Deployments in OSB ?

Hi,
To deploy OSB Code to diff environment(dev-test-prod).
1. Can we deploy directly from OSB Console , like we have an option in SOA Enterprise Manager ?
2. If only scripts, can any one provide sample scripts WLST/Ant ?
Thanks

i assume you already have your customization file and your sbconfig.jar ready right?
go to the youhost:7001/sbconsole
Create a new session (button in the top left)
Go to System Administration > Import Resources > Browse > select the sbconfig.jar (deploy the new resources)
Go to System Administration > Execute Customization File > Browse > select the customization xml file for your environment
And Activate session
if you don't have a customization file yet, you can create a new one from the console too (option above the Execute Customization File option)
change the values for every environment you have and save the file with unique names and apply it on every environment at which you deploy the sbconfig.jar
*sbconfig.jar could be any name of the jar you create

  • [OSB10.3.1] err creating JMS stuff in OSB cluster from recorded WLS session

    Hi all,
    I've setup an OSB cluster with 2 managed servers.
    From WLS console I created successfully the below JMS resources:
    1. new file store, name and directory: MyFileStore_m01, target: bnk01osbm01 migratable
    2. new file store, name and directory: MyFileStore_m02, target: bnk01osbm02 migratable
    3. new jms server, name: MyJMSServer_m01, persistent store: MyFileStore_m01, target: bnk01osbm01 migratable
    4. new jms server, name: MyJMSServer_m02, persistent store: MyFileStore_m02, target: bnk01osbm02 migratable
    5. new jms module, name: MyJMSSystemModule, targets: cluster bnk01osbcluster + all servers in the cluster
    6. new xa conn factory, name: MyXAConnectionFactory, jndi name: MyXAConnectionFactory
    (targets as proposed by WLS itself: cluster bnk01osbcluster + all servers in the cluster)
    + XA Connection Factory Enabled: true
    7. new Distributed Queue, name: MyDistributedQueue1, jndi name: MyDistributedQueue1, load balancing policy: round-robin
    (targets as proposed by WLS itself: cluster bnk01osbcluster + all servers in the cluster)
    + allocate members uniformly: true
    and I recorded that into the included recorded_by_wls.py. As said no error has been raised.
    Then I removed the above JMS resources and I executed the recorded_by_wls.py from command line getting the error that I reported at the end of the email.
    I changed slightly the original py produced by WLS by adding only the below first 5 lines:
    print "Starting the script ..."
    connect("weblogic", "weblogic", "t3://wasdv1r3n1.dev.b-source.net:7031")
    edit()
    startEdit()
    cd('/')
    I included also the recorded_by_wls.py source at the end of the email.
    For information I reported also what I saw on WLS console when I created manually my JMS resources.
    Do you have an idea why a successfully recorded WLS session fails when executed from a command line ?
    Any help will be very appreciate.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    ferp

    Hi Ferp,
    Do you have an idea why a successfully recorded WLS session fails when executed from a command line ?It should not fail. Each and every successfully (activation has been done without reporting an error/conflict) recorded session will execute on other servers successfully until a unique name constraint gets violated.
    In your case this violation has happened. Your script is trying to create a distributed destination "MyDistributedQueue1" under module "MyJMSSystemModule", targetted to JMS Server "wlsbJMSServer_auto_2" but a Distributed Queue with same JNDI name already exists there.
    Please check.

  • OSB Error in deploying a project with jca file adapter

    Hi,
    I am facing an issue where I am getting an error when deploying a service from Eclipse. I am using OSB/SOA 11.1.1.5 2 node cluster. I have an OSB service where I am writing to a file and am using file adapater. I created a composite with file adapter to write a file then imported .jac, .wsdl and composite into eclipse and generated a business service out of .jca file. When I deploy the project from eclipse I am getting the below error and am not able to deploy the project.
    Conflicts found during publish.
    Invalid JCA transport endpoint configuration, exception: javax.resource.ResourceException: Cannot locate Java class oracle.tip.adapter.file.outbound.FileInteractionSpec
    Cannot locate Java class oracle.tip.adapter.file.outbound.FileInteractionSpec
    I have FileAdapter deployed and pointed to OSB manage servers cluster. Here is a snippet of config.xml.
    <app-deployment>
        <name>FileAdapter</name>
        <target>SOA_Cluster,OSB_Cluster</target>
        <module-type>rar</module-type>
        <source-path>/app/oracle/fmw/Oracle_SOA1/soa/connectors/FileAdapter.rar</source-path>
        <deployment-order>321</deployment-order>
        <plan-dir xsi:nil="true"></plan-dir>
        <plan-path>/app/oracle/shared/SOA_Cluster/dp/FileAdapterPlan.xml</plan-path>
        <security-dd-model>DDOnly</security-dd-model>
        <staging-mode>nostage</staging-mode>
      </app-deployment>
    Also inside console -> deployments  -> FileAdapter -> Targets and OSB_Cluster is checked also.
    Here is the .jca file
    <adapter-config name="writeFile" adapter="File Adapter" wsdlLocation="writeFile.wsdl" xmlns="http://platform.integration.oracle/blocks/adapter/fw/metadata">
      <connection-factory location="eis/HAFileAdapter"/>
      <endpoint-interaction portType="Write_ptt" operation="Write">
        <interaction-spec className="oracle.tip.adapter.file.outbound.FileInteractionSpec">
          <property name="PhysicalDirectory" value="C:\ORACLE"/>
          <property name="Append" value="false"/>
          <property name="FileNamingConvention" value="a_%SEQ%.doc"/>
          <property name="NumberMessages" value="1"/>
        </interaction-spec>
      </endpoint-interaction>
    </adapter-config>
    Any idea what might be wrong.
    Thanks.

    I already have the fileAdapter JNDI is already configured in console. The error I am getting is during the deployment
    Conflicts found during publish.
    Invalid JCA transport endpoint configuration, exception: javax.resource.ResourceException: Cannot locate Java class oracle.tip.adapter.file.outbound.FileInteractionSpec

    Hi,
    While testing an OSB proxy ,which uses a multi datasource to connect to a remote database, from the sbconsole.I am getting exceptions and it is not able to create/access the TopLink Session.

    Have you created XA data source? If yes then make sure that in connection factory you are assigning the JNDI name of data-source in XAdataSource property (NOT in datasource property). Also make sure that your datasource is up and running and you are updating the dbadapter after creating connection factory.

    Thanks

    From the error messages it does not seem to find any of the transport related jars (ftp, jca, email, etc..). Looks like there was an issue while creating the domain.
    Can you retry creating the domain and let us know if you are still getting the same error?

  • Error in exporting project in OSB 11.1.5

    Hi All,

    The export failed with exception: org.apache.xmlbeans.SchemaTypeLoaderException: XML-BEANS compiled schema: Could not locate compiled schema resource schemaorg_apache_xmlbeans/system/sC32E5426CD7FE802750A77E9B68AD947/insertelement.xsb (schemaorg_apache_xmlbeans.system.sC32E5426CD7FE802750A77E9B68AD947.insertelement) - code 0
    if some one have any idea please help
    I am selecting Export Resources and tried both following option.
         Export Projects
         Export Resources
    with included dependency....
    Environment:
    Oracle Service Bus Version: [Oracle Service Bus 11.1 ]
    Oracle Weblogic Server Version: [WebLogic Server 10.3.5.0 ]
    Please suggest some info.

    i guess you are exporting both deployments and system file
    you can not export system file without authorization what you need to do is that when exporting unchecked system and export rest of the files.

  • OSB File polling working twice with the same file

    I have a problem executing a proxy service that get files from a file system. Everything in the flow works as expected, but at a certain point I must wait an update on a database and the process awaits for that change. Everthing goes normal if the update comes within the next 1-7 minutes, but after that if the process is still there(generally 9-11 minutes), a second process is called and the file processed is the same. After the first process is called the folder is empty so I can not understand why the proxy is called again with the same file, since there is nothing on the folder. This can happen since I am doing database modifications.
    The process is only invoked twice with the same file, no process is called again(A Third one) if the two processes are still working, wich is weird. since nothing in my proxy logic returns to the beginning.
    Does "Weblogic/OSB" tends to free resources on a specified time, such as "Max Stuck Thread Time" but for files or other resources?
    Any ideas why this is happening
    Thanks in advance.

    I think this is due to transaction timeout. The PolledMessageListenerMDBEJB under File Transport provider has a transaction timeout of 10 minutes. So if you are having a very long running transactions which spans more than the 10 minutes, you might see the rollback happening due to timeout.
    To confirm is this is the case, when this issue occurs, Go to JMS Modules >jmsResources >wlsb.internal.transport.task.queue.file_auto_n >Monitoring. You should see messages in messages pending column.
    click Show Messages. Click on a message and check Delivery count. This should have a value 1 or more which should mean message has been rolled back atleast once before.
    if it is the case you can try modifying the transaction timeout value of PolledMessageListenerMDBEJB under File Transport provider in deployments and then update the file transport provider deployment. Parallely check with support on what is the official recommendation for increasing timeout.

  • OSB Resultcache Invalidation

    Hi,
    I am trying to invalidate the resultcache in OSB. As we don't know the correct format of key structure, I tried with using filters.
    Below is my client code to invalidate the Resultcache
    package com.service;
    import java.util.Set;
    import com.tangosol.net.CacheFactory;
    import com.tangosol.net.NamedCache;
    import com.tangosol.util.Filter;
    import com.tangosol.util.ValueExtractor;
    import com.tangosol.util.extractor.ReflectionExtractor;
    import com.tangosol.util.filter.EqualsFilter;
    public class ResultcacheInvalidation {
         * @param args
        public static void main(String[] args)
            System.setProperty("tangosol.coherence.cluster", "OSB-cluster");
            System.setProperty("tangosol.coherence.override","D:/Oracle/Middleware/user_projects/domains/soa_domain/config/osb/coherence/osb-coherence-override.xml");
            System.setProperty("tangosol.coherence.cacheconfig","D:/Oracle/Middleware/user_projects/domains/soa_domain/config/osb/coherence/osb-coherence-cache-config.xml");
            NamedCache cache=CacheFactory.getCache("/osb/service/ResultCache");
            ValueExtractor extractor = new ReflectionExtractor("getToken");
            Filter f1=new EqualsFilter(extractor,3);
            Set setKeys = cache.keySet(f1);
            System.out.println(setKeys);
            cache.keySet().removeAll(setKeys);
    But i am end up with below error

    Is there a way to invalidate the resultcache of OSB?
    So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi
    I have the same requirement to write an OSB helper class (called from java callout feature within OSB) to remove a particular key from cache set by OSB services.
    Is there a solution available?
    Thanks

  • OSB Business Service Scripted Automation Testing

    Hi,
    The dilemma I am facing is to create some sort of automated process of testing of Business Services created in OSB, perhaps via ANT and Phyton, to be used as verification after deployments by deployment team. I am trying to have the scripted process to run certain request payloads from specified location against business services and compare the results with expected responses stored in some directory and report the health of the business services, based on this comparison.
    I appreciate any help in advance.

    Thank you so much for your response Pierluigi, but one other dilemma I have is not to install any application on any of the domain and achieve this through some sort of perhaps ANT and/or Phyton script, since I am not allowed to install any thing on production servers.
    Thanks,
    Mani

  • Issue in Synchronous OSB using Jms Queues in OSB11g

    Hi,
    I am working on building a synchronous OSB using the following steps.
    1)     Creating the Synchronous OSB Proxy Service which routes the message to the business service which in turn places a message in the Queue(inqueue) by populating the JMSCorrelationId and waits for the response message to consume from another queue.
    2)     A Composite(SOA) will consume the message from this Queue
    3)     It will do necessary transformation and Places it in another Queue (Say Response Queue).
    4)     OSB Business service waiting in Step 1 will receive the response from this response Queue.
    I used a sample Wsdl which has both request and response message types.
    I observed that the correlation ID is maintained properly from inqueue to response queue. But the message is not getting picked up by OSB from the response Queue
    Twist: It is working absolutely fine in OSB 10g but it is not working in OSB 11g.
    I tried using Messaging service as well as using the sample WSDL i.e keepiing the soap message in the queue. Both the cases are working absolutely fine OSB 10g but not in OSB 11g.
    Can anyone faced a similar issue or any pointers will be great help in this regard.
    Regards,
    Ashok

    To debug this further can you check if the response Q has any active consumers. ? When you use response by correlation ID business service, OSB actually creates MDB's with message selectors under the hood.
    This is a sample of the ejb-jar.xml of the MDB created for a business service with response by Correlation ID pattern.
    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?>
    <jav:ejb-jar xmlns:jav="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee">
    <jav:display-name>BEA ALSB JMS Outbound Sync-Async Endpoint</jav:display-name>
    <jav:enterprise-beans>
    <jav:message-driven>
    <jav:ejb-name>ResponseEJB-6577847719916437493-3893eeb7.1287d30ba4f.-7fe1</jav:ejb-name>
    <jav:ejb-class>com.bea.wli.sb.transports.jms.JmsAsyncResponseMDB</jav:ejb-class>
    <jav:transaction-type>Container</jav:transaction-type>
    <jav:message-destination-type>javax.jms.Queue</jav:message-destination-type>
    <jav:activation-config>
    *<jav:activation-config-property>*
    *<jav:activation-config-property-name>messageSelector</jav:activation-config-property-name>*
    *<jav:activation-config-property-value>JMSCorrelationID LIKE 'ID:424541534594cf52%'</jav:activation-config-property-value>*
    *</jav:activation-config-property>*
    </jav:activation-config>
    <jav:env-entry>
    <jav:env-entry-name>service-ref</jav:env-entry-name>
    <jav:env-entry-type>java.lang.String</jav:env-entry-type>
    <jav:env-entry-value>BusinessService$Test$RequestQ</jav:env-entry-value>
    </jav:env-entry>
    As you can see the message selector is based on JMSCorrelationID LIKE 'ID:424541534594cf52%'. This means the business service will pick only those messages which has its correlation ID starting with ID:424541534594cf52.
    You can see the message selector for your MDB from admin console --> deployments.
    Check and confirm if the correlation ID created in the request also starts with this value and the same is send back from the server. Also try deleting and recreating the business service or rename the business service which will create a new MDB under the hood and check the above.

  • Deploying Resources Selectively on OSB

    Hi,
    Few questions on deployments:
    1. Is it a good idea to create/deploy new Proxy and/or Business services on a live production OSB?
    2. Is their a way to selectively deploy only a few resources instead of a complete project? i.e. If I create a new proxy on my local machine and and want this and only this to be promoted to the Test (and Prod later).
    I have the script for exporting/importing the whole project but not sure how to do this for individual resource. Any pointers would help.
    Also, is using Java client for deployment and good idea?
    Thanks,
    inder

    Hello Inder,
    1. Is it a good idea to create/deploy new Proxy and/or Business services on a live production OSB?No. You should create it first in Dev environment and after testing it properly migrate the configuration to production
    2. Is their a way to selectively deploy only a few resources instead of a complete project? i.e. If I create a new proxy on my local machine and and want this and only this to be promoted to the Test (and Prod later).Yes, you can do it using import and export of resources only and not the entire project. You may refer -
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13159_01/osb/docs10gr3/consolehelp/import_export.html
    I have the script for exporting/importing the whole project but not sure how to do this for individual resource. Any pointers would help.Please refer -
    OSB Build and customization file
    Export OSB configuration jar file using Ant
    Also, is using Java client for deployment and good idea?Yes, you may use Java client. There are certain public java API's which you may use for this purpose.

  • OSB "Import Resources" causing OutMemoryError

    Hello,
    We have a pre-production Oracle Service Bus with an intensive amount of development activity - a lot of deployments and testing.
    For deployment we use System Administration > Import Resources , and upload a JAR from Eclipse workspace.
    The thing is that after 20-30 deployments, the logs start to show Warnings of Low Memory, and a few later Errors like this:

    After that, there is no other solution than rebooting the whole WLS and OSB, because even the consoles are not accessible.
    Is there some way to check memory levels, JVM heap occupation, or to prevent this problem from appearing?
    Thanks in advance!

    Suspect you've too many tasks in the OSB admin history.
    OSB remembers the deployment tasks and everything else you do through the console to allow them to be undone. Unfortunately, it seems to try and load these all into memory so if you've done a lot of deployments, you'll eventually run out of memory.
    If you can start the admin server, go to the OSB admin console and purge all tasks. If it won't start, then rename $domain/osb and start the admin server. You'll have to do a fresh configuration deployment, but at least you can start the server.
    I did raise an SR on this a long time ago but was unable to reproduce the problem, though I have seen it again since then.
    HTH

  • OSB installation

    I have installed Weblogic and SOA server (11.1.1.5) on my Ubuntu developer machine and am up and running fine. I have now attempted to install OSB but am not sure it worked successfully.
    I believe the install worked ok as there is a Oracle_OSB1/ directory within my Middleware directory. I ran the configuration GUI and extended my existing domain, so I believe that worked fine, particularly since I now see the WLI_QS_REPORT_DATA and WLI_QS_REPORT_ATTRIBUTE tables within the SOA repository.
    My problem is that I can't bring up the OSB console ... I'm trying http://localhost:7001/sbconsole, which is giving me a 404. Some more info:
    - single domain called "*domain1*"
    - Admin server listening on port 7001
    - Managed server "*soa_server1*" listening on port 8001
    - Managed server "*bam_server1*" listening on port 9001 but SHUTDOWN
    Am I doing something wrong?
    - Joe

    One thing I noticed when installing the OSB software was that the prerequisite check failed. It seemed to indicate that package gtk2 was not installed, but Synaptic shows that libgtk2.0-0 is installed, so it might be a red herring.
    I don't see anything of interest in the admin logs, but there's alot in there.
    I have 27 items deployed (Home >Summary of Deployments):

    Thanks for the response mr. Taylor.
    As I said, I extended my domain with single server topology and noticed that none of the osb modules were deployed on weblogic. So, although the domain is extended now It seems as if nothing happened since none of the osb features are working. This includes its console http://host:port/sbconsole which does not work, and also enterprise manager /em . I think there is something strange because when I tried to create a new domain, instead of extending, everything worked normal: Lots of OSB modules deployed on Weblogic and the /sbconsole and /em consoles working just fine. But I simple can't recreate the domain because of the multitude of configurations that would need to be redone.
    Any help will be appretiated !
    Thanks

  • Edifact to Xml using osb

    Hi ,
    i need to know how to do accept edifact request and generate corresponding xml response using osb .
    Would i need to use B2b adapter for it , please guide me how to proceed further for this .
    I have went to url
    [http://blogs.oracle.com/oracleb2bgurus/entry/osb_-_b2b_integration_-_edifac]
    But how to make B2B Translation webservice and how to use B2B console

    Hi Anuj,
    I tried using Translate web service as you mentioned , i want to translate EDIFACT payload to native using translation web service of B2B.
    I used otn sample b2b-003-edifact_orders_1.0_dist
    Steps i used are as follows :
    1. I created EDIFACT Document Definition Orders_def, using EDIFACT_D98A_ORDERS.xsd and EDIFACT_D98A_ORDERS.ecs provided with sample.
    2. Created two partners Acme and GlobalChips and deployed the document definitions on both partners Acme(as sender) and GlobalChips(as receiver).
    3. Created Acme_GlobalChips_EDIFACT_D98A_Orders_AS2 agreement and deployed the same also , under managed deployments its showing active also.
    4. I imported wsdl of B2B Translate web service and created the Business Service out of it, on OSB.
    5. I tested the Business service with EDI payload as following
    <soap:Envelope      xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
    <soap:Body      xmlns:ns1="http://xmlns.oracle.com/integration/b2b">
