Deski "max # rows" defaulting to 65K when document is refreshed

I am creating a simple report in Deski which contains approx 100K rows of data. My "max # rows" is set to 1M. The report returns the data correctly. When I hit the refresh button to re-run the report, my "max # rows" changes to 65K and the report returns "partial data". Is there a way to set my "max # of rows" to stay at 1M? I can run the same report in Webi and it runs correctly giving the correct number of rows upon first run and subsequent refreshes.

I think that whoever your administrator is has to increase the max for you, this is I believe done on a universe level (i.e., he can't just increase the max rows for a single user like yourself, the increase will be made for all users of the universe your using).

'Fixing' default Zoom level when document is opened
I wanted to add this to an existing Thread, but could find no option to do so. To fix the default Zoom level, e.g. to 100%, when opening a PDF with Reader X - click 'Edit' in Menu bar>Preferences (bottom of drop-down menu list)>Page Display (in 'Categories:' box on LH side) - at top of Preferences dialog box, in 'Default Layout & Zoom' section, select required Zoom level from drop-down list. Click 'OK' at bottom-right of Preferences dialog box. NB. It appears that you are not able to set a 'Custom' Zoom level, only select an item from the drop-down list.
I would like to clarify.
You cannot do this in a browser, you must open the ReaderX application from your programs menu.
Then navigate to: Edit > Preferences -

How to set Max Rows when I search extended attribute in Admin Setting?
When I search extended attributes in Admin Setting, the default max row is 500.
Can I change the Max rows' Setting?
ThanksWe don't have a feature config for this in the core application, however you can adjust the 500 limit using a ready report. Ready Reports is a solution pack that allows you to create saved searches in the form of reports. You can get the ready reports solution pack in the latest extensibility pack.

How to get a Sum of rows, when i use the property max. rows p. page ?
Hi all.
I've got a query and get a lot of rows (amounts) back.
Now i want to have max. 21 rows per page.
So, first i used the property "max. rows p. page"=21.
But i want a have Sum-Field p.page too, which shows the sum of the amount p. page at a >fixed place (bottom, left) at the page.
this didnt work well....
Because when i have 30 rows, then the sum will shown at the second page (because the sum-field its after the repeating frame).
...Now i forgot the property and placed a function and two placeholder in the query like this:
Function:
:cp_row:=:cp_row +1;
if (mod (:cp_row,21)=0)) then :CP_pagenr:=:CP_pagenr+1;
Placeholders: cp_row, cp_pagenr
Now i want to use :CP_pagenr to change the group - but Report Builder says: I cant... because placeholder are not allowed to change a group.
So.. perhaps anyone can give me a hint how i can do this ?
Thanks a lot...hello.
that sound to me as you wanted a running total. check out the metalink knwoledge base and search for running total and you will find a note on how to do that.

Seperate Document Row with same account when post GL
Hello everyone
How I can seperate Document Row with same account when post GL
because If I post dcoument that have many rows but same account and difference detail. It will sum amount for same account in JE
and I found that will seperate if it has diference project code but it's not enough for me.
How I can config SAP B1 to seperate Doc row when post to JE if it has difference detail (as userfield or standard filed)
Sorry for my poor english
Thank,SeangHello Suthee,
Sorry to tell you, it is not possible to do so in current B1 without addon development.
There are 2 alternative.
1.Consulting Workaround:
Seperate the Item into 2 items, the account into 2 sub accounts.e.g.
Item A => Item A01 and A02
G/L Account 1001 => Sub Account 100101 and 100102
2.AddOn development to seperate the JE just after it is created document
You can update to JE to seperate just after JE are created by docuemnts.
Just Listen FormDataAdd Event.
Sample Code:
Private Sub FormDataEventHandler( _
ByRef BusinessObjectInfo As SAPbouiCOM.BusinessObjectInfo, _
ByRef BubbleEvent As Boolean) Handles oApp.FormDataEvent
'I just listen 133 - AR invoice here,
'You may add the target documents
'Before action = true, start the transation
If BusinessObjectInfo.FormTypeEx = "133" _
And (BusinessObjectInfo.EventType = SAPbouiCOM.BoEventTypes.et_FORM_DATA_ADD _
Or BusinessObjectInfo.EventType = SAPbouiCOM.BoEventTypes.et_FORM_DATA_UPDATE) _
And BusinessObjectInfo.BeforeAction = True Then
oCompany.StartTransaction()
End If
'Before Action = false,
'Update the JE in document
'Succeed, commit, otherwise rollback
If BusinessObjectInfo.FormTypeEx = "133" _
And (BusinessObjectInfo.EventType = SAPbouiCOM.BoEventTypes.et_FORM_DATA_ADD _
Or BusinessObjectInfo.EventType = SAPbouiCOM.BoEventTypes.et_FORM_DATA_UPDATE) Then
If BusinessObjectInfo.BeforeAction = False And BusinessObjectInfo.ActionSuccess Then
Dim xmlDoc As System.Xml.XmlDocument = New System.Xml.XmlDocument
xmlDoc.LoadXml(BusinessObjectInfo.ObjectKey)
Dim objectKey As String
objectKey = xmlDoc.SelectSingleNode("//DocEntry").InnerText
Dim oDocument As SAPbobsCOM.Documents = Nothing
oDocument = oCompany.GetBusinessObject(SAPbobsCOM.BoObjectTypes.oPurchaseOrders)
If oDocument.GetByKey(CInt(objectKey)) Then
Dim oJE As SAPbobsCOM.JournalEntries
oJE = oCompany.GetBusinessObject(SAPbobsCOM.BoObjectTypes.oJournalEntries)
If oJE.GetByKey(oDocument.TransNum) Then
'*Add you code to Update oJE lines here*
lRetCode = oJE.Update
If 0 <> lRetCode Then
oApp.MessageBox("Failed to update JE")
'roll back the whole transaction, including the document
oCompany.EndTransaction(SAPbobsCOM.BoWfTransOpt.wf_RollBack)
Exit Sub
Else
'Commit the transaction
oCompany.EndTransaction(SAPbobsCOM.BoWfTransOpt.wf_Commit)
End If
End If
End If
End If
End If
End Sub
Hope it helps. Thanks.

How do I set the default window size when I open a Numbers 3.0 document
How do I set the default window size when I open a Numbers 3.0 document?
When I open an existing document it always open too small, I resize it but next time I open it it's small again! Please help! I used to be able to resize them then they stayed that size until I resized it no matter how many times I opened and closed it before upgrading to 3.0!!!!This document can help you set the print settings for any type of printing. Not just for photos as the title suggests. You should not have to keep setting it every time.

How do I set "US letter" as my default paper size when I open a document?
I'm using Adobe Reader 9.5.5 and Mac OS 10.7.5.
Every time I open a PDF that's been emailed to me, Reader thinks it's US legal size, 11" x 14". Printing the document becomes a mess, unless I first remember to go File > Page setup > Paper size > US letter.
I'd like to be able to set US letter as my default paper size when I open a document. Can anyone tell me how to do that?
Thanks in advance,I am replying to my own question. I learned that if you right click when trying to open a PDF, you are asked which app you wish to use to open the file. If you click on Get Info, instead of choosing an app, you get this great information box which gives you the option to set Adobe Reader as your default app for PDF files. It even allows you to change all the pdf files you already have to Adobe Files. Yay.

Hyp FR Error: 5200 : Error executing query. Exceed max row number 100000
Hi,
I am getting the error
5200 : Error executing query. Exceed max row number 100000
when I run the report on Financial Reporting. It gives the same error when run on Workspace.
Have you guys encountered this error before? What are the best ways to tackle it? Help is much appreciated guys.

Edit 1 - I tried to simplify the parameters but I still get the same error making me suspect that the issue is not the 100000 row issue.

HTML DB SQL Workshop Output to csv Max Row Count
I am using HTML DB 1.6 with Oracle 10g 10.1.0.3.0 On SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 9.
When I execute a query in SQL Workshop SQL Command Processor that returns a result set of greater than 5,000 rows and click the Output to Excel link, it exports NO MORE than 5,000 records.
In working through Metalink with Oracle Tech Support, apparently for Reports in HTML DB there is a way to change the Max Row Count default limitation of 5,0000. However, this isn't in a report. It is simply from the query results page in SQL Workshop. Tech Support has been unable to idnetify ANYWHERE where I can change the default Max Row Count for simply outputting the results to csv format through the Output to Excel link.
I am desperately looking for where I can globally change this default that will allow me to use SQL Worskshop to output greater than 5,000 records from within SQL Workshop.
Thanks for you help!
Mikehi mikes--
that sqlworkshop 5k row limit issue was corrected in htmldb 2.0. in 1.6.x, i'm pretty sure you're always limited to 5k no matter what you select for that Max Rows attribute.

Pagination disappears after setting 'max row count'
I have a report with app. 4500 records (with the default of 15 lines per page) and a pagination scheme of 'Row Ranges 1-15 16-30 in select list (with pagination)'.
When running the report, all is working fine and i get the information in the select list '.. of more than 500'.
Then i inserted some values in the 'max row count'-field:
a value of 2000: it's working as expected
a value of 4000 (or more): the pagination disappears and won't be desplayed :-(
Any ideas, what i have done wrong?
Thanks
RainerHi
This problem - select list dissapearing when > 32k still persists in Version 3.
A neat workaround is to use a page item to set the number of rows disaplyed.
Where there is a large number of rows in the table and the max rows is also large, simply set the page item value for the number of rows to a larger value say 200 - then - if the select list now becomes less than 32K the select list will be shown.
It's a matter of balancing the number of rows shown on the page with the total number of rows in the table / max rows combination.
It's not perfect but it works.
Hope this helps.

Open default program of a document
I watched some videos in Adobe MAX and am excited about the new features to be released in AIR 2. AIR 2 will allow a file to be opened by the system default program (e.g. .doc by MS Word), but - to my understanding - AIR 2 doesn't fire an event when the user closes this document. I can give a use case where such an event is very useful:
say I have an AIR program which can synchronize my local files (say .doc) with a remote server. The user opens the file with MS Word through AIR, and then edits it, and close the document (may or may not quit MS Word). Then the AIR program will upload the new version to remote server. But if AIR doesn't know when the document is closed, when should it start uploading?
NativeProcess class seems to dispatch EXIT event. Does File has a property like 'defaultApplicationPath' which let developer know where is the default application? Also, does NativeProcess file event such as documentClose (application not exit but document closed)?Hi,
Check this SAP note (845003) which may help you.
When printing the Profit & Loss Statement in Business One APA versions, the system will use the templates defined for the Comparison Profit & Loss Statement as the printing template.
Other terms
SAP Business One, APA, Profit, Loss, Statement, P/L, Printing, Template, Document
Reason and Prerequisites
That is a system design for Business One APA versions. The purpose of this design is to support the additional fields required for the legal P/L Statement for the APA countries, especially for China.
Solution
If the customer want to make any customization on the printing tempalte of P/L Statements, please do it on the printing templates of the Comparison P/L Statements, and then set the newly created template as the default printing template.
One consequence of this design is that in Business One APA versions, the P/L Statement and the Comparison P/L Statement will share the same default template. One workaround for this is to define 2 users and assign different default template for those 2 users. One of the user could be used to print the P/L Statement, and the other could be used to print the Comparison P/L Statement, which has a different default template.
When doing this kind of customization, please do NOT overwrite the attributes of any existing fields within the system template. If you don't need those fields to be displayed, please set those fields to invisible, so that they won't be displayed when the report is being printed. It is NOT recommended to delete any of those fields, or add any kind of customerization on those fields. The reason is that some of those fields might be overwriten by the Business One application, at the time the printing report is running. The application will find those fields out, by their ids, and replace their value with the predefined values of the P/L Statement. -
Report portlets displays 10 rows whatever max row setting is applied
I have several reports in my 9.0.2.6 portal where the portlet settings are set to show max 20 rows pr page. When placed on a page these default to showing only 10 rows and then displays the 'next' button. Is there som bug or setting that I should know about?
This happens only when a page parameter is applied to the portlet.

APEX 3.1 Report pagination style limited by max row count
I am working on an application using APEX 3.1 and am having trouble keeping the report pagination style as a select list when the max row count for the report is greater than 8000. If I use the select list as the pagination method, the first time that the first page is viewed is fine however all subsequent pages begin to use the "next" and "previous" link method of pagination. This is only occurring when the max row count is higher than 8000 and a select list is used for pagination.
My question is: is the style of pagination, in Oracle APEX (3.1), limited by the potential number of rows returned for the report? If not, is this a bug with my version of Oracle APEX?The source of my problem was that the report referenced a page item for the number of rows. That select list referenced a named List of Values (LOV) that limited the number of rows that the report could display. I removed that reference and my problem disappeared!

Writing large xmltype data to UTL_FILE and setting max row per file
Hey Gurus,
I am trying to create a procedure (in Oracle 9i) that writes out xml data I have created into several xml files (file would probably be to large for one xml file output...I am doing this for 270,000 rows of data), setting the max rows to 1000 rows per file. I know one would have to create a looping contsruct to do this but I am just not adept enough in PL/SQL to figure it out at the moment.
So essentially their would be some sort of loop construct and substr process that creates a file after looping through 1000 rows and then continues the count and creates a another file until all 270 xml files are created. Simple enough right...lol? Well I've tried doing this and haven't gotten anywhere. My pl/sql coding skills are too elementary I am guessing. I've only been doing this for about three months and could use the assistance of a more experienced person here.
Here are the particulars...
This is the xmltype view code that I used to create the xml data.
