Design and save workflow diagrams using flex

Hi,
I am new to flex..I need to design a workflow diagrams using flex and save the information..Could you please help me on this..
Actually what exactly i want is..
In my project we have some jobs..Job is bunch of scripts..These jobs will run in different hosts(Server).In my project we have a provision to run these jobs in order in different hosts.But not for running the scripts in perticular sequence.
For example::
We have a,b,c,d,e,f jobs..
1) these jobs run in order if we select one check box.This provision is there.Order means after a runs b should run.after b is done c should run and so on..
2) there is another senario like.
After a job runs b,c should run parallel and these 2 are done d shold run..after it is done e,f,g shold run paralell..some thing like this..This is a sequence of scripts running in different hosts..For this we nned to desing a UI like work flow diagram.
In UI we show all jobs in data grid and user will drag the jobs and keep it an area and he connects all the jobs with some lines with arrow(to identify).There he should conncects the jobs in which sequence he wants to run the jobs.
For this need to design a diagram and save the data in the UI.From UI we have to capture the sequence of jobs and store the sequence in db..
Colud you plz provide me soltion for this..I am getting how to draw a flow diagram using flex and capture the sequence from UI and store the data in DB..
Please help me out in this issue..

I am trying to create an image file with flex and want to save it only in a perticular directory ie., user should not be given any option to choose the location.Air application uses resolvePath where we can specify the path but donno how this can be achieved for a web-based application.
Is there any workaround for this?

code written with the Flex Builder 3 libraries will certainly run in Flash Player 10. However, what you need is not so much the capabilities of FP10 but the library functionalities of the Flex 4 package. And I think that Flex 4 code will only run in FP10 and not 9 (but haven't tested this as at work we have not yet been permitted to upgrade, so there is not a lot of point going for Flex 4!).

When you open a raw file it will open in Adobe camera raw. That is where you can do most of the editing. Then it will be placed inside Photoshop where you can do more if needed.
Now you can use the save for web dialog to export your image as a png or jpg to use on those sites.

I am trying to automate my work by attaching an excel file to email and send it across using powershell . But also, I want to paste the screenshot of pivot table to my email body .
One way to do it is to save only the pivot table as picture format like jpeg or png , then attach this picture to the email body .

I'm not familiar with PowerShell script, we usually use VBA script within excel.

Unable to map nested java classes and objects in actionscript using flex

Hi All..,
Im a newbie in flex and actionscripting...,I however have a task assigned in this domain and goin insane since a week now with this problem...
Problem explained:
I have a class called Unit that inturn have many other classes like for example unit has an engineer class,,,Im not able to access the attributes of engineer using the unit class...that is unit.engineer,engineerid is giving me a null...however attributes unique to unit are accessible...
Please help me out with this...,this problem has already eaten up my deadlines...

I actually have three java classes Unit , Engineer and UnitretrievalRemote....
Unit contains engineer and also UnitRetrievalRemote has methods to retrieve unit which inturn should return engineer...,However i hav actionscript classes for both engineer and unit and mapped it apporopriately using the remotetag...and also my remote object is defined with a destination...

You cant add controls to the visual tree a runtime which persist beyond the lifetime of the application. You will have to persist an indicator to your program which tells it to add the control. Adding a control is as simple as initializing
it and adding it to a parent already on the tree. Controls can be created programmatically or using the XamlReader.Load static method. You can find XamReader.Load in Windows.UI.Xaml.Markup in windows 8.1, Windows 8.1/Windows Phone unified
projects. For old windows phone ad just Silverlight I believe it is in System.Windows.Markup.

Open Tiff, rotate, resize and save as JPEG (using JAI)

I 'm having a hard time getting my arms around the JAI classes to perform
this transform. I've looked at the tutorial and api, etc and did not get
very far.
I have the code to open the TIFF, and save as a JPEG. My question is how to
go from there to do the manipulations (rotate, resize)?
If anyone knows how to do this with JAI classes, please let me know.

2. call this function before the "encoder.encode(ri);" line in your code. I pass "new InterpolationBilinear()" for the interpolation parameter of the function.
For scaling...
1) add the following lines to your code after or before you rotate the image.

Capture design from an ERWin diagram using DDL

Hi,
I am trying to follow the advise given by Antony Hall in this forum (posted June 16/2004) to capture an ERWin ERD into Designer. Antony recommends to generate the DDL in ERWin (which I did) then open Designer Editor in Designer, go to Generate --> Capture Design and choose 'Server Model' from the list.
Then as the Source of Design Capture choose 'DDL files' and browse for the file. Before this I also created the Application System to hold the Server Model that I am going to create.
All goes fine except that the 'start' button to begin the process in the 'Capture Server Model from Database' window is grayed out, so I'm stuck.
Any help to solve this problem will be much appreciated.

1. the Target Container has to have your application in it.
2. Capture Implimentations into - needs to have the Database from the designer selected into it.
3. Datbase user - needs to have a database user in it.

SAP BO Report Scheduling and Save as report using Java SDK

Hi All,
We have a java product which is integrated with SAP BO using Java SDK and we have certain java screen through which we select report prompt values and webi report gets run.
Now we want to give a functionality to save report to BO repository.
When user select certain check box from java screen a separate copy of the webi report should get saved under default folder on BO repository.
Also, we want user to choose the scheduling option from java screen only (and not the one which we use from BI Launchpad) due to certain access restriction. User does not have access to BI Launchpad. Only he can run report by selecting values through Java screen.
If i need to create a separate screen for scheduling as well as saving webi report then also i am ok with it.
P.S. i guess we need to work on Java SDK level. But could somebody please help me with the right direction?

As you are on version BI 4.0 SP5 and would be migrating to BI 4.1, the best SDKs to use would be the Restful Webservices SDKs.
You have the options to schedule a webi report with prompts as well as the save feature which you require.

Retire Oracle Designer development and continue with just using Forms 11

Hi,
The company I am working for is taking over responsibility for an Oracle Designer 10 application.
Due to Oracle Designer is an outdated development environment we are looking for potential solutions how to get rid of Designer without completely redeveloping or replacing the application.
One options we thought about is to switch off Designer and only continuing to use Oracle Forms 11.
Do anyone of you have experience in this area which you would like to share?

There are a lot of case generated (CG$) trigger and procedures used in the Forms. For us the code seems to be very complex and hard to read.
But, also some of them seems to be never used or it is just the statement "null" in it.
We thought about SQL Developer Data Modeler to capture most of the Designer stuff. But still there is the technical documentation that is not fully supported by SDDM. Did anyone migrate these Designer documentation to an other tool? If yes, to which one and how? We tried the SDDM Report functionality to capture some of the documentation, but also these reports do not contain everything that Designer could provide.
There are also "Preference Sets" used in Designer and we are wondering how to migrate these to Forms Builder. Did anyone migrate these preference sets to Forms Builder in the past and has some experiences/examples/recommendations about that? We thought about one "global" form that could contain these preference sets and then inherit them.
There are also the Functional Hirarchie Diagrams in Designer, could they migrated to Forms or SDDM in any way? Or do we need to maintain these diagrams manually in a tool like Word or Visio?
If we could capture all the things mentioned above, we would like to continue just with Oracle Forms Builder 11gR2 in combination with other tools like SQL Developer and Data Modeler and if no other solution could be find out with some manual maintained documents.
For all recommendations and tips we are very interested and we would thank you all very much!

Script to frame multiple designs in various colours and save each image.

I sell prints online, and have a template of a frame, but I would like to know if there is a script which can be used to input maybe 10 image files into the frame template, and save each file as its own jpeg.
