Deploy Java class to database from jDeveloper
In 10g version I could create a deployment profile for deploying java class directly to the database from within jdeveloper. Looks like when you create a deployment profile in 11g that is no longer an option. Has the process changed, or was that functionality flat out removed?

How can I locate EBS FND security java classes being referenced from packages?
Hi All,
I need to load few java classes in database whose methods are being called from SQL packages. For example, package FND_WEB_SEC calls methods from java class "oracle.apps.fnd.security.WebSessionManagerProc"
Which means I need to load this class on my db for it to be used correctly.
I am unable to locate this and few other java classes.
Can anyone suggest where can I find these?
Thanks,
IshwarHi Ishwar,
Please have a look at the forum search, as it would be of assistance..

How can I execute a java class with arguments from an air application built from mxml?
I have an mxml application. It has a button, and when that button select event occurs, I want my mxml air app to pass arguments to a java class I have built, which resides in a package path on my system. I need to be able to pass several arguments to my java method from my mxml call. How do I do this, and what config files are necessary? For the simple task I want to engineer, can you show me an example of a properly configured config file? My java class has been executed at the command line in the past as follows:
java -cp %CP% com.abc.prism.queue.EmitMessage XYZ "my message text" 192.12.13.14 5672
where %CP% is an env variable that tells my class the classpath it runs with, and XYZ, "my message text", the IP address, and the port are the arguments I must pass from mxml to my java class. How do I accomplish this?
How do I make known to the java class I call from mxml the %CP% class path? It tells my java class where to find various rabbitMQ jars.Hi,
You need to use Integration technology like BlazeDS or LCDS. -
Call Java Class and Methods from ABAP
Hi
I install de JCo, But how i can call java class and methods from ABAP?. somebody has an example?
The tutorial say that's is possible, but don't explain how do that?

Deploying java class that uses oraclexmlsql.jar
Hi,
I'm trying to deploy a java class that I wrote. It simply gets some data out of my oracle database as xml using the oraclexmlsql package. It works fine when I compile it within JDeveloper.
When I try to deploy it JDeveloper gives out the following error:
Errors in xmlquerydb:
ORA-29521: refferenced name oracle/xml/sql/query/OracleXMLQuery could not be found
loadjava: 1 errors
I can't figure out why that happens. I have used other classes and deployed them as Java stored Procedure and they work fine.
Thanks for help
AndreI tried to load the oraclexmlsql.jar into the shema where I put my class. The classes from this jar were loaded but can not be compiled( apart from 3 ). I also tried loading my class into sys but I still can't compile it or the oraclexmlsql.jar classes.
Is the xsu12.jar a collection of all the classes that are allready in Sys after the database install?
I have noticed that on expanding the oraclexmlsql.jar file has a strange format and two classes classes are in the directory from which I expanded the jar. These two classes do not get a synonym on loading into the db. Could that have anything to do with it?
Thanks for more help

Where deploy Java class in XI 3.0?
Hi all,
I have created a Java class for Jco connection and I have created .jar file.
At this point where must I copy .jar file in XI server???
And what activities must I do for using my classes with message mapping???
Thans in advance,
Michele.Michele,
We are facing a quite similar situation with XI 3.0. What we've found is that the only methods available for integrating Java code is either
a) Import a JAR archive into a specific software component
b) Create a Java proxy to a J2EE environment where you
implement your Java as EJBs.
We're still investigating these and other possible options.
Perhaps you need to install your JAR archive into each of the relevant components (I'm not sure if this works.)
Another possible alternative could be to identify where the JRE is installed on your XI server and deploy your classes in the lib extensions. (i.e. put your jar file in something like C:\j2sdk1.4.2_04\jre\lib\ext and restart the server) You should then be able to access these from anywhere, though I'm not sure what SAP would say about this solution.

Unable to Connect to Oracle 10gR1 database from JDeveloper 11g using OCI
We are migrating our application from OC4J to Weblogic server. As a part, I am trying to create a database connection in JDeveloper 11g (11.1.1.3.0 - Build JDEVADF_11.1.1.3.PS2_GENERIC_100408.2356.5660) to Oracle 10gR1 database. Previously I had Oracle 10g Client installed in the machine. Created a database connection using OCI driver and when I try to test connect, I got "Test Failed: no ocijdbc11 in java.library.path". I searched through Metalink and forums and one suggestion was to install Oracle 11g Client on the machine where Jdeveloper 11g is installed. I installed 11g R1 client and tried the same test connection using OCI driver. Now I am getting "Test failed: ORA-12705: Cannot access NLS data files or invalid environment specified" error.
The same database connection works good with Thin driver with both Oracle 10g client and 11gR1 client.
Previously I had Jdeveloper 10.1.3.2 and Oracle 10g Client and I was able to connect to database without any errors.
Could you provide me the steps for this or if I missed any steps?
Steps to Replicate:
For the error: no ocijdbc11 in java.library.path
1) Install JDeveloper 11g (With embedded Weblogic Server)
2) Install Oracle 10g Client on the same machine
3) Create a database connection in the "Application Resources --> Connection"
4) Use OCI driver. Enter the host details about the Oracle 10g R1 database
5) Test connect to the database.
ORA-12705: Cannot access NLS data files or invalid environment specified
1) Install JDeveloper 11g (With embedded Weblogic Server)
2) Install Oracle 11gR1 Client on the same machine
3) Create a database connection in the "Application Resources --> Connection"
4) Use OCI driver. Enter the host details about the Oracle 10g R1 database
5) Test connect to the database.
Note: Tried the same scenarios with Oracle 11gR2 client as well. It was not working at all.
Any ideas and pointers would be great.1. will my problem get solved after i install oracle 11g client on my machine.Yes, your problem should get solved. The version of the Oracle 11g Client must match the version of the JDev's JDBC drivers. Alternatively you may install an Oracle 11g Client and replace JDev's Oracle JDBC drivers with these from the installed client. Please, read carefully my 1st posting above in this thread.
2. can i patch JDeveloper 11g on my machine to work with 10g client, or can i do the same with 10g client. You might succeed if you replace JDev's built-in JDBC drivers (which are 11g versions) with 10g versions, but I do not recommend you to try that because JDeveloper 11g and ADF 11g may be using some 11g features that do not exist in 10g drivers, so you may have problems.
I also have PLSql developer installed on my machine and it works well.PL/SQL Developer does not use JDBC drivers, so it is not an relevant example in this case.
My generall recommendation is to use Oracle JDBC Thin drivers. Oracle claimed that OCI drivers had better performance, but this was really true about earlier releases. Current Oracle 11g JDBC Thin drivers offer excellent performance and they offer all the features of the OCI versions (which was not true about earlier releases). In my opinion, the most important disadvantage of Oracle JDBC OCI drivers is that most versions have native memory leaks so all the RAM would get consumed after long application execution. The fact that WebLogic Server does not offer Oracle JDBC OCI drivers by default anymore says that Oracle discourages the usage of the OCI driver in favour of Thin driver.

Compiling and putting java classes in database schema
hi..good evening to all...
I have total 7 java classes which i have to compile and put in the database schema. those 7 classes are interdependent on each other thats why there is a particular order of execution.
i want to compile and put them in the schema thorugh the command line.
i have tried doing this one by one by executing the following command in cmd...
D:\>loadjava -u username/password@sid -v -resolve javaclassname.java
then its working fine..
But i have to do this in one time i.e i have to compile and put all the 7 classes in schema by a single command.
Thats why i have put all the 7 classes one by one in the required order...save the file as 'java_sources.java' and then run the following command...
D:\>loadjava -u username/password@sid -v -resolve java_sources.java
but it is not working... :(
please help...thanks in advanceHi,
It is not required to load one by one class files into the schema. Can create a jar file for all the class files and load the jar file using the '-o' option in loadjava
eg:
loadjava -u username/password@sid -v -r -o jar_file_name.jarI hope you might use any IDE to develop the java class files. All the IDE have option to develop jar file if not get oracle JDeveloper for easy option.
Check the version of jdk used in your oracle server and use appropiate version of Jdeveloepr and compile the classes.
If your class files use any builtin library jar files those also need to be loaded.
As thomaso said if pasted with errors can resovle easier

How to hot deploy java class?
I write some java class and put them into the weblogic\class folder to

I was unable to achieve hot deployment using REDEPLOY file.

You need to create a REDEPLOY file and touch the file.
From the documentations:
Dynamic Redeployment of Exploded Applications
You can also dynamically redeploy applications or application components
that have been deployed in exploded format. When an application has been
deployed in exploded format, the Administration Server periodically looks
for a file named REDEPLOY in the exploded application directory. If the
timestamp on this file changes, the Administration Server redeploys the
exploded directory.
If you want to update files in an exploded application directory, do the
following:
a.. When you first deploy the exploded application, create an empty file
named REDEPLOY in the directory where the exploded application resides.
b.. To update the exploded application, copy the updated files over the
existing files in that directory.
c.. After copying the new files, touch the REDEPLOY file in the exploded
directory to alter its timestamp.
When the Administration Server detects the changed timestamp, it redeploys
the contents of the exploded directory.

Configuring remote XE Database from Jdeveloper
Hi
How can I configure a remote Oracle XE from Jdeveloper which is in my maschine.
I am using Jdeveloper 10.1.3.4.0
RegardsWhat do you mean "configure a remote Oracle XE"? What do you want to configure? You can certainly create a connection to that database in JDeveloper, and in the SQL Worksheet you can do pretty much anything that you can do in SQL or PL/SQL. You can also use the UML modelling tools against that database.

One possibility for the deployment failure is that the target Database may not support JDK version 1.3. Updating your Project Properties compiler Source & Target to an earlier release could fix this problem.

Failed deployment to standalone oc4j server from JDeveloper 10.1.2
Built a simple application using JHeadStart 10.1.2
I could deploy it when I defined the datasource connections inside the application. When I changed the datasource connections to refur to the jndi lookup values found in data-sources.xml it works only on the oc4j app server embedded into jdeveloper 10.1.2.
When I deploy the ear file to my standalone version it fails with the following stack trace:

at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:534)ok - this is just wierd - I get an object back from the jndi context. .getClass().getName identifies it as an instance of OrionCMTDataSource, which is a subclass of OrionPooledDataSource which implements javax.sql.DataSource.
I should be able to cast the object directly to a DataSource type, but when I try it throws a ClassCast exception.
If I Cast to an OrionCMTDataSource then to a DataSource it casts correctly... WTF ?!?
oh - and my ADF application is still broken...
