Dequeuing XML Gateway Messages enqueued with WF_SEND with Block Mode = Y

I am developing a process to dequeue message from the ECX_OUTBOUND queue. The message is enqueued by an Oracle Workflow processes which raises a WF_SEND event. The Block Mode attribute of the WF_SEND event is set to "Y" which causes the workflow activity to wait for a response from the messaging system. The XML Gateway User's Guide says "the messaging system (such as OTA or Webmethods) will return the delivery status regardless of success or failure".
My process successfully dequeues the message but the workflow process remains active waiting for a response.
How do I return a response (the delivery status) to XML Gateway to cause the workflow to continue or error?

Hi,
Run the diagnostics script in (Note: 732295.1 - R12.0.6+ : Oracle Application Object Library XML Gateway Engine Setup Test) and see if it returns any error/warning messages.

Hussein

  • Oracle XML Gateway Message Designer for Oracle EBS R12.1.2

    Goog Day to everyone!
    I'm Looking for the tool "XML Gateway Message Designer". I have found in Metalink(Oracle Support) the note ID 557101.1, here explain how to get the message designer for Oracle Apps R12. It says that you have to download the patch 4066964. This patch install the Oracle Workflow Builder (2.6.3.0.1) and the Oracle XML Gateway Message Designer (2.6.3). This tools are supported to be used with Oracle Apps 11.5.10 and 12.0.X.
    The release of Oracle Apps that I'm using is 12.1.2.
    Questions:
    - The version of the Message Designer that you get from patch 4066964 works for OraApps R12.1.2 ?
    - The version of the Workflow Builder that you get from patch 4066964 works for OraApps R12.1.2 ?
    - If the version of Message Designer doesn't work with OraApps R12.1.2, where can I find one that works with it?
    Thanks for your advice.

    Hi Hussein,
    Thanks for replay.
    I downloaded the rapid install package from e-delivery. The B53824-01_4of4 was the OWB installer, and it has a readme file that says: "+This patch contains Oracle Workflow Builder (version 2.6.3.0.1) and Oracle XML Gateway Message Designer (version 2.6.3). These client tools are supported for use with an Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1 instance.+"
    I believe, as well as you, that it should be work for 12.1.2.
    I'm gonna make some test, and in a few days I will post my results.
    Thanks for the help.

  • Seeking examples of custom XML Gateway message map

    I've been asked to create some custom XML Gateway message maps for inbound/outbound XML data feeds.
    I've followed along at [this tutorial|http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E12839_01/integration.1111/e10537/T430238T430339.htm#T430357], but it stops short of telling me how to define a custom message map.
    Does anyone know of a resource I could look at - a web site, book, etc., that would cover the creation of a custom message map?

    Have a look

  • Setting up Oracle XML Gateway for EBS 12.1.3

    Hi Experts,
    We are currently working on R12.1.3 and was asked to check on how to setup/integrate XML Gateway on R12.1.3.
    I have gone though many pages of this forums and checked the support ID's as given below :
    Installing Oracle XML Gateway and Oracle Workflow with Oracle Applications 11i [ID 152775.1]  -->  Its for 11i, don't find the same for R12.
    Oracle XML Gateway Release Notes, Release 12.1.3 --> does not help giving the information on how to setup XML Gateway
    Found the below link but not sure if this is what was asked and looks like Client Desktop Installation.
    11i - 12 How To Download and Install the Latest Oracle Workflow Builder (Client Tool) and XML Gateway Message Designer for E-Business (Doc ID 261028.1)
    I don't know much about Oracle XML Gateway and how to integrate this to EBS R12, I am not able to find how to integrate this with the existing R12.1.3.
    Please someone guide me though this.
    Also, I would like to know what benefit could we get with XML Gateway setup when we have the workflows and similar setups already available with R12.1.3, and is there is a way to work out the XML messages inside R12.1.3 without setting up XML Gateway.
    Experts please clarify the above and guide me and would highly appreciate for a quick response.

    Hi Sandy,
    Did you try the documentation library? The following gives you a detail explanation on how you can setup XML gateway on R12.1.3:

  • Oracle EBS XML Gateway inboud senario

    Hi folks,
    Now I am trying to do Oracle EBS XML Gateway inbound senario using OTA and WID/WPS.
    For using OTA, after I send a request from OTA client, then I can see a record inserted into table ecx_inqueue, then this record dispear. I see this request is processed sucessfully in transaction monitor. I can see request data is stored in predefined data table.
    But when using WID/WPS to sent a request, I get ResponseCode 200 and also see a record inserted into table WF_WS_JMS_IN, then this record dispear. But from transaction monitor I cannot find this transaction record not matter it is successful or error or warning. I also cannot see the request data in data table.
    In table wf_error, there isn't my record.
    Is there anyone who can help me figure out how to see whether my request is sucessful or failed? If it is sucessful, I should see it in transaction monitor; if it is failed, I should see it in table wf_error. But now I cannot find it.
    Some one who is familar with the whole process, pls help me to understand.
    Thanks in advance.

  • XML gateway with multiple XML structures??

    Hi,
    I have a requirement to import data using XML gateway with different XML structures. Third party system sometimes will not provide certain tags itself if there is no data for the tag like contacts in below sample xmls. In that case we need to ignore those tags (CONTACTS in below sample). As per my understanding, we must have tag in XML though it may not have any value.
    We have 2 XMLs
    XML1 for supplier with contacts
    <SUPPLIER>
    <NAMES>
    <NAME1>XYZ </NAME1>
    <NAME2>ABC</NAME2>
    </NAMES>
    <SITE>
    <SITE1>XYZ </SITE1>
    <SITE2>ABC</SITE2>
    </SITE>
    <CONTACT>
    <CONTACT1>XYZ </CONTACT1>
    <CONTACT2>ABC</CONTACT2>
    </CONTACT>
    </SUPPLIER>
    XML2 for supplier without contacts
    XML1
    <SUPPLIER>
    <NAMES>
    <NAME1>XYZ1 </NAME1>
    <NAME2>ABC1</NAME2>
    </NAMES>
    <SITE>
    <SITE1>XYZ1 </SITE1>
    <SITE2>ABC1</SITE2>
    </SITE>
    </SUPPLIER>
    Can we upload data in both these xmls using only one generic dtd and xgm using XML gateway which will skip any missing tag.
    Thanks
    Rishi

    Hi, you can FOR XML PATH for a finer degree of control over your XML.  Use the @ symbol to create attributes.  Here's a simple example:
    DECLARE @t TABLE ( rowId INT IDENTITY PRIMARY KEY, [address] VARCHAR(50), city VARCHAR(30), floor INT, suite INT, doorType VARCHAR(20) )
    INSERT INTO @t VALUES
    ( '123 Fake St', 'Springfield', 10, 512, 'Metal' )
    SELECT
    [address] AS "Address",
    city AS City,
    [floor] AS "Location/@Floor",
    suite AS "Location/@Suite",
    doorType AS "Location/@DoorType"
    FROM @t
    FOR XML PATH ('Company'), ROOT ('Companies'), ELEMENTS;

    allen

    hi again,
    i managed to make this work and inserted the data in the XML file into my Oracle Table but i had to lessen the tags in the XML to only string values since i seem to get errors whenever i try to retrieve data with date and number values.
    does anyone have any ideas why? is there a special way of capturing date type values from xml into oracle xml gateway?
    i did some research and noticed that some uses a different approach when dealing with date types. they use something like...
        <MAT_REQ_DATE>
          <YEAR>2010</YEAR>
          <MONTH>09</MONTH>
          <DAY>06</DAY>
        </MAT_REQ_DATE>but i have no idea why. can someone explain the purpose why they need to use the format above. i'm hoping it holds the solution to my problem.
    thanks

  • Loading to database with XML Inbound Message

    We need to recibe XML invoices from suppliers using XML Gateway, we have a DTD and Message Map based on the XML structure defined by Treasury, when we process the XML using ECX_INBOUND  the Transaction Monitor shows the processing Status Success but no data is loaded to DB.
    The custum map is calling the action to insert into Database Table as a Post Process Activity on the Target database tables.
    we kindly asking for help because we have no idea what that is failing.

    I have encountered the same situation while following the example:
    Step by Step Guide to Creating an Inbound XML Gateway Transaction for Applications 11i [ID 329903.1]
    My inbound messages were received and en-queued, then they were de-queued, but now they just had "Pending" status in the transaction monitor. The post-process action does not occur at all.
    All the Workflow agent listeners are up and running. However, I do see an error in the log:
    Module: wf.plsql.WF_EVENT.GetSourceAgentGUID.Error
    Message Text: Specified source agent row does not exist in database. Setting to NULL.
    Any thoughts?

  • EBS R12 XML Gateway Integration - Supplier information sync with MAXIMO

    Hello Guys.
    Recently I'm working on a EBS R12 implementation project, as customer already has MAXIMO application, they would like keep it ask "supplier" information syncronization between Oracle EBS R12 and MAXIMO through Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3
    For EBS R12 supplier creation/update screens done, currently I found I can get supplier information out by configuring Oracle APPS adapter within Oracle ESB(Enterprise Service Bus) scenario to catch business events but may not perfect this way.
    Then we would like try XML Gateway but seems there're no "supplier" related XML Gateway fit in Oracle Apdater module browser :-(
    Appreciate if any one can guide/help........
    Finally being in Dec at the moment, Merry Christmas to everyone first !

  • Installing ACE XML Gateway with F5 BigIP

    What is the best way to set this up?

    AXG runs as reverse proxy mode, similar to generic server, there is no more concern about deployment, just treat it as reverse proxy server, it will be fine.

  • [URGENT] Get Inbound Message in EBS Using XML Gateway + SOAP

    Hi experts,
    I want to ask you about how to process the inbound message using XML Gateway and SOAP protocol.
    I have 2 EBS instances, let's called it A (source) and B (destination).
    FYI, I'm following this ebook: "Oracle E-Business Suite Development and Extensibility Handbook" in chapter 12 regarding Oracle XML Gateway.
    So I don't use BPEL PM to do this.
    I'm just using EBS with XML Gateway and Integrated SOA Gateway responsibilities.
    When I tried to send the XML from A to B using OXTA, it's success, the data can be processed in B and could store in the database.
    But when I tried to use SOAP, the XML message that has been sent from A is success, and when I check it on B (Integrated SOA Gateway -> SOA Monitor), the message is in there and I can see the SOAP request and response as well.
    SOAP request:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>

    SOAP response:

    </env:Body>
    </env:Envelope>
    But the problem is the message that has been got in B can't store into the database yet.
    I had already changed the Queue in the XML Gateway -> Define Transaction, from APPLSYS.ECX_IN_OAG_Q (this is for OXTA) to APPLSYS.WF_WS_JMS_IN.
    After I invoke the webservice and the SOAP message has been got in B, I checked APPLSYS.WF_WS_JMS_IN in database and there is 1 record, the value of USER_DATA column is:
    ((, , , , , , ((BES_EVENT_NAME, 100, oracle.apps.fnd.wf.ws.inbound.xmltx.receive, , 27), (BES_EVENT_KEY, 100, 796550960, , 27), (BES_PRIORITY, 200, , 1, 23), (BES_FROM_AGENT, 100, [email protected], , 27), (BES_TO_AGENT, 100, [email protected], , 27), (MSG_ID, 100, 1334117503435, , 27), (ECX_MESSAGE_TYPE, 100, XML, , 27), (ECX_MESSAGE_STANDARD, 100, OAG, , 27), (ECX_PARTY_SITE_ID, 100, 142, , 27), (WS_PORT_OPERATION, 100, ReceiveDocument, , 27), (ECX_TRIGGER_ID, 100, 7101, , 27), (UserId, 100, 3020, , 27), (ECX_USERNAME, 100, CONS.ADE, , 27), (ECX_TRANSACTION_SUBTYPE, 100, ORDER_DETAILS_XO, , 27), (ECX_PASSWORD, 100, CONS.ADE, , 27), (ECX_DOCUMENT_NUMBER, 100, 9285, , 27), (BES_PAYLOAD_OBJECT, 100, false, , 27), (ECX_ATTACHMENTS, 100, , , 27), (ECX_TRANSACTION_TYPE, 100, XKLB, , 27), , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , )), 0, , )
    When I tried to select APPLSYS.WF_WS_JMS_IN for the 2nd time, there is no result, which means the business event has been triggered, right?
    So in this point I still don't have any idea why the process is (likely) ended after enter the Queue and the message can't store into B's database yet.
    Do I miss any setup when changing from OXTA into SOAP protocol to send XML message?
    Any urgent help most appreciated.

  • Error in inbound processing: EDI message - XML Gateway

    Hello!
    I've setup a DELFOR transaction in B2B and modified XML Gateway settings for internal delivery channel in order to send the message to EBS, but I'm getting weird errors in b2b.log. Error repeats a few times.
    Wire message stays in Processing status, Business message is errored and an exception message is created in ip_in_queue.
    Both remote and host delivery channels have retry set to 1. Agreement was re-deployed + all B2B restared, but the problem remained.
    Could anyone help with this? What could be wrong?
    Thanks in advance.
    Kind regards,
    Wanda
    PS. I've checked all threads that might have anything to do with this, but found nothing useful.

    Hi Anuj,
    thanks for taking the time to examine the file.
    Answers to your questions:
    1. Yes, this is the 1st time for B2B, but the EBS I'm trying to connect to is up and running for approx. 2 years (it's a test instance).
    2. Patching was done by the customer's sysadmin, so I don't really have an overview on what and how he did. Result of opatch:
    Installed Patch List:
    =====================
    1) Patch 8298731 applied on Sat Jun 13 09:23:42 CEST 2009
    2) Patch 5907304 applied on Thu Jul 17 14:26:55 CEST 2008
    3. In theory the sysadmin should have run it, but how could I double-check this?
    I know he had problems while applying patch 8298731, but he said it was solved later. (Customer is using windows os, which is making a lot of troubles otherwise.)
    Regarding IDC log there is no success. I've restared B2B at least 5 times plus once the database, but still nothing. In tip.properties:
    oracle.tip.adapter.b2b.transportTrace = C:\APPS\OAS\ip\log/transport.trc
    also I tried the following values:
    C:\\APPS\\OAS\\ip\\log/transport.trc (since there is a similar entry: oracle.tip.LogDirectory = C:\\APPS\\OAS\\ip\\log)
    C:\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\APPS\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\OAS\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ip\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\log/transport.trc (this was commented before; maybe it comes from some default)
    true (I had no other idea)
    Result is the same for all the cases: b2b_idc_transport.log file is 0 bytes, but b2b_dc_transport.log has initial data+writes log when processing.
    If I remove or comment the above line from tip.properties, then no transport log files are created.
    I've updated the agreement to have B2B inbound for the internal delivery channel, re-deployed it and it worked fine -> transaction(s) appeared in IP_IN_QUEUE.
    Changing it back to XML Gateway (and re-deploying) causes all original problems.

  • Enqueue and Dequeue of BLOB messages

    Hi all,
    Does anyone have any experience with enqueue and dequeue of BLOB messages? I have PDF files that I would like to send via aq. I can enqueue them, but not dequeue them. When I attempt to deque, I get the following error:
    ORA-25236: buffer too small for user data
    Here is my enqueue code:
    set serveroutput on size 1000000
    set timing on
    /* Enqueue to msg_queue: */
    DECLARE
       Enqueue_options     DBMS_AQ.enqueue_options_t;
       Message_properties  DBMS_AQ.message_properties_t;
       Message_handle      RAW(16);
       Message             blob;
         TmpMsg              blob := empty_blob;
         cnt                 number;
    BEGIN
       DBMS_AQ.ENQUEUE(queue_name => 'JOOSTENBERGVLAKTE',
       Enqueue_options            => enqueue_options,
       Message_properties         => message_properties,
       Payload                    => tmpmsg,
       Msgid                      => message_handle);
         select t.user_data into message from test_queue t where t.msgid = message_handle;
         select blob_content into tmpmsg from tbl;
         cnt := length(message) + 1;
         dbms_lob.erase(message, cnt);
         dbms_lob.trim(message, 0);
         dbms_lob.append(message, tmpmsg);
         dbms_output.put_line('Erased ' || cnt || ' characters');
         dbms_output.put_line('Message length ' || length(message));
       COMMIT;
    END;
    /And here is my deque code:
    set serveroutput on 1000000;
    declare
         l_options         dbms_aq.dequeue_options_t;
         l_properties      dbms_aq.message_properties_t;
         l_hnd             RAW(16);
         l_msg             blob := empty_blob;
    begin
         dbms_aq.dequeue(
              queue_name => 'JOOSTENBERGVLAKTE',
              dequeue_options => l_options,
              message_properties => l_properties,
              payload => l_msg,
              msgid => l_hnd
         commit;
    exception
         when others then
              rollback;
              raise;
    end;
    /

    Hi,
    I think you have the order of enqueueing and filling your blob in the wrong order. I understand why you do it, because inserting a blob in the table you could do that in this way. But I think that you should fill and close your blob before enqueueing it.
    Try something like:
    l_attachment blob;-- := :p_attachment;
    begin
    dbms_lob.createtemporary(l_attachment, false);
    dbms_lob.write( lob_loc => l_attachment
    , amount => length(:p_attachment)
    , offset => 1
    , buffer => utl_raw.cast_to_raw(:p_attachment));
    Another small remark is that I see you doing a commit right after the enqueue-dequeue. In your enqueu example it seems to make sense because you try to fill the blob afterwards. But you could also use the enqueue-dequeue option "visibility" and set that on dbms_aq.immediate. Then you don't have to do a commit. This is handy for enqueueing messages with out affecting your transaction.

    Issue in mapping.. Source message expect with prefix ns0 in input message
    Hi All,
    I used the XSD structure which I got from partner which starts like below.
    <xsd:schema xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" targetNamespace="http://xxxx.com/DirectSales/CustomerData" xmlns:prodata="urn:schemas-progress-com:xml-prodata:0001" xmlns="">
    <xsd:element name="CustomerRequest" prodata:proDataSet="true">
    I'm receiving the messages through SOAP adapter and the message looks like below.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?><!-- Technical Routing --> <CustomerRequest xmlns='http://XXXX.com/DirectSales/CustomerData' xmlns:xsd='http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema' xmlns:SOAP-ENV='http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/' xmlns:xsi='http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance' xmlns:SE='http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/'>
    The message is failing during mapping. When i checked in message mapping, I found that the input source message is expecting with prefix "ns0" like <ns0:CustomerRequest...
    how I can solve this issue? Is there anyway I can add the prefix "ns0" before it comes to mapping step.?

    Hi Guys,
    I tried to use the below paramter.
    anonymizer.acceptNamespaces         'http://XXXX.com/DirectSales/CustomerData  ns0
    The ns0 is coming in all the tags including segments and fields. I just want ns0 to come only at the root level ie <ns0:customerReq..>
    it is coming like below...
    - <ns0:CustomerRequest xmlns:ns0="http://XXXXXX.com/DirectSales/CustomerData">
    - <ns0:ttCustomer>
      <ns0:branch-num>1424</ns0:branch-num>
      <ns0:cust-num>121</ns0:cust-num>
      <ns0:contact-code>3</ns0:contact-code>
       </ns0:ttCustomer>
      </ns0:CustomerRequest>
    I want the message to come as
    - <ns0:CustomerRequest xmlns:ns0="http://XXXXXX.com/DirectSales/CustomerData">
    - <ttCustomer>
      <branch-num>1424</branch-num>
      <cust-num>121</cust-num>
      <contact-code>3</contact-code>
       </ttCustomer>
      </CustomerRequest>
    Kindly help me with the paramater value  to be passed for anonymizer.acceptNamespaces.

    For deployment we have created Package Configuration which will have both DB2 Connection and MS SqlServer connection in the config
    We deployed the packages in different MS SqlServer by changing the connectionstring in the config for DB2 and MS SqlServer...

    ilikemicrosoft

    Hi Surendiran,
    This is because the package has been created by somebody else and the package is being deployed under sombody else's account. e.g. If you are the creator then the package is encryption set according to your account and the package setup in SQL server is
    under a different user account.
    This happens because the package protection level is set to EncryptSensitiveWithUserKey which encrypts
    sensitive information using creator's account name.
    As a solution:
    Either you have to set up the package in SQL server under your account (which some infrastructures do not allow).
    OR
    Set the package property Protection Level to "DontSaveSensitive" and add a configuration file
    to the package and set the initial values for all the variables and all the connection manager in that configuration file (which might be tedious of-course).
    OR
    The third options (which I like do) is to open the package file and delete the password encryption entries from the package. Do note that this is not supported by designer and every time you make changes to the connection managers these encryption entries come
    back.
    Hope this helps.
