In NW2004s SP20 WebAs 640C Under Unix
for Customizating CCMS alert messages paramaters does not working... so I have to create own function modules
Can anyone tell me how to create own function modules

Transaction BUS3 - Further checks - Own function module

In order to create additional checks on BP Identification Numbers, we used tx BUS3 to add to view BUP520 under Further Checks our own function module.
As a start we took a straight copy of BUP_BUPA_PAI_MISC, the SAP delivered function module.
After the SAP FM, our Z-module gets called with parameter I_SICHT, identical to the
parameters of the SAP FM. No other parameters nor tables get passed.
How can we get hold of the same data as the SAP FM ? We want to check e.g. table
GT_BUT0ID (identification numbers). It is filled in the SAP FM at the end of FORM bup520_pai, but is empty in the Z-module ?

We also validate the ident. numbers but on check or save event.
Create and Add the new z.fm to the event DCHCK (appl = 'BUP') in tcode BUS7.
We use some trick to get this data from memory [SAPLBUD0].
You can try to use it for the PAI (the same f.group = BUD0)

SQL Loader: using your own function

Is it possible to include your own function in sql*loader? Would this be a correct syntax?

Function Module for REBDBU0012-BU Field Modification Criteria - Sample reqd

We are using three distinct type of Business Entities to look after three types of business of client. For this we have defined three number ranges for each such BE. Now, we wish to use Transaction code "REBDBU0012-BU Field Modification Criteria " and wish to define the field status of based in BE number range criteria.
I have discussed this in detail with my developer but he is unable to find any help/functional module. Is there any sample object available with in SAP library or if any member from SAP community could help us in it.

Hi Rohit,
function module that gets field status für BU in standard is REBU_REBU_EVENT_FMOD2.
There is no such function module that fulfills your requirement available yet.
For your requirement you have to develop your own function module with the same parameters and in the function module you have to insert the logic to determine the field status as you require it.
You may use REBU_GET_BUSOBJ to get the data of the object and so you should have all necessary information. As I already mentioned you can use RERO_RERO_EVENT_FMOD2_USAGE as an example.

I don't think any such function module exists.
Looks like it is your client specific requirement.
If the Gatepass number and its relavent data exists in the Database, then you can develop your own function module to get that details.
If the Gatepass number and its relavent data does not exists in the Database, then you can develop your own function modules to generate/get that details.

What is FM extractor and when we are using :
Sometimes, if your application or requirement makes it necessary, you have to create your own function module to extract the data from whatever sap system to bw.
Therefore you normally make a copy of the standard fm 'RSAX_BIW_GET_DATA_SIMPLE'. To make this new function work for you, you have to realize the following.

Spell amount functional module

hi guys,
i want u guys to help me out here.i need a functional module which works exactly like SPELL_AMOUNT.The issue is that i want the amount 100,000 to be spelt as 1 lakh instead of one hundred thousand.

If you look at the documentation of the Function Module, it tells you that the table T015Z has to be customized for your language if the default format of the spelled amounts is not acceptable.
Unfortunately, the vales are stored only based on the language, and not on the currency. So If you configure the table for the English language, then all users who log on in English will get the same format (LAKHS, CRORES etc.,). This may not be acceptable for users in a country like US where the format preferred might be MILLIONS , BILLIONS etc.,
Please exercise caution before going ahead with configuring the table.
The only other alternative (to modifying the table) that I can think of will be to write your own function module!!

I wanted to create my own RFC Function Module to get a list of purchase orders. So I could use my FM to create a MBO in Sybase WorkSpace. But I've got a problem, whenever I want to add a new MBO and start searching for my own FM, it can't find my Function Module....
How can I use my FM in SUP workspace ?

I have basically the same Problem.
I developed a function module to retrieve maintenance orders from the SAP System.
Therefore I created a package and assigned it to the PM (Plant Maintenance) application component.
Now when I connect to the SAP Server in the SUP WorkPlace, there is only one folder called "Application Components". In its subfolder "Plant Maintenance" I can't find my own function modules.
Do I have to search somewhere else or is there anything else I have to do first?

I am currently developing a J2EE application using WLS 6.1.
My team and I have to implement a security requirement to suit our company's needs.
The security requirements are that, users' password need to be aged (30 days maximum) and we need to provided a GUI front-end (JSP) to allow users to change their password when these expire after 30 days.
Our internal contacts in the company, have already taken the lead to find out about whether we will be able to use the WLS 6.1 platform to do this and the answer we got back, was.
Now we need to develop our own security module.
I have 2 questions:
1. How can we turn off the WLS security in order develop our own application-based security module?
2. How can we develop a security module that allows us to age users' password and provide them with facilities to change their passwords when these expire?
At the moment, we are using the default BEA WebLogic login.jsp page and there some configuration in the web.xml for this. I will be grateful if you could advise me on how to turn this default security off so that we can write our own security module.

Function module to copy INVOIC IDOC

One of our customers use the IDOC message type INVOIC. When the IDOC are received and the proces has been started, we will like to make a copy of the IDOC with the status code 70.
I know this functionality exist when we change the segment data using the transaction code BD87, and I have debugged this transaction, but the "copy" functionality are developed in the program SAPLEDI5 and not in a function module.
I am looking for a function module to handle this functionality. Hope you can help me.

To make a copy of idoc message type, you simply have to find the linked Function module of the Idoc. So for INVOIC, there would be a linked Function Module , you can copy the interface of the Function Module and build your own custom Function Module (Z function module) to attach it to the message type.
So the steps to your problem would be:
1. Copy the FM to attached mesaage type into a Z function module.
2. Write the functionality you require in your Z function module.
3. Attach the message type/ idoc type to this function module. The systematic steps to this can be simply carried out in the Transaction WEDI which is an area menu for EDI/IDOC . Depending on whether it is inbound/outbound, you can follow the steps.

you will need to spend time to review if each of them fits your requirement
likewise for other function, feel free to do the wildcard search using the keyword in Se37
should you are not able to find any FM for your use, i am afraid you may need to develop your own FM

Hi Raj,
Foremost of all before you can search for a BAPI you should know the BAPI you are going to use depending on your need. Generally when you are in a project the Functional Consultant gives you the BAPI which you need to use unless you are developing your own BAPI.
By going to the Transaction BAPI, you can search for the BAPI you need. This transaction takes you to the BAPI Explorer where all the BAPIs are listed in two ways,
     Alphabetical Order
     Hierarchical Order
When the BAPI you need is found you can get all the details regarding all the parameters that are used in the BAPI and also as to how they are declared. DOCUMENTATION is provided for all the BAPI parameters describing them. In the DOCUMENTATION for the BAPI you fill find how a particular BAPI can be used to perform different operations. For ex: the BAPI called BAPI_PROJECT_MAINTAIN can be used perform UPDATE or RELEASE operations.
Some useful tips when using a Standard BAPI,
     Go through all the data declarations of the BAPI parameters and check if any Conversion Rules are used. This is helpful as you will need to declare variables for every parameter in BAPI that you would be used by you. And all these variables should be declared of the same data type as the BAPI parameters.
     Check to see if there any mandatory fields that need to be passed. Look for all the BAPI parameters that you would need and declare variables for them and map them correctly.
     Though RETURN (generally a table) is may not be mandatory its useful to use it as any messages regarding success or error while processing the BAPI are populated in it. In some cases the RETURN may be a structure and in such a case there would another table where messages are populated. These are useful to be used in the program.
     After processing BAPI, if successful then the Function Module BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT is performed to save the changes. But if its not successful then the Function Module BAPI_TRANSACTION_ROLLBACK is performed to rollback any changes that would have occurred.

You can directly create a new process code and assign your custom function module name to the process code, to create process code the tcodes are WE41(For Outbound) & WE42 (For Inbound). When at the time of creation it is asking for function module name, there you can give your own custom module name.

Problem with Call transaction method in function module

Dear Frndz,
           I am converting its services into webdynpro.
           I developed a rfc[function module] for travel management [TRIP] . In that rfc i used call transaction method[BDC] to upload the data. The same rfc will be called from the frontend[portal].It is working fine in development for whome se37 execution authorization was assigned. It is not working for other users. I hope it is something relevant to authorization .If suppose can i create a authorization object for this rfc and assign it to the profile.
        Normally users can be given authorization to run the tcode.
similarly i want to give the authorization to be given users to execuste this funtion module.
huv can i do it ?? any suggestion.

Use ST01 transaction to start authorization trace, you will then see what authorizations are missing (if your assumption is right of course, i.e. if it's really an authorization problem)

Any inbuilt Function Module available in CRM to create a Business Partner

Hi All,
I need to create a business partner in CRM not manually through GUI. I need to develop a function module that will create a Business Partner in CRM.
Can some one tell me if there is an in-built BAPI/Function Module availabe in CRM to create a business partner in CRM.
When i researched i found that there is a BAPI BAPI_BUPA_FS_CREATE_FROM_DATA2 which can create a business partner in CRM.
I dont know how to use this BAPI, can some one help me with some sample code.
Also will the development of a function module differ in CRM when compared to ECC?

Hello,
Standard CRM PC UI application offers three options when you push 'New' button: 'Person', 'Organization' and 'Group' (combobox appears). In your case, 'Person' should be selected.
p.s. If you don't see combobox mentioned above, it could be security issue.
