Deploying midlets over bluetooth from linux
Hi,
Does anyone have any advice for deploying midlets over bluetooth from linux.
I am using a Nokia 6230 phone and I am running fedora core 1.
using gnome-obex-send i can send any file to the phone and it will pick it up. It doesn't know what to do with .jad and .jar files though, and asks me if I want to store them in my media folders.
Is this a fault with the phone or the method I am using to send the midlet?

Hi,
I tried to deploy the application only from a Window PC. I send the jar only throug "Send File" and the phone receives it as a message. Then I click on the message and I can install the jar. I tried only with Nokia 6600

Cannot connect to printer over network from Linux
When I run hp-setup, I can get the printer listed but it appears to refuse to communicate with the device. Same problem for wired ethernet as well as wireless.
Please help, I think I have tried everything by now...
Firewall disabled on the workstation does not help. Talking to the printers web interface (:8080) works perfectly. The printer works perfectly via USB. Also works fine from another windows PC (networked)

You cannot. iOS devices do not support file transfer from another type of device via Bluetooth. You'll need to either email the files to yourself, use a cloud-based service such as Dropbox, or sync the files to your computer so you can then sync them to your iPad.

When streaming music over bluetooth from my 3rd generation ipod touch to a sony device it jumps every 10 seconds and not just when moving or anything other devices do not do this just the ipod how can I fix this?
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset the Sony device
- Unsync all music and resync
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. You will have to repair the device and rejoin all wifi networks
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

How can i print to my officejet 100 mobile printer from an android device over bluetooth?
I'm stumped here. I've installed the printer on my Windows PC. I'm able to pair with it (Bluetooth) from my Android tablet (Galaxy 10.1"). I've tried using a variety of printing programs from the Android Marketplace, but I can't get anything to print.
When I try with PrinterShare, it asks me to select the printer. When I select the OfficeJet 100, I'm told that the application can't find a driver for the printer.
Note to HP: You definitely need to improve the documentation on this printer. The docs that came with my printer make no mention of Android, and finding anything useful online is practically impossible. Very disappointing.

No sound from GB over Bluetooth connection
The function to perform sound of Garageband over Bluetooth doesn't work well!
The I-pad settings to play sound over BT are correct.
The pairing with my (bluetooth) VOIIS gateway was succesful.
Music (sound) from my I-Pad (i.e. Music APP) is transmitted correct to my amplifier through this device.
The special setting in Garageband have been done ( sound over Bluetoorth/HDMI)
however the sound of Garageband over Bluetooth is not transmitted to my BT device.
Without Bluetooth setting it is working well (sound from I-pad speakers (i should say squeeckers ))The problem is solved!
I did what you suggest a couple of times, but i had no luck.
What might have somehow fixed the problem: I opened iWeb, and then previewed a GB song to import. It played great.
Then I opened GB and everything worked...

Hi there, I'm facing the following error when deploying node.js application to azure websites. I have read enough articles which points me to install visual studio. I'm on a linux desktop and i'd like to use the git to deploy website. I tried changing to

The most important thing is that you need to ensure that WebLogic is start the Java command with debugging options. This is in the JDev documentation in the topic "Starting a Java Process in Debug Mode".
If you have JSP's and servlets you have other steps as well. I have included the generic steps for any application server. We have plans to post a 'How to remote debug JSP's deployed on Weblogic' in the near future. Keep posted.
1. You need to replace WebLogic's JSP engine with OJSP and you need to
setup debugging parameters for OJSP. This is not specifically in the JDev documentation, but you may be able to apply the information found in the topic "Remote Debugging in OC4J".
Here are some tips:
A. You'll probably need to specify the following jars in some WebLogic config file. The jar files are all located in <jdev_install>/lib/
xmlparserv2.jar
ojc.jar
jdev-rt.jar
ojsp.jar

B. Add these jar files to the VM's classpath

IPhone 5 won't play audio over Bluetooth in 2012 Lexus GX 460
My iPhone 5 can connect via Bluetooth to my 2012 Lexus GX460. I can make and receive calls over car speaker/Bluetooth.
However, when I attempt to connect and play music, it says Bluetooth connection failed -- Please see portable player settings.
Are there new settings on the iPhone to have the audio played over Bluetooth?
My iPhone 4S and 4 worked perfectly. Now, the iPhone 5 has issues.
I have tried this:
1. Removed the phone from the GX 460
2. Added the phone back using password
3. Says it is connected and I can make/receive calls
Since the audio did not work, I tried:
1. Turned off Bluetooth on the iPhone
2. Turned off the iPhone
3. Removed the phone from the GX 460
4. Turned off the GX 460
5. Started the GX 460
6. Turned on the iPhone
7. Turned on Bluetooth
8. Paired the phone with the GX 460
9. Calls can be made/received, but audio still does not connect
Lexus has not returned any calls/messages on this one -- hoping someone may have an answer.
Thanks!Had this problem in my 2012 IS F. Fixed it by going to 'SETUP' -> 'Audio' -> BLuetooth settings. Deleted the existing pairings and then repaired my phone. Bingo!

You have to keep in mind that virtual URL (like servlet context) does not always directly match paths on disk. As you can see http://hostname:7778/j2ee/ maps to C:\Infra10_1_2\j2ee\home\default-web-app. home is the name of the oc4j server. Create another oc4j server and see where its top directory is created.
About your questions:
1. Use the Application Server Control "Deploy Web App", like you tried before, but...
2. It does not work because you have archived the whole directory for oc4j.
Instead create a directory outside of the oracle home, with structure suggested by the Servlet Primer chapter:
"Here is the structure of the WAR file for the examples in this chapter:
EmpInfo.html
WEB-INF/
classes/
HelloWorldServlet.class
GetEmpInfo.class"
Then cd to that directory and do
jar cvf mywebapp.war .
Deploy like you did before:
Web Application: pick war file
App Name: mywebapp
Map to URL: /mona
If succesful, check where files end up so you know both url paths and disk paths and how they fit together. -
Need help 2 get my new BB to receive my contacts via bluetooth from od phone!
Hi guys, I just got a lovely BB Curve today and have spent the last 4 hours trying in vain to get it receive my contacts list via bluetooth from my old phone. I have paired them up and can send to my old phone but cannot receive to my BB. My old phone attempts to connect and then it comes up with a connection failed message. I have tried all sorts: making sure phones are visibile, setting them to 2 mins ....then changing it to "yes" ...making sure devices trust connection and then asking for a prompt....taking the encryption off...then leaving it on....
I really am at my wits end as I have over 150 contacts and cannot face having to write them all out and manually type them in
I am also terrified of getting into my new car tomorrow and finding out that my BB won't pair to my in-car bluetooth set up!
Thanks!Not sure you can send/receive contacts via BLUETOOTH. Once the two devises are paired, then your done with the 2 minute limit and all that stuff. If each devise sees the name of the other devise, your done there. Then make sure there "connected" to each other. If not select the devise, press menu and select connect. Once that's done, your connected. Your car set-up should be just as simple. The setting about phone book entries, is for a bluetooth devise (headset, your car... things you make calls from and talk through) to have 'access' to your phone book to easily make phone calls. It doesn't copy or transfer your phone book, just has access. If your old phone has an option to "send contact via bluetooth" you'll probably have to do that for each contact and even then, I don't know that Blackberry will take it. Blackberry will however take v-cards. So if your old phone can e-mail a v-card, that would work. Blackberry can also synchronize with desktop applications like microsoft outlook and ever google mail. That way you'll have all your contacts from these locations as well. If your old phone can sync with these applications, that's another way to complete this task. This is done through your Blackberry Desktop Manager which also has a sync with other devises' so if your old phone has the ability to connect to a computer, you could try that. Many mobile phone carriers have software in their stores that help with this process and might be able to do this for you without charge.

IPhone 4 iOS7: Playing music over bluetooth, short dropout during mp3-id-transfer
After upgrading my iPhone 4 to iOS7, i have a little problem with the music-player.
I use it, playing music in my car over Bluetooth. Everytime a new song starts, I have a short dropout while my iPhone transfers the MP3 tag to my car's soundsystem. It would be no problem, if that happens before starting to play a song, but it starts to play for about half a second, then drops out, sends the tag and my soundsystem displays it, then continues playing.
I use a Renault Carminat soundsystem with TomTom-Navigation (all builtin).
Any ideas?

My boss shopped for and picked this phone based on the store staff. He wants to be able to have our service tech be able to receive work orders via email, in the form of a pdf attachment, and be able to print using the bluetooth enabled HP Office Jet 8470, hardware that was sold to him in another store with the statements that it would work with his application.
Everything I have seen on this site, and the lack of information elsewhere, leads me to question if we have the correct applications/hardware at all...
If so, I need to be able to explain clearly to my boss any options that we have, and why or why not it won't work.
