Deployment of the ADF customizations to sandbox, using mar profile.

Hi,
We are working on ADF customization, we have done some customization, which we want to test.
Now issue is we dont have direct connectivity to the instance, but we have em/console access, can you please let us know if we can deploy the mar file using em console to sandbox.
we dont want to disturb the whole application, until we test our application in sandbox.

I think this same question is open in another thread your have. As mentioned the support for doing an import of
a customization into an environment depends on what kind of Cloud support you have, I believe.
Please contact the cloud hosting support team who should be able to confirm what services in this area they can offer.

Thanks for the pointer.
I located the missing libraries by finding those that looked like the ones you recommended. The locations can be found by looking them up in the JDeveloper project Libraries and Classpath (click on an entry and select the view button):
jsf-ri-12.war
jsf-ri.jar
jsf-api.jar
glassfish.jstl_1.2.0.1.jar
I copied these to the tomcat-6.0.18\lib level rather than putting them in the project lib.
Works great.

Invalidating the ADF application if not used for 20mins?

My Jdev Version is 11.1.1.5.0.
i have developed one ADF application of 7 pages(navigation is provided in between the pages).
Even after closing the ADF application session is not being closed its still opened in background.
so i want to close the session if user don't perform any operation for 20 mins.
How can i achieve this?
what code should i include in my page?
where should i include?
if i need to include any code should i include in all my 7 pages?
please give suggestions to get me out of this issue.

On a 3 system network and utilizing a network harddrive to store the profiles, 2 systems work fine, the 3rd indicates 'file being used' and wants to use another profile.

All 3 systems are running Firefox 3.6.6. What is the problem? Please note that the same setup was used for Thunderbird and ALL 3 systems worked as planned.

netsh winhttp show proxy revealed that proxy settings were set to a test proxy without bypassing local addresses.
I used netsh winhttp set proxy proxy-server="http=proxy.mydomain.net:8080" bypass-list="*.mydomain.net;<local>"
to set the correct proxy settings, restarted the server and updates started coming in.

ADF customization using MDS

I have a few questions about ADF customization using MDS...
1) Is it intended that this functionality will be part of the ADF Rich Faces Apache donation or is it going to be something licensed by Oracle?
2) The old (or not so old) EBusiness OAF framework had lots of customization/personalisation stuff i.e. where you could add fields, remove fields, change table column orders and add a column via the browser. Is MDS functionally similar?
3) Will using ADF customization mean that I have to use ADF Business Components.
4) How many different data store options are there i.e. can the meta data be persisted to different types of database such as MySQL or SQLServer (sorry, my company needs to be database agnostic) or even the file system.

1) I haven't heard of a plan like that. MDS has nothing to do with ADF Faces directly and is a different set of technology.
2) MDS is supposed to replace that, yes

Deployed lists in a SharePoint hosted app use the wrong content type.

I am using Visual Studio Ultimate 2013 to deploy a SharePoint hosted app to my SharePoint 2013 development environment.
I have created 2 lists, one of which is using a custom content type with custom columns and the other is just a simple custom list definition and instance, all of which are deployed inside the same feature.
However when I go to the simple list, it is using the content type from the other list, even though in the schema.xml shows that it is not supposed to use this content type. I have checked the content type ID and it is not referencing my custom content type,
but for some reason the list is using that content type.
I remember seeing this same issue a few months ago while creating a SP2010 sandbox solution. It could well be something I'm doing wrong when creating the lists/content type.
Steps to recreate this issue:
Create a SharePoint hosted app in VS
Create some custom fields
Create a custom content type
Create a list based on that content type
Create another list not based on the content type
Delete feature that VS creates for the second list and add the list def and instance to the main feature (containing the other list and content type)
Deploy and go to second list, note that it has the custom fields from the first list.
Any advice on what to do about this would be great. I have tried deleting the list and recreating it in VS several times but that didn't work.

I have now tested against a trail Office 365 Developer site and I had to make a few adjustments
- change the url
- change the target to SharePoint Onlne
- change the url
I still wasn't happy so I created a new SharePoint Hosted app and pointed at the above developer site. I copied my CrossDomainExec.js and stripped all my code except my CopyItemInSameLIbrary method which hasn't changed since I created this post.
- changed the App Manifest permissions to Web -full Control ( was previously tenant)
I still got errors which is really painful as you don't even see the POST request in Fiddler
The URL used for my POST is as follows ( note host URL is fictitious)

I have all the ADF libraries in applib of OC4J. Also, i have added "jsp-el-api.jar" in the applib of OC4J, as mention in reply to similar error in the forum.
But still i am getting the same error when i try to deploy the application.

The one you're missing is something like commons-logging-xxx.jar. It either needs to be included in the EAR and the MANIFEST.MF, or you can put it in app-lib with the other stuff.

Close the ADF popup window from deployed JSP in other server

I am attempting to open jsp page which one is deployed on tomcat server in adf pop up window from cmd button event.and this first jsp will forward to second jsp and i should able to close from pop window from second jsp close button.
This is what i did:
1) created pop-up window and run the delployed jsp on pop up page
2) i used window.close script in second jsp but not popup window is not get closed .
help me to achieve this pblm ....

i was trying to open &close other server's jsp from ADF pop-up window ... so base is internal window (pop-up) only ,
and already i used onclick="window.close();" in command button...but its not closeing the adf pop-up window ... how that jsp cmd button onclick event take control of adf pop-up to close ?

How to deploy the ADF libraries to the OracleAS

my app does not run because ADF is not supported yet.
How do I deploy the ADF libraries to the OracleAS ?
I have tried ticking the ADF Model Runtime and ADF Controller runtime on the War deployment profile settings panel under WEB-INF/lib, but this did not work

Apart from these, I have Model and View Controller projects in the application. If I create the ADF task flow based on a Human task in another sample application, it works fine. Only in this application, it does not work. Not sure what this error is. Any ideas?

What I suggest is go into EM and undeploy this composite and all versions. (Only if you don't want the existing ones). Then redeploy your process. This will avoid the version conflict and create a new version. 1.0. Then the next time you try and deploy you need to either specify a new version or check the box to say the version can be over written.

About to deploy with the navy, can i use my ipad2 overseas?

i intend on getting my husband an ipad2 while he is on deployment with the navy. my question is, if he is in another country will he be able to use it for face talk so he can see his baby daughter? more than likely he will only go to england and dubai which are both big places...so i just want to know if it would even work before i paid 500$ for it.

UNLIKE MANY OF THESE REPLIES, I can GUARANTEE you that FaceTime will work in every country, as ong as your husband has wifi (wireless internet connection)!
The reason it didn't work before in Dubai and some other countries, is because FaceTime would need to be activated by communicating to the Carrier, and some carriers like in China or Dubai would not let you... Although since the iPod touch 4, FaceTime has been activated through an apple id account...

To move to Safari 6 you would have to install Lion or Mountain Lion. Perhaps try contacting Google/gmail about the issue and why they are not supporting your version of Safari.

Packaging and Deploying the ADF Application From JDeveloper to weblogic

I Have Created ADF Project in JDeveloper.
I had created the EAR file from JDeveloper (from deployment tab) to deploy my project on weblogic server (Other Than Integrated Weblogic Server).
i have already installed ApplicationDevelopment Runtime (ADR) on weblogic and also extend the domain with JRF.
but when i try to deploy it on my weblogic it gives me the following exceptions :
An error occurred during activation of changes, please see the log for details.

but when i try to deploy the ADF application it gives me some tags missing exception
the exception gone when i insert the following jar files :

How to delete the row from the ADF table using popup box

I have one requirement like need to delete a record from the table, but that time need to show one popup window for confirmation of the deletion. I am using Delete buttom from the vo operations. I am able to delete the row with out popup but when i used the popup that time deletion is not happening.
