Deploy error whe using VI packet library option

Hi,
I'm performing a deploy using TS2010 SP1 (4.5.1) & LV 2011 SP1 and I'm trying to use the new deploy option for the VI's "Packed Project Library".
The deploy succeed, but when executing the sequence all VI calls performed via the "Run VI asynch" step type doesn't execute.
Opening the deployed sequence and going to these steps TS signals that the VI prototype is changed. After doing the update everything works fine.
Do you know if this is a deployment utility bug? Seems that the utility doesn't update the VI prototype correctly into the deployed sequence file.
Clearly if we perform the deploy in a standard manner (not using packed library) the deployment is working correctly.
Waiting for an answer.

Hi Rick,
I'm  very sorry to reply just yet but the activities (inside the company) runs very quickly so I haven't time to prepare a demo.
Now I prepared it.
In the attach you find the sources with also the deploy setup (tsw + tsd) and also the deploy result.
As you can see opening the sequence into the deployed image the sequence isn't running cause an error is caught due to a prototype error on Asynch called VI.
It is necessary to reload the VI prototype (just opening).
We used TS 4.5.1 (2010) SP 1 & LV 2011 SP1 f2.
Let us know.

  • Deployment error when using several ejb-jar files

    Hello All,
I am having problems with deployment of my J2EE application. My EAR file has several EJB-JARs, one for each entity bean. However I refer to the other EJBs in one EJB. Hence I included the <ejb-ref> element in the deployment descriptor of the entity bean. But I am getting the deployment error that "the bundle does not contain the bean name". I tried to change the <ejb-name> value (within the <ejb-ref> element) to the JNDI name of the EJB I am referring to, and also added the <ejb-link> tag specifying the location of the JAR file that has the EJB. None of the attempts worked.
Can someone help me out on how I am supposed to go about when I have several ejb-jar files as opposed to a single one? I am deploying my app on Sun ONE AS 7.0.
    Thank you,
PS: I am posting this message on several forum topics. Please disregard this message if you have seen/answered this message. Thanks.

    Hello,
Thanks for the response. I have got both Local and Remote EJB References, but for the JAR (where the ejbc compiler stopped) that I have an error, it is the local reference.

  • Deploy Error when using Stateful Session Bean inside Webdynpro

    Hi,
I'm trying to create a webdynpro project that uses a stateful session bean
I have created DC's for a EJB Module project, Enterprise Application and Webdynpro component. Created the bean, built it, added it's package to the public part, added the EJB Module to the EAR project. Built the EAR project. Added the EJB Module project and Enterprise Application project as a used DC in the Webdynpro DC.
In the Webdynpro DC I added com.sap.archive-packaging.default.update-descriptors=true in the build.properties file of the cfg directory. (using the navigator view) That resolved an error while building it.
Deployed the Enterprise Application DC without problems.
Tried to deploy the Webdynpro DC but I get the following error:

    Default is 30mts.
This is done as a parameter in orion-ejb-jar.xml. Please look at the EJB Guide at http://otn.oracle.com/docs/products/ias/doc_library/903doc_otn/generic.903/a97677/dtdxml.htm#634197 for details

  • Error when using HFM Web Library HFMwApplications.dll in a 64 bits env

    Hi all,
we are trying to create an object from HFMwManageApplications class in a 64 bits environment but we receive an error saying "ActiveX component can't create object...."
    Our code is:
    Set oClient = CreateObject("Hyperion.HFMwManageApplications")
This was perfectly working in another 32-bits environment.
We also tried to register the 32-bits version of HFMwApplications.dll in the 64-bits env but same results.
    Any advice?
    thanks!

That's one way of doing it.
You could also try enabling 32 bit in IIS:
    1. Open a command prompt and navigate to %systemdrive%\Inetpub\AdminScripts.
    2. Enter this command:cscript.exe adsutil.vbs get W3SVC/AppPools/Enable32BitAppOnWin64
    3. If the command returns "false", run this command; setting it to "true":
    cscript.exe adsutil.vbs set W3SVC/AppPools/Enable32BitAppOnWin64 "true"
    4. Restart your computer.

  • Deployed Android project using Flash Builder Burrito not working on mobiles

    Hi,
I have created a simple "Hello World" Application using Flash Builder Burrito SDK. I have tested the result in the emulator it is working great.
After that i deployed the application using "Export Release Build Option" and entered valid certificate details and created the .apk file. I copied the .apk file into the device and i run the application. Iam unable to run the app. I have tried these in 3 android supported devices and in each of these i am getting different error messages. I have mentioned the device in which i have tested and the error message i got while i tried to install the app (.apk file)
HTC Desire - "Error while parsing the package of the application"
Samsung Galaxy Tab - "Error while parsing the package of the application"
LG Optimus one (LG P500) - "Application not installed"
I have created a New Mobile Project in the flash SDK and added simple label "HELLO WORLD" in the view section.
Before deploying i have installed Adobe AIR 2.5 in the device.
Whether iam missing any of the steps to deploy correctly in the device. If so, please let me know. Also i need to know whether any restrictions are there for applications developed using Flash Burrito Preview Release. (whether by default all android mobile version more than 2.1 will support it?)
Also when i try to install "Tour De Mobile Flex" apk in LG Optimus, it is saying "Device not supported" message.
How do i overcome these problems to run the apk file without any problems.
If you need any other detail please let me know, i will explain it in detail.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Srinivasan.C

Ok, this is an old post but i still needed a couple of hours to find a solution, so here we go:
    - Most likely you have TWO executable build targets in your project (two mxml that you can launch). If so, go to the Project settings > Flex Applications and remove the one you don't need so you only have one.
    - My case was a bit complex though - i was using an ANE and Coldfucion server. In this case change the Output folder in the Project Properties > Flex Server > Output folder to something like "temp" instead of "C:..." generated by Flex Builder. The Android device gets confused by a "C:" reference but still can understand a local "temp" folder
I hope i have saved your day

  • Is there a way to have iPhoto NOT use the Photo Library on the Main drive?

I have thousands of pictures going waaay back to when iPhoto first came out. Most are on disc and on backup drives. I want to use the external drives to work from, within iPhoto. Is this possible?
I just got a Mac Mini and since i have a lot of external drives(over 6TB, I'm a pro photographer) I didn't need the larger main drive. I like to use iPhoto for snapshots of my family and friends and quickie uploads for them.
    Thanks.

    sure
Moving the iPhoto library is safe and simple - quit iPhoto and drag the iPhoto library intact as a single entity to the external drive - depress the option key and launch iPhoto using the "select library" option to point to the new location on the external drive - fully test it and then trash the old library on the internal drive (test one more time prior to emptying the trash)
And be sure that the External drive is formatted Mac OS extended (journaled) (iPhoto does not work with drives with other formats) and that it is always available prior to launching iPhoto
And backup soon and often - having your iPhoto library on an external drive is not a backup and if you are using Time Machine you need to check and be sure that TM is backing up your external drive

Hi guys, I have the same problem. I have an application EAR file with two modules (EJB and WAR starting in this order). The application can schedule a process via EJB timer. In this case restarting the server I receive the error above. If I change the modules start order --> WAR - EJB the server start correctly, but the application scheduler fails (the persistency is not working) with this error:

  • Using LabVIEW Packed Library within TestStand Deployment Tool

I am wondering what could be the interest of generating Packed Library within the TestStand Deployment Tool since the sequences using these VIs will not be able to find the dependant VIs included into the build Packed Library on the deployment target.
Any experience using Packed Library within TestStand Deployment Tool ?

    Jiggawax,
    Sorry for the confusion,
My question concerns the developement of Custom Step Types.
For example, within a project or as an independant product.
The best practices is to avoid using main module when developing CST in order to preserve evolutivity (main module calling paramters are copied within CST instances and could need prototype updating). I prefer using PostStep (as NI does for its own CST).
Thus, when creating the CST palette, I have to configure the EditStep and the PostStep and define each VI call.
If I want to distribute these VIs through a .lvlibp, then I need to build a .lvlibp very early and use it within my CST palette.
This .lvlibp will be used on deployed benches and may not contain VI diagrams and debug options (best performance).
But during the development of my CSTs, if I need to debug the VIs called when using CST whitin a sequence, and if I don't want to change the called VIs defined in my CST palette, then I need to regenerate this .lvlibp with debug option (different from the deployment .lvlibp) in order to allow debug.
May be it could be interesting that the TestStand deployment tool take into account SubSteps when selecting the Packed Library option. This tool is able to modify sequences, it could be able to change also palette configuration file.
This will allow to have only two levels :
     > Source and Debug (VIs)
     > Deployment (.lvlibp)
    instead of three :
     > Source (VIs)
     > Debug (.lvlibp with debug option)
     > Deployment (.lvlibp)

  • Fatal error using C++ native library

    Hi everyone,
I'm currently developing a JNI native library in C++ in order to use an original library from a third vendor. I'm trying to perform a very simple operation, just calling a concrete method from the original library from a Java sample application.
The same test in C++ is working fine, so I assume the vendor library is working correctly. But if I perform exactly the same code from within my native library using JNI, it give a crash like this:
    # A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment:
    # SIGSEGV (0xb) at pc=0x000000371c880580, pid=17095, tid=1077307712
    # JRE version: 6.0_27-b07
    # Java VM: Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (20.2-b06 mixed mode linux-amd64 compressed oops)
    # Problematic frame:
    # C [libc.so.6+0x80580] wchar_t+0x0
I think this is telling me that there was an error in the native library, more concrete in the libc.so library which is part of the GNU C++ compiler used to generate the native library. I don't know what the "wchar_t" wants to mean, since I know that is a primitive type for wide chars. It might be that the error is related to the use of this primitive within the vendor library?
The compilation options that I'm using are the following:
    #CCFLAGS = -shared -Wl,-soname,${TARGET} -lstdc++ -ldl -lpthread -fopenmp
CCFLAGS = -shared -Wl,-soname,${TARGET} -ldl -fopenmp
    #FPFLAGS = -DLINUX -DGX_NAMESPACES -fPIC -fshort-wchar
    #FPFLAGS = -fPIC -fshort-wchar
    FPFLAGS = -fPIC
    ${TARGET} : FPEnginePulnixImpl.o
         ${CC} -o ${TARGET} FPEnginePulnixImpl.o ${CCFLAGS} -L${JAI_DIR} -lVrs
    FPEnginePulnixImpl.o :
         ${CC} -o FPEnginePulnixImpl.o -I"${JDK_INCLUDES}" -I"${JDK_INCLUDES_LINUX}" -I"../jni/include" -I"${JAI_INCLUDES}" ${FPFLAGS} -c ../src/main/C++/FPEnginePulnixImpl.cc
I played around with those ones, without success so far. I debugged the native code and I know the crash is coming when I call a constructor of a C++ class of the vendor library. Is there something I could do about this? BTW, on Windows is working fine, but indeed, the vendor library is a different one. I've got the impression that there's something in the JNI wrapper of the JDK6 that I'm using that makes the vendor library to crash, either that or something wrong with the compilation of my native library.
    Any help will be welcome.
    Thanks and regards,
    Luis

Most often errors are caused by
    1. Pointer errors
    2. Api misuse, such as using something in the wrong order (which actually leads to a pointer problem but it not really the cause.)
Keep in mind that the fact that code runs 'ok' on one system is NOT a safe indicator that the above problems do not exist.
If it is not that then if the binaries have incompatible build properties then that can cause problems.
