the data via the webservice, this data (e.g. material number, qty and sales unit) needs to be transfered to the va01 screen directly. The user will have to complete the missing master data like sold to party, ship to party, customer PO number etc. Then by hitting enter standard SAP will run and if everything is OK, the user has to save the order and a sales order number will be created. We know there a lot of techniques that can be used like Idoc, BAPI, XML, RFC. We have XI, Adobe and Portal available. Does somebody have an idea for a solid solution to get this to work?
    kind regards
    Angelique Heutinck

You want to Create Sales Order thru VA01 after puling the data from NonSAP system. Moreover you want that the Incomplete Sales Order will be saved.
if thats the requirement - I ll suggest
While doing VA01 - start from Create with reference Sales order. in that case default Sales Orders will be automatically created and using the BDC you can change the items  or Customers you want to change. Once the Order number is created properly  - u r free to change eveything of that Order.
Otherwise calling BAPI / RFC for creating the sales orders is the most safest way of achieving it. But again if you dont have the complete data - calling RFC  or BAPI does not make much sense. because they will fail to create the Sales Order in case u dont fill up the mandatory fields.

  • Delete unwanted company code, like sample company codes

    Hi Expert,
I would like to have advice on deleting unwanted company codes, for example, country sample company codes.
I would like to have remaining company code of 0001, and my client company code, say 1000, only.
Is it enough to delete these unwanted company code using EC01?
    I will make sure:
No transactional data for these company codes, say Table BSEG
No master data for these company codes, GL: SKB1, Vendor: LFB1, Customer: KNB1, etc
    Thanks and regards,
    sbmel

    Hi,
You can delete un-wanted Company codes from the system. But you will get frustation with this task. I am telling this based on my experience for 2 times..
You have to archive data and company codes before started deleting this. and you have to delete Profit centers, Cost centers, Cost elements,  GL Accounts, Activity types and all other master data.. First we have to delete the dependant data  (I mean assigned child data). other wise it will give many errors..
For example: If you delete standard hierarchy with out deleting Cost centers or profit centers firsst,,,then you can not delete profit centers or cost centers..
So we have to delete one by one logically.. hope it helps..
    thanks

  • Delete Customer Master Data OBR2

    Hi
I'm using LSMW to import data. I would like to delete it afterwards. Transaction OBR2 which is in spro Financial Accounting (New) -> Accounts Receivable And Payable -> Customer Accounts -> Master Data -> Delete Customer master data.
But it does not delete the sales are segment, it also does not allow me to delete general data if sales segment exists.
Can anyone please let me know if there is another way around this? Any other way to delete this test data???
    Thanks in advance

    Hi
Please go through the SAP documentation on how to perform deletion of customer master data.
This may help you in executing the function correctly.
    <b>Delete Customer Master Data</b>
In this activity, you delete the master records for customers by using a program. Only use this program in the test phase.
    Note
The company code for which master records are to be deleted, may not yet be flagged as productive.
Only master records for accounts which do not have any transaction data may be deleted.
    Requirements
The general customer master data is only deleted for customers who are not also created as customers in Sales and Distribution.
    Activities
Delete the master records for the required company codes.
    Additional information
Refer to the SAPF019 program documentation for further information on the program.
    Deleting Master Data
    Description
This program deletes master data in Financial Accounting and is designed for preparing the system for productive startup. It deletes:
    •     Customer master data
    •     Vendor master data
    •     G/L account master data
You can run this program in three different ways:
    1. Deleting general master data (in G/L accounts in one chart of accounts)
    2. Deleting master data dependent on company code
    3. Deleting general master data and master data dependent on company code
For each deletion run, you can specify whether or not the system should take into account the deletion flag in master records ("Delete per deletion flag only"). If it takes into account deletion flags, it uses the following standard logic:
Option 1: The "All areas" deletion flag must be set.
Option 2: The "Specified co. code" deletion flag must be set.
Option 3: It is sufficient to have the "All areas" deletion flag set.
Note: Deletion blocks are always checked at general data and company code-dependent data level. If there is a block at company code-dependent data level, then the general data is not deleted either. The deletion block takes precedence over the deletion flag.
General master data in Financial Accounting can also be used in other SAP applications:
    •     Customer master data in Sales and Distribution
    •     Vendor master data in Purchasing
    •     G/L accounts as primary cost elements in Cost Accounting
    The program deletes the following:
    •     Change documents for master data
    •     SAPscript text files
    •     The following data is deleted for customers:
    o     General master data
    o     Bank details
    o     VAT registration numbers
    o     Addresses
    o     Classifications
o     Credit management: across control areas
    o     Credit management: centrally
    o     Unloading points
    o     Tax indicators
    o     Contact persons
    o     Licenses
    o     Partner function limit
    o     Shipping data
o     Master data in the company code
    o     Dunning data
    o     Linked data
    •     The following data is deleted for vendors:
    o     General master data
    o     Bank details
    o     Contact persons
    o     VAT registration numbers
    o     Addresses
    o     Classifications
o     Master data in the company code
    o     Dunning data
    o     Linked data
    •     The following data is deleted for G/L accounts:
o     General master data in the chart of accounts
o     Names in the chart of accounts
o     Key word list in the chart of accounts
o     Master data in the company code
    o     Sample accounts, if selected
For customer and vendor contact persons, the addresses are not determined from central address management until the actual runtime. Therefore differences can arise as to the number of addresses in the detail log between the test run and the update run.
Automatic worklists for customers and vendors are also deleted with the general master data. Matchcodes are always deleted.
You may have to fix the number ranges after the program run.
The system makes changes to the database in the update run only. It will then also write a system log entry for documentation.
    Requirements
General master data can only be deleted if no other application makes reference to the account. Use the resetting programs from
    •     Sales and Distribution (customer master data)
    •     Purchasing (vendor master data)
    •     Cost Accounting (G/L account master data)
If you want to delete only general master data, master data dependent on company code cannot have been created in Financial Accounting.
If you want to delete master data in a test company code, master data dependent on company code cannot have been created in any other company code except the test company code. The productive indicator cannot be set for the company code.
If a customer or vendor is referenced by another customer or vendor (for example, via fiscal address or alternative payee), you can only delete the referenced master record by deleting the referencing master record at the same time.
Furthermore, you can only delete master data in Financial Accounting if no transactions have been posted to the corresponding accounts. If there are transaction figures in one of the selected accounts, you have to manually access and run program SAPF020 (reset transaction data from a company code) before you can delete that account.
    Output
The log lists every table which is processed in the program selection.
You can also create a detail log for each account type to find out why certain data cannot be deleted. The detail logs show you what other company codes and applications use the data and how customers and vendors are linked to one another.
    Note
Since deleting or displaying even smaller volumes of data can result in runtime problems, you should run this program as a background job. Currently, the program individually deletes matchcodes for each master record in the database. Several match code IDs refer to each matchcode. This can place a considerable load on the database.
You cannot delete transaction data in individual accounts.
Important: The archiving programs in Financial Accounting are designed for the productive system.
If you are running this deletion program for the first time, then you must start program SAPF047 before deletion in order to generate link information.
I hope this may be of help to you
    Good Luck
    Hari

  • Selective Deletion of Infocube data

    BW experts,
I have a scenario where in "rough" data already stored in an InfoCube will be replaced by a more "intelligent" data from another source. The deletion/replacement of data should happen without manual intervention (cause flat file data files arrive at a schedule time and should be loaded "automatically"into the cube) What are my options here? I currently know that it is possible to delete infocube contents using function module 'RSDRD_SEL_DELETION' (perhaps do it in the Update Rule).
    1) Is there another way (more "SAP Standard" or more "intelligent")?  I need to delete based on characteristics  that can be found in the file (e.g. the file has data for 0MATERIAL, 0CALWEEK).
    2) What are the "watch outs" for using function module 'RSDRD_SEL_DELETION'?
    Please advise.
    Thank you very much.

  • How to delete name company?

Edited by: rachelhel on Apr 21, 2009 3:59 AM

    Hi,
you can change company name in the company details window --> tab general --> sub tab local language --> field Company Name.
To change the database name, you must do that directly in the SQL server --> Click databases folder --> click once the database you want to rename --> right click : select rename. Make sure that all of users have been log out prior to change the database name.
let me know if not resolved

  • Delete unused master data of a characteristic in BW7.30

    Hi
I try to delete some master data entries in a characteristic.
Unfortunately I got an error message:
Lock of master data attributes deletion is set.
Then BW 7.30 set an entry for the characteristic in the table RSMASD (Lock Table for Master Data Deletion) and I canu2019t delete the master data.
I try to delete the master data via a job (maintain master data) and manually (select the wrong master data in the table -> delete and save the table), but I get the same error message above.
I also delete all open lock entries in SM12 and try again, but wonu2019t solve the issue.
Can someone explain me why BW 7.30 set the master data lock and how I can delete the unused master date of this characteristic?
    Best regards
    Tobias

Anyone with a solution for this? We have the exact same problem.
Can the record in RSMASD be deleted?
I created a new InfoObject and inserted a new masterdata text record. Then I tried to delete it immediatly, and i got the same error. If the object is in RSMASD, it gives a shortdump in ST22. If there's no record in RSMASD, then it gives a error (Lock not set...)

Inconvertible key at an Open SQL work area operation.
    What happened?
Error in the ABAP Application Program
The current ABAP program "CL_RSDMDD_DELETE==============CP" had to be
          terminated because it has
come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
    Error analysis
In the Open SQL work area operation used, the work area in the key part
must be convertible to a database table.
For Unicode semantics this means the Unicode fragment views must
correspond in length to the databse key.
In non-Unicode systems, both structures must be flat for the length of
the database key, with the exception of string components. This means
that the key parts may not contain either references or internal tables.
In this case the key of the database table has a width of 14 bytes.
    Thanks.

click and hold on one cell, then drag to select the range, then release, then type the delete key.  Only inlude cells in the range you do not want to keey the contents of the cell.  You can remove one-off cells by holding the command key and clicking cells to add or remove as needed.

you might need a NEXT_RECORD or CREATE_RECORD to go to the next reord in that block. It would be easier to help if we knew your code.

  • Delete Vendor Master Data in a Purchasing Organization

    Hello Experts
I want to delete a Vendor Master Record that I have created, but not mark for deletion, I want to delete from the system.
I saw the transaction OBR2 to delete master redords, but I found that it is only possible to delete vendor for a Company Code. So how can I also delete the view of these vendors for the purchasing organzation?
    Thank you in advance,
    Best regards

    Hi,
You can set the deletion at t.code via XK06 used to set the Flag for deletion .
    Company code data,
    Purchasing organisation data,
    General data,
    All area
Here,Check-box used to flagged the Vendor master to set the flag for deletion.
By using transaction OBR2 can set the deletion flag for the vendor master data not at purchasing and company code level.
