Deployment failed when moved app to WLS 8.1 SP2
hi,
i have a portal application which has been running on weblogic 8.1 without any
problems for over 6 months. now we are in the process of moving it to service
pack 2. i installed workshop 8.1.2 and opened my portal app. i was able to build
it without any problems. but when i start the server, i get some weird excpetions.
stack trace is copied in the end. this looks like something related to file names
"java.lang.InternalError: IO error while trying to compute name from: C:\beaSP2\....".
is there anything that i need to do before i deploy my app on SP2. ideally it
should work without any changes.
Thanks
Kaleem

hi,
i have a portal application which has been running on weblogic 8.1 without any
problems for over 6 months. now we are in the process of moving it to service
pack 2. i installed workshop 8.1.2 and opened my portal app. i was able to build
it without any problems. but when i start the server, i get some weird excpetions.
stack trace is copied in the end. this looks like something related to file names
"java.lang.InternalError: IO error while trying to compute name from: C:\beaSP2\....".
is there anything that i need to do before i deploy my app on SP2. ideally it
should work without any changes.
Thanks

When you attempt to deploy a windows 10 C++ Universal app that has a reference to a Windows Runtime component, to a Remote Machine (windows 10 machine), you will get an error message instead of successful deployment.
Right click solution, Go to Properties -> Configuration Properties -> Configuration - Uncheck "Deploy" checkbox for the Windows Runtime Component project. Then retry deployment to remote machine.

Then it tries to run wlst again, and failed with same information.
Can anyone help on this issue. Or share some idea about how to investigate into this wlst issue.
Thanks,
Frank
Edited by: FrankWang on 2012-7-27 上午10:16Try re-starting admin server by doing:
1) emctl stop oms -all
2) Check if any java processes are running from middleware (ps -ef | grep EMGC_ADMINSERVER, ps -ef | grep EMGC_OMS1, ps -ef | grep <MW_HOME>) and kill them using 'kill -9'
3) emctl start oms
4) Re-try plug-in deployment
I think as long as admin server is in FAILED_NOT_RESTARTABLE state, plug-in deployment cannot succeed. -

Compressor Crashes When Moving App Window
Compressor v3x
I'm having an issue where Compressor will crash when I'm moving the app's window around the desktop. Nothing special going on - just regular work. Setting a QT to compress. Just as soon as I move the window around - bam it crashes to the desktop.
Compressor related or something different?
I've got all the recent updates applied.
Thanks!The only reason to suspect the OS is if moving windows in other applications causes the same crash.
Sorry not to be of more help, I've only seen crashes by touching windows in a few apps. ONe that bugs the crap out of me these days is Microsoft Entourage for the Mac, part of the Office 2008 suite. Not all the time, but sometimes, which makes debugging it impossible, touching the pullout device in the lower right of the app's main window will crash the application.
This is not related to anything except Microsoft's application, but that's just my isolated case; the same app on an identical Mac does not crash.

Hello REST web service example deployment fails when using EJB
I was able to successfully deploy the hello REST web service example. But when I attempted to lookup an EJB via the following code I get an error message.
try {
ic = new InitialContext();
DirectoryBean db = (DirectoryBean)ic.lookup("java:comp/env/ejb/DirectoryBean");
} catch (NamingException ex) {
ex.printStackTrace();
Here is the error message in the NetBeans console window:
Deploying application in domain failed; Error loading deployment descriptors for module [hello] -- com.sun.enterprise.deployment.annotation.context.WebBundleContext cannot be cast to com.sun.enterprise.deployment.annotation.context.EjbContextat com.sun.enterprise.deployment.annotation.AnnotationInfo@15f1fa0
D:\java\Sun\swdp-tutorial-1.0\examples\rest\hello\nbproject\build-impl.xml:450: Deployment error:I think the problem may be that the SimpleServlet example uses an apt feature to generate a web.xml which will replace any web.xml you already have in the project (and lose any references etc you might have in it). To work around this problem first copy the necessary lines from the web.xml in the generates .war file - they should look something like this:
<servlet>
<servlet-name>RESTBeans Application</servlet-name>
<servlet-class>com.sun.ws.rest.impl.container.servlet.ServletAdaptor</servlet-class>
<init-param>
<param-name>resourcebean</param-name>
<param-value>com.sun.ws.rest.samples.servlet.resources.RESTBeansResources</param-value>
</init-param>
<load-on-startup>1</load-on-startup>
</servlet>
<servlet-mapping>
<servlet-name>RESTBeans Application</servlet-name>
<url-pattern>/restbean/*</url-pattern>
</servlet-mapping>
Add these to your project web.xml, replacing any lines that look similar (the web.xml in the sample project has these lines that you'll need to replace:
<servlet>
<servlet-name>ServletAdaptor</servlet-name>
<servlet-class>com.sun.ws.rest.impl.servlet.ServletAdaptor</servlet-class>
<init-param>
<param-name>resources</param-name>
<param-value>test1</param-value>
</init-param>
</servlet>
<servlet-mapping>
<!-- this is a comment -->
<servlet-name>ServletAdaptor</servlet-name>
<url-pattern>/*</url-pattern>
</servlet-mapping>
Now you need to turn off automatic web.xml generation by adding <option key="noservlet"/> to the apt task option in build.xml (look for the apt child of the -pre-compile task in build.xml).
Clean and rebuild and make sure that the web.xml in the generated .war file now matches the project web.xml file.

IPhone 5 w/iOS 6.0 (10A405) crashes when moving apps
Not sure what the offending problem might be, but was wondering if anyone else is having this issue too?
I have the new iPhone 5 64GB AT&T version of the iPhone. Currently I have 246 apps installed on the iPhone which takes about 9GBs of storage and 6 home screens. My problem is when I move an app icon from one home screen to another it will crash the phone and the iPhone will restart. It doesn't matter if the app has the "new" banner or not. If I move it across to more than one home screen it will crash. If I move it to one home screen over, it doesn't crash.
Could it be a bad application installed or an inherit bug within iOS 6? I found another person with this same issue on another forum.List of Apps installed:

the valid jpql keywords can be found in the ejb 3 persistence specification. You can download it form here:
[http://jcp.org/aboutJava/communityprocess/final/jsr220/index.html]
Btw. if you try to enforce case sensitive comparison on your columns you must define them using the appropriate collation.
For example
@Column(columnDefinition="varchar(200) COLLATE latin1_bin")
should work.
This way you won't need the BINARY keyword at all.

What do you have in your LocalGPOPAck? And do you have logs uploaded somewhere? Are you deploying Win 7/8.1?
If this post is helpful please click "Mark for answer", thanks! Kind regards -

Mass Agent Deployment, fails when install
After trying to install, sometimes not only one, the Mass Agent Deployment, release 10.1.0.3, in Linux RED HAT 3 ES/AS, when trying to run runInstaller, I have ever the same response, 'TMP directory is full or cannot write files in Orainst<timestamp> directory, needing 60 MB of free space.
I have 16 GB of free space.
Any help?
thanks in advanced.
regards.I solved it by doing following steps on the OMS server:
# unzip <OMS_HOME>/agent_download/10.2.0.1.0/hpunix/prereqs/prereq_hpunix.jar
# cd /oracle/product/oms10g/sysman/agent_download/
# cd 10.2.0.1.0/hpunix/prereqs/prereqs/agent
# vi oui_refhost.xml
In this file replace the <PACKAGE VALUE= lines for something you have already installed, I used the secure shell package, which you must have installed to use agent deployment:
<OPERATING_SYSTEM>
<VERSION VALUE="B.11.11"/>
<ARCHITECTURE VALUE="PA_RISC2.0"/>
<NAME VALUE="HP-UX"/>
<VENDOR VALUE="HP Corp"/>
<PACKAGES>
<PACKAGE VALUE="T1471AA" VERSION="0.0" />
<PACKAGE VALUE="Secure_Shell" VERSION="0.0" />
</PACKAGES>
# zip -r prereqs.zip META-INF
# zip -r prereqs.zip prereqs
# mv prereqs.zip prereq_hpunix.jar
After doing this retry the procedure. -
Deployment failing when running .bat script or command line file package
HI Guys,
I am trying to run a .bat file on a client using a program. My data source point to the script's folder.
I keeps failing with error 1.
I have trying making run in 64-bit using this without luck: http://madluka.wordpress.com/2012/09/24/configmgr-2012-64bit-file-system-redirection-bites-again/
Here is the content of my .bat file:
@ECHO OFF
IF NOT "%PROCESSOR_ARCHITEW6432%"=="AMD64" GOTO native
ECHO "Re-launching Script in Native Command Processor..."
%SystemRoot%\Sysnative\cmd.exe /c %0 %*
EXIT
:native
ECHO "Running Script in Native Command Processor..."
c:\
cd c:\windows\System32
start cmd.exe /c shutdown -l
stop
I will get the same error when running a simply command line as well. Instead of a .bat file.
any ideas?Maybe this will help you:

This instead of using "shutdown.exe -l" command. This tool can be used for logoff also. Hope it helps!

Launch Failed when running app.
Hi, I am very new to Flex 2.
I have the SessionTracker sample app and another one I am
developing. Using the Flex 2 Builder I run SessionTracker. I then
close the SessionTracker project, open my test project and attempt
to run it. It fails with this message:
'Project "SessionTracker' does not exist or is closed. If the
project is closed, open it to continue.'
I have reviewed all of the project's properties and don't see
where SessionTracker is referenced.
How to I get Flex to run my test project and not the
previously opened project?
thx pwpSounds like you are using the Eclipse Plugin-based version of
Flex Builder,
rather than the standalone version.
In the plugin version, we inherit the standard Eclipse
behavior for the Run
and Debug buttons, which is that they re-launch the most
recently launched
configuration.
We didn't really agree with that design, so in the standalone
version, the Run
and Debug buttons mean to launch the currently selected
application.
In the plugin version, the workaround is to do Run > Run
As > Flex Application
or Debug > Debug As > Flex Application. Those commands
will launch the
currently selected application. (They look for an existing
"launch
configuration," and use it if they can find it; if they can't
find one, then
they create a new one.)
Both of those commands have keyboard shortcuts, as you can
see on the menus:
Run > Run As > Flex Application is (Alt-Shift-X, F);
Debug > Debug As > Flex
Application is (Alt-Shift-D, F). You can change those key
bindings if you
want, via Window > Preferences, General, Keys.

Out of box auto deployment fails when trying to set up first DC in new domain
Tried to configure and deploy windows server 2012 R2 essential many times. It's the most simple scenario -- PDC in first domain. However, every time it stuck at around 67% and gave me an error about not able to continue. The group policy list is empty, DNS
could not replicate, everything seems to point to no domain controller found, which is weird, since it should be PDC itself.
nslookup results seem to be fine on itself. But of course I couldn't create a reverse zone.
Please Help!Hi 2nbc,
1. If you are build the fresh install on a computer and it can’t complete please try to Re-Download your image then try again.
2. As far as I know the essential must is the first “domain computer”, we can not join the Essential to the exist domain then promote it as a DC. Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials
must be the domain controller at the root of the forest and domain, and must hold all the FSMO roles.
