Deploying sap jca adater to XI Server

I developed sap jca adapter, and tested it on pck, now i need to migrate it to XI server. who can provide me some infomation on this?

Hi Spring,
   If you are using Sample Adapter in Sender side and your aim is only to test Sample adapter(not your entire scenario) then you need to create only few objects
1)Sender Aggrement(Integration directory)
2)Communication channel(I.D)
3)one data type(Integration Repository)
4)one message type(IR)
5)One message interface(IR)
   No need to create Receiver Determination,Interface Determination,Message Mapping,Receiver Aggrement.
    But you will get an error in XI.Because the XI don't know what do with that message.But your sample adapter got tested means If you are using sap samplera adapter then it will change the input file name to <FileName>.sent.so that u will come to know that adapter working.
1).In IR create a namespace,
data type,message type ,message interface.
2).In id create communication channel, sender aggrement.
   This is only to test sender side adapter, not your entire scenario.

Gowtham K.

  • Deploying SAPUI5 applications on SAP Gateway as the application server

    Hi,
    We are just trying to ramp up on Fiori architecture and utilizing SAP netweaver gateway in combination with SAPUI5 to build new generation user interfaces.
    Most of the demos and tutorials I see involve utilizing the SAP netweaver gateway as the oData services provider with the UI components hosted on a separate web server like Apache. Looking at Fiori apps, it looks like they utilize the SAP gateway as the web server itself, without having the need of a separate web server.
    Are there some instructions and guidelines for porting a SAPUI5  UI application (UI components) on to the SAP Netweaver gateway, similar to how Fiori does?
    thanks,
    Nitin

    Hi Neeta,
    You would need to consider additional factors to make that decision. Primary of which is what is the landscape being used by your customer. You have to consider things like how the users will access the app? What would be the security and authentication mechanism? Would you need reverse proxies or load balancing? Does the customer already have an existing infrastructure for web based applications which you should plug into?
    First off, I will assume you have a NW Gateway system in place for the services that are being used by the SAPUI5 app. If that is the case, then you can certainly deploy the UI app on the same server. The process described in the blog above would end up creating a BSP application, which can then be captured in a transport and moved to QA/Production.
    On the other hand, if your customer has already has an existing infrastructure for hosting and serving up Web based applications, you may want to leverage that existing infrastructure instead.
    You can get in touch with me if you would like to discuss further.
    thanks,
    Nitin

  • Pre-Purchase Question - Deploying Crystal Report to SSRS Report Server

    Our company has recently installed a SQL 2005 server for our accounting system.  I had intended going down the path of using SQL Reporting Services as our reporting tool and deploying them to the builtin Report Server.  However, I've been using Crystal Reports for years and find it much more user friendly for a non-programmer to use.  I can actually write a report in Crystal, SSRS took me 3 days to achieve very little, I believe it requires too much SQL reporting knowledge for a beginner.
    After spending many hours trawling the net looking for a solution to this problem, I found that Crystal comes as part of Visual Studio.  However, I also believe the version of Visual Studio that comes with SQL2005 is the basic version, and I'd need the Pro version to get the Crystal add on.
    To this end, I've downloaded the trial version of Crystal 2008 and installed it.  I find I can write a report in Crystal, and then I can manually add that report to a SSRS project. When I open the Crystal Report within Visual Studio I can see all the correct Crystal toolbars and menus etc, so it would appear that the installation of Crystal for Visual Studio has integrated properly.  I can then deploy that report to the Report server and see the report on the web page.  However clicking to open the report then opens the full Crystal Reports application, instead of just displaying the report in the web page.
    I've been unsuccessful in finding a solution to the above deployment problem.  I'm seeking a solution so that my users can just see the report without Crystal itself opening up.  I've been advised that there is a Crystal Report Server that I can purchase, but I don't wish to go to that expense when we already have this functionality built into our SSRS server.
    Can you please advise if it's possible to deploy the Crystal report to the SSRS Report Server and then open the report within the web page without opening the full Crystal app, and if so what steps I would need to take to implement this.
    If this issue can be resolved, I'll be more than happy to purchase the full Crystal 2008 package and forget SSRS as a bad idea.
    Sorry to be so long winded, I wanted to be clear what the issue is.  Any information /advice would be very much appreciated.

    Hello Diane,
    I would not know if Crystal Report can be used with SSRS but I know for sure that you can use the embedded Crystal Reports Version with comes with VS 2005 or VS 2008 to create reports and to display them in web and windows application.
    We have lots of samples how to do this in our [dev community|https://boc.sdn.sap.com/].
    Also, you can use [Crystal Reports 2008|https://boc.sdn.sap.com/developer/library/CR2008SDK] with MS SQL 2005.
    Other products like Crystal Reports server can also use MS SQL 2005.
    Please see our [supported platforms for CR 2008|http://service.sap.com/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000712280&_OBJECT=011000358700000675322008E] on windows.
    Hope this helps

  • Deploying BRM JCA on Weblogic 10.3

    We are trying to prototype invoking APIs through Webservices exposed by BRM JCA.
    In the Oracle BRM manual it is mentioned that certain Jars need to be present in order for BRM JCA to deploy successfully.
    1. J2EE application server
    classes12.jar, connector15.jar, and jta.jar
    2. Oracle BPEL process
    bpm-infra.jar, orabpel-thirdparty.jar, orabpel.jar, and xmlparserv2.jar
    3. Apache
    xercesImpl.jar
    We have only classes12.jar, jta.jar, xercesImpl.jar.
    My question is whether it is absolutely necessary for these jars to be present, and if so where can I find it.
    Right now we are getting Deployment error when we try to deploy BRM JCA on Weblogic 10.3

    Hi jamavalom,
    I have exactly the same problem with deployment of JCA Adapter, except I collected all requested jar files, and put them in WEBLOGIC_CLASSPATH inside /wlserver_10.3/common/bin/commEnv.sh file, and afterward restarted the WebLogic server. Here are the contents of configuration *.xml files:

  • Deploying a WAR to the J2EE Server - Suggestions Plz.

    Hi,
    I have a WAR file from my previous project, I would like to deploy it to my SAP WAS can some one tell me how I can do it also is there is way to Deploy a JAR file to a Server or to upload it there so all my applications can use it in the future without me having to add it to the Lib folder of my projects, I would appreciate any help.
    Best Wishes,
    John.

    Hi John,
    Open the source of application.xml in the EAR project and the add the following
       <module>
            <web>
                <web-uri>sampleweb.war</web-uri>
                <context-root>sampleweb</context-root>
            </web>
        </module>
    Replace your war file name and context root in the above snippet and add it in your application.xml as follows...
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE application PUBLIC "-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD J2EE Application 1.3//EN"
                                 "http://java.sun.com/dtd/application_1_3.dtd">
    <application>
        <display-name>sample</display-name>
        <description>EAR description</description>
        <module>
            <web>
                <web-uri>sampleweb.war</web-uri>
                <context-root>sampleweb</context-root>
            </web>
        </module>
    </application>
    Once you do it, your war is referred in ear and u can seperately deploy the war and ear and it will be recognized.
    Hope this will solve your problem..
    You may reward points if the solution helped..

  • Deploying Jee5 App in Netweaver Application Server

    Hi Everybody
    How to deploy jee5 application on Netweaver Application Server without using Netweaver Developer Studio NWDS.
    Thank You
    Syed Saifuddin

    Hi Prashil,
    That blog is about deployment on Web AS 6.40. Here we are discussing the <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/javaee5">AS Java EE 5 Edition</a>.
    The document provided by Ivaylo is the right place to go when dealing with this topic.
    @Syed,
    Additionally, you can change the AS Java configuration in your NWDS preferences to point to the "server machine". Or, you can make use of the deployment scripts in the folder C:SAPJP1JC00j2eedeploymentscripts. See the readme.txt.
    HTH!
    Best regards,

  • How to deploy MAM 2.5 into MI Server

    Hi all,
    I'm trying to install MAM 2.5 SR2 into a WebAS 6.40 + MI SP13. I'm following MAM Installation Guide, but I'm stuck at page 8, on the second paragraph, when it says:
    "Deploy SAP Mobile Asset Management 2.5 on Mobile Infrastructure server 2.5 (minimum SP11)"
    How do I do that? I can't find the procedure in the MI Installation Guide or MAM Configuration Guide. Is it through the WebConsole? Doesn't MAM have a part that runs on the server?
    Regards,
    Daniel Franulovic

    Hi Daniel!
    When you execute MEREP_EX_REPLIC with MAM25_090 & MAM25_095, you must have noticed the result that displayed a list with number of records sent to the mobile device.
    If Yes, Pl execute transaction MEREP_MON for your Mobile ID and this will get you to the WorkList Monitor and you can see for each SyncBO Id what data has been sent.You should not have "0' for I-Waiting and I-finished must have some numbers not "0" and similary there should be some numbers under O-Sent.If not look at O-Waiting.
    I would suggest that you try to Synchronize 2-3 times just to make sure by giving ample time between each Sync.
    Also refer the answer to the question "Is there a way to view all the data that has been downloaded to the client?" available under Mobile Applicaions FAQs secion of the SDN.

    Hello Martin Gerritsen,
    This is Arti from the PM team.
    It seems to me that the brms facade has not yet started in your application server. You can check whether it has started or not by doing the following -
    You need to access the JavaEE Applications running on your AS. To do this -
    1. Open the nwa portal
    2. Navigate to Operations Management > Systems > Start & Stop > Java EE Applications
    3. Search for the brms related applications available on the server.
    In case the applications have not yet been started, please try to manually start them. If you still have problem in starting the BRMS facade please contact me.
    I will send across to you a fresh set of SCAs which you can deploy into your server to resolve this issue.
    Regards,
    Arti

  • Cannot deploy SOA composite to a managed server

    My problem: cannot deploy SOA composite to a managed server.
    The following is what I did:
    1. I created a domain "devDomain". admin server is created automatically for me.
    *2. I created a manged server (soa_server1) on my domain after.*
    2. started the admin server
    3. started soa_server1
    4. see both servers in WLS control, both server state=running
    5. see both server in EM console, both server status are up
    6. in JDev(11.1.1.5.0), created an application server connection, and tested the connection successfully
    7. when I tried to deploy my composite from JDev, I selected the application server connection, on step "SOA servers", it only lists AdminServer.
    8. Then I tried to deploy the composite from EM by right-click soa_server1, but "SOA deployment" is not in the list.
    My guess: there should be some libraries or other resources applied to soa_server1 before it could accept soa deployment. What are these libraries/resources?
    I tried to target all 10 libraries under the path "oracle.soa." to soa_server1, and checked the config.xml and found the file was updated correcly, reboot my pc, restarted the servers, but still face the same problem.
    My environment is weblogic 10.3.5.
    Basically, my question is:
    after a domain is created and admin server is there, if I want to add a managed server which will host soa composites, what should I do to configure the managed server?

  • RSA1 DB Connection from SAP BW to external SQL Server databas.

    Hello,
    I am trying to connect our SAP BW system with SQL Server Source System through DB Connect in transaction RSA1.
    Our BW system is running on Windows and MaxDB platform, therefore have I already added the latest dbmssslib.dll library to the kernel for SQL Server.
    But the connection does not work anyhow, I recieve the error "Database error -1 at CON > [DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]SQL Server does > exist or access denied." and I am quite sure that my input parameters are correct.
    Therefore I wonder if someone has run into a similar problem and what the problem could be?
    Best Regards,
    Niklas Sandstedt

    Hi,
    I am sorry that my case was assigned to wrong forum.
    That should now have been corrected, however my problem still remains unsolved in one of our systems.
    I found note 178949, which fixed the problem in one system. But even though the system setup seems to be identical, the two systems appears different.
    The following has been done for both systems:
    1. Upgraded kernel to 701 version 111 and added dbmssslib.dll and dbmssslib.pdb files
    2. Created Logical system in BD54.
    3. Tried to create DB connection in transaction DBACOCKPIT.
    In the third step, the setup fails and I receive the following error message when I test the connection:
    Database error -1 at CON > [DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]SQL Server does not > exist or access denied.
    Database error -1
    All profile parameters AL11-directories also seems to be correct in both systems, so both should find the dbmssslib.dll file.
    One issue that I see is in DBACOCKPIT, the checkbox for "SAP Systems with basis release" is unchangeble and marked. This however, I think was changed in the other system automatically when the connection was established successfully.
    Has anyone run into the same problem?

  • SAP LVM SETUP ON WINDOWS SERVER 2012

      Hi Experts
            How to do the SAP LVM SETUP on windows server 2012. If Any One Knows Please Let Mme Know.
    Regards
    suresh

    Can you elaborate on the question a bit? You're asking how we setup LVM on a Windows Server, but that depends a lot on what the server is for.
    Maybe you can clarify your question and I can assist.

  • SAP Crystal report on Windows Server 2012

    Hi,
    Let me explain my situation first.
    I have Windows7 dev box with VS 2010, 2012 and 2013. My application backend is Oracle 10g.
    I have an old application build in VS 2005 which I migrated to Framework 4.0 from 2.0.
    I downloaded CR executable from "http://downloads.businessobjects.com/akdlm/cr4vs2010/CRforVS_13_0_9.exe" and it worked fine locally.
    But when I deployed the same code on Windows Server 2012.. reports didn't appear.
    Please assist.

    Well, let's get the easy one out of the way 1st
    Licensing of the runtime. The runtime is free for win apps. For web apps it is also free - as long as the app is used within your organization. If the web app is used external to your org, you do need to obtain additional licensing. And for that you will have to contact sales: 866-681-3435
    Now, the actual issue:
    Normally, the runtime is deployed using the MSI, MSM or CLickOnce, Nothing wrong with you installing VS on the server and then CR, but I suspect you're using up a VS license for that (expensive(?)), but that is a decision for you to make. E.g.; uninstalling VS and running the CR SP 9 MSI should suffice. To actually get the viewer working, I'd like you configure the viewer as per the direction in this blog:

  • What is the difference in Webintelligence while using SAP BW or MS SQL Server

    Hi Experts,
    What is main difference in using SAP BW and MS SQL server in SAP BO while creating Reports using Web intelligence, Crystal reports. I want to know mostly on Report Level difference.

    Hi,
    I Have not used Crystal with Ms SQL server but webI i can tell .
    SAP BW is OLAP Layer .
    M S SQL Server is Database .
    You can Edit your Web Intelligence Query SQL Code in MS SQL Server .
    Not in SAP BW .
    Combined Query is Disable in SAP BW but it is available in SQL Server .
    Performance wise SAP BW Query is better because it calculates every thing in SAP BW & gives us Required Out .
