Determining HR Administrator

Hi All.
Our client have a requirement to modify responsibility rule 60100010 (HR Administrator). The requirement is to have some HR Administrator in certain region. The criteria of certain region is not standard. Depends on how many employee underneath on certain org.unit.
I don't think responsibility rule can handle this requirement. The alternative solution that I can think is by create relationship between relationship (RY) against Organisation unit. I'm not so sure whether this is the easiest solution.
Any body has any idea how to use Agent Determination:Organization Model or Agent Determination:Organizational Data ?

Hi Raja,
I am implelenting HR administrator in the portal. wCan you please tell me what are the authorization which
I should give the user in the backend ECC 6.0 system to make him a HR administrator.
SAP_ASR_ADMINISTRATOR standard role is not available in ECC 6.0.
In the portal side when I click the start process Iview i am getting Web dynpro exception like
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.exceptions.TypeNotFoundException: type com.sap.pa.asr.procst.model.procst.types.Asr_Withoutee could not be loaded: com.sap.dictionary.runtime.DdException: Type com.sap.pa.asr.procst.model.procst.types.Asr_Withoutee does not exist
If you have any suggestions please do let me know.
Thanks in Advance

  • No logical system group can be determined for administrative unit &1

    Dear GTS gurus,
In Risk Management module when we execute the report "Analyze LTVD Request Relevance of Products" (/SAPSLL/PRE_VD_OPT_ANL_PROD) we sometimes get the error message:
No logical system group can be determined for administrative unit *******
Now I did some googling and found the following website: consolut - /SAPSLL/PRE_VDEC139 - No logical system group can be determined for administrative unit &1 - /SAPSLL/…
It says that in customizing item "Define Administrative Unit Attributes" some assignment is missing but I was not able to figure out what exactly. I compared it with Administrative Units which did not not issue any error messages and customizing looks good to me.
Can you share your insights on this topic?
    Best Regards
    Greg

    Hello Gregor,
Under the Admin Unit attributes, you must have a Plant Group defined.
Is that Plant Group assigned to a logical system ?
(IMG: General Settings -> Organizational Structure -> Define Cross-Plant evaluation (or Define Plant-based BOM evaluation)
By the way, the site you have found is one of the many sites out there that lists the messages available in a SAP system. The same information is available within GTS (Transaction SE91).
    Regards.

Just in case if the connection gets off, then If I want to get into ESB again I have to clear the Java cache completly(Java cache is not recognizing)
I came across all the links in sdn but not solves my issue. Kindly share exact to do things - to fix the issue.
    Many thanks.
    Swarnaalu.

    Hi Swarna,
There might be some problem with javawebstart you can try uninstalling java and try to reinstall so that it will work.
    OR
I am not sure in PI &.3 but in earlier versions you can do the re-initialization which works.
    follow the below:
    1. Login to your XI/PI server
    2. Go to Exchange Infrastructure Tools main web screen. You will see
    Tools list and other options.
    http://SERVER:PORT/rep/start/index.jsp
    3. On the Upper right part of your screen you will see Tools
Administration Client Installation and Guidelines Documentation.
    Click Administration
    4. Login with user.
    5. On the Exhange Infrastructure Administration , make sure you are in
the Correct tab. (Repository Directory Runtime). The tab will
determine the administration configuration that your will perform
5.1 When this problem occur with Integration Repository > make sure you
are in Integration REPOSITORY TAB. Proceed with step 6. Skip step 5.2.
5.2 When this problem occur with Integration Directory > make sure you
are in Integration DIRECTORY TAB. Proceed with step 6.
    6. Click on Java web start administration.
    7. Click on Re-initialization and force-signing. This will
re-authenticate all new JAR files deployed. This will also let the new
JAR files adapt to the current certificate deployed.
This function will cause the above re-collection and additionally a
re-signing of ALL resources with a dummy certificate. The original SAP
signatures of the jarfiles will be lost. To get back the original SAP signatures
the application has to be deployed again.
    8. A Java(TM) Web start Application reset text will appear.
    9. Wait for 5 to 15 minutes for re-initialization to complete
    10. Start your "Integration Repository' or "Integration Directory"
    again. It should work now.
    This will solve the issue

  • Can I set Approver as Requester?

    Hi,
we're on srm 2.0 (soon srm 5.0) with ebp 3.5.
for a special task we need to have the approver of a shopping cart to be set as the requester, so that in the backend we have the approver in the purchaseorder or reservation.
where can i change the normal settings?
we have certain badis runnning. esp bbp_sc_change - but during approval this one is not affected. i am not sure about the others - I guess none of them is being called during approval - at least we never had to change stuff because of approval.
    there are two more BADIs:
    Authorization to Change During Approval
    Determine Approver (Administrator)
the description of which does not seem to fit my special need.
these are the BADIs we have implemented - may be someone might guess, where we can swap approver and requester...
BBP_APPEND_ITEM                Exit while creating a shopping basket item
BBP_CATALOG_TRANSFER           Exit for transferring catalog shopping cart
BBP_CREATE_REQ_BACK            Exit while creating a purchase requisition in backend system
BBP_CREATE_RES_BACK            Exit while creating a reservation in backend system

BBP_PGRP_FIND                  Shopping Cart: Determine Responsible Purchasing Group(s)
BBP_TARGET_OBJECTS             Exit while determining target objects in backend
a great help might also be a hint about which abap program is being called, when the approver approves - maybe there i can find a way to catch the approver and set him as the requester...

you dont need a mac but i know you can do it within garrageband (free on all macs), you could proably just use a file converter program of some sort to convert to the correct format within windows (have never tried doing it in windows so cannot comment to much on this subject)

  • ADDRESS ENDADDRESS IN SAPSCRIPT

    Hi,
Can we rearrange the fields being printed in PO layout? The form used the ADDRESS ENDADDRESS syntax. Only the Addressnumber was populated. After printing the form, the arrangement of fields were
    STREET CITY
    COUNTRY POSTAL_CODE CITY2.
I want to rearrange it to be:
    STREET
    COUNTRY POSTAL_CODE CITY.
How can I do this? And where can I do this if this is possible?
    Thanks in advance.
    Lalyn

    Hi,
the formatting of an adress depends on the value belonging tot COUNTRY.
SO i do not think the way you want is possible.
Below include some help. Read and take the best solution for it
    ADDRESS: Formatting of addresses
The command ADDRESS - ENDADDRESS formats an address according to the postal standards of the destination country defined in the parameter COUNTRY. The reference fields are described in the structure ADRS. Both constants and symbols can be assigned to the parameters.
    Syntax:
    /: ADDRESS [DELIVERY] [PARAGRAPH a] [PRIORITY p] [LINES l]
    /: TITLE title
    /: NAME name1[,name2[,name3[,name4]]]
    /: STREET street
/: POBOX PO box [CODE zip code]
    /: POSTCODE zip code
    /: CITY town1[,town2]
    /: REGION region
    /: COUNTRY country
    /: FROMCOUNTRY from country
    /: ENDADDRESS
Both formatting data and address data are parameters. Address data is formatted for output based on the COUNTRY, PRIORITY and LINES parameters. As the default, the P.O. Box is used, if it is available, rather than the street address.
     DELIVERY defines the street address.
     If this parameter is selected, the system prints the street address on the layout output instead of the P.O. Box.
     PARAGRAPH defines in which paragraph format the address is output.
     If the parameter is not defined, the address is output in the default paragraph format.
     PRIORITY defines which address lines can be omitted if there is not enough space on the output.
     You can enter a combination of the following values:
         A     form of address
         P     mandatory blank line 1
         Q     mandatory blank line 2
         2     name2
         3     name3
         4     name4
         L     country name
     S     line for the street
     O     line for the city
     LINES define how many lines are available to format the address.
If the address data cannot be completely formatted due to an insufficient number of lines, the data entered in the parameter PRIORITY is omitted. If the LINES specification is missing and this command is in a form window whose type is not MAIN, the lines available for the address layout are automatically calculated with the current output line item and window size.
     TITLE is a required form of address.
     NAME means that up to four separate names, separated by commas, can be defined.
     STREET means the street specification, including address number.
     POBOX is the Post Office box number.
     CODE is the P.O. box, postal, or zip code, if this code is different from the postal code of the city.
     POSTCODE is cityu2019s postal, or zip, code.
     CITY means that up to two place names can be defined.
     REGION determines the administrative area.
     COUNTRY specifies the country based on specific postal standards and the address format.
     FROMCOUNTRY defines in which language the destination countryu2019s name is formatted. In EEC countries, only the international country identification letter is placed, with a hyphen, before the postal code.

  • MDM Security Requirements

    Hello All:
I am new to MDM Security Administration and would like to know how and what controls are available in the system. (Example controls on able, fields etc)?
I am trying to compile a Task/Function Matrix which will help the functional teams convey their access requirement in the system.
    Help is much appreciated.
    Khurram

    Hi Khurram,
I am new to MDM Security Administration and would like to know how and what controls are available in the system. (Example controls on able, fields etc)?
I am trying to compile a Task/Function Matrix which will help the functional teams convey their access requirement in the system.
MDM security is largely maintained by the presence of roles and users. We can have roles defined in MDM which will have proper authorizations. We can then create users and then assign them roles so that we can maintain the security in MDM. This all can be done through MDM console.
These authorizations ensures that only users who have access or read/write authorization will be able to perform theie respective tasks.
This is what is mentioned in SAP Help documentation in this regard.
    A.              MDM Repository Security
A traditional SQL DBMS allows you to define basic user-level security to prevent unauthorized access to the database. You can specify the tables to which each user has access, granting at the table level either: (1) no access to the table; or (2) complete read/write access to the table, including access to all of its fields and records.
By contrast, MDM supports a dramatically more flexible multidimensional security scheme that provides much more granular control over which users can access an MDM repository, which functions they can perform, and which tables, fields, and records they can access. The MDM security scheme includes:
    ●      Users. A user represents an entity that can connect to and access the MDM repository. Each user has a user name and password, and is assigned one or more roles that collectively specify the complete set of privileges for that particular user.
    ●      Roles. Each role specifies a set of privileges to access each of the MDM repositoryu2019s tables, fields, lookup record values, and records, and to perform each of the repository functions. The same role can be assigned to more than one user.
    ●      Privileges. For each repository function, you can either prevent or allow the role to perform the function, and for each table and field, you can grant the role full read/write access or read-only access.
    ●      Constraints. For the Masks table and some lookup tables (those referenced by at least one single-valued lookup field and no multi-valued lookup fields), you can specify the set of masks or lookup values that should be visible and accessible for the role.
Precisely defining each role u2013and then assigning one or more roles to each useru2013 provides very fine control over who can access an MDM repository and how they can access it.
You can define repository security from within the MDM Console by working on the following administrative tables, which are located under a repositoryu2019s Admin node in the Console Hierarchy tree:
    ●      Roles. Defines the sets of functional permissions, access privileges, and record constraints that can be assigned to MDM user names.
    ●      Users. Defines the MDM user names that can access the MDM repository and manages their role assignments.
Within a SQL-based DBMS, you can use views to precisely control field- and record-level access by various users. However, views are cumbersome to manage, and more importantly, degrade system response, often creating severe performance bottlenecks.
    B.                  Console-Level Repository Security
Recall that MDMu2019s multi-level security model supports granular, role-based repository access to functions and data from within MDM client applications. This multi-level security model extends to administrative functions within the MDM Console itself.
The MDM Console security scheme includes:
    ●      Users
Repository administrators must connect to an MDM repository with an MDM user name and password before any administrative tasks can be performed in the MDM Console.
    ●      Roles
The roles assigned to an administratoru2019s MDM user name determine which administrative functions are permitted or restricted for that administrator in the MDM Console.
    ●      Privileges
Administrative, Schema, and Change Tracking functional groups on the Roles table enable granular control over access to all MDM Console functions.
With these features, you can precisely define limited administrative roles for each of your administrators or administrative tasks. You can then assign these targeted roles to users instead of the Admin role, which retains full access to all MDM privileges.

Go to ->Repository maintenance->MDM repository security
    You will find enough information.
    Hope it helps.

  • Display address omitted postal code for all countries in sapscript

    Hi everyone
Does anyone know how to omit the postal code for all countries(eg. US ) when displaying address in sapscript form?
I want to avoid to display postal code even the country is US.
coz my firm doesn't want to show postal code.....
Also, how to use combination keys of PRIORITY parameter?
    For example, if i want PRIORITY '1' 'S' 'L' 'N' 'C'
I cannot write like this as following....
    /:   ADDRESS DELIVERY PARAGRAPH AS <b>PRIORITY 1 S L N C</b> LINES 5
    /:   ADDRESSNUMBER &VBDKR-ADRNR_WE(K)&
    /:   FROMCOUNTRY &VBDKR-SLAND&
    /:   ENDADDRESS

    Hi,
Bold text describes the usage of <b>Priority</b>.
    ADDRESS: Formatting of addresses
The command ADDRESS - ENDADDRESS formats an address according to the postal standards of the
destination country defined in the parameter COUNTRY. The reference fields are described in the
structure ADRS. Both constants and symbols can be assigned to the parameters.
    Syntax:
    /: ADDRESS [DELIVERY] [PARAGRAPH a] [PRIORITY p] [LINES l]
    /: TITLE title
    /: NAME name1[,name2[,name3[,name4]]]
    /: STREET street
/: POBOX PO box [CODE zip code]
    /: POSTCODE zip code
    /: CITY town1[,town2]
    /: REGION region
    /: COUNTRY country
    /: FROMCOUNTRY from country
    /: ENDADDRESS
Both formatting data and address data are given as parameters. Address data is formatted for output in accordance with the parameters COUNTRY, PRIORITY and LINES. If available, the P.O. box is used instead of the street as the default.
•&#61472;DELIVERY: Defines the street address. If this parameter is selected, the system prints the street address on the layout output instead of the P.O. box.
•&#61472;PARAGRAPH: Defines in which paragraph format the address is output. If the parameter is not defined, the address is output in the default paragraph format.
<b>•&#61472;PRIORITY: Defines which address lines can be omitted if necessary. You can enter a combination of the following values:
    A form of address
    P mandatory blank line 1
    Q mandatory blank line 2
    2 name2
    3 name3
    4 name4
    L name of country
    S line for the street
    O line for the city
    </b>
•&#61472;LINES: Defines how many lines are available for formatting the address. If all the address data cannot be formatted due to an insufficient number of lines, the data entered in the parameter PRIORITY is omitted. If the LINES specification is missing and this command is in a layout set window whose type is not MAIN, the lines available for the address layout are then calculated automatically by means of the current output line item and window size.
    •&#61472;TITLE: Required form of address.
•&#61472;NAME: Up to four separate names, separated by commas, can be defined.
•&#61472;STREET: Street specification including address number.
    •&#61472;POBOX: Post Office box number.
•&#61472;CODE: P.O. box Postal or ZIP code if it is different from the postal code of the city.
•&#61472;POSTCODE: Postal or ZIP code of the city.
•&#61472;CITY: Up to two place names can be defined.
    •&#61472;REGION: Determines the administrative area.
•&#61472;COUNTRY: Specifies the country according to whose specific postal standards the address    is formatted.
•&#61472;FROMCOUNTRY: Defines in which language the name of the destination country is formatted. In EC countries, only the international country identification letter is put before the postal code with a hyphen.
    Example:
    /: ADDRESS
    /: TITLE ‘Company’
/: NAME ‘Widget Technology, Inc.’, ‘All Kind of Widgets’
    /: STREET ‘1005 Lido Lane’
    /: POBOX ‘2935’ CODE ‘94400’
    /: POSTCODE ‘94404’
    /: CITY ‘Foster City’
    /: REGION ‘CA’
    /: COUNTRY ‘USA’
    /: FROMCOUNTRY ‘USA’
    /: ENDADDRESS
    Generates the following address:
    Company
    Widget Technology, Inc.
    All Kind of Widgets
    PO box 2935
    Foster City, CA 94400
If the supplement DELIVERY is specified for the command ADDRESS, then the street is entered instead of
    the PO box.
    Company
    Widget Technology, Inc.
    All Kind of Widgets
    1005 Lido Lane

  • Green Text in Chart of Account

    Hello,
I am using SBO2005B and when creating a g/l account in the chart of Account, I am finding that some entries are automatically becomming green text and when I am trying to delete them I am not able to delete them. How to delete them. When I am selecting the green text g/l account in G/l account details in the left hand side I am finding that Titile and Active are blocked and I cannot do anything in it. Your help in this regard would be appreciated.
    Regards

    Kawish,
When you see a G/L Account in green, it means that the G/L Account has been used in G/L Determination and has been associated to a business process.
To delete an account showing in Green, you would first need to dis associate the account from the G/L determination and then delete the G/L.
Please check the G/L Determination under Administration > Definitions > Financials > G/L Account Determination
If you have already created Warehouses / Item Groups based on this G/L determination, the Accounting setting would have copied to these.  Therefore you might have to dis associate the account from these entries as well.
If you do not know the how your G/L Accounts are set in your company database, you may first check the setting in Administration > System Initialization > General Settings > Inventory tab

  • What are Features??

Please explain the concept of FEATURES?
And please explain what is a PINCH FEATURE and is its uses?
    Please help with examples?
    Warm Regards,
    Zulfikarlos

    Hi Zulfikarlos,
    FEATURES
You can use features for different purposes. The most important applications are
    Features that define default values
The system often uses features to determine default values. The system
suggests these values when you maintain infotypes that affect employee
master data. The feature either delivers a default value directly - this is then
written to the relevant infotype field (for example, the ABKRS feature ->
Organizational Assignment (infotype 0001)), or the feature delivers a key
entry as a return code, which the system can use to read one or more tables.
The system takes the stored default values from these tables and enters
them in the relevant infotype, for example, Feature LGMST -> Basic Pay
    (infotype 0008).
Hint: The system always reads these default values when you
    create an infotype.
    Features that control system processes
The feature Pnnnn (nnnn stands for the infotype number) controls the
sequence in which the system displays country-specific screens when you
maintain or display master data infotypes.
Features that automatically generate mail messages
Some features automatically generate mail messages when you change
certain master data fields, for example, the various administrators in infotype
Organizational Assignment (0001). Example: feature M0001.
    PINCH Feature
    Default for Administrator Groups
The PINCH feature determines an administrator group that is stored in the
    Organizational Assignment infotype.
You can assign administrators to an administrator group as follows:
    • Store the return code of the feature in the Group field.
    • Assign a three-character ID to each administrator.
    • Determine your administrator's name, form of address, telephone number
    and user name (mail system).
If the return value of the PINCH feature is four asterisks (****), the system
uses the name of the personnel area to which the employee is assigned in the
“Organizational Assignment infotype (0001)” as the name of the administrator
    group.
You can select the administrators stored in the system that belong to the default
administrator group. To do so, choose the F4 help in the relevant field in the
    Organizational Assignment infotype.

  • How to determine the agent of workflow administrator

In the workflow, when there is any exception raised, we need to send notification to workflow administrator. My question, how to determine the agent of workflow administrator.

    Hi jrockman li,
No it is not like that, i mean that administrator for workflow will a single person so you can simply give his userid as the agent.
As you told "YES SAP HAVE WORKFLOW ADMINISTRATOR ROLES"
    SAP_BC_BMT_WFM_ADMIN          Administrator for Business Workflow
SAP_BC_BMT_WFM_GP_ADMIN   Role for Guided Procedure Business Workflow Administrators
SAP_BC_BMT_WFM_UWL_ADMIN UWL: Administrator for Workflow Functionality
You can use this roles for the agent determination purpose for the workflow administrators.
    Thanks and Regards
    Balaji K.

  • "An error occurred when communicating with the server. Check connectivity with your administrator to determine whether further action is necessary", then attempt to approve TimeSheet.

    Kind day, colleague.
It was required to organize a statement chain for TimeSheet of employees, as we realized. Everything is good, but at linear managers in PSW opportunity to execute Approve when viewing TimeSheet of the employee remained, and in attempt to approve TimeSheet there
    is a mistake.
    500 Internal Server Error
"An error occurred when communicating with the server.  Check connectivity with your administrator to determine whether further action is necessary. "
Accept, is carried out as it is necessary.
It is a bug or we not correctly realized approval chain?

issue is  related to the user booking time against a task that was past the finish/end date listed in the Project Schedule.
To resolve the user needs to submit their time on a valid task that is still within the current reporting timeframe, or have the Project Manager
update the task in questions so that the finish/end dates are at or beyond the submission period and then republish the project. After that, the user should be able to go in and submit their timesheet with success.
