Deploying OA Framework Customisations

Hi,
I've created the OA Framework HelloWorld tutorial (tutorial 1). This runs ok in built in OC4J. Now I'm trying to deploy but need some help. I would appreciate a step by step note of how to deploy. Here is what I've tried...
1. There is no jpx (I've just created helloworld page and controller class) so no need to
2. Import xml...
import C:\OAJDEV\jdevhome\jdev\myprojects\oracle\apps\ak\hello\webui\HelloWorldPG.xml -username apps -password fsashdw -rootdir C:\OAJDEV\jdevhome\jdev\myprojects -rootPackage /oracle/apps/ -dbconnection "(description = (address_list = (address = (community = tcp.world)(protocol = tcp)(host =chrysalis.fsa.gov.uk)(port = 1533)))(connect_data = (sid = SHDW)))"
Appears to sucessfully import
Importing /oracle/apps/oracle/apps/ak/hello/webui/HelloWorldPG
Import completed.3. Now I create my function which has HTML call:
OA.jsp?page=/oracle/apps/ak/hello/webui/MyHelloWorldPG&OAHP=FWK_TOOLBOX_TUTORIAL_APP&OASF=FWK_TOOLBOX_HELLO
4. create /oracle/apps/ak/hello/webui directory structure under $OA_JAVA
and place MyHelloWorld.xml there
5. Add function to homepage menu (FWK_TBX_TUTORIAL_NAV) and bounce apache.
When I try to run from menu I get the error:
"You have encountered an unexpected error. Please contact the System Administrator for assistance"
If I replace my custom page with tutorials HelloWorldAM.xml then this works.

Saiid,
thanks for your suggestion. This got me looking again.
I noticed that when creating the controller class in the tutorial the package was
package oracle.apps.ak.hello.webui.webui; (extra webui!!!)
I recreated module in package oracle.apps.ak.hello.webui
and reimported as per my previous import except omitting the root package parameter:
import C:\OAJDEV\jdevhome\jdev\myprojects\oracle\apps\ak\hello\webui\MyHelloWorldPG.xml -username apps -password <appspw> -rootdir C:\OAJDEV\jdevhome\jdev\myprojects -dbconnection "(description = (address_list = (address = (community = tcp.world)(protocol = tcp)(host =chrysalis.fsa.gov.uk)(port = xxxx)))(connect_data = (sid = yyyy))"
Bounced apache and all is ok.
Thankyou everyone who replied.

  • How to deploy OA-Framework files with ACMP 4.0 into $OA_JAVA?

    Hello All,
this time I need your help. I am trying to package an OA-Framework patch with some custom objects in it. I have also AM.xml and VO.xml files as usual.
When I choose the default xml file type within Customization Manager Package definition, I am getting this file deployed to XX_TOP. The other type alternatives are not relevant for OAF at all.
    How to deploy to $OA_JAVA?
Has someone solved this topic already?
    Kr, Volker

    Hi Junaid,
It would be helpful to others trying to do the same if you would post the error messages you are getting here. Then we can work through it so others can see the resolution.
If the dep guide does not work for you then I'm sure the JSF team would like to know that too and make sure to update it so that it will work better for others in the future.

  • Deploy adapter framework non-centrally

I'm trying to deploy the adapter framework non-centrally so I can make java proxy calls from a non-XI J2EE server (WAS 6.40), but I can't find documentation on how to do it correctly.  Can somebody send a link?
    Thanks,
    Ray

This is described in the "Installation Guide - SAP Exchange Infrastructure 3.0" and the "Configuration Guide - SAP XI 3.0" as well. Follow the specific parts for the Adapter Engine.
You can download these Guides from service.sap.com/instguides -> SAP Netweaver -> Release 04 -> Installation

  • How to develop and deploy Spring framework app in Sun One App Server 8.1

    Hi,
Can anyone give sample on how to develop and depoly spring framework application in J2EE 1.4 Server or Sun One App Server 8.1 .
Its very urgently needed for my project to learn and implement spring framework i would very thankful if any one can help.
    Thanking You

Pretty standard for AS8 to deploy Spring. The only thing to watch for is the security manager, which you'll probably want to turn off.

  • Windows 8.1 PRO Deployment Start menu customisation

    Hi,
I am trying to customise my Windows 8.1 Pro deployment start menu, I just want to remove a pile of the default apps and items for users when they login, then they can customise it for themselves.
I know this can be done with enterprise but has anyone worked out a way to do it with PRO ??

Using the copyprofile function in the unattend file has worked perfectly for me. Win 8.1 has fixed issues I had with start screen customisations in the past. Add the copyprofile profile via WISM.
    - Login with your local user and customise start screen (uninstall default apps, re-arrange tiles.)
    - Sysprep your image. If your not using WDS to control your unattend files, call yours with a command similar to:
    sysprep /generalize /oobe /shutdown /unattend:C:\Windows\System32\Sysprep\imageunattend.xml
All subsequent users will see your changes and they will be able to make their own, unlike the group policy option available to Enterprise versions.

  • I have problem with deployment of my customised module in oracle applications

    Hai,
I have started working with oracle application just recently as I started to customise Forms & Reports.
If I am developing forms and reports from the existing modules it is working fine.
But as we can develop our own customized module in oracle applications.I did the following steps for the same..
    This is in Rel.11.0.28
1.I registered my own schema in the back-end.
2.then registered the same in AOL.
3.Registered the custom application in the Aol.
4.while registering gave the Base Path..XX_top.
5.Defined Datagroup with APPS as the user ID.
6.created the directories in the server..oa\applprod\custom_app_name\11.0.28\us\
6.went to the environment file ...it is Prod.en
    7.gave the base path.
    8.restarted the server.
9.created forms based on my schema tables & views
    10.generated the forms
11.pasted them in the base path directory
...and then did all the registrations in aol.and allocated the menu to the concerned responsibility and that to the user.
    Now the problem is ...
when I am logging in to the coressponding user..
    it is getting logged in..
    I can see my menu..
but the function i.e. the form is not getting opened.
I am not able to understand where the problem is lying...please if any one could solve the problem it would be highly appreciated.
    Thanking u in advance.
    Sushma.

Not familiar w/ 11.0.28, but if this is on NT, I've found you need to add your xx_top path to the appropriate place in the NT registry.

  • Deploy Play Framework to Azure Cloud successfully but url is not working

    Hi!
Despite the emulator was working nicely, after I've published my play framework app and opened the link, nothing happened. I couldn't even ping the
public virtual IP. My one role instance is running, tried to reboot, no success.
I've followed the tutorial on msopentech (https://msopentech.com/blog/2014/09/25/tutorial-running-play-framework-applications-microsoft-azure-cloud-services-2/).
(Sorry, it says my text cannot contain images or links until they verify my account.)
Could you help me what did I wrong?
    My URL is: http://68bf950959ee46a0beb4d8f584a30c04.cloudapp.net
    Many thanks,
    Csongor

    Hi,
The ICMP traffic is blocked by the Azure load balancer and the ping requests timeout.
Note that while this applies to network traffic going through the external IP (VIP) through configured endpoints, ICMP is not blocked when connecting through an Azure virtual network gateway or ExpressRoute. Also, ICMP will work between internal IPs of VMs
in the same virtual network or in the same cloud service.
To test connectivity, we instead recommend that you do a port ping. While Ping.exe uses ICMP, other tools such as PsPing, Nmap, or Telnet allow you to test connectivity to a specific TCP port.
    Hope this helps !

  • Deploying OA Framework project to e-Business Suite R12

    Hi:
I created my HelloWorld example and would like to deploy to eBuiness Suite.
I looked the www.apps2Fusion.com example and found out not detailed and is hard to read.
Can some one help me where to get?
    Thanks for your help
    sem

First FTP all the Class files from MyClass folder to $JAVA_TOP.
    like
    java/xxx/joracle/apps/ak/server
    java/xxx/joracle/apps/webui
Also import the HelloWorldPG. Also you have to create function, Menu & attached with it any resp.
    Bounce the appache also.
    Thanks

  • Axis framework deployment in PI 7_1 using JSPM only

    Hi everyone,
we are trying to deploy Axis framework in our 7_1 PI server using JSPM only (as seemingly SDM is no longer available). SAP note only describe how to create SDA file which JSPM doesnot read/understand. Is it true or is there any way to make JSPM read SDA files?
We used SAP MAKE utility with NWDS to convert this SDA into SCA file.
The further deployment showed successful in the JSPM logs however the test servlet throws error with axis.jar

  • How to deploy coldfusion as mvc framework from server standpoint?.

Does anyone know how to deploy mvc framework from server
standpoint?. I have all my business logic as cfcs but I want to

and my cfcs are in another. Has anyone done this or point me in the

Actually that's exactly the way we have our new high
    availability
environment configured. All the code runs off an EMC device.
    Not sure
why I didn't draw this parallel yesterday with running the
    CFML on one
server and the CFCs on another server--as long as you have a
sufficiently fast network (we're on gigabit) and
    device/drives (our
stuff is fiber channel), then as you mention below
    performance probably
isn't an issue. I'd be curious if doing this over 100 megabit
    with more
low-end hardware would perform as well as having things on a
    local
    drive, however.

Yep, very true, and although the NAS/DAS device isn't
    *directly*
accessible via the web, remember that's it's accessible by
    the user
that's being used by the web site users, so there isn't a
    huge security
benefit here vs. having the code locally. You're absolutely
    right
    > separating normal cfm files from objects seems kind of
    silly, when if you

    non-web-accessible machine.
Yeah, this is where we head was earlier in the
    discussion--putting the
CF "pages" on one server and the CFCs on another just seemed
    a bit wacky
    to me.

Right, this is what we do on our production environment but
    we don't
even use a CF mapping (though you could). We just point our
    web server
to the EMC device and everything else just falls into place,
    provided
you've set up the user CF and your web server process (or
    using "connect
as" in IIS in W2K3) are running as so they have access to the
    network
    storage device.

    adequate).
True, good point. We have extremely good performance (might
    even be
*faster* than local drive speed) with our EMC device, and
    again I'm not
sure why I didn't see this parallel yesterday in the
    discussions. Blame
it on a very hectic week. ;-)

  • Hi All, I am using JDeveloper 10.1.3.5 for R12.2.4. I am getting an error after deploying my OAF page to application.

I have developed a custom OAF page with multiple VO, EO and single AM. Below is my directory structure

My page is running perfectly from JDeveloper and all functionalities are working fine.

As Parvez mentioned it looks like the weblogic server is not able to pick up the custom classes.
Did you deploy the classes in RUN filesystem or PATCH filesystem ?
Have a look at Note 1577661.1 in metalink for detailed instruction on deploying the Business Logic Extensions

  • Deploying MDM Web Dynpro Components on NWCE 7.2 - /wdconfig not displayed

    Hi all -
I'm trying to deploy the MDM Web Dynpro Components Framework  (the goal is to
have NW CE connect to and 'see' the MDM repositories) and according to the URL
    http://help.sap.com/saphelpnwmdm71/helpdata/en/4a/8c20a0dc93203be10000000a42189b/frameset.htm,
one of the steps is to run the MDM Web Dynpro Configuration Manager application
(_http://<server>:<port>/mdm/wdconfig).  However, I get an error stating the page
wasn't found (example: Error: Requested file /wdconfig does not exist).
Looking further, I see that WD Framework needs to be configured as a pre-req.
I'm in the JSPM and I see that MDM JAVA WD FRAMEWORK 7.1 7.11, MDM JAVA API Library
and MDM Java Connector needs to be deployed (JAVA API and Connector are first).
Under the 'Deployed Components' tab in JSPM, I see :
    >> sap.com/MDM_JAVA_API - 7.1
    sap.com/com.sap.mdm.tech.apireset
    sap.com/com.sap.mdm.tech.connector
    sap.com/com.sap.mdm.tech.mdm4j
    >> sap.com/MDM_JAVA_WD_FRAMEWORK - 710.711 (SP05)
    sap.com/tc/mdm/wdcomps/core/ear
I deployed MDM_JAVA_API first and have restarted the NWCE system.
I don't see any error in the logs and the URL for the /wdconfig still does not exist.
Is there something that I have to deploy?  Can someone point me to a document other than
the help.sap.com that talks about CE 7.2 and MDM 7.1 configurations?  I do have the master
    and install guide for both.
    Please advise!
    Thanks!

    Update:
Hi - thanks for the followup.
I have the correct SCAs.  I have done the following:
    UNDEPLOY both components
    Restarted the services
    Deployed the JAVA_API first
    Restart services
    Deployed the Framework
    Restarted the services
Yes, even though the docs said I can deploy them in order, I think there may have been
a few hitches that the error logs didn't catch.
Specifically, when I re-deployed the FRAMEWORK 7.1 7.11, there were now 19 components
    listed instead of one.
I am able to go to ~mdm/wdconfig now.
However, I get a new message:
"You are not authorized to use MDM Web Dynpro Components Configuration Manager".
    Even though I'm the Administrator?
I did see in the docs that I need to create a Project first and that the userID that logs in
should exist in UME and the MDM system.
    (_http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwmdm71/helpdata/en/4a/41a40c343f2ab1e10000000a42189c/content.htm)
I am looking into that now.  I think I will close this thread and start a new one
    specifically for that.
    Thanks!

  • Getting an error after deploying

    My web.xml file is this
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <web-app >
    <servlet>
<description>This is the description of my J2EE component</description>
<display-name>This is the display name of my J2EE component</display-name>
    <servlet-name>Rating</servlet-name>
    <servlet-class>com.Mamatha.Rating</servlet-class>
    </servlet>
    <servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-name>Rating</servlet-name>
    <url-pattern>/Rating</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>
    </web-app>
And the error i am getting is
<[BillingSystem.war]: Deployment descriptor "web.xml" is malformed. Check against the DTD: org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: cvc-elt.1: Cannot find the declaration of element 'web-app'. (line 6, column 52).>
    Please help me out
    Thanks

As Parvez mentioned it looks like the weblogic server is not able to pick up the custom classes.
Did you deploy the classes in RUN filesystem or PATCH filesystem ?
Have a look at Note 1577661.1 in metalink for detailed instruction on deploying the Business Logic Extensions

  • Deployment of OA Project in R12.2 - Could not load application module

I have deployed a project that is working without issue in JDeveloper to a R12.2 environment, but I am receiving the following error on loading of the page.  This seems to be a common problem as I have another issue with deploying OA Framework projects in R12.2  Is anyone else using R12.2 or has seen this in any other R12 instance?  Anything developed in 11.5.10 first and "upgraded" to the latest JDeveloper is working fine, but so far nothing developed directly in R12.2 JDeveloper works in the environment.

Try bouncing your server and then test it again.Generally this error comes due to uncompiled jsp files.Bounce Apache Server and then check.
You may check Metalink Note: 465812.1
