Deploy the PTPORTALREGISTRY  - PeopleSoft search framework

Hi,
I have installed PeopleSoft search framework using OSES.
When I try to deploy the PTPORTALREGISTRY search definition, the page is getting signed out from the below navigation.
Main menu – PeopleTools – Search FrameWork – Administration – Deploy/Delete Object.
Any help on this is highly appereciated.
Thanks
Soundappan

I experienced the same issue when running on an environment where HCM Feature Pack 2 was installed manually with PeopleTools 8.52.06.
After a fresh install of HCM FP2 Revision recut with PeopleTools 8.52.09 it works as a charm.
If you are not on 8.52.09, you might want to patch your tools.
Otherwise try to following to clean static state of PeopleSoft and SES and then redeploy the definition.

  • PeopleSoft search framework

    Hi,
Is it possible to configure multiple PeopleSoft applications with a single Oracle SES to use PeopleSoft search?
    Thanks
    Soundappan

    Hi,
    Got the Solution.
    Please find the below.
1.all of them should be sharing single SES instance.
2.There should be single sign on setup between these DB's
3.SES identity plugin can only point to one of the app database and this needs to have union of all the user id's across systems (In 8.53 Oracle researching of possibilities to remove this limitation)
4.Each database call back URL should be setup to call back to it self.
If you are sharing a single gateway please append node names in IB service configuration URL and call back URL's.
    Thank You!
    Best Regards

  • Search to be brought to the masthead of my framework page.

    Hi all,
I need to bring the search textbox and a button i.e the km search iview to the masthead of my framework page. Its urgent. Can anyone help me out.
    Regards.
    PP

    Hi PP,
To do this you will need to make modifications to a few files.  First you should go to System Administration -> Support -> Portal Runtime -> Browse Deployment, and from here you will need to save the following files to your local drive: com.sap.portal.navigation.masthead.par.bak and com.sap.portal.navigation.toolarea.par.bak.
Next you should import the masthead project into Eclipse/NWDS.  You will make changes to the HeaderiView.jsp, portalapp.xml, and also headeriView_nls*.properties (for each language that you are using).  Basically what you need to do is merge the code from the toolarea files into the masthead files.
After all of the changes are made, you will then create a par file from the project (remember to rename it to something other than com.sap.portal.navigation.masthead.par, I suggest com.companyname.portal.navigation.masthead.par, where companyname is your company name)  and import it back into the PCD by going to System Administration -> Support -> Portal Runtime -> Administration Console.
    This should work for you.

  • Deploying the UPK recorded content in Peoplesoft Weblogic server.

    Hi,
I have  Peoplesoft UPK recoded content with me and also have document for configuring help menu with the UPK content.
It's appreciated If some one can help me in knowing steps (or) any documents for deploying the UPK recorded content in Peoplesoft Weblogic server.
Also I don't want to install PeopleBook in the weblogic server.
    Thanks
    Soundappan

There are two out of the box ways to enable UPK with PeopleSoft.
PeopleBooks > PeopleTools 8.52: PeopleTools Portal Technologies > Configuring UPK Topics as Related Content Services
PeopleBooks > PeopleTools 8.52: PeopleSoft Application Designer Developer's Guide > Configuring Embedded Help to Display UPK Content
    Hope this helps.

  • SEARCH Framework Trees missing

    Hello,
We are trying to setup OSES search for PeopleSoft. After finishing all the steps that were given in the document, we can make connections between PeopleSoft and OSES. It is all working fine.
Current issue is that when i try to do "Audit" in Deploy / Delete, it is showing "Fail" status. Here is the message that i am getting
    Delete query security Check
User does not have access to query/records involved in the query
Digging further, we found out that SEARCH Framework Trees are missing. Not sure how? We don't have demo region as our demo comes from state comptroller.
    How do i fix it?
    Let me know.

What is the Application and PUM image version this is on?  PeopleSoft application version 9.2  should deliver the SES Options but it will not be available on Application Version 9.1 or prior unless you are on the highest bundles of HCM,  other applications will still use Verit for search until upgraded to 9.2.

  • Error deploying the application with Crystal Report

    Hello,
I'm using Visual Studio 2010 and I installed the required version of crystal report for it. I'm developing a windows Application with C# and Crystal Reports. The program runs correctly in the visual studio but when I tried to deploy it by adding the setup it gives me the following warnings:
    - Unable to find dependency 'MICROSOFT.VISUALSTUDIO' (Signature='B03F5F7F11D50A3A' Version='1.0.5000.0') of assembly 'crdb_adoplus.dll'
+- The 'SAP Crystal Reports Runtime Engine for .NET Framework 4.0' item selected requires 'Microsoft.Net.Framework.2.0'. Select the missing prerequisite in the Prerequisites Dialog Box or create a bootstrapper package for the missing prerequisite.     +
    - No 'HomeSite' attribute has been provided for '.NET Framework 2.0 SP2', so the package will be published to the same location as the bootstrapper.
I tried to ignore the warnings and deploy it but when I try to open the crystal report and in the program it gives me an error message then an empty report.
I also tried in the Prerequisites to choose the option : Download prerequisites from the same location as my application. but when I do that I receive the following errors:
    - The install location for prerequisites has not been set to 'component vendor's web site' and the file 'MDAC28\mdac_typ.exe' in item 'Microsoft Data Access Components 2.8' can not be located on disk. See Help for more information.
    - General failure building bootstrapper.
    - Unrecoverable building error.
of course In addition to the previous error.
I'm not using the click-once deployment.
Can you please help and advice me with that? I tried to search through the net for these warnings but with no luck of the solution.
    Thank you,

No, .Net Framework 2 is not installed. I'm using windows 7 so I installed .Net framework 4. I tried to Install .Net 2 but it doesn't install because of windows 7. I also tried to add it in the prerequisites but again with no luck in solving the issue.
If I try to deploy the App and install it. When I try to open the crystal report the app crushes and gives me the following error:

Hi, i'm a newbie of SAP NWDS.
I have installed the NWDS 7.2 and Java JDK 1.6, the AS java is SAP J2EE Engine/7.01.
When i go to deploy the Welcome application i recive this errors:
There is no component either in SDM repository or in Deployment batch that resolves the dependency.
    dependency:
           name:     'tc/bl/logging/api'
         vendor:     'sap.com'

There is no component either in SDM repository or in Deployment batch that resolves the dependency.
I think that my version of NWDS it's too new for the AS.
Have i to install an older version of NWDS and Java JDK?
    What do you think?
    Thanks.

So i read that the Database is OK, but the Index is broken somewhow ?
I`ve read somewhere that i should delete the GUID Folder and restart the Hostcontroller service, can somebody explain HOW to do this ? where can i Find the GUID Folder ? Is it the correct way to solve this problem ?
    thx in advance!

    Hi,
after i removed the suggested Folder, i disabled both "Microsoft Exchange Search service and Microsoft Exchange Search Host Controller service, than i restarted the Exchange Server.
After that i restarted both services.
Sadly nothing has changed, hostcontroller.exe is still crashing:
The Microsoft Exchange Search Host Controller service terminated unexpectedly.  It has done this 153 time(s).  The following corrective action will be taken in 30 milliseconds: Restart the service.
    The sequence is like this:
    First the Search controller starts:
Search HostController Starts: Service started successfully.
    After that the hostcontroller crashes:
    .NET Runtime: Application: hostcontrollerservice.exe
    Framework Version: v4.0.30319
Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception.
    Exception Info: Microsoft.Ceres.HostController.Controller.HostControllerException

An help will be much .

    Hi There...
    Oracle explains:
    The cause of the problem:
While defining an Exposed Service for your composite you used the option Generate WSDL from schemas and selected elements or types from one of more XML schema (.xsd) files to define the various message parts for input or outputs to the service. One of these message parts was defined by selecting from a schema an element or type that is not associated with an XML namespace.
Therefore at deployment time, if the WSDL file for the exposed service defines a default namespace, all elements must belong to either the default namespace or any namespace explicitly defined for each element or type. Since there is no XML namespace associated with the "no namespace" XML element or type in question there is no namespace prefix that can be used to identify the relevant XML namespace.
    Solution:
    1. Ensure all elements and types use an XML namespace.
Adjust the original XSD so that the offending "no namespace" elements/types are associated with a namespace.
    2. Modify the WSDL for the service to allow No Namespace elements/types to be used
Whilst is is not possible to give a fixed sequence of steps to achieve this, essentially:
ensure the definitions element in the WSDL document does not use an xmlns="xxxx" attribute to set a default namespace
without a default namespace, ensure all other elements in the document that are expected to be associated with the previous default namespace have an explicit
    namespace declaration

  • How to Compile & Deploy the Java Concurrent Program File

    Hi,
There is a requirement to create the Java Concurrent Program in Oracle eBusiness. I am able to create the Java Concurrent Program file. But unable to do the following things:
1.Since it is custom file, which location I will deploy the file?
    2. How to compile the file?
    3. In the execution file path and executable file name what should I specify for JCP?
    Please guide me.
    Thanks

Please see (How to register and execute Java Concurrent Program ?in Oracle Applications R11i ? [ID 186301.1]) for the complete steps (i.e. define concurrent program and add it to the request group, .etc.) -- This is also applicable to R12.

  • How to move the code and deploy the code from Dev environment to SIT.

    Hi,
    I have a requirement.
I want to move the components and deploy the code from dev Environment to SIT environment using Ant Script for AIA.
Before doing this is any pre-requisites required?
Can you please help on this, how to do?
    Thanks in advance.

Further to add to Anish Statement follow the steps to easily migrate the code to different environment.
    Steps:
First log on to the EM Console and export the Composite Flow as a SAR file to a location.
In Jdeveloper create a project using the same name of a SAR file like - ProcessSalesorderFlow
import the project using the option import the composite using a SAR File.
After import , then click on the composite and then generate the config plan.
In config plan add all the url changes using the search and replace Tags.
And in case if you have a JCA Adapters the same has to be taken care in SIT environment why because during deployment a lookup happens and deployment fails if it dont find the JNDI Name.
Take the SAR file adn config plan seperately from JDeveloper.
Now open em console again and then deploy it using the config file and SAR file.
    Thanks,
