Deployment at production

Hi,
Source: MS SQL
Targer: Oracle
I am new to ODI
I have created one interface which loads the data from source('src_table') to target('trg_table'). Its working fine. Now I want to schedule this Interface( Which loads data on daily basis). How could i achieve this ?
After scheduling the Interface Want to deploy this interface at production.
Deployment at Production :
1) What are the basic requirements to deploy this(Project) on production machine ?
2) Is there need to install ODI on production machine ?
3) How to deploy existing created project in Production ?
Can anybody guide me step by step.
Thanks in advance.
Waiting..
-Shrinivas

Hi,
Create a scenario out of the interface or put that interface in a package and create scenario of that package.
Then you can schedule the scenario to run daily .
You need to have ODI installed at your production.
You can export scenario from dev and import that in prod.
Thanks,
Sutirtha

  • Process flow of bpel process deployment in production server

    Hi,
Can anyone please explain me the process flow of bpel process deployment in prodcution server . I mean the procedure that we follow for deployment in productions server , what are the steps that we follow , approval from any teams? .....
    Thanks,
    Beginner.

    A quick answer is:
    1. make sure you defined the Application/Integration Server in your developer (user/pass you have - if not oc4jadmin then one the IT gave you).
    2. Deploy your project to that server.
    3. Choose the correct domain in the Console when deploying.
Is this what you wanted to know???

  • Best Practice for deploying in Production Cluster

              I have the following.
2 Physical machines each running 2 jvm's, thus I have 4 jvm's in my cluster.
We access the jvm's via an IIS plug-in.
When it comes time to do a new .war file migration, do you need to stop the jvm's
              first ?
I have tried deploying with the jvm's live, it technically worked but we then
noticed several 404 errors during the day on a servlet that was there. (Called
              successfully around the 404)
Anyway, I'm just looking for recomendations on how others deploy to production.

You should be able to redeploy a web application without any
problems? When you get this 404 errors, do you see any stacktrace
              on the server window

  • Deployment to production

    Hi All,
I am quite new to OBIEE, I have finished all answers and dashboards in development, how to deploy to production server?
    Thank you,
    Ling

    HI,
You want move RPD and catalog from dev to prod.
    1. Using Ftp software you can do it.
    FTP software like: Winscp
rpd from {OracleBI}\server\Repository from this path and place the same in the same path in the another env
and take webcat files from {OracleBIData}\web\catalog this path and place the same in the same path.
    now in the new env.
open your nqsconfig.ini from {OracleBI}\server\Config\instanceconfig and update the rpd name.
then open this file {OracleBIData}\web\config\instanceconfig.xml and ther update your webcat name.
I forgot to mention - configure the Data sources also to match your connection pool settings.
    Hope this help's
    Thanks,

  • Errors when attempt to execute task 'Approve and Deploy to Product'

    Hello all,
I updated the pricelists from BCC, an error occurred when I attempted to execute task 'Approve and Deploy to Production', it shows ‘atg.epub.workflow.process.WorkflowProcessResources->invalidTargetName : There is no target with the given name Production.’
Here is the ATGPublishing server error log:
atg.process.action.ActionException: atg.epub.workflow.process.WorkflowProcessResources->invalidTargetName : There is no target with the given name Production.
Can anyone tell me how to resolve this error. Thank you in advance.

Check this in your production BCC component browser.
    /dyn/admin/nucleus/atg/epub/workflow/process/WorkflowProcessManager/?action=seedefinition&process=/Commerce/editCommerceAssets.wdl
Search for approveAndDeployProject, you will find the target. Make sure its correct and same String value is used in BCC when creating sites.
    And make
    atg/epub/Configuration.properties
    queryWorkflowTargetByID=false
Otherwise send me the contents from dyn/admin

  • Can JDeveloper be used for developing code for deployment to production?

    Hello,
I've downloaded JDeveloper and wanted to know if I could use it for developing code that is deployed to production? I looked at the licensing terms and nothing there seems to say I can't do that. Am I missing something? Also on the JDeveloper page, it says "Free download". Is this tool like SQL Developer - truly free?
    Thanks
    Alex

    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/htdocs/jdeveloper11gfaq.html#L0
JDeveloper is totally free, you can use it for production. However, some libraries come with JDeveloper, such as ADF, are not free and you have to pay for them in order to use them in production.

  • Aproove and deploy to production error

    Hi,
when i tried to move for Aproove and deploy to production the following error occured.
Failed to approve the project 'project name' for deployment. Unable to obtain exclusive deployment locks to one or more assets. Assets that are locked by other projects must be unlocked before attempting to deploy this project.
    Jk

It means the assets you are trying to deploy are also in another project whose "Verify Production Deployment" is not completed or other projects have checked out before you started this project.
So either finish the final step of those projects or delete assets of that project or deploy that project.

  • Report using excel sheet as data source not working when deployed to production.

I have a set of SSRS reports that use an excel sheet as a datasource.
Now when I preview the reports or run them in the Visual Studio IDE on my local machine i.e
the development machine, the reports run fine & display all correct results.
However, when we deploy the reports to the Production machine which is on a separate server,
the following error message is displayed :
"The current action cannot be completed. The user data source credentials do not meet the requirements to run this report. Either the user data source credentials are not stored in the report server database, or the user data source is configured not to
require credentials but the unattended execution account is not specified. (rsInvalidDataSourceCredentialSetting)"
I've copy pasted the connection string used for connecting to the excel file as reference :
    Provider=Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0;Data Source=C:\MyFolder\CurrentFile.xlsx;Extended Properties="Excel 12.0;HDR=Yes;";
The excel file has also been uploaded to the machine housing the reporting server (i.e to C:\MyFolder location)

    Hi Aaakar,
From the error message, please try to change the setting of Credential type for the data source on report manager as follows:
Go to the Data Sources properties page.
For the Connect Using option, select Credentials stored securely in the report server.
In User Name and Password, type credentials that can be used to access the database. If you are using SQL Server as the data source, the user name must be valid for both logging on to the server and for accessing the database that contains the data for
    the report.
If the user name and password are credentials for a Windows account, select Use as Windows Credentials.
If you want the report server to pass the credentials of the user accessing the report to the server hosting the external data source, click Windows Integrated Security. In this case, the user is not prompted to type a user name or password.
For more details about Configure Data Source Properties, please see:

    Hope this helps.

  • Error while deploying to Production Managed Server

My setup is one Domain, one AdminServer, one Managed Server all running in Production Mode.. The AdminServer:7001 and ManagedServer:7003 are on the same box.
I can deploy my app and hit it via a web service on AdminServer:7001 but I can't hit is on the ManagedServer:7003.
What happens is I tell the ODSI Admin Console to target the application to either ManagedServer or ManagedServer and AdminServer. Doing this put's the ManagedServer into an Admin STANDBY mode, lists the following error, and remains in an UNKNOWN state. I eventually have to shut the ManagedServer down and start it again.
The server is running on the latest version of Oracle Mission Control 3.1.0 with the version of JRockit that's in there (1.6.0_11 R27.6.3).
I mean, I'd rather not run the application on the AdminServer. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to look into to try to trouble shoot this issue??

    Hi,
It looks like your Production Environment doesnt have ANY of the following Jars in Either the Server Classpath or in <DOMAIN_HOME>\lib directory.
    dom4j.jar
    Or
    jaxen.jar
    Or

  • Deploy to production (best practices)

I am wondering if there are some best practices published somewhere in regard to deploying an app from your dev environment to a production environment?
    I currently do the following.
    1) export/inport application
    2) generate a sync script (toad) to get the schema objects in sync. Maybe it's better to do an export/import (expdp) of the schema here.
    3) import images/files needed by the application

    Hi,
    Have a look at:
    Book: Pro Oracle Application Express
    Author: John Edward Scott

It has a good section on migrating between environments.

  • Notification of successful deployment to production server from within

How can code running on a production server be notified that a successful deployment (of new/changed catalogs) has completed to that server? A side affect is the catalog schema switches from CATA to CATB or vice versa. Another way to phrase the question is how to be notified of catalog schema switches at the time they occur?
    Thanks.

That URL hangs but I think I found the spot in the Programmer's Guide. It talks about a DeploymentManager but only vaguely.
I found some code that uses the DeploymentEvent and DeploymentEventListener mechanism. You register your listener with the DeploymentAgent (via config) and then receive all the deployment events. The only question is which of the many events/states that are reported is the one that means the catalog data source has switched?

  • Deploy in production environment

    Hi,
I have to deploy a bpel client application in OracleAS 10.1.3 in production environment. In bpel_services.properties and wf_client_config.xml there are informations unknown to the developer. The deployer knows this information but he doesn't want to modify the ear file.
Is it possible to configure the informations in this files during deploy without modify the ear file ?
    Thanks

    Thanks a lot!
So it seems that .rpd file IS NOT portable between environments, but it is possible to change params via scripting.
It is surely better than changing via interface, though not ideal.
    Any other idea around?
