Deployment problem and DOMUserDefRef.dll

Hi,
I'm having a problem with deployment. I took over a project from a co-worker. When we use the same build description, in his executable build the DLL  DOMUserDefRef.dll is included, but not in my builds.
I detected this only when the end user (our customer) tried to run the program built by me, and it failed mysteriously. Of course, the built executables run just fine on my machine.
It is perhaps worth noticing that on his machine, the preview includes the DLL and on mine of course not. The DLL is in my dependencies, though. But if I look at the file view, there is already a difference: on my machine the DLL is shown without a path, on his it has the path to the <run-time>\resources directory. I've checked that the DLL is NOT in the %PATH% on my machine.
I can of course somehow add the DLL by hand to the build and distribute it, but I really want to understand what is happening here. Both computers used to build the executable are Windows 7 / 64 Bit with LabVIEW 2011 SP1f2 / 32 Bit, and I just cross-checked that the projects are identical by just copying it from his machine.
Can anyone sched some light on what may be happening here?
Thanks,

On a first look, I can reproduce this problem on two PCs having LV2012 installed. The PC on which it builds OK doesn't have 2012. So far, so good. But why should a LV2012 installation break builds in LV2011 ?
There is only one App Builder.  If you are primarrilly working in a version that is not the latest installed on the machine its usually "Best Practice" to not install the later App Builder since you never know when those little details can rear up and bite you.
To downgrade the app builder, uninstall the app builder only and reinstall from the older media.

    Well I was able to successfully revert back to iTunes8. Here's my steps:
    1. In Add/Remove Programs I deleted all Apple products (iTunes, QuickTime, Safari, Bonjour, etc.)
    2. I then check C:\Program Files\ and made sure all folders were deleted (QuickTime, etc.)
    3. I then ran a Registry Cleaner program to make sure all entries from Apple products were removed.
    4. I then rebooted my PC
    5. I then downloaded iTunes8.0.2 from here: http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/ipod_itunes/itunes802forwindows.html
    6. After it installed it said it could use my iTunes library file because it was created with a newer version. So I re-created my library by following these steps: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1451
    It took some time but iTunes is now back up and running. And I have all my playlists, etc. I haven't tried to sync anything yet. I'm just thrilled to have my iTunes back!

    2. iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 126).
    Now I've checked the forums and followed the advice of uninstalling all Apple applications, rebooting, and reinstalling iTunes.
    This is not working. I've tried installing as Administrator but doesn't make any difference at all.
    There must be a way to fix this? I'm not a tech geek but I want to avoid having to take my laptop back to factory settings to sort this out.
    Thanks

    Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

  • Ejb and jsproc deployment problems

    Am trying to deploy the java stored procedure (jsp) example
    (jsproc subdirectory in acmevideo directory) and the enterprise
    java bean (ejb) example (ejb subdirectory in acmevideo
    directory). Both use the business and util subdirectries of
    acmevideo directory. These examples are provided with
    JDeveloper.
    In the case of the jsp example, the files compile fine in
    JDeveloper. The deployment profile file is created okay using
    the Stored Procedure Profile Wizard. But when the jsp is
    attempted to be deployed by right clicking the deployment
    profile file menu in JDeveloper, the following errors appear:
    SQL error during creation of acmevideo/util/DataWrapper
    ORA-00922 - missing or invalid option
    SQL error during creation of acmevideo/business/TitleQueries
    ORA-00922 - missing or invalid option
    Is there a corrective action for these errors? Are the details
    recorded in any log so that these errors can be troubleshooted?
    In the case of the jbe example, the files compile fine in
    JDeveloper. The deployment profile file is created okay using
    the EJB Profile Wizard. But when the jsp is attempted to be
    deployed by right clicking the deployment profile file menu in
    JDeveloper, the following happens:
    The message indicating that the deployment will take a few
    minues continues to show forever. There is no completion,
    and one is forced to cancel the process.
    This happens when using the port settings of 1521, 1526 (Oracle
    listener ports) or 2651 (OAS ORB port). Specifying the service
    or omitting it yeilds the same results.
    Is there a corrective action for this? Are the details recorded
    in any log so that these errors can be troubleshooted?
    For both the situations, is the classpath variable need to set
    outside the JDeveloper environment?

    We have ;) But I guess that doesn't count... Please have a look

    hi Richard!
    iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
    the first thing we should check with one of those is a broken quicktime. does your quicktime currently launch? if it doesn't, let's try a careful standalone QT install. see:

  • Problems and solutions for 9i DB R2 install on Redhat Linux AS 2.1

    Installing 9iDB R2 9.2.0.1.0 on Redhat Linux Advanced Server 2.1 (aka Redhat Enterprise Linux (AS))
    and applying patchset 2 (9.2.0.3.0)
    This is a certified platform but I hit many problems getting the install to work. Here are the problems I hit and how I solved them.
    Note: This is not intended to be a install for dummies but just an account of all my problems and how I overcame them. I spent 10 hours on this certified install (mostly looking for solutions to the problems I was having)
    I had a Intel Pentium 3 with 512 Meg RAM. (test machine)
    1. Install Redhat Linux
    2. Install Sun JDK 1.3.1 (this is not actually required for this install. I installed it as I was planning to install 9iAS after this)
    3. Install binutils-2.11.90.0.8-13 (also not required. I installed it for 9iAS)
    All other components were ok on my Redhat Linux install (i.e. kernel version, glibc)
    4. Create oracle user with dba group
    5. Create oracle home and oracle base directories. Ensure these are owned by oracle with rwx
    6. Set kernel parameters and make sure that they are initialized every startup:
    I managed to locate this script in the Redhat document called
    "Deploying Oracle9iTM on Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS"
    create a file called oracle.sh in /etc and give it execute permissions
    oracle.sh
    #!/bin/bash
    # configures kernel and system parameters for Oracle9i R2
    # File handles
    echo 65536 > /proc/sys/fs/file-max
    ulimit -n 65536

    # 4 GB : 2147483648

    # It is generally safe to leave these next two values as they are
    echo 4096 > /proc/sys/kernel/shmmni

    --------EOF--------------------
    7. create a generic oracle environment setup script for all users to run
    create the file /etc/profile.d/oracleenv.sh
    be sure to change the variables to your environment (ORACLE_BASE, ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID)
    oracleenv.sh
    # Configures the user's environment for Oracle9i R2

    export ORACLE_BASE ORACLE_HOME ORA_NLS33 ORACLE_SID LD_LIBRARY_PATH PATH
    ----EOF---------
    chmod 755 /etc/profile.d/oraclenv.sh
    This file will run when a user logs in.
    8. Install oracle DB
    This took me quite a few attempts.
    The first Install I did I received the error jre was not found. This issue seemed to be relating to the fact I was not installing on a Pentium 4. Oracle was looking for the jre in oracle.swd.jre/bin/i686 (and .../lib/i686) when some of the files were placed in i386 and java was looking in i386. This created a real mess. I had encountered a similar problem on a previous install on a different platform. I found articles of people that tried to just link the directories with symbolic links but this never worked. I tried my own version but also failed.
    The solution that worked for me was to de-install, remove all the oracle directories created by the install (this part I had always done) AND also delete the file /etc/oraInstl.loc. This makes the Installer truly believe this is the first time Oracle has been installed on this box. My jre problem disappeared after that. (I don't know why it just didn't work in the first place...)
    The next error I received was an ORA-03113 when creating the database (in the dbca). (It was actually at this point that I found the document from redhat as mentioned in my set 6 above) I also noticed that when running the install of the database, the default was for Oracle's SGA to use 70% of the available memory on my machine (I have 512M so that's 360M). Oracle instructed me to set shmmax to around 240M. This may be why the database creation failed as I thought the shmmax parameter needed to be larger that SGA. Anyway, I reduce the SGA to 50% and it worked.
    This error may also have been caused by the kernel parameters not being set properly after a reboot so if you implementing stop 6 above. You may never get this problem, hopefully.
    8. Install the universal Installer 2.2.0.18.0 (a prerequisite for installing the patchset 2)
    You will need this to install the patchset 2. You can get it from metalink by searching for the bug number in the patch area. Search for bug/patch number 2878462 in patches. (37Meg for linux intel)
    (Did you know that when oracle refer to a bug number, you should treat this as a patch number? General the bugs are not available for public viewing but oracle create a patch of the same number as a placeholder. So don't search for the bug in the site search or by doc id, go straight to the "patches" area and enter the bug number as a patch number, you'll have more success. - I only found that out today after struggling with metalink for the last 4 years)
    9. Install the patchset 2
    I downloaded patchset 2 (which will bring my DB version to 9.2.0.3.0) (220Meg). There is a special symbolic link command you'll need so make sure you remember to do this.
    i.e.
    $ cd $ORACLE_BASE/oui/bin/link
    $ ln -s libclntsh.so.9.0 libclntsh.so
    10. Migrate your database
    I could not get this to work. The docs says I need at least 150M shared_pool_size and 150M Java_pool_size before running the startup migrate. As I only have 512Meg RAM (and shmmax set to 230M) I did hold much hope that this would work. I started my DB without the migrate option just to see if it would actually open with 300M in my pools. It did, so I shut it down and restarted with the migrate option. After 5 minutes of heavy processing (I still have an empty database) my server appeared to hang. I decided to restart the machine and just re-create my DB with the new patchset already applied. I delete my $ORACLE_BASE/oradata/<sid> directory and remove the entry from /etc/oratab and re-created my DB. This worked fine :)
    I hope this document helps you for your install. Please drop me line if it does help and I'll endevour to write more documents like this one.
    Please drop me a quick line at [email protected] even just to say "thanks".
    I will include a few keywords here to help the searches find this document. (mainly the keywords I searched on and failed to find a doc like this one)
    ORA-03113 ORA-3113 03113 3113 jre was not found jre not found i686 i386 i586 9iDB R2 9.2.0.1.0 9.2.0.3.0 Redhat Advanced Server 2.1 AS Enterprise Linux (AS) RH install error installation errors oui dbca problem issue
    Good luck,
    Tim Daniell.

    The trick that worked for me was on a 2nd attempt. I installed once, let it fail with "jre was not found", de-install through the installer, delete all directories and files under $ORACLE_BASE (including $ORACLE_HOME), and also delete /etc/oraInst.loc.
    I don't know why it fixes itself with this. Oracle say this is an unresolved bug 2726268 that lies in the installer. This is still unresolved by Oracle (as at 02-June-03) therefore it is not a published bug/patch. If this doesn't work, I suggest you open an iTAR and see if Oracle has any more suggestions for you.
    Cheers,
    Tim.

  • Message Driven Bean deployment problem in SAILFIN b12

    Hi,
    I am a fresh learner in EJB technology and have been experiencing a deployment problem while attempting to deploy a very simple message driven bean, that does nothing basically, to a SAILFIN (b12) application server instance. I am using NetBeans 5.5.1 to form the message driven bean but I deploy the bean manually on a Linux terminal. The following is the code of the bean:
    package trial.mdb;
    import javax.annotation.Resource;
    import javax.ejb.ActivationConfigProperty;
    import javax.ejb.MessageDriven;
    import javax.jms.Message;
    import javax.jms.MessageListener;
    @MessageDriven(mappedName = "jms/MDB1", activationConfig = {
    @ActivationConfigProperty(propertyName = "acknowledgeMode", propertyValue = "Auto-acknowledge"),
    @ActivationConfigProperty(propertyName = "destinationType", propertyValue = "javax.jms.Queue")
    public class MDB1 implements MessageListener {
    /** Creates a new instance of MDB1 */
    public MDB1() {
    public void onMessage(Message message) {
    I got the following message after deployment attempt:
    "Command deploy executed successfully with following warning messages: Error occurred during application loading phase. The application will not run properly. Please fix your application and redeploy.
    WARNING: com.sun.enterprise.deployment.backend.IASDeploymentException: Error while loading EJB module [TrialMDB]. Please refer to the server log for more details."
    The verifier does not give any error, warning or failure message and it states "com.sun.enterprise.connectors.ConnectorRuntimeException: JMS resource not created : jms/MDB1;" in the server log. Below, I have stated the content of the server log. I am novice in EJB technology particularly in message driven beans so any help will be appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance.

    Hi thank you for your answer. I did not create any jms resource in the application server because my message driven bean was not implementing the MessageListener interface. Since it did not work in that way, I added the MessageListenerInterface to the bean and formed the necessary jms resources usuing the admin console of the SAILFIN but it keeps giving the same message both on the linux terminal and the server log.
    Let me explain my situation in a more detailed way. I am developing a JCA based resource adapter (i.e.) connector. The inbound module of the connector listens on a specific port for incoming messages from a server (EIS). The port property is defined in the connector's deployment descriptor. When a message reaches, the connector delivers it to the a message driven bean whose code is indicated in the following:
    package com....;
    import com....ra.facade.InboundListener;
    import javax.ejb.ActivationConfigProperty;
    import javax.ejb.MessageDriven;
    import javax.jms.Message;
    import javax.jms.MessageListener;
    import java.util.logging.*;
    * Entity class InboundMessageReceiverMDB
    * @author efikayd
    @MessageDriven(
    mappedName = "InboundMessageReceiverMDB",
    messageListenerInterface = com......ra.facade.InboundListener.class,
    activationConfig = {
    @ActivationConfigProperty(
    propertyName = "listenerPort", propertyValue = "12345"),
    @ActivationConfigProperty(
    propertyName="ConnectionFactoryJndiName", propertyValue="RAjms/MyQCF"),
    @ActivationConfigProperty(
    propertyName="DestinationName", propertyValue="MyQueue"),
    @ActivationConfigProperty(
    propertyName="DestinationType", propertyValue="javax.jms.Queue")
    public class InboundMessageReceiverMDB implements InboundListener, MessageListener {
    private static final Logger logger = Logger.getLogger("com.xyz.inbound.InboundMessageReceiverMDB");
    /** Creates a new instance of InboundMessageReceiverMDB */
    public InboundMessageReceiverMDB() {
    public void onMessage(Message message) {
    public void receiveMessage(String message) {
    logger.log(Level.SEVERE, "CLASS: " + getClass().getName() + "METHOD: receiveMessage() ==> Message received...: " + message);
    The listener interface is the following:
    package com...ra.facade;
    public interface InboundListener{
    public void receiveMessage(String message);
    I have set the JMS resource and the destination resource properties on the admin console in the following manner:
    ConnectionFactory:
    JNDI Name: RAjms/MyQCF
    Pool Name: RAjms/MyQCF
    Type: javax.jms.ConnectionFactory
    Status: enabled
    Property1 ==> Name: DestinationType Value: javax.jms.Queue
    Property2 ==> Name: DestinationName Value: MyQueue
    Destination (i.e. queue):
    JNDIName: MyQueue
    Physical Destination Name: MyQueue
    status: enabled
    Property1 ==> Name: DestinationType Value:javax.jms.Queue
    Property2 ==> Name: DestinationName Value:MyQueue
    Although I created the JMS resources as above I am getting the same problems.Do you think the above configuration is fine and appropriate to the activation configuration definitions in my message driven bean code? Am I missing something on this configuration? Below, I have indicated the message that I got on the linux terminal when I attempt to deploy the message driven bean and the related server log. They are same as what I posted before (i.e. JMS resource cannot be created...). Thank you very much in advance for your help.
    Kind regards,
    faydemir
    PS: The 'restart' command in the following linux terminal outcome basically makes a call to a bash script which deploys the message driven bean to the SAILFIN application server. The resource adapter instance is already deployed on the application server before attempting to deploy the message driven bean.
    WHILE DEPLOYING:
    ws2089 [11:29am] [home/efikayd/bin] -> ./restart
    Command deploy executed successfully with following warning messages: Error occurred during application loading phase. The application will not run properly. Please fix your application and redeploy.
    WARNING: com.sun.enterprise.deployment.backend.IASDeploymentException: Error while loading EJB module [InboundReceiverMDBModule]. Please refer to the server log for more details.

  • Content deployment problem

    An incremental content deployment job that has been working for years between two SharePoint 2007 farms has stopped working. There seems to be a problem with one of the sub-sites, but excluding it from the deployment job does not solve the problem and
    as far as the logs say, some parts of that site are still being exported and imported (unsuccessfully).
    The farms are both post SP3 but not exactly the same version. There also seems to be a slight difference between a specific list in the root sire between the two sites. I am sure the first difference has been around for a long time, the second one I am not
    sure but I am quite positive the error in the import process does not refer to the list in question.
    This is the relevant log fragment:
    [3/16/2015 8:38:44 PM]: Verbose: Updating field ContentTypeId.
    [3/16/2015 8:38:44 PM]: Verbose: Updating field _HasCopyDestinations.

    [3/16/2015 8:38:44 PM]: Completed with 1 errors.
    Changing the site selection or creating a new job with just the root site selected did not solve the problem either.
    We currently cannot run a full deployment job because of disk space limitations.
    Can we do anything besides creating a new content database and starting over?

    Have you had a look at Troubleshoot content deployment and Stefan Goßner's Content
    Deployment - Best Practices?
    You may need to increase the ULS logging level for Content Deployment to see more information about what is happening.

  • Real time deployment problems

    Im some having problems deploying my realtime applictation to my RT target.  Im unsing Labview 8.6 in windows and Real time 8.6.1 on an PXI-8110 target.
    When I first deploy the VI after the RT target boots,  The following error appears on the target screen:
    Error loading 'ws2_32.dll':missing export 'RegNotifyChangeKeyValue' from 'ADVAPI32.DLL'
    If I then try running it again, it will work fine without the error, deploys fine and the program runs fine.  Ive been ignoring this problem thoughout the development of this program because I just get the error the first time deploying it after the target boots.
    Now that my program is finished im trying to deploy it as a built application and set it to run on the RT controller at startup.  The program builds fine with no errors.  When I try to deploy it to the target, it fails to deploy.  There is no explanation in the error, it justs says that it failed to deploy.
    If I then go into the project explorer, right click on the main VI that the application is built with, select deploy, It deploys without error. after i do that, the realtime application I built will deploy without error.  However it will not run a startup, the controller boots, states it is loading the startup realtime application, then does nothing. Im wondering if the dll error before is related to it.
    Another note, I had this program running fine and deploying fine a few months ago with Labview 8.5 and Realtime 8.5 on a PXI 8106 controller.  These errors started popping up when I upgraded to RT 8.6.1 and labview 8.6.  I have tried formatting the controller and reinstalling everything but I get the same error.

    Mike-
    Take a look at the KnowledgeBase 3UJACBE9: FTP Transfer of Files between Host and Real-Time Targets in MAX.  As far as exactly what you will need on your PXI-8110 for your project, that can’t be defined on generalities.  These controllers are used for so many different applications, modules, toolkits, and different combinations of hardware, it would be impossible for National Instruments to say this is the perfect setup for everyone.
    ADVAPI32.dll is a System32 dll as described in this forum.  I would suggest taking a look at that thread for more of an explanation.

  • Quick time Player has encountered a problem and needs to close

    Hello,
    I am getting this message and it is driving me bonkers!
    "quick time Player has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience".
    Am running XP. Have uninstalled all Apple programs (QT, iTunes, update, bonjour, etc and in the order Apple recommends.) I re-installed QuickTime again.
    Same Problem.
    Went to the control panel and launched the quicktime control panel.
    QuickTime Preferences comes up. If i choose the "files type" tab this error comes up in a window:
    RUNDLL
    An exception occurred while trying to run "C:\WINDOWS\system32\shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\QTSystem\QuickTime.cpl",QuickTime"
    Clicking on this just closes the window.
    Some one on another post mentioned something about another codex takinhg the place of an original. How do I find if this is causing it if only to shut down that avenue of conceren?
    This has taken up SOOO much time I can't tell you and I can't use my iPhone or iTouch until I get it sorted.
    Any help would be much appreciated.

    Good work, craigeed. That's enough information (of precisely the right type) to suggest that you don't have a codec pack issue. If you had a codec pack problem, usually you'd get a rundll error if you just tried to open the control panel (and you're getting further in than that). Also, the rundll error for a codec pack problem would indicate that your QuickTime.cpl is lurking in the wrong place (down in the \system32\ directory). Your message is showing that your QuickTime.cpl is in precisely the correct location.
    So we'd better start checking on some other possibilities.
    The "QuickTime has encountered an error" message is pretty generic, but on at least some versions of QuickTime 7.x it has suggested malware problems. So we'd better try getting that off the table.
    Download fresh definitions and run vigorous virus and antispyware scans. If your security software providers offer them, try backing that up with an online virus scan. (That can sometimes pick up an infection even if the security software on the PC has been compromised.)
    Do the scans show up any problems? If so, does fixing them help with the QuickTime error?

  • InterVideo WinDVR Application has encountered a problem and needs to close.

    My TV Anywhere has suddenly stopoed working and the message "InterVideo WinDVR Application has encountered a problem and needs to close.  We are sorry for the inconvenience." appears each time I try to open the program.  MSI Radio works fine.  I have uninstalled and re-installed the programe (originally MSIPVS now MSIPVS3). I did try to download the new Beta drivers just to try, but the zip file shows 0 bytes!
    Has anyone come across this, or can anyone suggest what I can try to resolve the issue?
    Many thanks in anticipation
    Gareth

    Tried every troubleshooting tip in the Support Knowledgebase to no avail.
    Have been using Reader for years with never any problems and now I can't seem to get this fixed after numerous hours.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated. Is there a free support line I can call or is it paid support only?
    Thanks,

    Like others my problem was Adobe Reader 8.1.2 died terribly and with a buggy stench with the following error:
    AppName: acrord32.exe AppVer: 8.1.0.137 ModName: msvcr70.dll
    ModVer: 7.0.9466.0 Offset: 000013d6
    RESOLUTION ON XP SP2
    1. Control Panel, Users
    2. Create a new user account NewUser (for example)
    3. Start, Log Off
    4. Switch Users to the NewUser
    5. Wait the mini eternity for new user to be set up.
    6. Start Adobe Acrobat 8.1.2 and you will see a red splash screen along with some license updating things.
    7. Adobe 8.1.2 now starts fine under NewUser
    8. Switch back to your regular user name. Start, Log off, Switch Users
    Now a note to Adobe. Do you folks really have to make this such a frickin pain to get working? Do you at Acrobat have any idea of how much time we users blow and how much of our lives pass by while we try to re-download and work with this product? You are directly responsible for a small slow down in the world economy by this. Get the hint.... create an 8.1.3 that omits the secret code steps above.
    The only thing that kept my sanity during this were nice songs on channel 86 on SIRIUS. Thank you SIRIUS.
    Thanks,
    Jim

  • How do you use a SOA Composite after you have deployed it and tested it?

    I have created a SOA Composite application, deployed it with no problems, and tested and it works. However I am having trouble finding info on what to do next. I really would like to know how to use this SOA Composite application in a web application. I am trying to create an interface that would use the SOA composite. Any links to help would be greatly appreciated.
    This is the only help I have found so far, http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E28271_01/fusionapps.1111/e15524/uc_bpel_bc.htm

    Hi,
    It's a web service call, you go to EM get the WSDL and with it you generate the webservice client for your web application... By calling the web service you will be starting the composite...
