API indicator about sound using by the Flash Player
Is it possible to add an API indicator which will inform about sound using by the Flash Player?
I mean situation from web browsers where you mostly has few tabs opened and don't know which one is playing the sound. It would be great if Flash Player instance could inform about playing sound. Some kind of API, dynamic HTML tag (playingsound=TRUE/FALSE) or something like this which can give an opportunity to browser to react on. The best example is ofcourse Chrome which has own implementation of Flash Player and adds small speaker icon on tab which is playing the sound.
The main reason of this thread is issue 486262 – Provide visual indicator as to which tab is causing sound from Mozilla Firefox Development but it can be global feature and helpfull for every browser and other applications using FP.Could you do me a favor and post a screenshot of this box that is appearing?

In addition to my iMac, I have a Power Mac G4 (10.4.11 Tiger) which of course is pre-Intel. I can boot up and use for about 5 minutes before the mouse freezes. I believe something is
overheating. What would that be - so I can have repairs done? The machine is the Digital Audio version, M7627LL/A and Serial Number XB******KXQ.

'Tis a common problem on old Macs.
Do as Allan says: open the door and blow out all the dust bunnies. Canned air from Wal-Mart or Radio Shack can be handy (though sort of expensive) especially for blowing through the back of the power supply. A cool Mac is a happy Mac.
Be sure your Mac can breathe. The air intake is on the bottom of the case, so be sure a deep pile rug or too many papers on your desk are not blocking the air supply.
Feel the power supply and the processor with your hand. They should be warm but not hot; if you have to move your hand away, that's too hot!
Check the fan on the power supply, and on the processor if it has one. Take a flashlight and peer in the back of the (Mac) case through the grille; make sure the fan is turning. If it's not, the power supply won't work for long.
Fans are not considered serviceable, though they will succumb to mechanics of determination. A CPU fan is easy and straightforward.
A fan replacement will not cure an already damaged power supply; the PS may already be done for. Used power supplies for a DA are hard to come by, and not especially cheap when found (c.$50). An entire working DA or Quicksilver may often be found for under $100 on eBay, and swapping in your HD is easy and simple... this might be cheaper and more expeditious than repairing an expired DA. Replacing a power supply is fairly easy, but it's a nuisance and requires a 2mm Allen head wrench in addition to the usual #2 Phillips head screwdriver.
In my experience, power supplies and CPUs are about equally likely to fail. There are a few other possibilities, but they are not nearly so common.

If your phone is locked to a particular carrier, you must contact them to request they unlock it. Once they've taken care of that and you've followed the instructions to complete the unlock process, you will be able to use the phone elsewhere.

Why in my email ( the one on my ipod5 that I use with my apple ID) when I get emails about my use of my apple ID to use a service in the from field it has my fathers name and when I click on it it shows his contact info ???? I also set up my apple ID with a new email account and also I signed up for iCloud but used the same apple I'd email and password but it gave me a I cloud email! I did activate the favorites in my email . Noticed the from field has my fathers name and contact and it is a notification about me using my apple ID to sign in to FaceTime! Something is messed up, not sure how or why???
i didn't read a lot of your 2nd paragraph, but it seems like the password is the issue, right?
do a true clean install
reboot your machine and hold down command+option+r, you should see a spinning globe - if you don't see the globe or anything that reads internet recovery, shut down and try again
at menu, chose disk utility and once there, find your HD on the left side, select the physical name and erase it as mac journaled
exit disk utlity
at menu, choose install OSX
this time, when it asks for a password just hit continue, it will let you complete without a password
you should be able to get into your laptop, now figure out what password you'll be able to use with your kb issue -
How to I get music I purchased before the iCloud was created to show up on my new authorized iPhone? Right now I can only see the Apps I recently purchased on the actual phone but older music I purchased on my CPU using the same Apple ID doesn't appear.
Does any music show in the Purchased tab on the iTunes store app on your phone ? Music can't be re-downloaded in all countries, and even where it can be it will only appear whilst it remains in the store. Do you have your purchases on your computer and/or on a backup of your puchases so that you can sync them to your phone ?

i hope someone gets this who can help me. i don't find anything helpful in the help section of icloud. i'm using my 4th generation itouch for about 3 weeks with the ical. but today when i tried to edit an event or add an event a window would pop up and say "event can't be saved" or "no calendar chosen" or something like "this event doesn't belong with this calendar" and stuff like that.

My iphone 4 is telling me I have to restore but when I plug in and connect to itunes, it freezes about 30-50 % through the process. Now I can't use my phone at all? I am waiting about 1-3 hours for this process to finish and nothing ever happens. HELP!!
Put it into DFU mode - hold the sleep/wake button and home button until the screen goes black (ignoring the slide to turn off slider). When the screen goes black release the sleep/wake button but hold the home button. Continue holding the home button for 10 seconds, then release it. The screen should stay black. Plug it into iTunes and it should come up with this message "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. It must be restored before use", that's when it is successfully in DFU mode. Now press the restore button in iTunes and it should run smoothly :)

I have the problem with my iPhone and my friends have this problem too.
My iPhone have the problem about calling and answer the call. When I use my iPhone to call I can't hear anything from my iPhone but the person that I call can answer it but when answer both of us can't hear anything and when I put my iPhone to my face the screen is still on and when I quit the phone application and open it again it will automatic call my recent call. And when my friends call me my iPhone didn't show anything even the missed call I'm only know that I missed the call from messages from carrier. Please check these problem I restored my iPhone for 4 time now in this week. I lived in Hatyai, Songkhla,Thailand and many people in my city have this problem.
Who have this problem??Apple isnt here. this is a user based forum for technical questions. The solution is to restart, reset, and restore as new which is in the manual after that get it replaced for hard ware failure. if your within your one year warranty its replaced if it is out of the warranty then it is 199$

Using "File" as the technology in ODI Designer to populate dimensions

I am currently following your blog on "ODI series 4 - Enter the Designer" and so far I have been successful with the following:
1) Connecting to the planning application
2) Performing Reverse operation
However, when I create a new model by selecting "File" as the technology, even after selecting "Standard" under the "Reverse" tab and selecting proper context (as created earlier), I am not able to see the "Files" tab as shown in the blog.
I am not able to get to the following "Insert a new DataStore and give it a name and if you click browse for file button it should open up in the correct directory and you can select the csv file." Where do I insert a new Datastore?
Without this option I am not able to move forward. I would appreciate any help with this.

First of all have you set up the physical schema for the File technology in the topology manager, adding the context and logical schema name.
Next in the designer you will need to Insert Model using the file technology and the logical schema that was created in the topology manager.
Now you can right click the Model and insert Datastore, you should be able to click the Resource Name, select the file and carry on from there.

I am using Aperture to make a photo book. I have about 400 photos in the project that I am selecting from. I want to use about 70 for the book. I am allowed to pick and choose photos until I fill 20 pages. Then when I select add page, I am allowed to select all the pictures in the project. I am not allowed to select. David, have you enabled the "Autoflow" options? There are settings behind the cogwheel, that will automatically place unused images onto new pages. If you only want to select a few images from a large project, disable these two options:
Or start your book froman album, that only contains a selection of your images, rather than from the whole project.
