Detect duplicates in ITAB

Hi All,
I want to detect all duplicates in itab and then display entries with duplicates. My itab only has one columns. How do I do this?
I do not wish to delete the duplicates. Thanks.
Tyken

Hi
Just execute the following code to display the duplicate records
data: begin of itab occurs 0,
        name(10) type c,
        address(30) type c,
      end of itab.
data: v_rec like itab-name.
itab-name = 'name'.
itab-address = 'address'.
append itab.
itab-name = 'name1'.
itab-address = 'address1'.
append itab.
itab-name = 'name2'.
itab-address = 'address2'.
append itab.
itab-name = 'name3'.
itab-address = 'address3'.
append itab.
itab-name = 'name2'.
itab-address = 'address3'.
append itab.
itab-name = 'name3'.
itab-address = 'address5'.
append itab.
write:/ 'itab contents'.
loop at itab.
    write:/ itab-name,itab-address.
endloop.
uline.
skip.
sort itab.
loop at itab.
on change of itab-name.
v_rec = itab-name.
if v_rec <> ' '.
      delete itab.
  endif.
endon.
endloop.
write:/ 'duplicate contents in itab'.
loop at itab.
  write:/ itab-name,itab-address.
endloop.

  • Is there auto detect duplicates to prevent copying in iTunes 11?

This seemed to be a legacy issue. So I'm wondering if the latest iTunes resolved this problem.
It is fine to be able to detect and delete but the point is it shouldn't happen in the first place. So I'm hoping the new iTunes is able to detect the latest and keep only the latest copy. Avoiding duplicates should be built into the system.
Also, it could be smarter when it says 'Delect Exact Duplicates' that it does exactly just that ie list the duplicates copies, not include the original or latest copy. That way you can select all the 'duplicates' and delete at one go.
I hope someone from Apple gets to read this. Thanks.
P/S: btw, 'Detect Exact Duplicates' will only show up AFTER you search for it in Help. Otherwise, only 'Detect Duplicates' shows. I think its a glich.

Apple don't read these forums for feedback, that should go to iTunes Feedback.
Not creating duplicates in the first place is mainly a matter of organized workflow. If, before you rip one of your CDs, you check to see if you already have the album, then you can avoid creating duplicates. In fact iTunes will generally notice if you try to import the same CD twice. If, however, you import files ripped with another package into your library, and then decide to rip the CD with iTunes it probably won't make the connection.
I've written recently in this post on why you might end up with duplicates and how you might remove them manually, though you probably already know. I've also written a Windows script to automate the removal of two classes of duplicates. As a Mac user you could take advantage of the efforts made by Doug Adams who has scripts for most organizing iTunes needs and some software for duplicates in particular.

  • How to detect duplicate for custom object 1

    Hi expert,
are there any fields in custom object can detect duplicates If These Fields Match?
we thought it should be "Name" but it's not.
    Thanks, sab.

Sab, field validation is not going to check for uniqueness of the custom object name. However, you could use field validation to add a value to the custom object name which could make it unique (such as name + rowID or name + created timestamp).

  • SAP BPC 7.5 SP 7 - Master Data Load Detected duplicate member ID

Hi Gurus I have  a requirement.
I am loading the Master data for Cost Center - initially while loading master data i didnot load hierarchy. Now I started to load the Master data with Hierarchy but when ever I tried vailidate the transformation file then it is throwing the "Detected Duplicate member "
Let me show you the transformation - what I wrote there
    *OPTIONS
    FORMAT = DELIMITED
    HEADER = YES
    DELIMITER = TAB
    *MAPPING
    ID=ID
    *CONVERSION
    ID=Master_Data_Conversion.xls
Conversion Master_Data_Conversion.xls has the following code this is to remove the spaces EXTERNALINTERNAL
    *js:%external%.toString().replace(/\s+/g,"")
Let me show you how I have selected the Data type - Master Data /text from NW BW Infoobject
    Selection of infoobject - 0costcenter
    Format - External Format
Set Selection - first Tab - Attribute I only wante the Control Area which is 1000 so - Control Area = 1000
2nd Tab - Hierarchy - Import Text node - yes Hierarchy node - xxxxxxx  Version - Empty Member ID - first member    Level - Blank
    3rd Tab Language - English
4th Tab Attribute list - Controling Area only is selected
Note: Let me tell you that when I am loading the Master data with out Hierarchy inthe Set Selection the loading is succesful but when I am doing it with the Hierarchy as mentioned in the 2nd Tab I am getting the error as following.
Master data (dealt by table level) has errors
    Detected duplicate member ID '201100'
Also, the Master data for Cost Center in the BW is a time dependent so it is having Valid to and Valid from fields which is not there to be delt in the BPC.
    Please Help

@Vinay let me tell you when the BW is having the master data which is time dependent then it will have this Duplicate member as we will have duplicate cost center names which are compounded with the Time, so BW will not show an error as there is compounding but BPC do not have that feature.
The was raised with SAP and they resolved this issue.
SAP Note 1641529 - Loading Master Data gets duplicate error in special case
When running Data Manager Package 'Loading Master Data from BW
InfoObjects', 'Duplicate Members are found' error may be reported in below
    case:
o In the source BW InfoObjects, there are master data that have
different lengths, and their IDs are all numeric characters. And
o If the members are sorted by their lengths first and then IDs gets
a different order compared with the one if they are sorted directly
by their IDs. Take member '122' and '1101' for instance. In BW,
they are sorted as [122, 1102]; if they are sorted directly by the
IDs, the order is [1102, 122]. And
o when running the package, the members are in both 'Attribute' and
'Hierarchy' selection, and the option Filter members by Attributes
    or Hierarchies is used. And
o Select 'External Format' when running the package.
    Other terms
DM, Loading Master Data from BW, Duplicate Members
    Reason and Prerequisites
    It's a program error.
    Solution
Please apply this note or upgrade to SP11.
I hope this will help you else let me know the entire requirements so that I can provide some kind of assistance.
Do check how the master data in ur BW is then how the hierarchy nodes and costcenter nodes are there?
    Good Luck

  • Detected duplicate HTTP-based FlexSessions in CF10 with Air Mobile (3.4) IOS and Android apps

We're getting the "duplicate session" error using Flash Remoting from Air 3.4 Mobile Apps ( IOS and Android ) with Coldfusion 10 Standard.
    faultCode:Server.Processing.DuplicateSessionDetected faultString:'Detected duplicate HTTP-based FlexSessions,
generally due to the remote host disabling session cookies.
Session cookies must be enabled to manage the client connection correctly.' faultDetail:'null'
Have read most of the docs about this error -all to do with LCDS
    Notes:
    Not using LCDS,
No Remote Calls from loaded Sub-Apps,
No Errors from the Flex Web App which is pretty  much identical and calls the same cfcs.
The error does not happen all the time and is hard to reproduce - say 5% of app sessions at a guess.
Could it be a two first time remote calls hitting the server together before a session is set up?
Our remoteObjects are in two places 1) Main Application.mxml and within a class compiled into the main app - can't see how this would be an issue.
I enabled session management for the CFCs in Application.cfc but still occurs. Is this neccessary - it's not in any docs?
Could this be something to do with the app not being shut down - as is typical with mobile users? When they resume use after a day or two surely a new session will be created?
    Please advise thank you.

For our profect I think this issue was caused as follows:
Believing that remoting was full asynchronous we fired a 2 or 3 remote calls to the server at the same time ( within the same function ) - usually when the users goes to a new section of the app.
This seemed to trigger the duplicate http session error since according to http://blogs.adobe.com/lin/2011/05/duplication-session-error.html  two remote calls arriving before a session is created will cause 2 sessions to be created.
Our current solution ( too early to say it works ) is to daisy chain the multiple calls together .
Also there seemed to be an issue where mobile apps that never quit ( thanks Apple! )  caused the error when activated after a few hours.
I guess the session expires on the server and the error above occurs on activation.
So the mobile apps now ping the server with a remote call when activated after sleeping for more than one hour.
All duplicate http errors are silently caught and reported.
Fingers crossed we won't get any more!

  • NLB detected duplicate cluster subnets - Exchange Server 2010 SP3 CU5

    Hi All,
I will explain the environment first,  there are:
    -Two HUB/CAS servers (WNLB)
        --HUBCAS01
        --HUBCAS02
    -Two Mailbox servers (Failover Clustering)
        --MAILBOX01
        --MAILBOX02
*All servers are updated to Exchange Server 2010 SP3 CU5.
The issue is that from recently outlook users are disconnecting from the outlook and cannot be joined to the exchange server unless if I drainstop or stop HUBCAS01. Furthermore, if I start HUBCAS01 from WNLB it will work fine for sometimes yet it will randomly
disconnects outlook users from exchange again (For ex: next day morning).
So far when I search deeper in Event log, there is an warning event log:
Event ID 18: NLB cluster [192.168.*.*]: NLB detected duplicate cluster subnets. This may be due to network partitioning, which prevents NLB heartbeats of one or more hosts from reaching the other cluster hosts. Although NLB operations have resumed properly,
please investigate the cause of the network partitioning.
Now I hope you will provide this link to resolve this issue - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc726421(v=ws.10).aspx
But I don't think that this will resolve this issue, as i have tried this for 3 times, yet no luck. Please help me to resolve this issue permanently. Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
The issue is mainly related to the HUBCAS01 server. To deep investigate the issue, you need to take RPCTrace from the Outlook client and see the details. Even more, it’s better
to take a Network trace to check the details of the network.

  • How good is the Photo Downloader at detecting duplicates?

I have only tested the Photo Downloader (with version 1.2) once, and I got a couple of hundred duplicates on my disc. I had images on the card that I had downloaded before using other software, but images that was already in the LR library.
So, I'm not sure that I dare to use the Downloader again as long as my card has still old photos on it.
What are other users experience with this program?
Other programs I have used for downloading from the card uses the Archive-attribute so it can know for sure if a picture has been downloaded or not, so why does not LR do that? I'm not sure if Mac has the same file attribute, or if all camera manufactures uses it, but if they do, then it could be a good idea for LR to do the same.

I suspect no better than it is at detecting duplicates by regular import. Here is a quote from an earlier post of mine on the subject of LR's inconsistency in detecting duplicates. That was with 1.2. I have not fron a formal test on 1.3 yet, but informally it seems to catch more than 1.2--but that is just an impression. For sure, it is not getting them all by any means. That I know from importing in 1.3 and seeing identical files in the import. By identical I mean everything, name, ext, size, dates, crc,everthing--abjectly identical. I will run some tests when I get an hour or two. By the way does anyone know for sure just what attribues of an image LR uses to determine identicality. Given the use of the word 'suspected' duplicates, I suspect that it isn't a very rigorous test. Something is either a duplicate or not!
Here is what I posted earlier based on testing:
"I have recently undertaken to run a serious test of LR 1.2--as I did with previous versions-- to see if it was at the stage of development where it would improve my workflow over my present applications. Most everything is much better than before, but I have discovered a killer bug.
I work in a group of four other photographers. We are constantly mixing and matching images from our various DBs/shots for client presentations, frequently mixing shots already in a DB with some that are recent and not yet DBed In the end, of course, we want one DB that incorporates all our collective images. This arrangement lends itself to imports that often will contain duplicates of given, uniquely identified, images.
I discovered that even with the box checked to not import duplicates, that LR is hopelessly inconsistent in stopping the import of absolutely identical files with absolutely identical names, extensions, metadata, etc.
As a test, I imported a set of 50 images--various formats, etc--all of which were in LR already. I ran the test three times. The first test resulted in LR identifying 3 dups, the second test 17 dups, and the third 13 dups. I also tried this test using images that were in two separate LR catalogues--identical in every respect. LR did not identify even one duplicate image of the fifty in this case.
Is this a known bug? Anyone have any suggestions? TIA "

  • Does any one hav a program that will detect duplicate photos on iophoto

  • Is there a way to detect duplicates?

I have several Albums that are very large. Is there an easy way to detect duplicates within the same Album in iPhoto?
    Thanks

Here's my updated review of duplicate finder apps:
These applications will identify and help remove duplicate photos from an iPhoto Library:
    iPhoto Library Manager - $29.95
Duplicate Annihilator - $7.95 - only app able to detect duplicate thumbnail files or faces files when an iPhoto 8 or earlier library has been imported into another.
PhotoSweeper - $9.95 - This app can search by comparing the image's bitmaps or histograms thus finding duplicates with different file names and dates.
DeCloner - $19.95 - can find duplicates in iPhoto Libraries or in folders on the HD.
DupliFinder - $7 - shows which events the photos are in.
iPhoto AppleScript to Remove Duplicates - Free
PhotoDedupo - $4.99 (App Store) -  this app has a "similar" search feature which is like PhotoSweeper's bitmap comparison.  It found all duplicates
Duplicate Cleaner for iPhoto - free - was able to recognize the duplicated HDR and normal files from an iPhone shooting in HDR
Some users have reported that PhotoSweeper did the best in finding all of the dups in their library: iphoto has duplicated many photos, how...: Apple Support Communities.
If you have an iPhone and have it set to keep the normal photo when shooting HDR photos the two image files that are created will be duplicates in a manner of speaking (same image) but there are only twp apps that detected the iPhone HDR and normal photos as being duplicates:  PhotoSweeper and Duplicate Cleaner for iPhoto.  None of the other apps detected those two files as being duplicates as they look for file name as well as other attributes and the two files from the iPhone have different file names.
iPLM, however, is the best all around iPhoto utility as it can do so much more than just find duplicates.  IMO it's a must have tool if using iPhoto.

  • NLB Error: NLB detected duplicate cluster subnets. This may be due to network partitioning

We're running two servers in a datacentre, call them WEB1 and WEB2 in unicast NLB mode.
Each server has a public NIC, the NLB adapter and a private NIC for communication between hosts. We have a VLAN between the public NICs so the cluster IP is routed to both hosts. I can access the Virtual IP just fine, and hosts can talk on the separate private
network. The public NICs are connected up to a Cisco switch with a VLAN between two ports, one for WEB1 and one for WEB2 (all done by the datacentre).
Intermittently on WEB2, I lose connection from my local machine and the Event Logs show multiple:
NLB cluster []: NLB detected duplicate cluster subnets. This may
be due to network partitioning, which prevents NLB heartbeats of one or more
hosts from reaching the other cluster hosts. Although NLB operations have
resumed properly, please investigate the cause of the network partitioning.
WEB1 works just fine and doesn't suffer from these issues. Removing WEB2 from the NLB cluster leaves everything working fine (with just the single WEB1 left).
Perhaps unrelated but for WEB1 & WEB2, the interface metric for the private NIC is 10 while the public NIC is 20 (although 'route print' shows much higher values around 270-300). [seems this is correct according to http://blogs.technet.com/b/tristank/archive/2004/06/08/150734.aspx]
Really hoping someone can help as NLB seems a great solution!
    Thanks ever so much

Hi, no luck with this I'm afraid. Both NICs are configured the same, not sure what you mean by the NIC binding order. Cabling is definitely fine.
We're just sticking it out. As this is running on a live set up I had to get things working so put the NLB cluster into Single Host mode with WEB1 as the default host. This meant traffic worked fine while I still had frequent disconnections to WEB2.
After about 24 hours, the error stopped. When anything changes the cluster, ie one of the servers is restarted for updates, it does this error for about 24 hours then settles down.
I have no idea if the Single Host mode is helping this or not - perhaps it just takes 24 hours for it to settle down. Would it also settle down if I wasn't in Single Host mode? No idea and won't try it as its a live set up. Is NLB working properly? Most
probably not! However if WEB1 dies, WEB2 does take over connections all itself and works fine till WEB1 comes back online (requests go back to WEB1) and WEB2 starts to disconnect for the roughly 24 hours.
Anyone from the Microsoft Networking team able to shed any light on this? Please?

  • Can numbers detect duplicate date information as I enter it?

Hi. I need to take an inventory of over 4,000 film can that we have in our vault. First I need to go though get basic information from each can. I created a simple spreadsheet in numbers to track this information. We are tracking these cans by the date on the side of each one. Most of these dates are unique, but there may be some duplicates. What I need is some way for the spreadsheet to alert me to the fact that I am entering a duplicate date when I enter it so I can add an additional indicator to the date. This way I won't have two cans with the same title. Is there a way for Numbers to detect duplicate information as I enter it?
    -Karin

When the table contain numerous rows, it may be useful to use a footer row so that the footer of the column containing the flag to duplicates display the index of the higher flagged row.
In C2, the formula is :
    =IF(COUNTIF(B,B2)>1, ROW(),999999)
Apply fill down to fill every 'standard' cells of column C.
Apply a conditional format to this column : set ink to white if the value is 999999
At last, in the footer cell (C14) insert the formula :
    =SMALL(C,1)
So you will automatically know which is the existing row which we are duplicating.
I expanded this feature to display in the footer the contents of this duplicated row so there will not be necessary to move in the table to know this contents.
In A14, the formula is :
    =IF($C14>0,OFFSET(A$1,$C14-1,0),"")
and apply fill to the right to get this formula in B14 :
    =IF($C14>0,OFFSET(B$1,$C14-1,0),"")

  • How do I detect duplicates?

I just installed PSE 10 and it says I can detect Duplicates, I need this bad, but can't figure out how to do it. Help

    Hi Kesam,
You can select the set of images that you want to apply duplicate photo search on, right clicking on the selection and clicking Stack >> Automatically suggest photo stacks.
And as watchar suggested, without making any selection (to perform duplicate photosearch on entire catalog), click the searchbox arrow as shown here-

  • Can Iphoto detect duplicate photos in a library?

    Team
Been using Iphoto as my primary photo viewing option, containing photos going back some 10 +years. I am alos running time machine for the back up option. In that time I have had a  library crash which resulted in the libraries being rebuilt. I am also now taking more photos on my Iphone and then improting them into the library. I have two issues:
    1) What ever the cause I when I view the library structure I have countless rols which I would prefer to organise into a more structured and complete album. I understand under Albums you can create folders and sub albums for viewing what you want but the I photo viewing screen defaults to the library which in my case defaults to countless events or countless rolls.
    2) What ever the cause I have ended up with many of my earlier albums / rolls containing multiple copies of the same photo - up to 5 and 6 in some instances. I am reluctant to go through an delete them one by one as I am concerned that without checking the individual photo size I may end up deleting the photo and leaving a thumbnail.
    3) is it possible for Iphoto to detect duplicated photos (like I tunes can do with music) so that these can be viewed in a separate screen and the duplicates viewed and deleted.?
    Cheers in advance.

    TD
Mate hope your on a retainer, Duplicate Annihilator, cheap, functional and seems to be doing its things.
    Thanks.
Is it possible to ge the Library to only show events from like the last month?? rather than showing everthing - I have to scroll through pages of events / photo rolls to get to the ones I am using at the moment.
    Cheers again
